Over the past year I been dealing with a Rare Blood Disorder called Systemic Mastocytosis. It is a Mast Cell Disease. Local Hospital & John Hopkins both told me, we know what you have, there is no cure, there is no pill, there is nothing else we can do for you. After 10 years of my own research I found out I need to take an antihistamine with H1 and H2 blockers to reduce allergic reactions. Cambridge VA has been over seeing my symptoms, plus psychological therapy. Getting me a new back brace to support my 17 compression fractures. You are greeted very respectful by everyone. Appointment times run on time. The clinic is 40 miles away from where I live. I rather travel 40 miles, than go the local Doctors. Only 1 of my 8 local doctors that I have, has went out of his way to help me. Cambridge VA go out of their way to help you in anyway possible.

People please protect your mental and your peace. I am fighting a battle in which many people do not understand, unless it is happening to them or a loved one. A battle in which I do not wish upon anyone. Its me today but can be you tomorrow. This world has no compassion or empathy for those whom are suffering. My disease is a hidden disability and because I do not look like I feel I am judged and criticized. I feel so sick, alone, afraid, and helpless. Despite all the medical evidence that proves my claim they still think its not true. I am really suffering behind most often a painted smile. However, now im tired. Crying and screaming within. Why is all this happening to me? I never have time to catch my breath. Being blind or legally blind is not easy. One day I could see and then suddenly you can barely see anything. The world changed just like that. Shame on those who do not have a heart and who is trying to break mines with their opinions. Who do you turn to when there is nowhere or noone to turn to? This is a shout out for Cynthia who takes calls and does the clerical part. She's efficient, empathetic, and has gone above and beyond helping me with a family member. It is so appreciated you have no idea! It starts from the front desk on the way back. Working in an office myself the front desk can be overlooked but they are very very much part of the team. Admitted through RGR Emergency Room with a suspected stroke. I cannot emphasize the professionalism exhibited there and the entire staff after I was admitted for inpatient care. Everyone, I say again, everyone treated me with the same professionalism I experiened in the ER, as well as a level of caring that I did not expect. Thank you Drs. Haynie and Rudd and Nurse Kelsi! If you have a loved one being admitted here you truly do not need to worry. The staff are so kind, caring, respectful, and attentive to all needs whether it is help opening a juice box to de-escalating. They treat each individual as an individual person and are also kind and caring towards one another. I fully believe every facility from pediatric to adult in this state needs to come visit this hospital and speak to the staff members here and learn from them. This is how hospitals of this degree should be ran. Thank you again for doing your jobs on such an exceptional level.

I go here, I have since December so it's been 6 months now. And while I like it here and everyone is so nice and kind. Everything moves slow. I understand they have other people and other paperwork being pushed through, I've just personally never been to a clinic that is this slow with process paperwork. Like every 30 days you're eligible for phasing up if you're doing good and everything looks good clean urines etc I've had clean Urines for almost 2 1/2 years and been here 6 months and STILL coming in twice a week. The last clinic I was at I had already gotten 2 weeks take homes by the time I was going on my 3rd month! So if paperwork could get processed faster this place would be great! So for that reason I'm only giving 4 starts!

sadly when you see ratings that are so far apart and no real middle ratings one has to ask themselves who is the real problem. So all I can say is the staff on all levels has been great. Sometimes I wonder if they debrief the staff enough. I mean some of these kids and parents I see while waiting for my appointment drive me crazier than I already am lol. If everyone you meet is a jerk maybe the jerk is you.

I just left Community Behavioral Health after the inpatient program. This is the best place to get sober and get the help you need. The staff is great and the patients there really care about one another.
