In an intimate, mou | Treatments Programs Payment Options | When I first came to Alpine, I was tired of being sick and exhausted from Alcoholism.
I had the privilege of working with Montana. She made the intake process easy and met me where I was at.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by Austin, who made the intake process relaxed and chill, and I felt safe.
I met the doctor on my first day who was through and knew what he was doing, and he got me on medications that worked!
I have had the privilege of working with Shannon, who is phenomenal. She is the kind of gal who knows what’s up and will tell you the truth in the most honest and loving way. She led classes that were beneficial and educational.
Jake is a fantastic therapist, and you are blessed if you are on his caseload. He is a man full of knowledge, wisdom and empathy. I’ve never worked with a male therapist before and I felt safe within our first session.
Heather who handles case management is doing God’s work. No seriously. She answered all my questions, made sure all of my outside stuff was handled and made discharge planning a breeze.
Process group is essential in my opinion and Ami, Kelli, Will and Jake made me feel at ease sharing.
If your looking for a treatment center, look know further. Alpine has helped me tremendously and I cannot thank them enough.
Also, the mentors are terrific. Kelsie, Sara, Hans and Austin made a positive impact on me during my time at Alpine and I cannot thank them enough. They are living proof that sobriety is achievable and that the light comes back.
Special shout out to Laura for being a phenomenal house manager. She is wonderful and if you get a chance to cross paths with her you will be amazed.

It has been 2 years since my time at The Phoenix. I can honestly say they saved my life. I didn’t know how they could possibly help me since I had already done some extreme treatments for my debilitating depression and SI. I started in residential and altogether spent about 5 months in their care. It took me working the steps and being accountable along with their care and I know I would not be here if it wasn’t for the help I received from their awesome staff. I still implement the skills I was taught there and refer back to the workbook we used. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Going there was the best thing I have ever done for myself in my whole life. I highly recommend this facility for anyone dealing with trauma. The modalities of therapy offered were life-changing. I learned many new life skills, and have tools to bring home as I continue my healing and recovery journey. I felt like I was in a safe, beautiful home with the most loving, caring, and kind staff you could ever ask for. The best part is that I made lifelong friends that I will cherish forever. The entire program is incredibly well structured, the staff and therapists are very knowledgeable and kudos to the chefs, as the food was not only nutritious, but phenomenal! Aside from the educational groups that range from group processing, yoga Nidra, sound bath, nutrition and wellness, equine and music therapy (my personal favorites) DBT, CBT, and stress management were incredibly valuable, and I learned so much from these programs. Jen was the first person I spoke with, and I knew in our conversation that this was the right place for me. I was warmly welcomed right from the beginning, and knew this journey would be healing and memorable. We also were able to have a lot of fun with the experiential activities they carefully planned for us. Special kudos to Vikki and Kevin, who went out of their way to give me the care and tools for me to maintain my recovery. I am forever grateful to every single person at Maple Mountain recovery. I researched the entire country for two weeks to find this place, and it was worth that time because they deserve every rave review they get! Super highly recommended and feel free to reach out if you have any questions! Thank you so much to everyone at MMR! I will never forget you and love you all💜

I came to MMR very very scared, I was in a constant out-of-body experience my first few days. The staff and even the clients were super supportive and calm around me. Everyone continued this encouraging, positive attitude and were very sensitive to my needs while I was here. The encouragement to attend group activities was important for me to come out of my shell.
I'd say about two weeks in was when I really felt a part of the house, and began to see improvement in myself.
To the staff at MMR ya'll are angels in disguise here on earth. You are doing the father's work, showing all us broken people love and hope. I appreciate my experience and am going home with tools I didn't have before. Thank you

I just tried calling to help my husband through a situation. While he is in required classes and signed a contract stating he cannot miss more than 30 days in a row, he has a job and a family and was unable to make it last week. He was then told when he spoke with them that as long as he came in this week that he would not be discharged. We feel that he was lied to and not communicated with properly. He would have moved things around last week had he known that the class he attended last night would not count and he was already discharged. It was a waist of his time to go in and he missed out on a shift at work to make sure he made it. As I was trying to explain this I was hung up on. At no point did I show any hostility, I was simply showing my frustration with the entire situation. I feel that they need to train their staff better so that miss information is not given. This place is supposed to help our mental health but this situation has caused the opposite.
Do better.

