Flagstaff, AZ | Back2Basics Outdoor Adventure Therapy is a drug and alcohol rehab in Flagstaff, Arizona. This facility offers residential addiction treatment and sober living for adult men aged 18 through 35. This Back2Basics residential program provides a combination of counseling, addiction treatment, and outdoor recreation activities. Residents engage in hands- | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Participating in the program offered by Back2Basics was an experience that changed my life, the staff is made up of good people, they supported me in the most difficult moments of my life. They not only help people to stay sober but also to enjoy their lives, in this place I found friendships that continue being a support for me after having finished the program. I recommend this program.

Back2Basics saved my life and helped me to become my old self again.
When I showed up I was scared, sad, and going through withdrawals. The staff were so understanding and empathetic and taught me coping strategies to regulate myself and get through the hard part while reassuring me that I was right where I needed to be.
I was referred to Back2Basics by a family friend who had a loved one go through the program and they informed me of its great success and spoke very highly of it; furthermore I spoke with a lot of the staff on the phone before arriving, many of whom have been through the Back2Basics program and have rebuilt their lives thanks to its efficacy.
Back2Basics is not like other treatment programs, it consists of a holistic treatment plan to heal clients emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
One aspect of Back2Basics I did not foresee but found incredibly beneficial was its focus on restructuring my preoccupation with short-term reward by separating me from my phone and limiting access to technology. Because of this, I had to relearn how to sit with my own thoughts without distraction, and how to pass the time in healthy and engaging ways (reading books, playing guitar, socializing with other clients, playing games, meditating, working out).
With a large kitchen and fresh groceries every week, us clients were able to prepare meals with fresh protein and produce, which meant proper nutrition for a healthy body. Ian, Back2Basics' own culinary specialist, would come to the property multiple times a week to cook great dinners with us and give us nutrition and fitness advice. Back2Basics also brought us to the gym every day so we could improve our fitness and undo the damage of addiction. I left the program leaner, stronger, and healthier.
One of the highlights of Back2Basics was our weekends. With two knowledgeable outdoor guides, Andrew and Colin, we spent every weekend out in nature: hiking, swimming, camping, and exploring. Discovering all the beauty of Arizona while bonding with the other clients was pivotal to my recovery, and Back2Basics prepares you for all this with excellent equipment that you get to keep upon program completion.
When we weren't at the gym or on outdoor adventures, the week was structured with plenty of therapy and groups to focus on recovery and healing. HUGE shoutout to Bethany, Natalie, and Keelyn, our program clinicians, who showed up everyday to help us clients heal and resolve our trauma. I worked with Bethany specifically doing one-on-one therapy; she helped me focus on and heal trauma I've been struggling with for decades and met me with a level of empathy and compassion that was crucial for me in my recovery. Natalie led fantastic groups that allowed me and other clients to discuss our struggles with one another and work together on solutions. Keelyn led mindfulness exercises to help us develop keen awareness of our bodies and our needs while giving excellent clinical perspectives and solutions. Thanks to all of their expertise I was able to walk away from the program with more self-assuredness, peace, and confidence that I could handle life's stresses on my own out in the real world.
Between all these activities our house managers, Cade, Reed, Ian, Dave, Brady, and Manny, connected with us and helped us navigate the day-to-day struggles by providing excellent leadership and friendship. The staff at Back2Basics made me feel truly cared for, and I am so grateful that I got to be surrounded by such kind and authentic people during my stay.
Roy, the founder of Back2Basics, is an all-around stand up human. He always checked on us guys, and I always felt like he was genuinely interested in each and every one of our recoveries. Special thanks also to Suzie for her friendly demeanor and conversation while on-site, it was always nice chatting with you while we were all cooking in the kitchen.
I would enthusiastically recommend this program to anyone struggling with addiction, and have made connections that have changed me fundamentally and made my life better. Thank you!

