Did some work there is an outside vendor. It’s a rehabilitation facility for men recovering from various forms of addiction. They learn how to live off the land and run a farm, everybody I saw there had a smile and a positive attitude, they invited me to eat with the patients and staff, the food was great. I guess if I had that problem that’s a place I want to spend time to get over it.

The 90 days I spent at Next Step Recovery may very well be the most important decision of my life. Dealing with substance abuse most of my life then achieving sobriety for a decade and then losing it again. I've spent 5 years trying to get back to where I was but just kept failing. In desperation I came to Next Step for 30 days of treatment and later decided to complete a full 90 days of treatment. Next Step is simply different. The program and its environment were perfect for my needs. The staff is incredible and truly care. All their therapists are second to none. The housing environment blew my expectations away with a comfortable home (not a compound) combination of safety and recovery while maintaining many freedoms like going to the gym, grocery shopping and cooking, river rafting, walks through beautiful Asheville. I even got a cool job towards the end. Next Step just offered this incredible treatment program while offering the supported opportunity to to practice normal life with out substance abuse. Not really how I imagined this "treatment". experience would be. No it was ten times better! Most relaxed I've ever been in a long time.
Months later im back home with my family and everything thing is going great! And when things are not great I can handle it using the tools that Next Step gave me.

This place is fantastic!
Note to future residents… make sure you bring extra towels/washcloths/handtowels. . You only get one of each and have to wash them yourself.
Also, there is no yoga class as show on the website as shown on the website and equine therapy is only every other week and does not include riding but is still a wonderful experience. Tai Chi is not daily as it appears on the website but only once a week. It’s so wonderful. Trey the instructor is amazing. You only get one.

This facility Red Oak recovery center is a unique treatment 👌 facility that gives clients space and time to heal. Kekey is the best case worker I have ever had. When I first meet kekey I was in a bad state of mind and I didn't care if I lived or died. I was like a turtle in a shell and I didn't want to come out of that but kekey bought me out of that. She really had to work hard to do that and she has bought me a long way. She has took me to my doctor appointments and helped me because I didn't understand. She has made me feel good about my self, were I didn't before I meet her. She is the light of my day. M.A.R.C. was an incredible resource for me during my recovery. Once I decided I was done fighting my addiction on my own I went to M.A.R.C. I truly believe that had I gone anywhere else I would NOT have faired as well as I did. I was scrolling the web and I always check the reviews of places I have physically been seen at. I'm a single father now and i havent been able to post as much as i'd like. When I saw some of the comments they really well....pissed me off. Dr Craddock is one of the most caring DR/Pshyciatrist i have encountered in my recovery. I started in 2008 in Seneca,SC and quickly moved to Recovery Concepts with Dr Craddock. Just to put it all plainly. There was never a time anything was offered to me that i didnt have to take the assesment for or bring up first. He never said try these THATS BULL. They don't just hand out any medications if they are deemed nessicary and you bring them up the administer an assesment on you and you may or may not have ADHD or anxiety. I in fact do have and will always have SUD, anxiety and adult ADHD. I will say it again for those in the back. He is a great DR/Pshciatrisrt but they dont make you take the medication and they certainlly dont bring it up. Hope this clears the BS away from him.

I definitely had my highs and lows but made it through. Pretty facility with a great view. Wish there were a few more activities to do but all in all it was good. I wasn't too fond of corporate coming in and making the terminations they did especially when having so many clients present because it definitely caused us to stress more than we needed to. There's a few other things but it's probably best I don't say them here lol. All in all, I am very grateful for Harmony's help in getting me sober. Thanks guys!

I've been in treatment 14 years. God and Medmark gave me my life back. If you truly want to feel normal again and get your life back on track then I suggest starting treatment ASAP. I have the best councillor anybody could ever have. Sherry Barnes knows me inside and out! The reason I don't go to a clinic closer to me is because of Sherry. You've got to have a councillor that you trust or your treatment could become jeopardized. So if you are ready to get your life back then I suggest Medmark and Sherry Barnes!

I have been going to this treatment center since August. In that amount of time I have seen people heal from opiate addiction to move on to healthier and better lives. I will say that the counselors at this clinic care deeply about each one of the people who walks through the door every day. If you struggle with addiction, I would suggest calling and talking to one of the counselors. Truly they care.

Broke down up here in Blairsville on our way home to Marietta. Needed to guest dose for 3 days and they ended up going above and beyond to do what they could to help us. Extremely thankful for this place. The director is definitely a lot more helpful and nice than the director at our home clinic. Definitely recommending them to anyone that needs them in this area. Joy, Shauna,and the dosing nurse are wonderful people and helped us when we needed it the most. Cant say thank you enough!!! ----Alicia and Brad----

I want to begin by saying that the medical staff at this VA location truly deserve recognition — this has been the best experience I’ve ever had with the VA.
My primary care provider, Nancy Kelly, is incredibly compassionate. She genuinely listens to my concerns, takes meaningful action, and makes me feel both heard and respected. I actually prefer seeing Nancy over my civilian provider at Prisma because of the outstanding care she provides.
My physical therapist, Catherine Houston, was absolutely phenomenal. She listened attentively to my needs and helped me progress from barely being able to walk or put weight on my leg, to being back in the gym — and even running again. Very few people show the level of dedication and care that she does.
I’m incredibly grateful for this team and feel truly blessed to be in the care of professionals who are so committed to veterans’ health and recovery.
