Everytime I go here, they are friendly and patient. Have been going there for years and I have gotten suggestions and input on how to get in the CCDF program. And, the kids love the kids toy corner. It's much better than the other eastside location. But, I have been to both and the program is so good, I will be back.

This place is horrible. Residents and staff going around cussing. Hard to get your medications and test your sugar levels. I put myself there and decided to leave. When I was leaving the resident manager asked me, “who told you that you can leave.” I said, “I did.” That question still confused me. I think his name is Jerry. I asked him if I could fill my water bottle up while I was waiting for my ride. He told me no. I asked him if he would do it he said no. I asked Geno to do it he said no. Mind you they claim to be a Christian organization. They must have forgotten the scripture: John 6:35. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. All they want to do is treat you like slaves working in extreme temperatures and not pay you but $3 a week for your work. Disgusting place and needs to shutdown

So far in my experience everything has been fantastic. The entire vibe is great and safe, the front desk staff are angels, and both my psychiatrist (Leah Sands) and therapist (Amber Gibson) have been very respectful, intelligent, and very good listeners. I can't wait to continue my healing journey.

I have been a patient at Bowen for almost 4 years. In those four years I have been seeing Michelle Para and Shannon Walter-Harvey. Both are true assets to the company. From the receptionist, to the medical assistants/nurses to the providers I have always received compassionate care. I’ll admit it hasn’t been perfect, some wait times go over but they are always there. I have never felt judged or let down while going to Bowen. They have helped me during some of my most unlovable times and saw me through my sobriety and for that I thank you! Mental health is a difficult beast to deal with and takes time and I feel people don’t always realize that. If you are looking for quality and compassion this is an excellent resource. Thank you for all you do!

This place genuinely saved my life. I spent five months here between ages 17 and 18, and genuinely believe that I owe my continuing existence to this place. Before going, I was so scared of what I would be without my depression and anxiety - I had grown so comfortable in it that I was truly convinced it was and should be my entire personality. I was regularly hurting myself, watching disturbing videos (that I'm still dealing with in therapy today), and worse. I was terrified to come here, but it wasn't at all what I had expected. The place was warm, welcoming, and matter-of-fact about what was going on. They aren't overly-coddling, they're there to seriously help you, and if you genuinely want help and to change, then you will change for the better every time. Many people are put off by how hard the work to change your mindset and essentially entire mental identity really is, and they give up. But this place paved the way for me to become who I am today. I learned coping skills and ways of thinking here that I would never have ever learned anywhere else, and I am so happy to see the people I love have improved mental health after I teach them some of the skills that I learned here.

The Recovery Village Indianapolis Drug and Alcohol Rehab in Indianapolis, Indiana supports adults suffering from addiction and mental health challenges. I just completed their 28 day stay and it was pretty good. The class's are full with knowledge and tools and coping skills. Most of the staff have your best interests at heart. The food is good and there is alot. Tvs in your room with Netflix, YouTube, tubi, Pluto. You get your phone 2 hours a day everyday. You can smoke, and chew pretty much whenever you want. The nurses will get your meds squared away without a problem. Your counselor will met with you for one on one's all throughout the week. I want to give a shout out to my counselor Lisa White, she really cared about what I was going through and helped me my whole time there. They also provide places you can go to after you complete the program. They have a detox side you can go to when you first get there if you are coming off hard drugs. They have a full size gym with all the equipment and and outside basketball court, volleyball, football, ping pong, cards, and art supplies. You can order stuff from Amazon like hygiene. You can also order nicotine products if you have cash or card or your people can drop them off. I had a easy great time there. You just got to focus on yourself and not worry about what other people are doing. It's easy to get caught up in what other people are doing and if you are going through anything like that just talk to counselor. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to get there life headed in the right direction. It's a good starting place. They bill your insurance so it's pretty much free, it dont cost any actual money. Thanks so much recovery village I appreciate the help and I am doing good still.

