Horrible experience with lack of professional ism and compassion. Family member was diagnosed with extremely rare disorder and their " nurse practitioner" was given explicit instructions from u of u on his medication that was meant to be immediately started and was completely ignored by Pioneer. After 3 days of calling and being told that they were having to" deal" with me, advocativing for my son who was in horrendous pain and lost seven pounds, I saw them for what they were. They do not care for their patients, the Dr from u of u said he had an illness, that felt like his cheek resting on an electric fence for 10 minutes at a time. Most excruciating pain known to mankind and they could not make a simple phone call and change his mental health med immediately like they were told. Heartbreaking. He lost 7 pounds and has suffered immesureably at pioneers hands. Horrid administration and nurse practitioner that would allow a child needless suffering like this. For you or especially your children's sake do not get involved with this completely unprofessional place.

This place is by far and I mean by far the place you send your child when as a parent you have become so self absorbed with yourself, your money or your own life when your child doesn't conform to your lifestyle and has become a liabilty to you, also when you can manipulate the court system to show your hatred of the person you decided to have the child with and decide to send them to this out in the middle of nowhere godforsaken facility. When you send your son to this facilty you can guarantee that he will be surrounded by adults that have no caring or show the least of compassion to your son and if by chance the child has some type of a learning issue you have not found the right individuals to help your child, however large or small that is. This place isnt cheap either, so what the need for such large sums of money that is payed for being that there is no place to spend it, is confusing So lest be known to all that when you send your child here he will be bullied and surrounded by predators (other students), and you have failed as a parent.....and more than likely your child will see as they grow older the same uncaring coldness that you had when you sent your child here...

I have been being treated for grief and separation anxiety of my wife of 37 years. I have been seeing Gabby. She has been so awesome. Easy to talk to, empathetic, and uplifting. Her counciling methods include coping methods that are effective and are practical and work. Her positive attitude is infectious and really helps.

AVOID. This place agreed with me that my son had a problem during intake. They took my insurance money for intensive outpatient treatment and told my young adult son still in high school that his substance use was normal, but that he should keep coming for good life advice. He was high the day they graduated him, and they knew it. They told me in front of him, while he was high, that he was a good kid and normal and let everyone in the rest of the outpatient group at graduation think he had gotten sober so it would make Reflections look good. My son is still using, got suspended from high school for using at school, and was failing all his classes because he kept skipping to hang out with his druggie friends. Reflections staff are liars and thieves. AVOID!!! Unethical and unprofessional. Now my son has refused to get an evaluation for mental health based on this place telling him his substance use is "normal."
Update: My son got worse in his marijuana addiction after moving out after high school. He finally agreed to inpatient rehab at a different facility. He completed the program and did their outpatient program after while in their sober living. He said it was much better than Reflections. The staff seemed to really care.

I don’t know what all these other people are talking about. I was there twice, once in April-July of 2021 and again in June-September in 2022. I also went to 3 other places. Maybe I didn’t have bad mental problems, and it was more just my parents not knowing what to do with me, but as far as teen therapy goes, second nature is absolutely amazing. Spending time outdoors can truly heal a person. I always felt like the food was nutritious, and there was plenty of it. I felt like the clothing was more than adequate for the conditions at hand. I always felt like the staff and therapists were top notch and outshined all the staff and therapists at the other places I was at. Yes, they do send like 90% of kids to “aftercare” or long term RTCs. Those suck, they are generally abusive, and will do damage to your mind. So, to any parents considering, please just send your kid here and then bring them home. But as far as second nature goes, i actually look back on my experiences there in a very positive light. I enjoyed being outside, I enjoyed hiking. I enjoyed the food, and honestly if I was still a minor I would probably go back just for fun. Because myself and a lot of the other kids I was with really enjoyed it. Maybe not all of it, but as a whole, I feel as though it was a very positive experience and helped me a lot. I found that I love camping and hiking, and I spend a weekend or two a month camping to this day. It has helped me deal with the stress of being an adult. I can’t speak for the people leaving negative reviews, and I don’t want to invalidate anyone, but that was the complete opposite of my experience. It’s definitely not a “concentration camp” or whatever.

