Pasadena Villa has been a huge help in my healing journey and I truly feel that my life is forever changed. I feel so much more secure within myself, so much more confident in my ability to manage difficult emotions, and I feel at peace knowing I am capable of carrying myself into this next chapter with grace, courage, and vulnerability. Carly was truly a life changing presence for me and therapist. Justin has been an incredible support and accountability partner throughout this process. Shawna broke my brain in the most beautiful ways in art therapy and she challenged me to see myself in a different light. Alex helped me find a new love for yoga and mindfulness. These staff members truly care about you and I recommend this to anyone who feels a little lost.

My experience at PV has been life changing. Even at only one week here I learned so many skills on how to regulate my emotions. I was skeptical of the group setting but it actually helps you speak your mind and talk about hard topics that you normally wouldn’t to friends or family. Over my 5 weeks I’ve been treated with nothing but respect and empathy from every employee, my group and especially my therapist Alex who makes me feel seen and heard. I owe my life to Alex who supports me and validates me. Thank you to this program and everyone who helped me change my life.

Charlotte, NC | Midwood Addiction Treatment is a Joint Commission accredited rehabilitation facility in Charlotte, North Carolina, that treats drug and alcohol addiction. The facility focuses on providing scientific care that’s been proven to help with recovery. Alternative Therapeutic Approaches in Charlotte The facility offers alternative therapeutic approach | Treatments Payment Options | I can't thank Peggy Lombardo (Alumni Coordinator) enough for saving a family member's life. She befriended "Will" long before he was willing to seek help. He was never alone in life because she checked on him regularly and gently coaxed him into getting the help that he desperately needed.
Approximately 7 months after reaching out, Will made the decision to better his life by accepting Peggy's offer of help. Once his decision was made, Peggy instantly started moving mountains to get him the help he needed. She was in daily contact with his family offering her advice, supplying helpful contact information, and even talking him through his fears when they became too great and he wanted to run.
As a result of Peggy's unrelenting quest to help Will, he has received a Certificate of Completion from the Midwood Addiction Program where he received counseling, housing, a sense of community, independence, and gradually took control of his life again.
A little over a month after graduating, Will has found employment and is ready to start this new healthy chapter in his life. When asked if he ever talks to Peggy anymore, the answer is "yes! she's full of valuable resources.".
How do you thank someone who has saved the life of someone you thought was lost forever? There is no repayment plan that could ever be enough for this angel on earth. Peggy will always be our angel. She truly has an amazing gift and we are forever in her debt.

Great place! Coming into this I was a little skeptical about being treated well. The staff and therapist took their time with me, to tend to my needs as a new patient. I had some bumps along the way until I met Evie Dillard. She was so helpful to me by giving me extra resources to get ready to exit treatment. I’m talking about food, shelter and even information about great jobs. I started working, got a place to rest my and made great friend for life. Thank you so much, Evie.

Lemme tell you about the housing situation 1st.
I read the good reviews and the horrible and the bad kinda concerned me.
I can tell you the bad was not only exaggerated but most just someone salty and spreading total BS.
There are no rodents and I've never been to a house that had zero bugs not even a fly before I got here, not even my father's house. Ok so these 2 floor some with a upper smoking/ lounge deck are nice nice! 4 bedroom 3 full double sink bathrooms , two with walk-in shower , I bath / shower and a half bath by living room. It's fully stocked with any pans coffee pot anything you need.
The staff are some of the nicest ppl and you absolutely get to know them.
You are treated pretty much how you treat them. Just be kind!
Midwood center was the one I went to and the staff there are always awesome. If you need something just speak up, I've seen ppl come through and expect everyone to be mind readers.
I would list everyone I love at Harmony but I'm horrible with names but there are standouts.
Christine, Crystn (sik). Byron,Lisa, Miss Gail
( Amber always pushing DBT therapy 😬) Bobby, the tech who's name escapes me that calls everyone "Big Dog)
And Lastly but firstly Miss Peggy who is the sweetest person I've ever met and she saved my life just by getting to know me calling my phone to talk to someone else. She had my back and actually drove to Salvation Army and helped me get insurance, talked me into Salvation Army in first place and bought my broke ass two packs of smokes
She is absolutely a gift from God and deserves to be the highest paid at Harmony!
But I'm betting she would do it for free
No fear y'all this place is absolutely what you make it.

I have been going here for a year now and I have had no problems. The difference in Mcleod and otherr clincs is Mcleod is really set up to help you succeed. If you come to people as people and treat the staff with respect and understanding, they will do the same for you. I have dosed at the other clinic in Gastonia before I came to Mcleod and I prefer Mcleod 100 percent. Staff really does care here about your life and your recovery. Abby is wonderful and will do whatever she can to help you if you have a problem, the nurses are all nice and polite, the front desk ladies are always friendly and smiling (even at 5 am), my counselor is great, and the peer support staff (Karen) is wonderful as well. So like the other review said, " you get what you put in,." If you want to have a better quality of life and become and maintain your soberity, go to Mcleod, they have everything there to help you get where you need.

