This place was great for my son and our family! He experienced success at Hoffman that he hadn t had in several years. I felt the staff was trauma and FASD informed and how that affects brain and behaviors. My son enjoyed the equine therapy and the animal assisted therapy. He is the most stable he has been in years and has gained skills he can use to continue that success. It was a long process to get into Hoffman but in the end it was worth the wait.

I was at Hoffman Homes for about a year and a half. When I arrived at Hoffman Homes, I barely knew myself. I didn't have a family that was good to me, so I didn't know what it felt like to have people care about me and listen to me. Not only did the staff at Hoffman Homes do this, they worked with me through my ups and downs and never judged me when I was at rock bottom. The programs at Hoffman Homes taught me positive ways to deal with stress, anxiety, and communication. They taught me that there is good in this world. The staff at Hoffman Homes put their sweat and tears into making sure us kids were okay. They worked overtime, they dealt with us when we were not ourselves, and they shared wisdom that only people with experience can share. The many many connections I made taught me that I was a person worthy of love, kindness, and respect. They taught me what was healthy and not healthy and without them, I would not be here today. There are connections and life skills I use to this day, almost two years after discharge. I could never thank you all for the dedication you put into us and our treatment. I owe you my life.

I just got home from my treatment stay here and wow ! Just wow! I had a relapse recently this year after a miscarriage and could not find proper treatment for the trauma I endured, let alone My alcohol issues that resurfaced after my loss. This is the ONLY PLACE that truly addressed my trauma issues and helped me through my substance issues. If you have PTSD and a drug/ alcohol problem, this is the only place in the state of PA that really does the work to get you better. I'm looking forward to speaking here at this facility in the next 6 months. Innovo is a game changer for your mental health! Frankly, this place saved My life! Much love to the staff here. Ok. I'm going to go out on a limb and see if you respond and take action on this. I'll assign a tentative 5 stars rating, with the expectation you'll formulate the correct approach...I wrote a google and yelp last week about this to Safeway at WMC Drive in Westminster; they responded that someone would contact me but they never did. So, I'm upping it a notch and see hat you good folks have to say!!Last week, late at night, I was in Safeway on WMC Drive in Westminster. A customer brought their pet dog (not a service animal) in to the store and the 2 of them strolled from aisle to aisle shopping here and there. I asked the store's on duty boss, Kris, if having a pet dog in the store was appropriate. Kris, in front of 2 of his store coworkers, looked at me like a deer in the headlights, cleared his throat a couple times (I could see the brain neurons moving at warp speed trying to come up with a response), and he uttered "well, I don't know the store policies or regulations on this, but I guess it's ok for them to have their dog in the store. I responded "so, let's assume the dog poops in aisle 3 and raises its leg and sprays the fresh organic lettuce with pee pee in the fresh veggie section, what are you going to do and wouldn't that be totally unacceptable in the store?" Kris shot back with "well, sir, I can assure you I'll clean it up!!" Kris did not instill any confidence in me and I could just imagine the dog barfing up grass next to the open grapes in the fruit section in a manner similar to the way my childhood pet reacted in our backyard many years ago.So, Mr or Ms Health Department, is it okay if I bring my pet parrot into Safeway some night, let him fly all around the store, and watch him deposit numerous droppings everywhere, including on the fresh open-air French bread???? This might be fun, especially if Kris is working!!What say ye?????????????????????????

I got to admit I definitely had pause about coming to this facility because of all the negative reviews. And not knowing what to expect considering that I have never been to rehab or any type of detox program. Im thankful that I made my own decision and ignored all them negative reviews based on the fact that I really wanted the help. It was hard the first couple days, but the staff and other patients kept on pushing me giving me encouragement. I have no favorite nurse they were all great ,but I have to give a shoutout to the nurse Aaron. She was so nurturing, caring and super helpful made me feel like I was in good hands seemed like she genuinely cared during my detox process. (Which was so hard for me) I m blessed to say I successfully completed the program. It was definitely an experience, to say the least!! but I stuck it out!! And I also met some coo people there. I originally went to the 30 day program, but transitioned into Safe Harbor (the 6-9 month program for women & kids) it was definitely tough at some points, and there was a lot of rules. But at the end of the day this place taught me accountability & responsibility, how to be a mother again, how live without drugs and stay sober & how to be happy in recovery. I was there in 2022, and I am now 2 years clean. I got my husband back, and all 3 of my kids back. I'm currently going to college to be a cna, and I NEVER thought I would survive addiction let alone make it this far in life. Ignore the negative reviews, the place was strict at times, and back then I HATED the rules. But now I see that they were literally trying to teach and prepare me for life in the real world.