As a nurse and professional in the behavioral health field, I have been deeply impressed by the work being done at Back 2 Basics. The program provides young men with a rare combination of opportunities—healing, practical life skills, and the stability that is often missing in their lives.
What stands out most is the balance between clinical care and real-world development. Back 2 Basics doesn’t just focus on treatment—it empowers clients to learn accountability, independence, and the skills they’ll need to succeed long after they leave the program. Watching men grow in confidence as they take ownership of their recovery and build a foundation for the future is incredibly inspiring.
For families and professionals alike, it’s reassuring to know there is a program that treats people with dignity, structure, and compassion. Back 2 Basics is giving young men more than recovery—it’s giving them the tools and support to rebuild their lives.

Flagstaff, AZ | Southwest Behavioral Health Services is headquartered in Flagstaff, Arizona. It has a range of care and treatment options to men, women, and families navigating behavioral health struggles or drug addictions. Southwest Behavioral and Health Services in Flagstaff, Arizona is one of Arizona’s largest community based behavioral health providers | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I've bin with southwest for about 10 years, specifically this location in their MAT program, the change this place has made this last year is major! The new DR. Sean is a major change from the previous DR that was there. Sean understands not everything is black and white and actually listens to you when you tell him like hey this isn't working can we try something else's, on top of actually listening to your concerns about medication he actually cares about your recovery as much as you do, I have not had one DR. Actually try to help when I said I want to be done with MAT meds, the last DR'S would basically set you up for failure so you will have to come back and be stuck. Sean will actually help you and not abandon you through the process of getting off MAT meds.He has helped this place become more hopeful for me. You can tell he cares.... and thats the part that this clinic was missing. Southwest please hold on to this DR close. He is litterly what makes the MAT program a true recovery program.

TCRHCC was my clinic/ hospital since childhood. Early 2018, was referred transfer to Kayenta Clinic: since then been medically treated well: dental, ENT, and several ER visits. Received my Provider, she's great: referrals to other medical updates - she got departments calling me fir schedules that I needed done. Now waiting for appointment dates to arrive and getting them done.
At TCRHCC, was fine with the facility until a short time before being transferred - my doctor informed me by stating, "I have over 200 patients a week, so I only have 7 minutes to see to a you, and you look fine to me." And he left the exam room. I had a bad infected ear. Yes, he did come in and he didn't even do an exam on my ear, no medication, very unprofessional and very rude Oriental Doctor. I went to the an office to request a transfer to another clinic or hospital that same day. I now am satisfied with my medical services. I thank God for the right medical doctors and their facilities . Keeping them in prayers.

So I have Mixed Ratings** 5/5 I do want to give a shout out to the ER staff and team at this location. They are a team player and I really liked how quickly they were able to initiate an emergency when they saw one when we came in. Our situation was dire and to see the response of how everybody came together so quickly it was so powerful ,Thank you .Thank you so much. We have a continuous glucose monitoring systems for diabetes management, unfortunately it was reading false accurate report and That's what prompt us to come into the ER this morning to get my grandfather double checked on his blood sugar levels.
So let's get into the negative ..
1/5 stars , We are definitely not from the area. We are out of towners but I guess we get confused from looking like locals? I was following Google maps, on how to get here with the directions. We got an accurate reading on how to get here but we're getting close to the building I follow the emergency signs with the arrows pointing where to go, located on the sidewalk where the emergency sign that show Us where to go which is the wrong points on entrance. I hope this gets corrected, because security was on my ass for my parking which was up near the front , entering the wrong way, Parked in the handicap sign with the handicap sticker up and security definitely told me I couldn't park there but Yes understandable our situation was an emergency. My grandfather uses a cane, plus he's hard of hearing so I was there speaking for him and also communicating via dry erase board. To the ER staff of the situation. I did tell security that I promise to move to vehicle once I get my grandfather situated but once I've probably been there for " 10 minutes " she came and look for me to go tell me to move my vehicle. But please give some training to security on letting them know more about Hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar, and the dangerous condition that needs to be taken seriously, especially for those with diabetes. Glucose is the brain's main source of energy, and when blood sugar drops too low, it can lead to various physical and mental impairments. I felt like with better understanding and compassion This place can go a long way towards 5 stars

Arizona is ranked 32nd nationwide in terms of addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $56,789.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Arizona vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of the treatment types listed above. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below.
There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Arizona. Most treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Arizona that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options.