A very good friend of mine went to Cedar Ridge about 10 years ago...and he is scared for life, the things he describes, and the money he pays for therapy is just mind boggling. The things they do there are just short of illegal, the whole "going to compost" and "karate" stories just blow my mind. Please think twice about sending your kids here, i fear that this "experience" will be the death of him. You have been warned.

Every member of the team — from the counselors to the support staff — treated me with respect and understanding. They took the time to listen, to guide me through difficult moments, and to help me find practical tools to manage my challenges. The treatment programs were well-structured and personalized, addressing not just the symptoms but the underlying issues as well.
The facility itself was comfortable and welcoming, and the sense of community among residents made a tremendous difference in my recovery. I left feeling stronger, more self-aware, and better equipped to continue my progress.

The Chateau has been instrumental in my growth and continued recovery. I truly owe my life to Chateau! I have been to Chateau twice after severely struggling and ended up spending almost three months total there. I was very anxious not being a first responder or veteran and much younger than many of those there. The second I walked through the front door, I felt safe. Clients and staff didn’t not care that I was neither of those things.
Through the help of Chateau, I found the motivation and will to stay alive and sober. I started to discover my authentic self and be happy with who I was. Chateau helped me in so many ways and will never be able to express the amount of gratitude I have for the facility, staff and clients.
They are accommodating to all needs and are truly there to help you become better.

I came to Deer Hollow carrying years of unresolved trauma and symptoms that had taken over my life. When you are serious about recovery come to Deer Hollow. It will not be easy, but it will be worth it. I am a Paramedic that came up in the time of “stuff those emotions down”, I’m here to tell you that does not work. They come back with a vengeance and hopefully you don’t take your own life before you get help. Give Deer Hollow a chance, The staff is top notch and they have been through similar stuff and achieved Victory. So far I have been attending Pomarri Treatment center for about a month at the Orem location. From silver creek to the Pomarri treatment this place is my “saving grace” . Every single person from what I can see really cares about each and every single client that walks through that door. I have been to a handful of treatments throughout my addiction and by far this one is the best. I literally look forward to coming to group!!! In a month I have learned so many crucial and valuable skills already, from coping skills, DBT skills and really life skills . I’m excited to see what the rest of my journey will be here but one thing is for sure if you are looking for a treatment that’s different from the traditional treatments that takes medicaid then give Pomarri a shot !!

I attended Deer Hollow and it saved my life. The staff was very knowledgeable about addiction and knew what we were going through and how to help. The facilities were clean and in good order, making me feel comfortable and glad to be there. They served us three meals a day and snacks were always available as well. If anyone is thinking about going to rehab I highly recommend this program.

This program by far is the best Rehab facility in the country. My life was changed after being there for 56 days. The professional staff, attention to detail, intense therapy, and process groups all helped in my transformation on my road in recovery. The Pathways inpatient facility gave me more than physical safety and care—it gave me something I had never truly known before: true emotional safety. The entire staff worked together to help me grow in the three areas of life that must be engaged—mind, body, and spirit. I walked in carrying a heavy prejudice against all men, but it was three men in particular who ended up aiding me the most, showing me that at our core, we really are all just human.
My main therapist, Daryl, guided me through reshaping my mindset and digging into my past to uncover my deepest wounds. He stood by me on one of the most emotionally painful days of my life, and I will never forget Destiny—one of the incredible nurses—literally running after him as he was about to head home, just so he could be there for me in that moment.
Dr. Sellers provided me with the best medical care I could have asked for. He never rushed through visits, always taking the time to explain not just what he was doing, but why—making sure I understood and felt safe with my treatment. I also want to thank Dawn, a powerhouse nurse who believed in my strength even when I couldn’t see it myself, and who pushed me to rise to the challenge.
Michael Ryan gave me the gift of faith and clarity in my higher power. He challenged me in ways I desperately needed, helping me confront the destructive core beliefs that caused me so much suffering and turn them upside down. He gave me the tools to question my own thoughts, and to approach them with both curiosity and compassion. Somehow, even in the middle of facing the hardest truths, he still managed to make me laugh and feel safe. Steps was the first place I've ever gone to treatment and it was well worth it, so far it's saved my relationship with my wife, my family and myself. The staff is extremely kind and caring and just wants to help however in order for them to do so you have to be 110% open and willing to put in the work yourself.
If your looking into treatment this may help you so you know what your going into and what you can bring.
Blankets and pillows from home.
You can vape and smoke (don't flush vapes down the toilet or you'll lose your privileges for everyone it almost happened).
You can have food and candy (no energy drinks).
Family nights every other week on Tuesdays.
Black out period is 5 days (no phone calls).
Very scheduled, you'll be going from 8am to 8pm every day but it passes time quickly.
Just a few things that made my time easier, so if your looking into becoming a better you, this is the place to start.

