I stopped in here to drop off items at the Kindness Center of Jefferson County. They've assisted me in the past & provided much needed information. They have a store here with clothing, hygienes, & other items that families might need. Especially when prices are high, & income doesn't always match outgoing. If you're able to help you can make financial donations, products for the store, donate your time, & if you're handy donate your skills to help seniors in need. I'm sure that I'm not telling you everything so you will need to check it out. This is a great opportunity to pay it forward or help others that aren't as fortunate as you are. I would recommend this place for sure especially their PHP program, it was my very first time coming here and to be honest i was very nervous and scared but it was actually a lot more welcoming than i thought and i think theres alot of good people here, and alot of people that help, especially the therapists, ive done 3 full months as a teen and i would say it was definitely a life changing experience and i made so many connections and friends, and i just took so much from this place, and i learned so much about myself as well, 100% recommend PHP and their IOP program.

I enjoyed the virtual IOP treatment more than I thought I would. It worked well with my work schedule and I got to be comfortable at home as well as being comfortable in the group. I was able to connect and exchange information with my peers and expand my recover/Sobriety network!

I went through Prospect House as a client in 2012, and it was the first place where I was able to begin connecting the dots about what was going on inside of me. That experience became foundational — not just for my recovery, but for the direction my life ultimately took. I later built a career in behavioral health, and I often say I learned more during my time at Prospect House than in all my years of schooling. That’s not meant to diminish my education — it was valuable in its own right — but the insight and growth I gained there were unmatched. I wasn’t ready when I arrived, but they helped me become ready. I’m deeply grateful for the role they played in my journey.

I've been a prospector for a long time, it's something special that works in this house, I don't know if it's the residence the staff the structure of the program, it's full of care and love it's spiritual and it forces you to change. Today I'm proud to be a prospector and a member of alcoholics anonymous. Thanks to God and the prospect house for 11 months clean and sober and headed towards sobriety. Best Recovery Center ive been involved in. The facility is very clean 👌 huge cabins with plenty of space to enjoy your stay. The staff is amazing...being they've all actually been there in one way or another. The program is honest, direct and full of love ❤️. Beautiful rolling hills full of wooded trails and access to a nice pond for fishing. Hands down best recovery around. I would go again just to put insurance on my sobriety.

My husband had surgery at the Louisville VA Medical Center, and the care he received before, during, and after surgery was incredible. Dr. Klein, Roberto, and the entire team were supportive, patient, and made sure he was comfortable every step of the way while also keeping me informed. The follow‑up after surgery was excellent as well — any time we called with questions, they were kind and quick to help. The VA physical therapy staff were energetic, encouraging, and made recovery something my husband actually looked forward to. Thanks to their guidance, we are back to enjoying time together for outdoor activities. We’re both incredibly grateful for the care he received and words really are not enough to share our gratitude for every interaction before, during, and after his procedure. Thanks to everyone we encountered!

This place is great. Doctors and all staff. I have been to ER twice and had a 5 day stay. I have had appointments in various apartments. I have been treated by great caring Doctors and Nurses. I have also had community services to get treatment faster then VA could provide,they sent me to a Saint surgeon known as Dr Yakkanti U OF L. The pharmacy has been most helpful. Community Services has been very responsive. When you walk down the hallway at Rex VA. Your brothers and sisters always are kind. Everyone acts like they know and want to help you. I am sorry some are upset about a problem. You deserve your say and fight. I hope you get it resolved. I deserve mine to. THANK YOU REX VA FOR KEEPING ME IN THE FIGHT OF LIFE. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

I can’t say enough about CAT! The simple facts are that this place and all of the kind souls who make it operate have helped me through the darkest times of my life. With a host of resources I was not only able to work on my recovery, court services worked by my side every step of the way to resolve my legal obligations as well. Talbert House has truly helped me. The staff there are amazing, and always try their best to help us. There are staff who will spend their money and make us breakfast some mornings. Christmas, although sad, was truly fun. One of the clinical staff came in and played some games with us. Although the program can be hard, I believe it can truly help you. The program can be stressful at times, but the staff are there to try and help you. My favorite staff, Ms. Beth, always had the newest shoes on. She, along with all the staff, truly helped me. I am forever thankful for them.

Talbert House on Gelnway Ave has been taking care of me since 2012. I was in a really bad way and they go above and beyond for my care. It's easy getting in with a therapist and their psychiatrist Dr. Pelnick is the best doctor I've ever had. They listen to you here and find what can help you most. I have been blessed with every aspect of my experience at Spero. The staff are amazing. They're compassionate, non-judgmental, and supportive. Courtney, Chelsey, and Valerie are especially great. I don't know what they get paid but they deserve a raise. The doctors and counselors also go above and beyond. You hear lots of horror stories about vets being treated poorly by rude, entitled VA Staff! Let me assure you, not at this location! I have VA clinics closer to my home than this one, but I will continue to keep going back. Everyone I have ever dealt with at this clinic has been extremely helpful and seems to truly care about their vets! Yes, 'their vets'.
