But this third time going to this rehab this time was the best especially with Derek's laughter lol all you have to do is make them laugh and treat them like human.And they'll be human back.There are a couple people there that do not know how to treat humans like humans and they want to belittle you and talk down to you.But this time , I will say there was no arguments with any of the staff or my case counselor. And today marks ninety days with no drinking and no alcohol. So if I can do it, you can do it too.It's not that bad of a place just do not pick any friends why are you there because of they leave?You are going to leave with them.Nine out of ten I will say , I seen it all when I was there and I was there 8 days. Now we're gonna talk about their css program: Staff are fine.Director rude doesn't care about anything.And in fact , of windows screw shut ( fire hazard) and if you have anything medically emergency gone wrong, they'll just look at you as you have a medical emergency and walk away.Thank god , my roommate didn't and actually help me out. And if you get a room that has windows open, you got lucky cause you can do drops and stuff like that, that's what we used to do when we were there, we would drop down stuff through the window to the people in detox. That didn't get anything that we did on the first floor (detox). That is about it , so if you think about getting yourself some help today , it is a good place to start and try it. But once you’re in, you’re very well taken care of. The staff are attentive and you get everything you need during your stay. You are closely monitored at all times. There are restrictions but that’s normal with such a program. The unhappy people posting here probably did not make it through recovery and are angry. It’s what you make of it. If you’re serious. I can't recommend NFA enough. Sober since 6/10/25, the program works if you actually WANT to get better. The staff are nice, the food is good, the living situation does require patience but overall it is good. You will be accepted into a community and your case manager will help you out with resources. If you’re in good health and don’t need special accommodations, then this place is what you make of it. The admission process and acceptance to their facility was really quick, so my advice is to prepare as much as possible. Bring your own SEALED OTC medicine and SEALED hygiene and cosmetic products. You’ll meet with a doctor on the 2nd or 3rd day and can ask him to put these medicines in your patient med chart so that the nurses can disperse them to you. Try not to get hurt. You won’t get to go to a hospital unless you’re suicidal or OD’ing. My toe fracture can attest. But with that being said, I’m still grateful for the time I spent here and for the counselors that were once in our shoes and are now recovered, they are great. I appreciated that they allowed a more balanced, normal routine outside of meetings—you could relax, watch TV, do crafts, play basketball, and still focus on recovery. Damien 1 month ago When I decided that 48 years was enough of living in a bottle and a spoon, I began to research what exactly I needed to do to get to a stage where I could put my life on hold, hire enough of the right people to handle my affairs while I was away. After accomplishing that, I boarded a plane to Boston 04-19-26 and arrived at Hillside detox and recovery program safely where I was treated like royalty. After 30 days, they convinced me to further my experience, knowledge, and skills for a successful life of soberiety by going to Woburn Wellness. Honestly, it is one of the best decisions I've ever made. At Woburn, I attended the daily groups. At first I didn't understand how the groups could possibly help me go home to a wife that drinks, and remain sober. But the longer I not only attended, but actively participate in the program, the stronger I felt about my soberiety. I was also blessed to stay at the Sober House in Stoneham. The accommodations at these 2 blessings were nothing like the 10 star treatment I got used to at Hillside. But they were perfect for this stage in my journey because they were realistic for life in the real world. [ ] Jasmine was my go to for everything. She treated me like royalty. I'm not going to try and play favoritism with the staff at Woburn Wellness because they all are my favorites. I love and miss each of them. From Ray the Driver, for always getting me to put on my positive attitude, every morning, to Violet who made sure my meds were filled, to Jaun, my Rockstar, Sean, the Big dog who was also full of wisdom (and a little bit of bs.🤣). My Southern Belle, Laura, who is my Clinician, (she is vital to my soberiety by keeping me thinking, and giving me ideas, even now that I'm home). Caroline who always is high on happy pills, and we have a bonded agreement that we shook on, and It's something that I take very serious, and very rarely offer it, is special in her own ways. Noah is a beast, but a gentle giant that best not get anymore bad haircuts. Zhenya is the sweetest lady until you merge into a subject she doesn't approve of. But even her reprimands are done gently yet stern. I could go on praising the staff but I would be remiss if I don't talk about the group. Obviously I can't mention names or discussions we had. But I consider each one of them extremely lucky to be part of Woburn, especially myself. The staff and group members will always hold a very special place in my heart. [ ] Should I relapse, it would be solely for the purpose of going back to Hillside, then Woburn and the sober house, to spend time with my extended family. There is another window where the nurse also worked in Chelsea-she’s also terrific. There are some things or people I don’t necessarily love but it’s okay. I really appreciate the new director for taking the time out to meet me and talk with me in private one on one and speak of my concerns and come up with solutions. I feel seen and heard and I appreciate that. But your not gonna play with me like that or in any fashion. So better things escalate. I just walk out. I'm afraid of my reaction plus the fact that it's a loose loose situation for either way it goes. This i understand. So I always play it smart. I promised myself I won't ever get arrested ever again. The clinical director treats clients like family and invests her time and energy into each and every one of us — she spent her Christmas holiday with clients baking cookies, enjoying holiday kareoke, and other festivities that she planned for us… it was a special holiday, filled with so much love and support. The nursing staff are SO cool and kind. The RCs are absolutely the best.. I don’t know how they do such a specialized and demanding job and do it SO well, all while getting to become so close with the clients. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone struggling with an eating disorder. Every councilor here is great, and after a few months out of the program I still visit and keep in touch with them. Unfortunately this wasn't my first go around in a recovery center but it hands down is the best, and definitely the only one whos treatment seems to have finally stuck with me. It's a 12-step based program but they dont force anything. however, through the councilor's own experiences and seeing your rehab mates who DO do the steps you'll be shown just how much it works. Staff was super flexible with my schedule, knowledgeable, and unlike many treatment centers, actually fun to be around. Hopefully you dont need rehab but if you do, come here. Also the nurses are very nice as the front desk as well. I will end with this, this will work for you but only if you are going to use your footwork as well.