I hope that Utah finds a way to recognize this program as the greatest program I have ever been a part of and I’ve been a part of at least 15 to 20 and this was the only program that could get through to me a very special thanks too DR KING For recognizing the things I needed before things got out of hand without you and the other staff I could not tell you what would’ve happened to me. I’m looking forward to seeing you every month Dr. king I hope you see this and hope you know I didn’t see you just as a doctor, but I saw you as a friend And I can’t wait to start seeing you on a monthly basis at Silver Creek. It will be very soon. this coming from a man that never thought he would make it until a treatment center showed him how to straight up. Sent my daughter there for over a year and a half. My daughter liked the people so never complained. She just got better at hiding her problems. Thank God she decided to tell me the truth about the theory she received at $200 a session. All they did was talk about the week in review. Much like a girlfriend would do. Never did they address the problem or find ways to deal with it. I would never recommend them unless you need to pay $200 a week for a girlfriend

The steps program failed me. I graduated their iop program showing my dedication and desire to staying sober. Then I had a small relapse. So I came back for help. I also had a funeral to attend. I had arranged with them prior to me coming back that I was going to attend the funeral. When the time came for me to take the time off they discharged me for my absence. Even though they said it would be OK for me to attend the funeral and be absent for the dates I had set with them. From my understanding they are under new management. Steps used to be dedicated to helping people stay sober and learn new life skills to improve there life and well-being. Know it seems they'll turn you away and don't care whether you need help or not. They used to understand that this is life or death. Steps don't really care there just good at pretending to care.

My nephew came to Recovery Ways and it was the first program that really worked for him, after two years of trying four other programs. He came out of this program a different, new person, his best self. What made RW different? The type of program--
1) Intensive therapy and classes with real learning, my nephew is super smart so he's hard to impress, he criticizes everything, but he was quoting the lesson & tools he learned here.
2) The staff was always present, available, created a strong sense of support along with the peer support group which was healing for my nephew, he finally felt he belonged somewhere.
3) Pragmatic, realistic program located in the city with daily visits to sites, bookstore, gym, aquarium. Patients learn sobriety in the midst of real life and daily activity in town, rather than being isolated then return to real life, they're accustomed to living sober.
4) Focus on mental health at Copper Hills was exactly what my nephew needed. They gave him exactly the tools that worked for him.
5) RW is unique, it includes both RT residential therapy and PHP partial hospitalization, all in patient, and covered by insurance, so no rent, you get room and food. So it's a 2 month min. program or longer.
6) Staff is amazing, very competent, on top of details, needs, circumstances, concerns. Matt and John were a godsend, every day, they went the extra mile, counselled with me on all needs, gave excellent advice and referrals to help me solve all my nephew's needs and navigate insurance, then transfer to sober living.
I can't praise RW enough, I thank God we found this place, I doubt any other place would have done what RW did for my nephew. It gave him a new self and life.

Steps was the first place I've ever gone to treatment and it was well worth it, so far it's saved my relationship with my wife, my family and myself. The staff is extremely kind and caring and just wants to help however in order for them to do so you have to be 110% open and willing to put in the work yourself.
If your looking into treatment this may help you so you know what your going into and what you can bring.
Blankets and pillows from home.
You can vape and smoke (don't flush vapes down the toilet or you'll lose your privileges for everyone it almost happened).
You can have food and candy (no energy drinks).
Family nights every other week on Tuesdays.
Black out period is 5 days (no phone calls).
Very scheduled, you'll be going from 8am to 8pm every day but it passes time quickly.
Just a few things that made my time easier, so if your looking into becoming a better you, this is the place to start.

