I have gone to numerous VA Clinics in South Florida and in Blairsville which I hope I will never have to seek care at any of those facilities.

I sent my 16 yr. old son to TRAILS in September 2023 and he graduated 3 months later. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They taught him how to survive and thrive in the woods of North Carolina. They taught him how to express his feelings and needs in a way that is respectful to everyone around him. They helped him learn about himself and brought his self-talk over to the positive side of things. They taught him that "he can do hard things". English mountain is honestly the best rehab I've ever been to. I'm now currently at new hope but I miss my English mountain facilitators soooo much. As well as my therapist, corey. I'm ngl, I wish I was still there instead of new hope because I actually felt like I was getting so much out of the classes and from my therapist. This is a great facility and I feel like it saved my life from alcoholism. This is the first time I feel like I can do this. If you do the work, go to the meetings and take your recovery seriously, you can stay sober. If you stay in your room and do not participate in your recovery, that is in no way a reflection of EMR. Best experience ever and I feel set free as I continue to work on myself.

Starting my recovery at Black Bear was a wonderful decision. The staff worked hard to take good care of us, I can't say enough awesome things about them. They care about what we are going thru and they did a great job weeding out the BS and people not doing the right things. Silver ridge was a fantastic place to go through the recovery process. I have done inpatient treatment once before but this place exceeded my expectations. Beautiful location in the country with a Mountain View. Accommodations are nice especially if you’re are in residential treatment in the main house. Classes are intense and fun at the same time. I really learned a lot about my addiction. Counselors, for the most part, are experienced and knowledgeable with most of them being in recovery themselves. They are very helpful accommodating the needs of clients and setting up after care treatment.
The kitchen serves delicious prepared food everyday and even the kitchen crew are great people.
Would highly recommend this place. The clients were all so friendly and I made some friends for life. Great vibe here.
The only hiccup I had was some issues with insurance and FML leave so you’ll have to stay on top of that but the problems were resolved.

This facility Red Oak recovery center is a unique treatment 👌 facility that gives clients space and time to heal. For me I know I gained a clear understanding of who l was and what I needed to do in order to love opening my eyes every morning. I found that I was ungrateful. I don’t even know where to begin with how amazing Pasadena villa was for me. I did a month in their residential program and a month in their PHP program. When I came to Pasadena villa I was a mess a week off of an eight month alcohol bender where I was a functioning alcoholic. Through being at Pasadena villa Smokey mountain lodge I found myself. Not the person I was before but the best version of me there is. The therapists helped me realize that I am an amazing person. They helped me learn to cope with my PTSD and all of the events that led to it. I now know how to cope with healthy ways instead of substances. The staff as a whole is so amazing and accommodating to each individual’s needs. During my time there I learned so much about myself. I learned that I have a passion for helping others and spreading awareness for mental health. I learned that I want to be a model so that I can make a name for myself to be a mental health advocate. Not just for future people going to Pasadena villa but for anyone in the world that thinks they are alone. The groups are amazing they help so much with whatever you are going through and are trying to recover from. The food is always amazing and the chef’s accommodations to any dietary restrictions whatsoever. Overall Pasadena villa is amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone searching for a place to go.

I have been going to this treatment center since August. In that amount of time I have seen people heal from opiate addiction to move on to healthier and better lives. I will say that the counselors at this clinic care deeply about each one of the people who walks through the door every day. If you struggle with addiction, I would suggest calling and talking to one of the counselors. Truly they care.

Broke down up here in Blairsville on our way home to Marietta. Needed to guest dose for 3 days and they ended up going above and beyond to do what they could to help us. Extremely thankful for this place. The director is definitely a lot more helpful and nice than the director at our home clinic. Definitely recommending them to anyone that needs them in this area. If you’re looking for a Christian-based program, this is one of the best places to consider.
From personal experience, I attended this program back in October 2016 at the age of 20. At that time, I had no direction or discipline in my life. Waypoint Ministry introduced me to both—and so much more.
During the first 30 days of the program, participants go through a “blackout period.” During this time, we weren’t allowed to exercise, as it allowed our bodies to recover from years of drug use and unhealthy lifestyle choices. After 30 days, we were allowed to begin exercising, which was a turning point for me.
It has now been eight years since I graduated from the program. I still stay in contact with the men I attended with, and I cherish the fellowship I experienced there. One of the most impactful parts of the program for me was working in the thrift store. It was a fantastic learning opportunity that taught me soft skills I still use today. Because of that experience, I now enjoy visiting thrift stores and looking for treasures, knowing how much thought and effort goes into sorting donations, stocking the storefront and clothing racks, and even selling items online.
Sadly, I’ve lost a couple of friends over the years because they chose to return to their old lifestyles. However, I’ve also witnessed countless examples of broken men entering the program and leaving as spiritual giants.
Waypoint Ministry opened doors for me to participate in missions trips, youth camps, and even spreading the gospel in prisons. As of 2025, I’m still sober and stay connected with a few people from Waypoint.
If you had told me years ago that my life would turn out this way, I wouldn’t have believed you. If I could sum up this program in one word, it’s love. I came to Waypoint broken and scared, but this place gave me the opportunity to slow down, examine my life and upbringing, and find peace.

My stay at the hickey house was awesome! A very down to earth and in tune approach to recovery that gave me the chance I desperately needed to rebuild myself in an environment that was both nurturing and structured with strong basis on AA traditions and principles. The house has a great reputation in the local community and is involved in many different surrounding outside AA meetings . The part I liked most about it was the personal and accessible level staff and residents communicate . My comfort level was through the roof ,which in return allowed me to thrive in my recovery . I don't see a better place available for a person to get the tools to get sober and remain sober. I'd most definitely recommend this place to anyone who IS SERIOUS about giving their selves a chance at happiness in sobriety

I don't have firsthand experience with treatment here but I can say this is the only place in Toccoa including the "health department" where people are unashamed to talk about HIV prevention and harm reduction. I also know that the staff here go through a lot standing for what they believe is right including police harassment and intimidation for running a program that is 100 percent legal.

Our 22 year old son was ‘failing to launch’ - gaming, marijuana use and generalized anxiety were issues that prevented him from moving into a healthy and successful adult life. The three months that he spent at Momentum provided just the right mixture of support, insight and challenge to help him channel his energies in a positive direction. His therapist, Joe, was compassionate and effective, and helped motivate our son to reach for more than he thought possible. He left Momentum with a very positive attitude about himself and his possibilities. He has just started a ‘transition’ program where he is utilizing the lessons learned at Momentum to carve out his new life. Momentum is a very fine program with a dedicated, caring and skilled staff - we can highly recommend it!

I was very impressed with the quality of care that my son received at Trails Momentum. He was there from May 2023-September 2023. He arrived in a very sad and lost frame of mind. He left with much more self confidence, and a feeling of purpose. His therapist, Joe, was amazing to work with. I would highly recommend Trails.