Right Turn Impact (RTI) is the best rehab if you want to change your life--from addiction to freedom! The entire staff are recovering addicts/alcoholics, so they truly understand your addiction and ways to help, including help for your court hearing.Start with the RTI's weekend program (many referred from a lawyer when you are in trouble). You will hear from Ben C., managing partner and COO, about his story and immense knowledge and advice if you are arrested, what to do to protect your rights (don't blow--ever), and some steps to help you build a defense at court. Then you meet Kristin S., who is on the team of "Court Services." Her job and her team is to go to your court hearing, to help you give strong support to the state attorneys and judges. IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!Kristin S. gave us so much information to build up your defense--most importantly building a notebook to organize everything. She had samples and ideas. I used:*LEGAL (lawyer/police arrest, court info)*MVA/InterLock*Recovery: MADD certificate; Right Turn Impact weekend certificate; either RTI or others for progress of in- or outpatient program; and verification of AA or NA meetings**MOST Important!!! for me: Personal/Character ReferencesKristin was amazing. One of her team members, Ron, was at my court hearing. He was great. He was one of the 1st founders of Right Turn Impact.Expect okay food, but great coffee! Saturday night allows you to order from a good Italian restaurant (~$20-30). I enjoyed my companions with other addicts/alcoholics. We understood each other with a strong bond with our similar stories, our fears, and our support of each other.Beds are a bit uncomfortable--but I was happy to be there. Think about it...get better, or things could be a lot less comfortable in jail, etc.Beds and food were not my priority. More supportive pillows are needed, though, so ppl do not have sore necks, shoulders to be okay every morning/day. That is my top suggestion. Not the best but supportive and extra pillows, and extra blankets, as I had only one when I was there and it was a bit cold.Definitely call Right Turn Impact for help! They know what they are doing and understand!

I've been to a lot of drug treatment centers in the area, I'm sorry to say. This is the only one where the staff are qualified, helpful and care to such a degree. I started here years ago when I was court ordered, and I stay to help myself now that I am free. You can see the reviews of this place are very polarizing. Either one star or five star. Drug treatment is not a pleasant process. Whether ordered to be here or on your own volition, this is therapy and it means confronting aspects of yourself you don't like. You WILL come to a point where you are angry, disgusted, fed up, etc. You can either quit and go write a one star review, or push through it and be better for it.

My boyfriend (he is leaving a great review also) and I have been a client at BH a little over a year and we both think the entire staff is wonderful!!! They always treat us with kindness, respect and compassion. I have been to 2 other facilities in Laurel & Cherry Hill and BH is by far a much better Facility. Each and every staff member has greeted me with a smile and asked how I was doing EVERY time and I consider them all to be more than just "staff". My Counselor Megan is phenomenal, she answers every phone call or text message and really listens to what I have to say and sometimes I'm sure I ramble, lol. I can talk to her about anything and her advice has helped me many, many times. I consider her more than my counselor she's my friend. I have NEVER had a false positive, EVER. I think you have to be honest with yourself and not blame BH, that's a part of recovery, personal responsibility. I was in a tough spot, juggling an addiction with family life and work and not really sure what to do about it. I had been using suboxone off the street for years to manage my opioid addiction and the stress of my wife not knowing, worrying about drug testing at my job and trying to find money to ensure I would always have the medicine was wearing me out. I was nervous to contact a doctor because I hadnt used opiates in over five years, and thought there was no chance they would take someone who has been self treating for all that time. The staff at WellSpan Phil haven edgar square was not only very understanding they got me in just a few days after I called. We discussed my situation and all of my past drug use. I feel as if I have a second chance in life and I would highly recommend anyone struggling with an addiction to contact WellSpan Philhaven. I have been in many treatment programs over the past 12-15 years and this one is by far the best! Finally doctors and nurses who understand some people need help but also have a life outside of treatment!

If you are considering therapy, please take the time to read my long (lol) review.I wanted to give a follow up review. (February 2021) I sincerely feel bad for those that had a bad and unsuccessful experience. My therapy with Christina Bowman-Morrison, LPC, ended two years ago and I am doing and have been doing very well! She worked really hard to guide me to a healthier and more realistic view of my life. In the very beginning of my therapy I was in extreme emotional distress. While I was in treatment with Christina I felt genuinely cared for, not that she was simply there to get a paycheck.Along with the correct cocktail of medication, (be patient, because this may take up to a year or two to achieve) I worked VERY HARD on myself, so Christina and I made a great team.At the end of therapy I realized my subjective thinking, before I began therapy, was all askew when I thought it was all an objective reality.I had an amazing, life changing experience! Please know that if you want to be successful in therapy, you will need to work extremely hard. The therapist is there to guide you but you need to be open to the help. If you aren t willing to put in the time and emotional blood, sweat and tears, your therapy will most likely be unsuccessful. Challenging your own thinking will be required.I went into therapy with a very open mind and attitude. I wanted the help. How I was living my life (Which included extremely unhealthy behaviors due to my askew view of myself) clearly wasn t working and that s why I went into therapy. Given that I went into it with an open mind as well as being completely honest about things going on in my mind and in my life, I got the help I needed.I truly believe it s a lifelong change that I was able to achieve. Along with my hard work, Christina helped me to literally change my life for the better! I am so grateful for having had Christina as my therapist and I am happy in life now. I am also surrounded by much love.* If you are looking for a psychiatrist, I recommend my psychiatrist, Dr. Bredow. As was my experience with Christina, I truly feel genuinely cared for by Dr. Bredow and not that he s just there for a paycheck. He takes the time to really listen to you. He makes eye contact and does not interrupt you while you are talking. When I am with him I feel heard. (he will work for you to find the right medication for you).

The young lady counceller has been very good for my family member... they have been good about scheduling as well. I have had a unanswered phone call or 2 from billing office (somewhere else) as well as some confusion on billing. So if office got billing stuff sorted- Id say theyre a pretty dang good outfit.
