Today I went to the Crpt IHS for the flu shot. Man, I tell you, I had a good experience there the people were so extra nice. I could not believe it. They treated me like royalty. I initially left a 1 star review. I’ll admit the process to get in is kind of annoying but the therapist I wound up seeing was really helpful. I still go back to him occasionally. He helped me come a long way. The front desk are only people too and are actually really nice. I’m going back and forth between the 4 and 5 star because of the intake process because it’s so annoying 😭😂 Fill out 2 packets then make an apt to answer questions (takes about 30-45min) then you make an apt with a therapist. I believe you have to do it yearly.

I’ve been coming to New Mexico Treatment Center for some time now there’s been a lot of staff that have came an gone it’s sad just when we start to open up to these counselors the next week they’re gone .Theres a few really good counselors up stairs .Theres 1 Dedicated to Her patience the most is Darlene, any time anyone has questions or concerns she’s on it. She goes above & beyond for her patience helps get dog food donated for those who are homeless with animals. They didn’t have security when I first started coming now they do it’s helped, u just have those without any where to go so yes they do hang around . I think they’re should be more programs that are hands on because Being an addict is one thing and for some it’s even harder for some to sit in a room full active users it makes it hard for those who are taking their sobriety serious. Keep up the fight to end addiction.

I have traveled all over the country and visited a few VA facilities throughout my life, and I have to say that this Albuquerque campus is easily the best one I have ever seen. What truly sets this medical center apart is the staff—these are genuinely caring people who treat you with real respect. Every single interaction I’ve had here has been outstanding. Dr. Vasi in the ENT department is exceptional, providing top-tier care and actually taking the time to listen. My experience with Erika in Physical Therapy has been equally fantastic, as she is incredibly dedicated to helping you improve. Even the staff down in the lab who draw blood are incredibly kind, patient, and caring, which turns what is usually a routine chore into a pleasant visit. The campus itself is large, but the exceptional attitude of the staff across all these different departments makes navigating your healthcare here a much better experience than at other facilities nationwide. I am deeply grateful for the high level of care and humanity shown by the team here.

This VA is without question the Diamond in the Rough of the VA system. No matter the department or mental state that I arrive in...I have been treated with care and dignity and respect. I have been to some absolutely midevil VA hospitals that wouldn't know what a uterus is even if you threw one at em. As a female veteran ive found VA care to be very hit and miss, but the folks here both male and female staff have always strived to accommodate me (even if I was acting crazy). They have THE best mental health care in the VA IMO. BEACON (WALK-IN emergency mental health) is an absolute blessing and every VA should have something similar. If youre a vet and want to know about your benefits and care options, ABQ is the place to go. Is it without issues? Of course not. The difference here is when they do fall short they really work to fix it or make it right. I am so grateful to them for everything over the last 6 years Ive been here.

I have been seen by the optometrist, audiologist, ENT, sleep center, and most recently the MRI section and have been amazed EVERY time with the caring, professional attitudes of ALL of the employees. In fact, the last time I attempted an MRI at a civilian hospital, I was unable to complete it. At the VA, it was only due to Jeff's compassionate and caring manner that I was able to complete the MRI. This is the best healthcare I have ever received, bar none.

I voluntary went to cenakor September 10 2025 for the 30 day program. I have not relapsed once. I got a good job, my relationships with my girlfriend, family, friends are a 100 times better. My health is better, my mind is clear, I am learning everyday to love my sober self again thanks to Cenakor! Honestly, I can't really complain. I had 3 meals a day, plus fruits as a snack. Yes, we shared a dorm but I had a good dorm group for the most part. We had a comfortable bed, a small laundry room with 2 wash days, we had easy chores to keep our minds busy that helped with the rehabilitation process. I did dishes the whole time I was there when we weren't attending our classes and AA meetings etc. Which sometimes involved activities throughout the day, we had plenty of free time. We could smoke cigarettes, that was a plus for me. I would play basketball, volleyball, I learned to play spades, and make bracelets. We would also play music on the speaker at night time, we would get chips and salsa for our night meetings, we got popcorn when we watched movies. I know Cenakor isn't a Marriott hotel but for what it's business purpose is, I don't have a single complaint. I am truly grateful for Cenikor and the BHTs I got to know while I was in recovery. Shout out to the staff members Daphne, Michael, and Kayla. They were a big part of my recovery and still are. Also, to the entire medical/nurse staff.

It's a state run facility so you will encounter; individuals court ordered to treatment who don't really care, homeless who just want a place to stay and temporarily detox, staff members on a power trip that will take every opportunity to put you down and threaten you. But if you are serious about your recovery, there are a dozen staff members In recovery who will move heaven and earth to support you, Find them utilize them take in their wisdom. While everyone else is working at TLH for a paycheck they are working there for you. They won't force you to get clean or use the coping skills but if you ask for help you can bet your butt they will be the first in line to give it to you.
