I have gone to numerous VA Clinics in South Florida and in Blairsville which I hope I will never have to seek care at any of those facilities.

I sent my 16 yr. old son to TRAILS in September 2023 and he graduated 3 months later. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. I’ve been to English Mountain Recovery twice. It is by far the Best recovery program I’ve been to. I’ve been clean 13 months now I Loved it there cause the staff is incredible. The counselor’s are amazing. I had a great experience when I was there, everybody was like family they treated us great like we belong. I would recommend this program to anybody that is struggling and needs help. I really appreciate all the help I got from EMR. Thank you so much.🥰❤️🙏

English mountain is honestly the best rehab I've ever been to. I'm now currently at new hope but I miss my English mountain facilitators soooo much. As well as my therapist, corey. I'm ngl, I wish I was still there instead of new hope because I actually felt like I was getting so much out of the classes and from my therapist. Thomas and corey absolutely deserve pay raises LOL love those dudes. Anyways, thank you so much to everyone there. I just turned 4 months sober a couple days ago and it's all thanks to English mountain, as well as myself.

Overall, it was an excellent experience. Probably the best aspect of Silver Ridge was the helpful staff. Everyone to include the therapists, management, group counselors and chefs were outstanding. I would definitely recommend Silver Ridge to anyone that is struggling with addiction and wants to start a better way of life in recovery.

My daughter was treated for depression. She has had multiple suicide attempts in the past. She came home with hope. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and everyone will not be pleased but I found this facility to be wonderful. The staff is definitely not “incompetent”.

This place has a pleasant atmosphere that facilitates recovery. My daughter's experience at Pasadena Villa was superb! The brilliant views, the healthy food, the fitness equipment, and the musical instruments (used for spontaneous jam sessions) were great! Then combine that with group sessions that encourage healthy healing friendships and practical tools for emotional regulation. One of the best elements was the weekly family counseling sessions (via conference calls or skype) that helped everyone heal. After a few months my child re-accessed hope and self efficacy and is able to participate in life again! I am eternally grateful!

I've been in treatment 14 years. God and Medmark gave me my life back. If you truly want to feel normal again and get your life back on track then I suggest starting treatment ASAP. I have the best councillor anybody could ever have. Sherry Barnes knows me inside and out! The reason I don't go to a clinic closer to me is because of Sherry. You've got to have a councillor that you trust or your treatment could become jeopardized. So if you are ready to get your life back then I suggest Medmark and Sherry Barnes!

I have been going to this treatment center since August. In that amount of time I have seen people heal from opiate addiction to move on to healthier and better lives. I will say that the counselors at this clinic care deeply about each one of the people who walks through the door every day. If you struggle with addiction, I would suggest calling and talking to one of the counselors. Truly they care.

My stay here helped save my life! While the program is rigorous and rules are strict - if you throw yourself fully into the process, you will see results. My children receive services at Avita in Cleveland it's by far the best location in my opinion the front desk staff is always so engaging with my kids and the other staff is so engaging and empathetic my three favorite people in this office is the front desk, nurse, and male counselor. My daughter doesn't see him but he is always quick to check in with her about her day.

This program literally saved my life from a long road of drug and alcohol abuse. I had a rough start due to my inability to accept the true issues associated with addiction. This was in the mid-90s where the Hickey House offered me the last chance to find true recovery. My stay at the hickey house was awesome! A very down to earth and in tune approach to recovery that gave me the chance I desperately needed to rebuild myself in an environment that was both nurturing and structured with strong basis on AA traditions and principles. The house has a great reputation in the local community and is involved in many different surrounding outside AA meetings . The part I liked most about it was the personal and accessible level staff and residents communicate . My comfort level was through the roof ,which in return allowed me to thrive in my recovery . I don't see a better place available for a person to get the tools to get sober and remain sober. I'd most definitely recommend this place to anyone who IS SERIOUS about giving their selves a chance at happiness in sobriety

I don't have firsthand experience with treatment here but I can say this is the only place in Toccoa including the "health department" where people are unashamed to talk about HIV prevention and harm reduction. I also know that the staff here go through a lot standing for what they believe is right including police harassment and intimidation for running a program that is 100 percent legal.

If you’re looking for a Christian-based program, this is one of the best places to consider.
From personal experience, I attended this program back in October 2016 at the age of 20. At that time, I had no direction or discipline in my life. Waypoint Ministry introduced me to both—and so much more.
During the first 30 days of the program, participants go through a “blackout period.” During this time, we weren’t allowed to exercise, as it allowed our bodies to recover from years of drug use and unhealthy lifestyle choices. After 30 days, we were allowed to begin exercising, which was a turning point for me.
It has now been eight years since I graduated from the program. I still stay in contact with the men I attended with, and I cherish the fellowship I experienced there. One of the most impactful parts of the program for me was working in the thrift store. It was a fantastic learning opportunity that taught me soft skills I still use today. Because of that experience, I now enjoy visiting thrift stores and looking for treasures, knowing how much thought and effort goes into sorting donations, stocking the storefront and clothing racks, and even selling items online.
Sadly, I’ve lost a couple of friends over the years because they chose to return to their old lifestyles. However, I’ve also witnessed countless examples of broken men entering the program and leaving as spiritual giants.
Waypoint Ministry opened doors for me to participate in missions trips, youth camps, and even spreading the gospel in prisons. As of 2025, I’m still sober and stay connected with a few people from Waypoint.
If you had told me years ago that my life would turn out this way, I wouldn’t have believed you. If I could sum up this program in one word, it’s love. I came to Waypoint broken and scared, but this place gave me the opportunity to slow down, examine my life and upbringing, and find peace.

Our 22 year old son was ‘failing to launch’ - gaming, marijuana use and generalized anxiety were issues that prevented him from moving into a healthy and successful adult life. The three months that he spent at Momentum provided just the right mixture of support, insight and challenge to help him channel his energies in a positive direction. His therapist, Joe, was compassionate and effective, and helped motivate our son to reach for more than he thought possible. He left Momentum with a very positive attitude about himself and his possibilities. He has just started a ‘transition’ program where he is utilizing the lessons learned at Momentum to carve out his new life. Momentum is a very fine program with a dedicated, caring and skilled staff - we can highly recommend it!
