Trying to get appointments over the phone is a joke, it's the wrong number.... needs to be fixed. We finally drove to the VA Clinic in Pahrump, and talked to a Very Helpful staff member. ( Lacey ). We got my husband's appointment, and everything straightened out. The staff member actually was typing and talking, and listened to everything we had to say... at the same time!!! most workers can't or wont do that! She fixed all the problems we was having with the VA, in a very short time!! Great Job, Lacey. You need to hire more staff like her!

U-Turn For Christ is a two-month minimum residential ministry of restoration for men struggling with the sin of addiction. U-Turn For Christ is located in Pahrump, Nevada. At U-Turn for Christ they believe Jesus is the only way to true freedom from the sin of addiction. Their program is based entirely on the Word of God. Christian discipleship is
This program gave me hope when I had no hope in my life. Uturn for Christ teaches us struggling with addictions how to be disciplined Men of God. The Lord used this program to restore my life, family, and Pastor John and Mary Ann were with me every step of the way. No one ever said it would be easy, but Gods grace is enough! Of course this program has rules and consequences of bad decisions. Those are life lessons we men need when we come to Uturn! Also the free will to leave anytime, you must be willing to let God change you from the INSIDE/OUT. My freedom from addictions has come from Jesus Christ through this ministry. I completed this program in 2016-17 and have become the man of God I was created to be. God has blessed more than I deserve as I serve my wife, family, church and community all for the Glory of God. If you have a loved one who needs help, this program will recieve them with open arms and a heart to want to see them succeed. I am a living testimony to that! God bless🙏

Praise the Lord! Thank you Jesus for U Turn for Christ in Pahrump, NV. I arrived at this discipleship program a completely broken and desperate individual. I was a horrible husband, a manipulative son, and a wicked neighbor. Fortunately the Son of Man had other plans for me. He said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.” (Mark 2:17) And to say I was sick was a vast understatement. I was one injection of fentanyl away from death. I had no intentions whatsoever of changing. I only attended U Turn to placate my family and the law. I had several warrants out for my arrest and a bounty hunter after me, yet the Lord used Pastor John and his patience plus persistence to reach me. When I finally submitted to his authority and actually read the word I was completely and radically transformed instantaneously from a son of satan into an adopted son of the most high God. I have been sober over 3 years now and my entire life is dedicated towards shining as a light pointing towards Christ and the work He did on the cross (Ephesians 5:8). I teach children’s ministry at Calvary Chapel in Carson Valley with my amazing wife Ana who also happened to be my first convert 😀. The Lord answered our heart’s desire when he gave us the most beautiful son ever who just turned one year old named Titus. Of course I owe all my gratitude towards the Father for drawing me near, the Son for dying for me and receiving me into His kingdom, and the Holy Spirit for transforming me into a new creation as well as sanctifying me. Pastor John and U Turn played an instrumental role within my regeneration and I will forever be grateful to everyone there. I had been to over 20 programs in my life before U Turn and attempted to beat my addiction via every worldly solution imaginable, yet now as I look back it was all rubbish until I had met Christ. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who wants eternal joy and is fed up with their addiction running their life. Until then may God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you! (Numbers 6:24-26). ❤️

I came into the program April 2022, with the wrong motive. Meaning trying to impress my wife. Took a long time to realize that to change I needed to do it for me. We all have our own personal walk with our Lord and Savior. I was there 15 months, amd yes it's a 8 month program. I was a late Bloomer. The first phase is hard, doing jobs in the community, and not seeing the rewards. But trust me they are waiting for you. I've had to dig a five by five hole. It took a lot to be disciplined. Thanks to me I made it easier. Sorry Pastor for the grey hairs. I would like to address the negative comments about the digging holes in 112 temperature, and being left off at gas stations. Phase one men don't dig till after 9pm and Pahrump is not 112 at night Secondly phase 2 men can dig at any time, for any duration as long as it's done in 3 days, exceptions are made. In regards to dropping men off at gas station, a call is made to inform friend or family, of situation. Men who walk off property are mostly welcome back, the punishment is digging a hole. Hence in life we have a choice. I recommend this program. It's a working ranch, and yes they feed you good. They don't call it the u turn40 for a reason for a reason. Thanks to Pastor John, and his wife Maryanne for putting up with me for 15 months Men have you gotten to that point, and you're telling yourself I got this, that's when you need help. God is waiting for you with open arms

Took the Rock in December of 2005. Mike Richie was one of the more memorable councilors with his 4:30 a.m. formation call-out in the freezing weather just to tell you how great the weather is in the Bahamas. It's one of the most peaceful and beautiful places I've ever been to. I made a whole lot of great memories and friends up there. And would go back every summer to beat this Vegas heat and for the peace of mind this wonderful place on earth gives you. To all the brothers I found out there, I hope you're doing well and hope to see y'all again real soon!

