The staff and therapists at Cedar Ridge literally changed our lives. Our daughter learned so much about herself during her stay and about making smart choices for her life. She came back to us as a better version of the young lady we know and love, but that we could not help on our own due to the traumas of her past. This place is by far and I mean by far the place you send your child when as a parent you have become so self absorbed with yourself, your money or your own life when your child doesn't conform to your lifestyle and has become a liabilty to you, also when you can manipulate the court system to show your hatred of the person you decided to have the child with and decide to send them to this out in the middle of nowhere godforsaken facility. When you send your son to this facilty you can guarantee that he will be surrounded by adults that have no caring or show the least of compassion to your son and if by chance the child has some type of a learning issue you have not found the right individuals to help your child, however large or small that is. This place isnt cheap either, so what the need for such large sums of money that is payed for being that there is no place to spend it, is confusing So lest be known to all that when you send your child here he will be bullied and surrounded by predators (other students), and you have failed as a parent.....and more than likely your child will see as they grow older the same uncaring coldness that you had when you sent your child here...

I went here over a decade ago - it taught me emotional literacy, gave me a love of nature, reset my relationship with my parents, and set me back on the right path for college.
Many people think negatively of these programs (like the other review). It’s hard for someone under 18 to get sent away from home, there’s no way around that.
But I never had any negative experience with second nature, actually I have a lot of fond memories. Thanksgiving and Christmas special meals. Amazing campsites. Training to make a fire with sticks/busting an ember. Mentoring newer group members. Seeing the Milky Way at night. No one ever abused me physically or emotionally. The field staff was kind and respectful.
The other reviewer calling this place a “concentration camp” is being majorly disrespectful to the people who went to actual concentration camps. My experience was not even remotely close to that.

This is the right place for people who are going through a crisis, the staff of this center did everything possible to help me from the first day I visited them. They helped me to have confidence in myself again and they gave me hope to have a better future, I am eternally grateful.

I was in Acqua October 2024 and the staff was amazing. They listened to what the clients had to say. The one thing Acqua offered that not a lot of the other places did is dual diagnosis. Not only do they treat addiction but the helped me get on meds that worked for me. I loved that I didnt get the 12 steps shoved down my throat. I liked my counselors and the staff helped me get everything lined out to go home in another state. I'm been sober for 9 months now.

Pinnacle Recover is amazing. All of the staff go over the top to meet your expectations. The program gives you everything you need to achieve your goals and gives you all the tools you need to help you in recovery. The food is outstanding, Chef Ed is so compassionate about his cooking. I've never had a well balanced diet as good as it was at Pinnacle. The activities you get to enjoy are so much fun. Sober softball, hiking, bowling, batting cages, ice baths, open mic night are some of my favorites. The facility is more than adequate, its an amazing house that is filled with comfort. Overall, Pinnacle has changed my life in so many positive ways. I feel as if my life is starting over and I get the opportunity to be happy again. Shout out to Katie my therapist for all the help and knowledge she has given me. I'm ready to go out into the world and face all the challenges it brings head on.

I truly owe my life to Chateau! I have been to Chateau twice after severely struggling and ended up spending almost three months total there. I was very anxious not being a first responder or veteran and much younger than many of those there. The second I walked through the front door, I felt safe. Clients and staff didn’t not care that I was neither of those things.
Through the help of Chateau, I found the motivation and will to stay alive and sober. I started to discover my authentic self and be happy with who I was. Chateau helped me in so many ways and will never be able to express the amount of gratitude I have for the facility, staff and clients.
They are accommodating to all needs and are truly there to help you become better.
I highly recommend this amazing place to anyone who is struggling!

As someone who has experienced the weight of trauma firsthand, I can say without hesitation that this center is not just a treatment facility — it’s a lifeline. The staff here understand the unique burdens first responders carry, and they show up every single day with heart, integrity, and a deep commitment to healing.
They don’t treat you like a number or a case file. They treat you like a human! The clinicians are trauma-informed and deeply compassionate. The programming is structured, evidence-based, and tailored specifically to the reality of frontline work. And the brotherhood/sisterhood you find here? Unbreakable.

