But this third time going to this rehab this time was the best especially with Derek's laughter lol all you have to do is make them laugh and treat them like human.And they'll be human back.There are a couple people there that do not know how to treat humans like humans and they want to belittle you and talk down to you.But this time , I will say there was no arguments with any of the staff or my case counselor. And today marks ninety days with no drinking and no alcohol. So if I can do it, you can do it too.It's not that bad of a place just do not pick any friends why are you there because of they leave?You are going to leave with them.Nine out of ten I will say , I seen it all when I was there and I was there 8 days. Now we're gonna talk about their css program: Staff are fine.Director rude doesn't care about anything.And in fact , of windows screw shut ( fire hazard) and if you have anything medically emergency gone wrong, they'll just look at you as you have a medical emergency and walk away.Thank god , my roommate didn't and actually help me out. And if you get a room that has windows open, you got lucky cause you can do drops and stuff like that, that's what we used to do when we were there, we would drop down stuff through the window to the people in detox. That didn't get anything that we did on the first floor (detox). That is about it , so if you think about getting yourself some help today , it is a good place to start and try it. But once you’re in, you’re very well taken care of. The staff are attentive and you get everything you need during your stay. You are closely monitored at all times. There are restrictions but that’s normal with such a program. The unhappy people posting here probably did not make it through recovery and are angry. It’s what you make of it. If you’re serious. I got the courage after leaving to find another facility and CHOOSE NOT TO GO BACK TO THE LIFESTYLE I ONCE HAD. Finding Mayflower made all the difference. I appreciated that they allowed a more balanced, normal routine outside of meetings—you could relax, watch TV, do crafts, play basketball, and still focus on recovery. They also offered a different approach to sobriety that felt more supportive and personalized. What really stood out was the medical staff—they were always there when I needed them and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. This was my first time getting sober, and I’ve stayed sober ever since because of this place.. great food as well. My therapist at Laurel Hill is by far the best therapist I have ever had — I learned so much from her and am still in awe of how she challenged me and ED narratives. The clinical director treats clients like family and invests her time and energy into each and every one of us — she spent her Christmas holiday with clients baking cookies, enjoying holiday kareoke, and other festivities that she planned for us… it was a special holiday, filled with so much love and support. The nursing staff are SO cool and kind. The RCs are absolutely the best.. I don’t know how they do such a specialized and demanding job and do it SO well, all while getting to become so close with the clients. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone struggling with an eating disorder. I had lost hope when I entered treatment, and now I look forward to the day when I can say I am fully recovered, because thanks to the LH team, I know that day will come. I've always been hesitant about seeking care with outpatient programs due to seeing friends who said the care made them feel worse. My psychiatric NP was worried because most facilities near me had waitlists of up to a month. I was drowning. Desperate, I reached out to one of their facilities who directed me to Meta, who took my insurance. When they say they can see if your insurance covers the care within an hour, they absolutely mean it. When beginning the intake process the staff was nothing but encouraging. By the end of the day, I already had the intake process started. Beginning the program was fast as I was able to start immediately. Their NP team was so helpful with helping me file for PFML. You can attend in person or join on Zoom. This was such a relief as Meta is an hour and a half away from me. Meta provides the most accessible mental health program I have seen. I also can't say enough about the care team. There's a blend of advice from people who want to see you grow. Groups are the best with Kayla's sharp insight and Liz's gentle guidance. Not only am I able to connect with my therapists, but others who are also seeking support. I'll be taking friendships with me when my time with Meta comes to a close. If you are on the fence about reaching out for professional support, come to Meta. It truly has been a wonderful experience. V 8 months ago I've struggled with my mental health for most of my life and always kept afloat one way or another, but Meta was the biggest turning point for me. I've felt so supported everyday while given an environment I felt safe in to heal. They've given me knowledge and coping skills that I will carry with me throughout my life. I would like to say something wonderful about three counselors and that's because I only know them and one of them is mine and the other one I do a group with and the third one I had have interactions with him when he was counselor of the week, the counselor Donna, Kim and Arthur a wonderful wonderful counselors they are fair and if you are doing everything you're supposed to and you're doing the right thing especially in working the program they will go to bat for their clients. Also the nurses are very nice as the front desk as well. I will end with this, this will work for you but only if you are going to use your footwork as well. I have suffered much and I am going to get into a detox that allows me to go into a program from the detox so that I can adjust to sober living with support and treatment.