I went to this program when I was 17 years old back in 2006 and I was so strung out and a mess. I'm about to celebrate 20 years off my drugs of choice and I couldnt have done it wothout this place. I needed to be removed from society for a while and learn healthy coping skills. when I got out I moved to a brand new city and made all new friends and went to college and have always worked and I make art and love live music. I live such a happy life and I'm eternally grateful to West Care

The Nestled is a drug rehab facility accredited by the Joint Commission. They offer medical detox, residential and outpatient programs in a luxurious mini mansion in Las Vegas, Nevada. I visited Nestled Recovery Center last week and was really impressed with the personal attention I received. Alex and the team are truly outstanding! They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and felt welcomed throughout my visit. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients and aren’t just waiting for time to pass. The nursing staff were incredibly qualified and professional, which gave me confidence in the level of care provided here. What really stood out to me was how personal and flexible everything felt. There’s no strict, stingy corporate atmosphere like you might find elsewhere. It feels like a place where individual needs actually matter. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained, and the grounds create a really peaceful environment. I came away feeling like this would be an excellent choice for anyone needing quality care in a supportive setting. Highly recommend taking a tour if you’re considering your options.

The Nestled Recovery Center is truly a gem in Las Vegas. From the moment you arrive, the calming environment and thoughtfully designed amenities provide a sense of peace and safety that’s so essential to healing. What truly sets Nestled apart, though, is its heart—especially Lindsey, the director. She meets each person exactly where they are, offering genuine compassion and unwavering support. Her dedication to both individual recovery and the broader Las Vegas community is nothing short of inspiring. Nestled isn’t just a recovery center—it’s a place of transformation, hope, and community care.

I can only speak of my experience, but for me it was life changing!🙏 One day in Ms. April's class we watched a movie called Unguarded about the life and struggles of NBA ex Boston Celtic player Chris Herren and his struggles with addiction. While in and out of treatment he goes back one last time where they tell the former NBA player he can come back but he has to be at the pot sink washing pots and pans for i think they said around 10 hrs a day for days. He goes on to state "I found myself at that pot sink".Desert Hope has been MY pot sink and I am truly grateful! 💜 The staff from front desk to housekeeping are fantastic. Shout out to Ari the clinical director for making miracles happen for me, my case manager Vivian (if you decide to do the next right thing and choose Desert Hope request her), April (counselor), Nisha(counselor), my favorite TA's (Stevie, Brittany, Linda, Mark, Booker, Tommy), the kitchen staff especially my boy Jimmy, Nurses Karen and Olga, the people who run our little store here, the housekeeping staff and last but definitely not least Richard (he is my bread and butter). I want to give Richard a special shout out. I can't say how grateful I am for you! Thank you for caring enough to tell me things I may not want to hear but need to, thank you for standing on business, and thank you for caring enough to push us daily to prepare for struggles that may arise (cause there will definitely be struggles)! Oh cant forget Ms. Roberta. Thank you all again! I want to share with you something i wrote while in treatment: Into the unknown: Over the years I have gotten sober and have even been able to stay "dry" for 3 years one time, but I have NEVER worked a program of recovery. This is what I say is my 4th time (many many more times than that, but 4th treatment center) and this time I am walking one foot in front of the other "into the unknown", for me anyways. This time I had reached MY rock bottom and am willing to do ANYTHING to fight my way out. From flying across country for treatment, to getting up EVERY morning (some days my feet dont wanna hit the ground but im doing it anyways) at 4:45 so I can be walking from 5-6 (its not about the distance but that im getting up and doing it), im listening to positive affirmations while im in the shower (I may cuss the lady on Youtube occassionally because I think she is too happy, but I do it anyways), I got denied financial assistance for sober living so I took it upon myself and typed up a financial hardship letterand submitted it and was accepted on the spot (a HUGE win for me because I didnt play poor pitiful me, I showed up for myself and didnt take no for an answer, and most importantly I FINALLY at the age of 43 dropped to my knees for the first time while bawling and told God im turning it all over to him and asked him to show me the way. As I walk into MY unkown I do it now with confidence because I now know I CAN DO HARD THINGS!! I hope if anyone is struggling with addiction I hope you know YOU ARE WORTH IT, YOU ARE LOVED, AND YOU ARE ENOUGH!