I started using at a young age, not realizing at the time that it was a way for me to cope with deeper issues. I got sober in 2001 but relapsed in 2008 and continued using until March of 2023, when I was dropped off at Wasatch Recovery. That moment changed my life.
Wasatch didn’t just help me get clean—they helped me understand myself. The staff, the program, the support—they gave me tools I never had before, and for the first time, I found peace, joy, and real purpose.
It’s emotional to say, but I’m actually grateful for my addiction and everything I went through, because it led me here. I’ve hurt people along the way, and recovery hasn’t been easy, but Wasatch helped me build a life worth living.
I’m now two years clean—and even more meaningful, I work at Wasatch Recovery today. This place didn’t just help me heal—they gave me a second chance, and I’ll be forever grateful.

Look no further, this is the place. Coming to Wasatch Recovery was the BEST decision I ever made. For years I had been desperately trying to change my lifestyle and pull myself out of addiction without success. Wasatch changed everything for me. The therapists are extremely qualified and very intuitive. I learned so much from them and the rest of the staff. They taught me how to align myself with the best version of myself, to love myself, to practice integrity, to be honest, to serve and uplift others, to be accountable, and gave me so many tools to grow and heal not only while I was there but things I still use now 10 months out of rehab.
The staff are passionate about their jobs and about the mission of Wasatch. You can feel that their hearts are in it. I had never been to a treatment program where the owner shows up as much as Mark does. You can feel that he has a deep love for all of the clients and he and his team work hard to provide the best care possible. I could go on and on, this place relight the fire inside me to create a life that I will never give up. Thank you 🙏 💞

This place is amazing! The staff are wonderful and supportive in every way. They challenge and also support you. Changed my life in more ways than one and all for the better. Absolutely recommend this place. Ms. Noelle is a skilled therapist who helped repair our family relationships and relationships with ourselves. Ms Robyn also led beneficial group therapy and helped out on hard days. The staff are talented. The excursions help add a sense of normalcy. Cannot praise this place enough.

I am extremely grateful for Embark. My daughter has been struggling for the past 5 years with her mental health, and the last year and a half has been extremely difficult for her. This led to her needing higher care to keep her safe. That transition alone was enough to rip our hearts out. To not be with her every day or comfort her while she was struggling, was unbearable for me as her Mother. As hard as it was for me though, it was even harder for her, which is what makes me so grateful for Embark. My daughter went there 2 days before Christmas💔 and also missed her birthday with family, which was two weeks after. While it was extremely hard for us to find any joy in those occasions this year, Embark made it special for her. They did stockings for the girls and had so many fun activities. I always felt informed and had several contact numbers at Embark with direct lines to staff to be able to check on my daughter. They were also very accommodating and gave my daughter the respect to make choices for herself. They made special accommodations for her diet, schooling, and even sleeping arrangements when she was struggling. They never treated my daughter with unkindness and she said they were always really nice. Even when it came to my daughter expressing anger and saying she was going to run away, they respectfully accompanied her as she went for a walk until she decided to return. They informed me if the incident right away and told me that they didn't restrain her from her behaviors because she needs to have the ability to be able to function when she comes home without us keeping her safe. I love this about them because she ultimately had to make the right choices herself.
As scary as it is to have your child away from home and in the care of others, I know that my daughter is in a much better place psychologically after having gone through their program. They do so many fun things in the program. While my daughter was there, they went to the rec center and library weekly, the movies, and also horseback riding. They frequently did Just Dance, ordered pizza, and had movie and popcorn nights, etc.
Unless you are a parent who has a child that has gone through a mental health illness, you can't fathom the pain it causes, but knowing that she was treated with love and kindness and that they gave her an environment of happiness while we were apart, is the best I could have asked for.
Thank you so much Embark!💖💖

Full of people that cared about me and helped me achieve my goals, there are some changes now from when I went but it is important to embrace the changes and not let failure get into your head because every step of the way is earned not given.

