Hi. I just want to say this is a great facility for detoxing and peer support. But, when I came here I was not able to receive the medication I needed when I found the one that worked. I told my doctor that the adavan the nurses were giving me worked and that I was calm and aware of my surroundings. He said to take lithium and I said No because I have been on so many drugs in the past and they did not work, that because I knew the adavan worked to give me that. I started arguing with him and then I left without any medication except for the one pill that actually worked the first night I got there. So now it's been 5 months and I still have the same underlying problems; paranoia, anxiety, negative energy, hate, anger, and pessimism. I just want the nurses and health aides to know they are very good people and do a good job and the psychiatrist is a big fat nimrod with a paper shredder degree. Thank you.

I'm not sure who you spoke to however Highland Rivers Health does accept private pay. They have a sliding scale fee system. They no longer accept commercial insurance. Monday and Wednesday are Open Access days starting at 8 am.. Intakes are done on a first come first serve basis except for individuals who are hospital release or crisis appointments. You need a GA ID, SSA card, of and proof of income. They'll give you time to get proof of income and SSA card.
That staff works really hard to provide the best care possible to all the individuals they serve.

I came into this facility in bad shape with no hope as an alcoholic. After being there for 28 days I came out a new man. A different person. A better person. The staff there is unbelievable and have lots of knowledge to share! I could not have done it on my own. The food there is amazing also. Embark Behavioral Health - Benton in Benton, Tennessee, is an accredited residential mental and behavioral health treatment center and school. It’s based among the picturesque mountains of Tennessee. Support here is available to teen boys and young men. Flexible payment is available, and various insurance options are accepted. The center’s uniq | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Embark has been such a great experience for both my 17 year old son and me and his father. It’s intense as it is a 3 month long residential program, but I feel like everyone at Embark really cares about making things better for young boys that are neurodivergent and have behavioral issues. The staff works really hard to help the boys develop better coping skills so that they can be successful in life. The program also helps parents by providing tools for parenting children that are atypical. I can say that our son’s counselor Kevin truly made a difference in all of our lives. Our son would agree too. The weekly parent support group was helpful in that parents can connect and realize that you’re not alone. The other staff, psychiatrist, nurses are all very communicative and committed to what they do. We as a family are in a much better place now because of Embark.

For over 30 yrs Ive worn a headset and have been helping customers. Recent grad (90+ days sober) from RVA and this place was a miracle for me. This place will change your life if you're willing and ready to recover.
Pros: excellent 1:1 and group therapy; great peer/staff support; caring/concerned staff at ALL levels; chefs put a lot of care into trying to accommodate all clients and the food they provided.
Cons: inconsistency in provided info; lack of communication among staff
Shout-outs to:
Ashley, therapist: created trusting, engaged, safe group
Ms. Cathy, nurse: so incredibly caring, concerned and helpful
Sam, BHT: super helpful, always made time to listen/accommodate client needs.
Justie, group lead: her educational groups were the best! Engaging, fresh topics/materials.
Lance, BHT (shorter Lance, sorry!): helped me tremendously one night when I was extremely distressed

