I have been to this treatment centers at least 3 times and the e town facility twice. I ve been to treatment as a controlled environment for this program over 40 times. But for 7 months through an implant in my ear I have had to listen to 2 or 3 people in my ear for 24/7 mostly about my ex boyfriend who the program hired to mess with me as well. Every treatment center and sober living I have been in for 7 years has participated all my so called friends, family, even bf were brought into it. I m harassed about every trauma or horrible experience they could create or find out about. This was a good place but I hit 4 treatment centers in 4 weeks because they went too far stressing me with the voices in my ear canal as well as the clients and staff they recruited to play games while my thoughts broadcasted to the people around me. For the government to issue whatever for hips to be violated and them to enter a rehab for research grounds or court order is all that could do it. It s been 17 years of nastiness especially the last 7 years but they hired my bf to leave me and play games with me so the voices in my ear could non stop torture me with him and how he took a job to leave me. The truth is they have had me isolated and single for 17 years and they had to get me lit and him away from me to be able to do this stressed out miserable research on me. So they brought him into the group payed to monitor me to get him away and make me feel miserable and isolated and they make sure I know it was about money from my boyfriend or ex I guess since I get a vague wish washy text ever 2 to 3 days to string me along so they can keep torturing me about him.how much money did it take. Why after I find someone after 17 years did you destroy it? Thanks for your part Stepworks London this was the second fight in 4 centers I had been to in 4 weeks. Crown was playing and Lackey and SouthShore RW in the past 6 weeks this program was even brought into the AA meetings I attended and my Clinicians were up to it too

| Shepherds Shelter & Ross Rehab is a faith based, privately owned addiction treatment facility in Mount Sterling, Kentucky. Set on sprawling farmland at the roots of the Appalachian Mountains the facility is surrounded by the tranquility of nature. You’ll find a peaceful, safe haven for your recovery as you live onsite for your treatment. Shepherd | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Hello my name is Michael and I am family. I remember the first time I said this because it is the way we introduce ourselves at shepherds shelter. To be honest I didn't want to say it and didn't believe it. After 26 years of drug abuse I was anything but family by the world's standard I was Labeled as a drug addict junkie, thief, convict, liar, user and a list of names I'd rather not mention. But as I soon learned from pastor " it's not what people call you that matters it's what you answer to" I'm proud to say that today I am 2 1/2yrs sober a man of God because of the love and mercy that was shown to me through all shepherds shelter staff and especially Pastor and momma. Before coming to Shepherds Shelter I spent almost the last 10yrs of my life sleeping on the street. I seen nights I have literally almost froze to death. Spent 10 years in prisons and jails and seen no kind of hope for anything good I soon found myself back in jail , so I begged for rehab. Honestly my intention was just to get out of jail but that all changed in a Saturday night church service as I hit my knees to pray. I didn't pray some fancy prayer or make any deals I simply submitted I told God I don't know what I'm doing I obviously don't know how to live life please show me. Boy was I in for a game changer. The more I leaned into what was being taught there the more I started to see and feel change in my life. I truly became family and was treated as such. The values and morals that have been instilled in me from shepherds shelter have forever changed not only my life but every life I come in contact with. I am no longer that list of terrible names. I am first and foremost a man of God but I am also a husband a father a son a brother a friend and most of all I AM FAMILY AT SHEPHERDS SHELTER. Today I am someone you ministers the gospel and tries to show the same love and mercy I was shown here. I have my own home a beautiful wife and an awesome relationship with my children. I am so incredibly grateful for my time at the Ridge! I want to clarify, though, that it wasn't the Ridge itself that helped me. It was solely 100% my group/recovery therapist, Amanda. There aren't any words I can type that could even begin to describe just how gifted and wonderful Amanda is as a therapist. As an adult in my 30s who has been battling many mental illnesses since childhood, I am no stranger to 1:1 therapy, group therapy, IOP, ect, and in all my years in & out of various treatments, I have NEVER met anyone like Amanda! Her approaches to therapy and recovery are so helpful for life outside of treatment. She provides lifelong skills and tools to help each and every patient to navigate and healthily cope with their symptoms in the "real world." Amanda is 100% empathetic and sincere to each and every one of her patients. She TAKES THE TIME to HEAR US, not just listen to us. And because she genuinely cares, she REMEMBERS what her patients tell here and she ALWAYS is willing to go above and beyond for any one of her patients. She has done so for me more than once and I have seen first hand her do the same for many others. I could attempt to write a novel-length review about my recovery in Amanda's group & it still won't do the actual experience any justice. Being a behavioral therapist was certainly Amanda's calling in life and I can never thank her enough for all she has done for me in the short 5 or 6 weeks I was in the program. And while I cannot speak for any of the drug rehab groups since I was only in a mental health group, I can at least assure you that every singe group is very welcoming, regardless. Any time I would pass by another classroom, I'd see groups working together in various ways, working on their treatment goals and everyone was always calm, respectful, and kind. Now I'm not saying that treatment and recovery at the Ridge is easy or one big, chill party to just pass time until graduation. It takes work. HARD work to recover and learn to implement all of the skills and tools provided at the Ridge. What you put in is truly what you get bac. With that being said, don't be afraid to vulnerable. Of course, way easier said than done, but I promise, you are safe at the Ridge. Especially safe if you are in Amanda's group. Staff will work with you to the absolute best of their abilities to provide you with the greatest care.My only major complaint that truly upsets and angers me is that The Ridge does not allow its group therapists to also provide 1:1 therapy for their patients (something that many other centers do allow). Meaning that, once a patient graduates group therapy, they must continue 1:1 therapy elsewhere, which sucks! I have yet to begin 1:1 therapy, because I don't believe I will find another therapist as wonderful as Amanda. The other issues you may encounter are it the financial department. They are a bit of a hot mess! During treatment, I was told everything was 100% covered, then told nothing at all was covered and I owed 100% of every bill, then as told I only owed the copays, and yet again told I owed 1000s so that part certainly needs improvement, but actual treatment is 5/5 stars, so don't fret any possible financial issues! They will eventually get sorted!THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING AMANDA! YOU HELPED SAVE MY LIFE!
