I’ve been bringing my son to Avita for years, and he’s worked with several different counselors. Until recently, it always felt like a struggle just to get him to go, and I honestly started to lose hope. Since he’s been seeing Daniel, everything is different. My son actually looks forward to his sessions now, which is something I never thought I’d say. Daniel connects with him in a way no one else has, and the progress we’re seeing is real. What I appreciate most is that Daniel doesn’t just focus on my son—he involves the whole family. He challenges me too, and has helped me recognize ways I can support my son better. Because of that, our relationship feels healthier and less like a constant fight. If you’re a parent who’s been discouraged with counseling in the past, I can’t recommend Daniel enough.

Please do not go here. The therapist don’t care. Dr. Carter talks to you and your kids any kind of way. She even gets physical. Tried to accuse my family of not giving my son his medicine because she said we hadn’t gotten his medicine filled since October. When it was filled last month and every month on time. She then found out she made a mistake and that the medicine has been filled every month. we had a doctors appointment today to get refills. She told my son he couldn’t color in his coloring books in her office. And it started there. She blurted out all of personal business from the therapy session to everyone in the building. Which is supposed to be confidential. The rudest most unprofessional lady I’ve ever met. The ladies at the desk are phenomenal keep it up ladies. Everyone else shouldn’t be there. She also refused to send in my sons ADHD medicine when it ran out today. So now I have to wait another week for another appointment with the pediatrician. And she also locked my son and his daddy out the building.

Completely unprofessional . As a place to turn to of healthcare professionals in a time of need, the therapist only concern was for self and self feelings versus the need of my child. The office staff, and Miss Crystal are amazing and seem to be concerned about their job along with the needs of others. Intake and therapists.. not so much.

I’ve been in therapy on and off since my 20s, always striving to better myself. But in the past year with Kelly, I’ve experienced more growth, self-awareness, and clarity than in the previous 19 years combined. When I first came to her, I was in a very dark place. With her guidance, I’ve discovered foundational pillars that genuinely shape how I feel and navigate life. Just when I think we’ve uncovered it all, she helps me see new areas to grow and improve. Working with Kelly has been nothing short of life-changing. She has a amazing ability to create a space of trust, understanding, and insight that fosters real transformation. I am so thankful our paths crossed, and I can’t recommend Wellspring LS enough to anyone seeking meaningful, lasting change.

WARNING: DO NOT TRY IF YOU NEED HELP SOONER THAN LATER. I went to them seeking help with my mental health. They got back to us relatively quickly at 1st and I filled out their questionnaire and was just waiting for an appointment. Since then I have called and left multiple messages and never heard back from them. It is extremely hard as it is to reach out and ask for help, So imagine my surprise when a company that is supposedly dedicated to mental health and well being shows how little they actually care.

Beware of this group. If your counselor leaves their practice, they leave you high and dry without any response. I was a patient with their practice for 6 1/2 years. My counselor decided to leave and advised that there might not be anyone for myself, my husband and our daughter to see. She said that we would receive formal notification from the office regarding our status. We received NOTHING from the company. No thank you for being a long time patient, no recommendations for possibly other counseling services that might be available or no notice that we would be put on a wait list. I would think that after that long of a time with them, I would get SOMETHING from them. In this day and age when counseling can be so important for one's mental health, I feel this company only cares about the bottom line, MONEY!!!! The say that they are a Christian counseling service, but I do believe that Jesus says to treat your neighbor as you would want to be treated. This situation was far from that. Again, beware of this company. If you want to be treated terribly, then they are for you.

The mental health groups in this hospital encouraged feedback from the patients, but did not ask more from them than they could handle. The Social Services post-hospitalization placement service is top-notch, tailored to the needs of the individual. The groups were not necessarily cognitive-based, meaning changing one's thinking, but encouraged more reflection on the patient from their point of view. Cafeteria is great, and so is the coffee. Daily exercise is available. Shampoo, bath soap, shaving supplies, fresh towels and washcloths, and dry skin creme available. A stay here is typically less than other area hospitals that serve the same need.

This place has been a heaven sent I go to the one in Lawrenceville. The staff is professional. Counselors don't really seem to stay but in no way has this affect my treatment GG and I feel horrible I can't remember the new girls name but she has braids, keeps her nails done and always looks beautiful. I wish I couod remember her name but she's there every Saturday. The new Counselor seems to be pretty good. Someone left a comment about the owners only want your money well considering this is there business and they provide us with our meds and counseling and anything else we may need. I don't think it's asking to much that you pay. There are government methadone facilities they can help you if you can't pay. This place is a private methadone clinic. This is the owners job. You want to get paid for your services you provide at your job and its the same for them. However with that said these owners have Ben there for me when I got hurt at work and couldn't pay for over a month, and there been other bumps in the road when I didn't have the money but still wasn't turned away. I always kept my word and brought my account back up to paid off. Maybe this place isn't for everyone but if you are serious about getting well and putting the work in then I feel they have my back. Thank you guys nurses owners and Counselor for saving my life ❤️

I want people to understand something important about the program. When you complete it and leave, the medications they use as “crutches” (like SSRIs) are not designed to be permanent solutions — but they don’t really prepare you for what happens when you try to come off them. In my case, when I finished the program, I was left with nothing but “good luck.” No tapering support, no real plan, no follow-up guidance. The withdrawal from SSRI medication was a horrific experience, and I had to seek out a separate doctor on my own afterward just to cope. People should know going in: the program does provide structure and tools while you’re there, but the aftercare is lacking, especially around medication dependence. Be ready to advocate for yourself and find outside medical support when you leave.

This place literally saved my life, my career, and my family. I was "functioning" in my opinion, but I was really blind to what was happening around me. My marriage was falling apart, my career was spiraling slowly downwards, my kids had a parent who was always drinking at home, and who might show up to a soccer game or a cheerleading contest drunk and loud and embarrassing. The truth was that I was dying in front of my kids and my spouse, my job was dying, but I thought I was living. I too came here under the "6 to 8 week" suggestion, but I knew how it goes. Admissions will usually tell someone that just to get them in. I was not naive in that fashion. Yes, some reviews say "bait and switch" or "I was told this at the beginning", but what they are not telling you is that everyone gets evaluated when they first get here, and based on cognitive tests, and how messed up you and your life are, patients either leave a little earlier, right on time, or they need a little more time (like me). I figured that I drank and used drugs for years, and that it would take more than under two months for me to even begin to get better. I learned new skills, got great therapy and education and care from the staff, and after 3 1/2 months I came back home. I work in television production, and my co-workers and bosses were so supportive and understanding. My family...took a little while before the trust and love came back, but it did eventually, and it feels good because I put in a lot of hard work. Listen, I know a lot of people come to treatment for the "band aid" to fix whatever problem is slapping them in the face. But if you really, truly want to get well, get sober, and get the kind of help you need, there is no better place than Talbott. You might have to stay a little longer than those other "spin-dry" types of rehabs that just keep recycling patients who keep relapsing, but I swear this place works miracles. I am living proof.

Was mandated to complete. Its a very good structured program to help you achieve sobriety goals and foundation. Tons of resources. The director is very shady majority of the staff are very racially biased. They are geared towards success of the white residents. If you plan on entering this program and you are black or Hispanic tread very lightly. They will surely try to put you in your place whether they must lie or manipulate the protocols put in place. If your white this programs perfect for you have your way whether you just need a place to stay or are serious about your sobriety.