After going through one of the scariest experiences of my entire life, and waiting in what felt like a limbo-esque ER, I cannot even begin to explain how grateful I am for Coping Center. The staff immediately were warm and welcoming, ready to help me work through what I was struggling with, even at my arrival time of 10:30pm. As someone who was nervous looking at other reviews and the lack of information about the schedule on the website, hopefully I can clear up some concerns. 1. There is a daily schedule, lasting from roughly 7/9am to 8pm. It is often subject to change, and you are encouraged to attend group sessions, but not required. (The first day I slept mostly, but I'm glad I started to attend them on my 2nd day because it helped more than I thought it would) 2. You can call anyone from 6am to 10pm, and can even set it up so that certain people can call YOU. There is also visitation from 4 to 5 EVERY DAY, but it can only be one person who is 18 or older. 3. Yes, your phone will be taken away. They will let you write down numbers before they do. Honestly, aside from the logistical concerns of patients having phones, it was kind of nice to totally detach from the stressors of the online world and social media for a few days. 4. The accommodations are great, especially for a hospital, but be prepared to sleep a bit uncomfortable. Bring some clothes going in, or try and get people to drop them off shortly after arrival. You'll have to wear scrubs at first, but 24 hours in you can change into streetwear. Make sure none of it has strings, or they will need to cut it off. 5. The food is better than what I was expecting, but don't be looking for a gourmet experience. Order as much food as you can every meal, as you never know when you might be craving a snack. 6. All of the staff were absolutely incredible, but huge shoutouts to Sam, Chey, Alyssia (?), and Dr. Mercado for being extremely personable and ready to help anyone through whatever they were working through. 7. Go in hoping not for a cure or immediate treatment, but ready to look inward and take the time to learn what you need. I know that for people struggling with mental illness, such as myself, it can sometimes be hard to see that you need help, or be willing to accept it. I could have shut everything out and hunkered down, but then I wouldn't have had change and gotten the chance to see my cat again so soon! 8. Read, read, read! Yes, I am a former book lover who has gotten back into it, but reading truly saved me during my time here. Yes the groups were great, the people were kind, and the TV was enticing, but while you read, you make notes of what is happening in the literature and often get to think about your OWN story. Though I am glad to be home, I will in the weirdest way miss the comforting and routine structure of the Coping Center. I hope to be able to give back some day!

*PLEASE READ!!* I struggled with addiction and mental health for the last 10 years. In and out of rehab, hospitals, a never ending struggle. The coping center is THE FIRST place that actually made a difference. The doctor, the therapists, the nurses, everyone- were BEYOND supportive and knowledgeable of their jobs. Frankly, I’m shocked at some of the low reviews on here…if anything- I’d say it CLEARLY comes from disgruntled patients who weren’t ready to change or take genuine responsibility for themselves. Let’s not forget, the patients here have to be willing to change, if they aren’t willing, then no place will help them. Excuses won’t allow you to heal properly. How do I know this? Because I did it for the last decade of my life. Complaining about them “not releasing you”- is their way to love and protect you if you can’t do it yourself yet. Personally, I think is tragic people want to discredit this place- because I know it can help so many people like me. This is an individual journey, and a REAL CHANCE to learn how to love & put yourself first. This place gives you that opportunity!!! I’d give more than 5 stars if I could. If you need help, or someone you love needs help- save yourself time and send them here! It was a blessing, and I can’t brag enough! Thank you to everyone at the coping center for changing my life, and finally giving me the chance to live life the way I deserve to, and the chance to love my family the way they deserve to be loved!!!

I wish I could give this horrific program zero stars. To start, some of the support staff is just horrifically rude. But the worst part. The worst and most awful part of this program is Kaitlin. I have been in programs before but Kaitlin just fully should not be a therapist. At all. Anywhere. At best, she doesn’t care. The experience I had with her was scaring. She spent the entire time I was there pushing me into residential treatment. When I told her over and over and over again that wasn’t what I wanted, and practically begged from start to finish to simply be allowed to join the trauma cohort - she refused to let me and pushed harder for residential instead. I finally mentioned to other staff members this was happening and she clearly did not like that, because it got worse from there. I opened up about a horribly traumatic experience in a one on one with her, to which she said nothing, because all she does in one on ones (or group sessions at that) is stay silent and stare at you, and then immediately after we went into a process group where I began to open up again. Before I even got out fully what I wanted to say she said “have you considered what you have done to make people treat you this way?” I played dumb because I wanted her to be clear. She hesitated and did not want to answer. The rest of the group tried to chime in and make it better. One of the group members said “I think what she meant was that these things happened to you but you didn’t deserve it.” To which she replied “the first part… not the second part.” At this point I left the program entirely. I called the patient advocate but I never heard anything after that first phone call. I spoke to my outpatient therapist who agreed that in no way did I need residential treatment. I ended up going to another outpatient program where I received proper care and actually got better. They agreed as well that I did not in any way need residential treatment. I am convinced Kaitlin was lying about me to others on the treatment team as well. At one point I watched her run to the back office and over heard her explaining away an incident between us to cover her tracks. I even told her in a one on one that I didn’t feel she liked me very much. She said “I would encourage you not to worry about that.” There was a group session separately where everyone in the group went around saying they felt similarly. That she simply did not like them. Another woman walked out in the middle of a session while I was there as well. Kaitlin traumatized me more than when I went in. She should not be there. And their management staff doesn’t care about any of this at all. I hate linden oaks. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone unless you want to be worse than you were when you went in. Disgusting place with disgusting treatment and patient care. Editing to add: every patient is supposed to receive a survey at the end of their experience here. I did receive my paperwork after I left with my notes, but of course was never given the chance to submit a survey. I am sure you can see why.