Embark Behavioral Health - Alpharetta is part of a nationwide network of outpatient centers and residential programs that specialize in mental health issues, including substance use disorders. At their Alpharetta, Georgia, location they serve preteens, teens and young adults ages 12 to 28. They’ve been working with youth for over 25 years. Locate | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Honest rating of overall facility.
This place was genuinely a life changer for me, and I could see that in other kids there as well. I loved almost every therapist there, and most of the kids were friendly. I really liked the adolescent room because it was spacious, and it was always clean. The bathrooms never had any paper towels, but other than that the restrooms were very clean. Honestly, I can't ever remember a time that the facility was dirty or cramped.
Honest rating on each therapist.
Ashley - Ashley is awesome! During my time at Embark, Ashley ran most of our groups. She was so kind, and compassionate. I feel like she genuinely perused this kind of work because it's her passion to help people. She always listened and made sure everybody got a chance to talk. She also is very observant, and checks in if you're not having the best day. Which is really nice sometimes to know somebody notices and cares is comforting.
David - David is also a really cool guy. He ran group often. He can be a little bit rough sometimes, but everybody has different ideas on how to do things. For example, if you were sleeping during therapy, he'd bang on the table, which can be a trigger for some people. He can also be a little bit strict sometimes, for example taking the markers, or popsicle sticks that we're aloud to have with every other therapist. From what I heard he does really well as an individual, or family therapist. Overall, I think he genuinely is passionate about his job, is a good person, and cares a lot about the kids even if it might not seem it sometimes.
Elvin - Awesome dude! Elvin was genuinely so kind and always energetic. I think he wrote prescription medicine, and if you have any problems with that, he gets it resolved very fast. He only did group sometimes for adolescents when I was there, but when he did an amazing job in my opinion. He's genuinely such a cool dude he will talk to you about literally anything, he's an open book and has some pretty cool stories!
Myron - Myron was my individual and family therapist. Genuinely such a cool, funny, nice dude! I really enjoyed my individual therapy sessions with him, and he was the first therapists I felt I ever made progress with. He didn't do group much, so I can't really say if he's good at it, but I'm sure he is! He really cares about his patients.
Jamonica - Jamonica was someone who also did groups quite often. Her energy is so great, and she was soooo kind to me while I was there. She's such a sweet person, and you can really tell how passionate about her job she is. I've also heard she's an amazing individual and family therapist.
Lauren - I rarely ever talked to her. She rarely did group for the adolescents, but some of the other adolescents said she's an amazing individual therapist. I didn't not talk to her for any specific reason; she just didn't do group much and primarily was in her office. I talked to her maybe once or twice, and when I did, she was nice.
Maya - She ran group occasionally and was perfectly fine. She wasn't my personal favorite therapist, but not for any bad reason. I didn't really love the skills she taught, and how she taught them, but nothing against her at all. I'm not sure if she's an individual therapist.
Med management (Dr. Hooper) - Dr. Hooper is super friendly, and really good at finding the right medication fits for you. Php meets with her once every week, while Iop meets with her once every 2 weeks.
Maria - Maria is also a nice lady. I'm honestly not sure what she does, but when I was enrolling, she did the paperwork and stuff. You will also take outcomes, which ask you questions about how you're dealing with anxiety, depression, etc. She has access to those outcomes, so 100% feel free to ask her to take a look at them!
Overall, I think the staff is awesome!
Please check bags better, Embark. The bag checking is honestly a joke. There are people who deal with all kinds of things, and not saying anything would happen but please check better just in case.
Goodbye, Team Embark, I'll miss you guys!

We have been on a mental health journey with our daughter for quite some time. Nothing ever seemed to click, and past PHP programs caused only more harm and trauma with no healing. Since joining the Embark program we can see glimmers of it working. I know that she feels safe here, and has confidence in her care (as do we). We attended a family night and when they say family they clearly include the caregivers and staff along with the patients and their family. I say this because the whole vibe was joy and love. I couldn't be happier (or more relieved) about our choice.

Located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Harmony Oaks Recovery Center provides outpatient mental and behavioral health care for adults, including medically supervised ambulatory detox, dual diagnosis care, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), general outpatient (OP), and aftercare programming. They are state licensed and Joint Commi | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Harmony Oaks has restored hope in my family's hearts and souls!!!! It is evident they TRULY care about the individuals who come there. My son (age 20) has been in and out of mental health treatment and treatment facilities for the past 11 months. He was diagnosed with ASD some time ago, and with bipolar disorder 11 months ago, and has attempted suicide 3 times in that span of time. During that time, I've also dealt with crisis centers, ER's, inpatient m.h. facilities, residential m.h. treatment, outpatient treatment and medication management. Right from the start Harmony Oaks has stood out from the rest! The level of communication they've provided to me/his family has been outstanding! ...Thank you, Olivia, Abby, Destiny, James, and Doug...for reaching out at different stages of the process, keeping me informed, letting me know my boy was okay, and for identifying the need for some additional care my son needed, and making all of those arrangements! You...the staff...are the family's lifeline when our loved one is being cared for by others. I can't begin to express the level of anxiety & stress I've experienced during times my son was at other facilities and I couldn't get anyone to communicate with me for about 5 days, even though my son had signed a release. And Greg...I think you might have quite literally saved my son's life. He called last night and told us that on the drive to the airport, you spoke to him and told him about assistance for persons on the spectrum, and that you would work with him when he returned to your facility after first receiving a higher level of care. Last night my son said he had planned to take his life (hence the need for a higher level of care before actually entering Harmony Oaks' IOP residential program), but that you made him promise he wouldn't harm himself. He said that you were a good guy...he expressed in his own way...that you actually cared about him, as an individual, and his particular challenges. My son has always felt invisible. But you made him feel seen, and I mean truly seen, like he's not just a number in a long list of names. Greg...my son is now saying he will try. He actually said that you changed his perspective. And nobody has been able to do that in the past 11 months, until you Greg! Thank you to all of you for what you do every day. A hard, hard job. But you change peoples' lives...not only the persons you work with directly, but their families as well. I pray God blesses each and every one of you. You have restored hope in my son, and given us/his family and friends hope as well.

