She was always so helpful and went out of her way for what ever I needed. The facility here is small, older and out dated . Now Beaver County is getting s totally new clinic at the Mall . So no complaints here about the care I was given at the Rochester clinic . Also VSO Kathy whose office is currently in the courthouse , did an amazing job getting me a higher disability rating and applying for my property tax exemption. Now here in Florida, I met with the VSO about reapplying here for property tax exemption and was told not their job, I would have to do that myself. I went to the VA. For assistance in this time of need. I am not service connected not disabled and they went above and beyond. 10 Stars. Every experience I’ve had there has been exceptional. From the moment you walk through the doors, the staff, UPMC Police, nurses, and physicians treat people with dignity, respect, and compassion. More importantly, they actually listen. That alone sets them apart from many healthcare experiences. What impresses me most is the physicians’ ability to quickly assess complex situations and determine what’s actually going on with their patients. Their clinical judgment is remarkable, and in my opinion, some of the brightest doctors in the entire UPMC system work within those walls. On more than one occasion, I have witnessed them stabilize a patient in a matter of minutes after other facilities struggled for days. That level of expertise isn’t luck it’s the result of highly skilled professionals who know what they’re doing. Western Psychiatric has been the saving grace of UPMC for me. If it weren’t for the incredible physicians and staff there, I would have moved my healthcare to another network, such as Johns Hopkins or the Cleveland Clinic, a long time ago. I’m four hours from there and had to bring some personal items for my husband but I have to work during the day ,they’re cut off time for drop off is 4 or 6PM, I didn’t get there till after 9 o’clock and they were so understanding and nice about it. And my husband isn’t the friendliest and doesn’t really care for people but he’s in such a good space it sounds and he’s actually getting something from being there.He says the people are great there. I’ve had to call there for a few times. I missed 3 phone calls so I had to make sure he was OK The person on the other end of the phone actually called him up to there and let me speak to him to let me know he was OK and to let him know I was OK that I didn’t answer and little things like that really mean A lot. She worked the front desk and handled the day in and day out logistics and she did more for me than she will ever realize or care to take credit for...then Cassie, Gerald, Mark, Deb, James, Chris, and Kris, and Paul, and Miranda and on and on. The staff is phenomenal...the resources they line you up with has given me the best possible chance at sobriety and I will forever be grateful to Harbor Light and the staff as a whole bc this place is filled with the sunlight of the spirit and I feel it each and every single day!