Ardu literally saved my life. Ardu is just not a business with employees. It is a home with family. They truly care about your wellbeing and will do everything in their power to help you. Our daughter was at the New Haven stabilization for about a month. She improved so much that she was released about 4 weeks early and she is now enrolled in an RTC in Montana. This program by far is the best Rehab facility in the country. My life was changed after being there for 56 days. The professional staff, attention to detail, intense therapy, and process groups all helped in my transformation on my road in recovery. My LO never had the opportunity to receive treatment here, but I can't say enough good things about Natalia who works at intake. My son was arrested due to his mental illness. In a frustrating system, Natalia was a shining light who worked hard to help my son get treatment instead of prison. She wrote multiple letters to the judge, New Roads came out and did assessments and validated my questions and concerns. If the actual facility listens and cares like she did, I am sure the place would be amazing. It came highly recommended to me from various parents whose loved one's were able to recover, thanks to New Roads. I truly wish my son could have received the help that he needs from a place like this. Checking was easy. Room assignment Was good and they were ready for me. My back surgery went great and I woke up with no pain . Two days later, I could hardly walk, because I had to lay in bed for the first two days. Remember, I had back surgery. When released from the hospital, the staff did everything to get me ready to leave. I was shown how to get in and out of a car, which helped because I had to travel 5 hours to St George for rehab. It was such a pleasant experience. I really enjoyed all of the therapy, education, recreation therapy and meetings that we went through. I thought that staff was exceptional and helpful. Everyone was so eager to pursue the success of this journey that I experienced at Annie's House. I am so grateful! I learned how to love myself in such a way that I haven't since maybe I was a young child. I feel so liberated and free! I have a connection with my higher power and that is all because of you guys!! Steps was the first place I've ever gone to treatment and it was well worth it, so far it's saved my relationship with my wife, my family and myself. The staff is extremely kind and caring and just wants to help however in order for them to do so you have to be 110% open and willing to put in the work yourself.
If your looking into treatment this may help you so you know what your going into and what you can bring.
Blankets and pillows from home.
You can vape and smoke (don't flush vapes down the toilet or you'll lose your privileges for everyone it almost happened).
You can have food and candy (no energy drinks).
Family nights every other week on Tuesdays.
Black out period is 5 days (no phone calls).
Very scheduled, you'll be going from 8am to 8pm every day but it passes time quickly.
Just a few things that made my time easier, so if your looking into becoming a better you, this is the place to start.

Wasatch is worth every cent because of Todd he told me that I was recovered the day I stopped using drugs. He is one of the greatest minds the Recovery community has. I am writing this from a hyperbaric and still sober. I didn't stay the whole time but I got what I needed. As a veteran in the opiate epidemic and a 20+ time rehab connoisseur. I can say Todd one talk with him brought more healing and more recovery than hundreds of meetings, doing the 12 steps and thousand hours of treatment groups. Find your people. Be of service. Give back. Heal your body. Up north there's a hyperbaric and wellness in ogden ran by a beautiful women named Mel who is also phenomenal human. If you go there try the tesla coil. It is a phenomenal for balacing your energy. I truly believe addicts are healers and if we can conquer our addiction we can light . Anyways thanks for coming to my ted talk

Wasatch was my first treatment center. Some of the staff that are not as versed in mental health have a very dangerous and possibly harmful way of “treating” clients. That being said most of the staff really cares and went above and beyond for me. Dekard and Dee stand out the most their positive and encouraging attitudes inspired me and pushed me to keep going. I can credit them for how far I’ve come (90 days). Like any place Wasatch has its short comings but all in all if you’re struggling with addiction it’s a great option 🖤

When you are serious about recovery come to Deer Hollow. It will not be easy, but it will be worth it. I am a Paramedic that came up in the time of “stuff those emotions down”, I’m here to tell you that does not work. They come back with a vengeance and hopefully you don’t take your own life before you get help. Give Deer Hollow a chance, The staff is top notch and they have been through similar stuff and achieved Victory.