Had a great therapist for a year or so, she left and she told me where she went and I followed her there, when she returned to Mahajan, I went back, but she left again, the new therapist told me my mental issues were a sickness to be cured. As a mental health facility, this place is a joke. They do not take appointments and the customers time seriously. I was referred here for ADHD testing as a 43 year old adult. I had my appointment scheduled for about a month for my evaluation. The day before my appointment they called to make sure i was going to be there at noon and to tell me it would be a 2 hour appointment. I forgot to get the address, so I called the following morning at 8am, they gave me the address and said see you at noon. I get there at noon to be told the guy doing my assessment was not there today and I’d need to reschedule, I was upset as I took off work for this and I spoke to them that morning, they had every chance to tell me the guy wasn’t there, but for some odd reason they thought it better for me to come in and waste my time. Finally after talking to the director, he found someone to do my assignment. I was told when I left someone would contact me in 2-3 days with my results. No one contacted me at all, I had to call them and find out what was going on. They informed me I was still supposed to see a psychiatrist. Yet no one at my first appointment told me that. So I schedule an appointment with a psychiatrist, 2 weeks go by and they call me the day before to say “we only have you in our books for 20 minutes and you need 40 for your appointment” even tho they told me when I scheduled it was 40 minutes, so I scheduled an hour off work. They forced me to cancel my appointment then proceeded to treat me like crap b/c I was upset they literally screwed me over twice with scheduling. They made me feel like I was a bother to them, they do not care about mental health. I have never been treated like this from a facility that is here to help people. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

Wonderful and practical treatment that touches on life areas and application. Donna is welcoming and sincere but not afraid to tell you hard truths. Her ability to share her knowledge and provide anecdotal stories truly helps to put topics in perspective. A very positive environment where I found myself engaged and interested. Group therapy also helps to remove the shame stigma. Nearly everyone can benefit and I wholeheartedly recommend Thankyou for caring.

Don’t go here if you need help they will drop you as a patient once you lose your Medicaid. What place only accepts Medicaid? When you’re dealing with behavioral health you need to take care of everyone no matter what insurance they have. This place is dangerous for doing that to their patients, they will make you suffer more and stop your medication without a replacement or referral.

I have been coming here since 2019. VA hospitals get allot of bad rep but I have never had long waits for appointments. All the staff are polite and professional. My follow up appointments are always scheduled within reason. When ever they believe I might have a medical issue they have always been quick to recognize that and schedule tests same day or next day. Even though I live closer to the Louisville, KY hospital I will continue to choose this as my primary care facility.

This clinic had my back all the way now people that talk bad about a clinic is because they were probably using while being in treatment I used most of my time there because I myself did not hit rock bottom until it almost killed me but they stood behind me all the way it’s the reason I am alive today they also do Suboxone so if methadone is something you don’t want but Dr.soria is an awesome doctor and the director Margaret is a very caring person. Also, our obviously the better you do the better your time will be, but that’s anywhere, so whoever is reading this if you’re considering it, I would do it get clean, save your life and live a good life.good luck

This is a wonderful place, and doctor Soria is one of the most caring and passionate doctors I've ever met. Those who don't like it are the ones who couldn't get with the simple program and got kicked out or otherwise removed from the program.