Just rocked out of Diamond Recovery Centers. Kylee is the greatest Alumni program director. If your fighting your addiction and If your looking for a place for treatment this is the place to be. Detox first, then get ready for one of the most homelike healing experiences. I came here after detox with a willing spirit and an open mind. That is the requirement, in my opinion to complete successfully. Three gourmet meals a day adds to the most relaxing rehab I have ever been too. The staff actually give a damn here and make it their mission to make sure you get to where you need to be afterwards. I am most grateful to get a chance to be a better me. They have a great inpatient/residential program, however, I am not at all pleased with they're IOP, PHP, or Sober Living program. After getting a good paying job that ended up conflicting with me being able to attend two meetings out of the week, I was given 24hrs to pack my things and gtfo. This has left me feeling unsupported in my overall recovery by Steps, and the impression they're leaving me with is a completely apathetic one.

I was here for about 3 months, then was in sober living briefly, before going back out. Even though I relapsed, I have never seen a more personable and available and real group of people willing to help you. I put you guys through some SHIT. Especially you Tina. Lol. The therapists are good, but only human. Theyll crack you open good. The real question I suppose is was I better off having come here? Absolutely. But in the end I had to assess whether I was really doing what I wanted. I regret leaving. But I also needed to figure some things out for myself. I miss the community. And dont think they are in it for the money. They arent. They were willijg to pay for all my housing, keep me extra time, and let me stay even when there was no way I should have been able to. Thank you Mark, Todd, Kirk, Dee, CHRISTIAN, and Tina, and all of the therapists. Im currently in detox and really trying to get my life in order. Wasatch is worth every cent because of Todd he told me that I was recovered the day I stopped using drugs. He is one of the greatest minds the Recovery community has. I am writing this from a hyperbaric and still sober. I didn't stay the whole time but I got what I needed. As a veteran in the opiate epidemic and a 20+ time rehab connoisseur. I can say Todd one talk with him brought more healing and more recovery than hundreds of meetings, doing the 12 steps and thousand hours of treatment groups. Find your people. Be of service. Give back. Heal your body. Up north there's a hyperbaric and wellness in ogden ran by a beautiful women named Mel who is also phenomenal human. If you go there try the tesla coil. Not my first rodeo. I have been through a few rehabilitation programs with several local treatment centers in Salt Lake City. Recovery Ways at Brunswick was equipped with staff that has experience and multiple tools to assist in the recovery process. The step down progression and support is second to none. I have memories and friends from my short time that I will carry for a lifetime. I am sober today in part because of the staff and resources I was gifted on my day of surrender. Highly recommended and even though the commitment seems daunting, the experience will enhance your life skills and provide ample suggestions to assist in a fight for life outside addiction.

I came to Deer Hollow carrying years of unresolved trauma and symptoms that had taken over my life. I had tried therapy before, but nothing reached the root of what I was dealing with until I walked through their doors. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel safe, grounded, and understood in a way I hadn’t experienced anywhere else.
Residential treatment was intense, structured, and emotionally heavy at times — but it was also exactly what I needed. When you are serious about recovery come to Deer Hollow. It will not be easy, but it will be worth it. I am a Paramedic that came up in the time of “stuff those emotions down”, I’m here to tell you that does not work. They come back with a vengeance and hopefully you don’t take your own life before you get help.