| Located in the heart of Orem, Utah, the Center for Change is more than just an eating disorder treatment center. It’s a place where individuals find hope, healing and a path forward. Specializing in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder, the Center for Change also provides comprehensive support for those facing co-occurrin | Treatments Programs Payment Options | The Center for Change truly changed my life—but I won’t pretend it was easy. In fact, treatment is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. There were rules, structure, and accountability that felt overwhelming at times—but I now understand they were exactly what I needed to start healing.
The staff was firm when necessary, but always kind, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. They created a safe environment where I could be vulnerable even on my worst days. The therapy, meal support, and sense of community helped me face things I never thought I could.
I’ve seen some reviews mention punishments or consequences during treatment. From my perspective—both as a former patient and now as an employee—I can say with confidence that nothing is done to be harsh or mean. Everything is structured to support recovery, not control or punish. The goal is always to help separate the individual from their eating disorder, even when that means holding difficult boundaries. It’s done with care, intention, and a deep understanding of what true healing takes.
Now, as someone who works here, I have the unique privilege of seeing this life-changing care from both sides. I can personally vouch for the integrity and dedication of the team. It’s not just a job for anyone here—it’s a mission, and that heart is felt in everything we do. The Center for Change continues to be a place of hope and transformation, and I’m honored to be a part of it.

This place has helped me beyond measure. I came in needing support and structure and found a kind of weird little family. I know that staying sober is my responsibility but Serenity Station has been an integral part of laying down a good foundation.

My name is Marissa, and I attended New Haven (Spanish Fork Campus) from 2013 to 2014, residing in the Roosevelt house. I’m writing this review to provide a balanced perspective in light of the recent negative attention New Haven has received from some former alumni. I hope my insights can help future parents in their decision-making.
When I arrived at New Haven, I was transitioning from a physically demanding wilderness program called Second Nature. I was in great physical shape, weighing 140 pounds with a muscular build. However, during my time at New Haven, I experienced rapid weight gain, reaching a peak of 198 pounds by the time I left, and I’m 5'5" tall. Despite my significant weight gain being monitored weekly, it didn’t seem to raise alarms with the medical staff, which is something I believe could be improved.
One aspect of my experience at New Haven was the treatment team. It could be intimidating to sit in a room with eight or so people evaluating my progress and behavior, especially when they shared feedback in front of other girls during our Thursday meetings. While this process could feel humiliating at times, I now understand the importance of accountability in a therapeutic environment. It’s not about abuse; rather, it’s about encouraging personal growth and forcing you to confront your actions and their consequences.
On a positive note, I genuinely appreciated the daily routine at New Haven. The small school program offered focused, one-on-one attention that I desperately needed. Additionally, bringing my cat, Neko, home with me was a truly special part of my experience.
I’ve noticed that many individuals who express dissatisfaction with New Haven often struggle with gender dysphoria. In my opinion, New Haven may not be the best fit for children seeking gender identity therapy. Instead, I believe it effectively serves those dealing with issues such as substance abuse, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, hyper-promiscuity, family-related challenges, and occasionally eating disorders.
Through reflection, I've come to realize that the consequences I faced at New Haven were a direct result of my actions rather than any form of abuse as stated in other reviews. While I sometimes felt that the consequences were overwhelming as a teenager, this experience ultimately led to my growth. Acknowledging my role in my circumstances was difficult but liberating. Although I hold some resentment for missing key moments in my teenage years, like prom and high school events, I am incredibly grateful to be sober and alive today. I cherish the memories I do have, especially considering the path I was on before coming to New Haven.
I sometimes find myself missing the supportive environment at New Haven and would love the opportunity to return for a tour. Overall, my experience was complex, but it undeniably contributed to my growth and well-being. The road after has been challenging, but I learned invaluable tools to navigate issues like drug abuse, abusive relationships, and self-hatred. Now at 27, I do not regret my time at New Haven; in fact, I sometimes wish I had appreciated it more. This establishment is not abusive; it’s a place that encourages you to face your reality and grow from it. As hard as it is, it’s not abusive.
