Been going since I was a teen and they’ve always been professional and accommodating. I’ve seen a few different therapists and have learned everyone has different teaching methods that may not suit you individually. Don't let courtesy stop you from asking to change to a different provider. However it's a bit unfortunate they removed services from over the phone for those that live far but don't have the means to video call.

I was admitted to this mental hospital a while back. I was dreading coming at first because of all the negative reviews and coupled with the misconceptions of psych wards. To be fair, it wasn't as bad as I thought. During my stay, I really enjoyed it a lot, the nurses were so kind and we were fed 3 times a day with snacks in between, we were monitored well and I got some great memories from here, really wish I could've stayed here if I'm being honest but, overall I loved the staff and the care put towards getting me back out and well!

My experience at this place has been absolutely horrible. I had been ignored by several nurses while I was having a panic attack, and even had been rudely told to be quiet or I would “disturb the other patients”. Do not ever consider admitting yourself or a loved one here. It is a complete joke.

Thank you to the gentleman and his team im a new patient and I was not seen yey but I was having a hard time and needed to speak to someone, he said they do not do walkins like that but he provided me quick sources to go and call. This place I have so many memories of as a young native american growing up in the Santa Fe Area I use to attend an A.A meeting here with a group of Native American brothers and many of whom I can say sadly have gone into the next world into them Happy Hunting grounds but this place has left an impact on me and my life I will nevrr forget the people I've met here over the course of the years I've been there allways relapsing but the people allways been so supportive it's been allmost 8yrs now since I haven't been there but I'm glad to say where I live now I attend a quiet meeting with two or three people at a time and I'm glad to say I just celebrated 2yrs last month and I know it's not a big to the ones who gotten years under there belts but like they say in the meetings it's one day at a time your truly AdrianB😎✌️💨

Incredible place for support in recovery. the breath finders 11 step meeting in the morning has been A. Godsend for us to practice yoga and movement and alternative supporting methods to the twelve steps being in the space where this is pertinent.

Started seeing Jennifer ramon in 2020. She's amazing and treats her patients like she cares.
These days I'm currently seeing Sara Martin and I just cant say enough good things about her. She truly cares about her patients and it shows.
I've NEVER EVER had any issues nor do I have any complaints about the Dr's. The front desk is another story. I feel this position should be given to someone with patients .understanding and just kind...that should be a requirement for the job...and we the people should not even have to be saying this. You would think it would just be a given.. being they're dealing with sick and elderly people .also certain Dr's are there only on Tuesdays and Thursdays... take that into consideration..

I waa very skeptical when my sister was sent here. She has been hospitalized in four different places over three years but the doc and staff here were awesome. The doctor was the smartest our family has met in ten years in three different states. He took his time and found out what was really going on. She has been stable for the first time in her life. She was here more than two months ago but I felt I should leave a review to let people know they have really good docs and staff now. It's not a physically great place but frankly it doesn't matter if the providers are this good. I dont know how they got such good people to come way out here, but Southern NM is very very fortunate. We live in a city and havent seen this kind of quality. Thank you for all you did for my sister.

They staff and doc here did more for my brother than any other doctoral in 20 years of suffering. The doctor has called us twice to check on him since he was discharged last month. He is on the rights meds and doing better than he ever has. Really grateful.

I was here so many times two years ago, I was not doing well at all and I ended up staying for a month long at one point to be transferred somewhere else, but each time I was there, the staff was awesome.

Mellissa is the first home visitor we had for my boy, she reported me to cps when I was pregnant with my second. she had absolutely no reason to at all there was no redness on him there were no bruises he’s was just having a bad day and I was trying to calm him down by putting him on my lap and giving him love, he is very loved and very well treated. I highly highly suggest when considering this place to ask for Dwan/ Eva or Megan (behavioral counselor) they were/are soooo good to us and they see how much we love our children. How we care, feed, and love our children, they guided me to sooo many resources, very respectful of your time and your schedule without making you feel bad about it! I hope they get a raise, they bust their busts to do everything for their clients and those three truley deserve it idk what I’d do without them, but I’ll never ever Have Mellissa near my children ever again and we avoid certain things due to her being there otherwise love the program ❤️

I called to make an appointment for my husband and the receptionist, “Danielle” was extremely helpful, caring and patient in figuring out how to get him seen the soonest. I wanted to wait a year before i left a review about my experience at Vista, and here we are. I am 1 year and 1 month sober !! When i first came to the facility i was in terrible shape, physically and mentally. I fought the treatment for weeks before i saw that i was actually getting better. I found my higher power in this place and my life has changed in dramatic ways. I have no urge whatsoever to return to my previous way of life and i must give the credit to Vista. I completed the 30-day program at Vista Taos and had an amazing experience and met a lot of great people during my stay. I have been in other treatment centers and Vista Taos is by far the best! JD was my therapist and had great knowledge and experience when it came to relapse prevention, identifying triggers and learning about the disease of addiction as well as tapping into trauma and trauma response actions. If you're looking for a rehab that works, this is the place to go. The environment is serene and peaceful. Weekly outings, 5-star meals, off-site meetings, individual therapy, queen sized comfy beds, full bathrooms with tubs or standing showers all accommodated for a comfortable stay for me while I was being rehabilitated for Methamphetamines and Alcohol. The staff was kind and respectful towards my needs and gave great inspiration and encouragement during my stay. Vista Taos is by far the best rehab in New Mexico. If you're searching for yourself or a loved one, this is the place to go. Don't hesitate, make the call now!

The facilities and environment and programs at Vista Taos are exceptional. I researched many rehab facilities in the U.S. in several states (NM, Ariz., Utah, Colorado, Texas, Louisiana, Florida) and after careful consideration of all features, size, programs, quality of care, offerings, environment -- Vista came out on top, as my #1 pick best of all rehab programs.Also, the intake counselor Jeremy was extraordinary, he took so much time and care to discuss programs and specifics, and advise me about pros and cons of rehab in general, what to look for, how to evaluate programs, and how to select the best options for my family member. He even helped me network with other rehabs to get their info and compare. He is an amazing resource and the most caring, giving intake person I encountered in all rehabs I searched. I went to dove tree, in Lubbock, Tx broken and very lost. Mentally, emotionally, and physically lost. They helped me get back on my feet again and have helped me gain more confidence in myself. There’s a lot of the staff that I’m very grateful for, but Josh Toney and Lex helped me out so much. Went above & beyond. This is a great place to be if you're serious about your recovery. Utilize the options you have while you're here; counselors, psychiatry visits, cooking classes, house cleaning, fellowship and most importantly learning about the correlation between our minds and addiction and how we can improve our thinking patterns and develop a relationship with God in order to mitigate potential relapses due to emotional distress. You learn to deal with problems head-on instead of running away from them and turning to using substances as a coping mechanism, allowing you to overcome and not use your dire circumstances as excuses to drink/get high.
I had a great time here and I'm glad I got to meet everyone on my journey here.

I owe everything to this program. It was the structure and stability I needed after leaving my rehab facility. My adult addict daughter has struggled for 23 years in and out of her addiction with the added layer of mental health issues. These days I'm currently seeing Sara Martin and I just cant say enough good things about her. She truly cares about her patients and it shows.
I've NEVER EVER had any issues nor do I have any complaints about the Dr's. The front desk is another story. I feel this position should be given to someone with patients .understanding and just kind...that should be a requirement for the job...and we the people should not even have to be saying this. You would think it would just be a given.. being they're dealing with sick and elderly people .also certain Dr's are there only on Tuesdays and Thursdays... take that into consideration..