Approx 9/17-19/2025 Met some great staff members again at the VA HOSPITAL. I visited multiple departments from medical records to pre-surgery operation. One individual stands out it was a male nurse called Jeff he made a serious attempt and got back w/ me with a great transcript message trying to locate my Surgery. I received 1 yr ago from Dr. Bautista, who did a wonderful robotic surgery on me on their Da Vinci machine. I had a double inguinal surgery . I understood I was to get a copy of that surgery video that Miss Aquino told me she had sent. Nvr recd it Jeff informed of future details.thx ************************ 08/09/2024. And 9/30/24 A big Salute to Dr Robt-Marlo Bautista MD AND his 3 nurses Alexis LPN, Michele RN, Cathy Navigator nursery and Laura RN. Whether on the phone or in person they all treated me with respect and dignity & Dr Bautista will be my future surgeon using the Da Vinci robotic for my hernia repair. 9/30/2024 Returned for 2 week post operative follow up and came in to talk to Dr. Bautista again who is a young, energetic, kind, compassionate caring special individual. He holds the rank of Captain and takes good care of his health no drinking or smoking and exercises regularly. He also takes care of emergency surgeries that come into the VA HOSPITAL. He did a normal job on the robotic Surgery called the Da Vinci machine. my follow up exam went great and looked great, and I even wore my navy uniform and hat, and made sure that when I saw him this time, I saluted him because I wanted to honor his skill set and taking care of me. Again, God bless the doctor and his staff, and I think the hospital for, such excellent care. They really pay attention to cleanliness and sanitation . they had me bathe and washed with a special soap the night before surgery in the morning before and when I arrived, they gave me six more antiseptic towels for my arms, legs, front and back. They gave me his special mouthwash, toothbrush, and even iodine swabs to swab out, my nostrils. I was impressed because I know myself that bacteria and infections can really be life changing and detrimental. Should you acquire it during or after surgery. The packet they give you is very detailed and makes it important that you keep your incisions, clean and dry and don’t bathe and take showers or lift weights anymore than 10 pounds for six weeks afterwards. I also want to mention and Salute Pre-Ops Staff Nurse Practitioner Ronnie Bowen who took a lengthy time with me going over bloodwork, chest X-rays and EKG TRACINGS. He was awesome. His nurse helper Rochelle .Great personal attention. Thank you for Kentesha at the front desk who’s always smiling as she greets all us vets. A salute to the X-Ray staff Duncan Johnston who was excellent and really great personality. Made me feel very comfortable. Also a special special thanks for the anesthesiologist and I’m sorry I miss placed his name. His job is very important to bring you back after they put you out before surgery. The Optical department Allana Fa Garagan great as she found my lost glasses that were missing for months and the always kind desk receptionists always kind and patient all day long or after hour with lines of patients and telephone calls. I have to answer. Sorry, I forgot their names. The phlebotomist Alejandro in the lab was expedient and wonderful as well as beautiful black lady who I forgot her name was also great two days later when I went back to the lab. Thanks to the entire VA Hospital personnel from top to bottom and all the vendors and volunteers who make the hospital run like a well oiled clock. Jesus cares say your prayers. Amen! ******************************************* Dear Radiology and staff personnel. I visited late yesterday afternoon and was met by Britney at the counter and a radiologist named Giovanni. They were both excellent and I had great rapport with them. They both had smiling faces and I could see loved working with people. Thanks so much for a wonderful visit to Radiology. Sincerely, Marc Mercury, Veteran Seabee NMCB-40. 68/69.

Here is a POSITIVE VA experience. I was having some issues with my VA travel claims, on the VA website the claim status was: claim paid, but I never received the money into my direct deposit account and/or it was never mailed to me. So, I called main travel claim phone number, I spoke to Trevor, who transferred me to Calvin and he transferred me to Rico and Rico then finally transferred me to Lisa in the accounting department. Even though I was transferred numerous times, Trevor, Calvin and Rico were all friendly and helpful and eventually got me to the right person, Lisa. Lisa in accounting was friendly, knowledgeable, down to earth and she was able to answer all my questions and she was able to provide me with all the information that I needed to resolve my travel claim issues.