I went to Black Bear Lodge back in February. It was one of the best decisions, if not the best, I’ve ever made. It totally changed my life. It helped me get sober and to find my true self after 55 years on earth. The staff were amazing, especially Mrs. Ginger, Mrs. Tiffany and Jim. The RA’s helped me out a lot. Many of them are also in recovery, so they knew where I was coming from. The cabins were excellent and the food was incredible. Let me not forget about the breathtaking Mountain views. I met life long friends while being there and we still encourage each other thru text, phone and social media. I think everyone should go to Black Bear at least once, preferably sooner than later. Even if you don’t have addiction problems. This place will change the way you think and live. Five stars for Black Bear Lodge.

I have had clients go through the Extension and I have volunteered serving meals there. I read the post about it being racially biased but I have never witnessed anything or heard any other complaint like that. I would not hesitate to have one of my minority clients go through their program. It is all about and all for the residents to build a better life.

I like this place they’re kind of my fiancé who is currently in here. I really enjoyed that fact they don’t keep him from calling me. I bought two phone cards and I’m hoping that he uses his cards up before he goes to another facility thank you guys for doing your job in this place That’s why I’m giving you guys five stars. I understand you can’t give a lot of information to protect him. I appreciate that. Thank you for having people that actually do their job. This is jade Kinney

This facility has very competent, professional, and caring staff. I was there for alcohol detox for 5 days. My detox was comfortable. The rooms are clean. The facility is lovely. It’s not gross or dirty. The food ? Horrible. Really bad. Also, some of the patients were really hard-core and filthy. One guy sat there spitting into a styrofoam cup. It was really disgusting. I asked one of the techs if they encouraged the dirty, stinky patients to shower. I never received an answer.

Woodstock, Georgia | Brand New Start is now part of the Comprehensive Treatment Center network. They offer outpatient treatment for those who’re struggling with opioid use. They help adults of all genders by using medication assisted treatment. They’re located in Woodstock, Georgia. Medication assisted treatment combines prescription medication with counseling. Thi | Treatments Programs Payment Options | This is a clean clinic and has many great qualities that can very much help your road to sobriety! However, the main issue here is the CONSTANT councilor change! As soon as one gets comfortable with their counselor, they leave. It is such piece of mind to build a relationship with your councilor and the nurses, just so you can have that report and someone that knows you and can be in your corner if ever needed. There are alot of patients that are not there for the right reasons, then there are also alot of patients that ARE there for the right reasons. The constant change certainly does not give one peace of mind. Familiar faces change places. I can not help but think its the higher ups not doing what is necessary to keep them happy in their workplace. Its sad really! Seeing consistency is very important, especially for addicts working on their road to recovery!
Otherwise I do believe this is a good place that has alot to offer addiction recovery for the ones who truly want it!

If the Recovery services that are offered by this center are needed, I can't think of a better place to go! Woodstock treatment center has professional Counselors that are non-judgemental, kind and empathetic, (shout out to Lindsay!) developing a plan of care tailored to the individual's needs so recovery though painful is attainable. As a bonus it is affordable even if you do not have insurance. The only negative is lack of parking.

Well she ended up moving onto another job in April of this year. Then I got my new one end of April. I loved her too but sadly she's going somewhere else too. I see the new one next week. Even though I gave 5 stars I am bummed I keep getting new therapist. I didn't even find out about my new one until she called me today to tell me the news.