Noticed all the bad reviews have 2 or 3 things in common
1- Felt there should've been (more) reminders to not miss the app.
2- Didn't like their tone.
3- Were tthere 1 or more years ago.
Maybe they took these criticisms to heart last year, which is a little before I started visiting, since I get an almost annoying amount of reminders (phone, email, etc) and everyone treats me like family.
But I'd like to address these complaints in order:
1- Aren't you a veteran? Have you no shame? When I'm told I'm due anywhere, by anyone, I just need the time/place/uniform from them (uniform= the "why" in the civi world). Sound familiar?
I like that they "over-do" it with the reminders now, because missed apps are costly and disruptive, you're inability to manage your schedule and meet your own commitments means less available app slots for me and the rest of us who respected our battle buddies enough to not make them drag us out of the barracks to formation late. You got the last existing phone without a calendar/reminder function?🤨 Grow up, take responsibility, you're embarrassing us.
Do push-ups😂
2- People should be nice to each other, but that also means compassion. If you need your health providers to kiss your butt and say my pleasure to every thank you they hear, you're also not being very compassionate.
Don't be rude, sure, but as a former healthcare worker experienced in managing Karens, I can tell you the job is hard and underpaid enough to not have any time for extra "retail courtesy", that obviously fake level of servant-like submission to your "masters" (ie customers) some people seem to require as part of their expectation to be "wowed".
If their attitude is what cost you (eg they wouldn't talk to you) then yeah, you should speak up, but one review whined that they didn't ask the right questions🤯 Seriously!?
OK, so they don't get the CS award, but it's YOUR health! You got something you know you want to tell them, how bout you soldier up and say it then?
They're not your boyfriend, and btw, he couldn't read your mind either, so be a (polite) grown up when you remind them they canceled your previous app and it's causing you hardship.
They are caring human beings that can (in my experience) be reasoned with, not scrub adorned androids built to massage your delicate ego😉
3- My recent experiences defies older reviews, so I'll give those critical reviews the benefit of doubt and say sorry that happened last year, but my experience these days is different.
Sure they can improve, honestly I'd have given them 4stars were it not for the unfair skewing of the average rating that uses old and questionable reviews, but they clearly care, and that's more than I've gotten from lots of fancy looking and expensive private facilities.

We were in a state of tiredness and felt out of options and then we talked to Steve at Insight who explained that my son needed to experience joy, fun, support and just be a teen, who is now sober. We moved from MT to NC because this program was said to be one of the best. It is. Our son has traveled to other Insight groups, attended weekend events, found a core group of friends that have become our family. The IOP program is incredible, the culture of friendship and honesty and finding value in themselves is one I cannot explain to the fullest but is simply beautiful. The employee's Matt, Sierra, Steve and Heather are supportive beyond expectation and truly relate to our son and help me as a mom understand what recovery is. On Christmas Eve our son was struggling and Matt and Sierra took every call, every text, and supported our son directly which resulted in an incredible transformation that we see today. Nianna and if I misspelled it, forgive me…. She is a staple here. She is the senior counselor. I believe she’s been there the longest. And when I say she is the bootstraps to this place she literally is the Patience that holds this place together
Has called me at times that I didn’t know different hours of operation, Has waited on me when I was late, Has shown me, Grace. The building itself is old and rundown, and the bathrooms are to be avoided like The plague. There’s a new director there and he seems to be really helping run the place well. I have been coming to this clinic for off and on six years. And throughout that time, I can say they have been more helpful than not. Out of all the clinics in Charlotte, New Seasons has always pulled through

I was in the behavioral health unit at Kings Mountain. It had several issues I would say are consistent with BHUs, but all in all, it was better than many. Cindy, Faith, Unek, and Courtney were great nurses who went above and beyond to provide an exceptional level of care. As far as techs go, Jayden went to the extreme to make everyone feel comfortable and help others. Daisy and Nick were also great. I hate that I didn't write everyone's name down but the night nurse with shorter hair and glasses who got me my IVC paperwork was awesome as well. Steve was another great tech who was very respectful.
You can almost always use the phone and you eat well (I cannot recommend the pork carnitas enough). Jolanda was a great dietician who would complete orders thoroughly and as the patient would like them.
Roberta helped me access my phone to cancel a pending bill. That was invaluable and needed or else my card would have overdrafted during my stay
As far as the doctors go, I have mixed feelings. I have doubts about my diagnosis and I was informed by nurse practitioner Morgan Parrish that she could explain to me how I have my alleged disorder all based off previous doctor's observations. I refused to hear another word from her at that point but she was quick enough to remind me "refusing to talk to her would lengthen my stay" (more or less what she said). I don't believe it did and thank God I didn't.
Doctor Adams and Doctor Shannon were very kind in conversation with me and seemed like they cared about helping me. I have not read their opinions and i'd take them with a grain of salt. I go through some things in my life ordinarily people don't. If you express them to a doctor it can make you seem paranoid. So I did on this visit and i'm unsure if this influenced my treatment or not. My primary gripe is that Dr. Shelby recommended (more or less forced, treatment over objection) a long acting injectable regimen for me. I was already taking the medication orally and continued to for roughly 8 or 9 days of my hospitalization. If he had told me from the beginning he planned on forcing the shot I could've went home sooner if the process were sped up? At least that's the way it seemed to me. I expressed no thoughts of harming myself or others nor exhibited any symptoms of psychosis throughout the entirety of my stay.
If you need help and come of your own accord, I'd say this is a great place to receive treatment. Just know if you're not in a state of crisis, your mental health needs are likely better treated at home.
I was dropped back home by transport rather than the sheriff's department so that was nice
There were others who did good and some not so good I did not mention. I simply don't feel like opening my notebook at this time...