From the moment I arrived in the emergency room at the VA hospital to the moment I woke up from my surgery, I was truly cared for it in this place. I never had to wait. I was never disrespected. It seems like everything all around us is falling apart sometimes, but this place was truly a refuge in my time of need. Thank you to Jacqueline and Dr. Kim and so many other names that I forgot and should remember along the way because they remembered mine. The other staff on the unit i was on were great too. They did care and always checking up on me if they saw me alone. I would highly recommend coming to virtue rehab, they have giving me the best tools, skills, knowledge, and medicine to help combat my meth addition. I Came here completely broken and lost, and now I have the strength to hold my head up high. I want to say thank you to the amazing staff members, especially my case manager, cameshia, my therapist Kerri, therapist Steven, my rehab techs Aaliyah, Kim, Floyd, and heather. The onsite doctors are amazing, and the manager Tommy is awesome. I feel comfortable to say that if I ever have a problem with my addiction I’m coming right back here.

I recently moved from Arizona and before I came into this house I moved to another sober living (not this one) and that house did not work out for me so I luckily found this one. The reason I say that because unlike other houses, here at New lyfe solutions the house manager works here at the house meaning he's actively involved helping you in your recovery and making you self sufficient. He will guide you to your meetings show you were they are and not only that. Push recovery upon you. If any parents or family members is reading this review wondering if this house is right for their loved ones. I can say that they won't be just on vacation here Carlos pushes recovery onto the men here. Not because he has to but he truly wishes the best for everyone here at the home. If ur anything like me and need real structure to have the best shot too regaining your life back. And start living not surviving. Come give it a shot! Nothing but great things here. Oh yeah Carlos the house manager helps out with grocery runs weekly which goes long way so you don't carry heavy water, soda, fruit, watermelon, etc back on your own. Great location too meeting down the street, fast foods, haircuts, smoke shops grocery stores. Bus stops. Won't regret this house one bit. Thanks for New Lyfe Solutions running a solid house and program. shout out to Carlos for helping me out as well.

This remarkable institution embodies the very essence of transformative compassion, serving as a sanctuary where individuals who have triumphed over the formidable challenges of addiction now devote themselves to uplifting others still in its grasp. Nearly every member of the staff possesses the invaluable perspective of lived experience, imbuing their work with an authenticity and depth of empathy that cannot be taught. Their unwavering commitment quite literally saved my life, and over time, many of them have come to feel like an extension of my own family. Were my own children ever to require intervention and support, there is no question that this would be the place I would entrust with their care. Here, every effort is purposeful and relentless, driven by a shared mission to restore dignity, rebuild lives, and reignite the spark of hope in those who may have thought it lost forever.

The person I am today was not the person I was 7 months ago. Lionheart recovery center seen me at my worst, and took the time to understand how to help me. The vibe, the staff, allowed me time to detox and had round the clock care for me when I needed it the most. I have a different outlook when I look at addiction. This experience allowed me to understand MY addiction and gave me a purpose. Help the next person. Do the work, open up, be Honest and give this place a chance. The "Choice" is only yours to make.

Newer, non-smoking, handicap accessible, secure, short term drug & alcohol detox facility. First came through in 2016, when it first opened, on my way to a 90 day Westcare residential program. Now I have 4.5 years clean and sober. I visit monthly to speak to clients about getting recovery, because this is where my new life first began, and I am grateful. It is what you make it. Staff works very hard, and will help you with many resources for recovery. But you have to ask!

After trying the typical American drug rehabilitation centers philosophy , and failing repeatedly , FINALLY I found a place that actually knows what they are doing and has the logic , leadership and the healing power I was missing. Stop wasting your time on anything other than these modalities! I can't ethically recommend anything other than Holistic House ! Thank you , thank you , THANK YOU!!!

Having a safe place to land after coming out of an ibogaine treatment is one of the most important aspects of the recovery process, and Holistic House is exactly that place. All of the treatments and activities they offer are very effective in helping people integrate into their lives. Holistic House is revolutionary in it's approach while at the same time competitive in the overall cost. It's clear that the work Hoffman and his staff provide is from the heart. My wife required the Immigration medical exam. Dr. Partida's clinical team did a great job. The person drawing blood was awesome, my wife did not feel the needle at anytime. Also took the time to explain in detail the procedure, the different vaccines being applied and if any reactions that might result. Thank you for your great service and professionalism.
