I'm so incredibly thankful for the time, effort, and support these people pour out into these children learning to become respectful men. It's not easy to work through mental and emotional trauma. These people are licensed and trained to handle all aspects with dignity and respect. Yes, I was hesitant at first. I researched it in depth and talked with multiple people before we did paper work. I cannot express my gratefulness enough! Mr. Miller is very patient, and all the camp leader I have met. The cook is a super sweet lady and cares for these boys in a way that takes a special heart.

At first glance this place seems like a WWll waste land, but its not. Although the restraints can be questionable at times, they are not abusive. Kids fight back, what can you do? They give you 3 meals a day. However, some of the meals can be questionable, they provide nutrition and some of the meals are actually good. You get a shower everyday. You get school an physical activity. The things staff members ask residents to do are not difficult what so ever. All you have to do is listen. This place teaches you how to have integrity, how to be responsible and how to be accountable with your actions. I see a lot of people saying- "Forced labor, horrible weather conditions". It is not forced, it is prompted then it is up to the kid to do it or not, and if they don't then they get written up. That's how the real world works. You or your son will get a job and their boss will tell them what they need to do. If they don't then they get fired. The weather is the weather, cant do anything about that. This program isn't meant to be fun (although it actually can be fun at times) its meant to be hard and challenging. This was a life changing experience for me and i don't regret a second of time i spent there.

Southeastern Recovery was a place where I could dig deep into myself and find the real me. The staff, technicians, and therapists are extremely versed in this type of care and take the time to assess needs in a professional manner. I would also like to the thank Ashlynn and Chris for my individual care and would not have been successful in my journey.

As a Charlotte resident, I've seen firsthand how Southeastern Recovery Center is transforming lives in our community. Their holistic, individualized approach to addiction treatment is not only effective but also compassionate. With a team that includes individuals in recovery themselves, SERC offers a unique perspective that resonates deeply with clients. Harmony Recovery Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, is a mental health and substance use disorder treatment facility. I was in pretty bad shape and at one of the lowest points in my life, when I decided to reach out to Harmony Recovery Center. I feel that my experience there saved my life and started me on my path toward healing. After contacting HRC, Ms. Denice immediately reached out to me and encouraged me to join the program. Ms. Peggy was very supportive while I was struggling to make the decision to attend Harmony and while I was attending the program, and still continues to be.I was welcomed into the Harmony community by Dr. Laurie, the Clinical Director, and Jasmine, my intake manager, and I immediately felt safe in the warm friendly atmosphere there. I appreciated that the program provided housing, since I was coming from out of town.Of the many counselors and facilitators, I owe a special thank you to Dr. Rob, who encouraged me to stick with the program even though it was tough and who gave me so many insights into my struggles. At one point I was totally ready to take off, and Dr. Rob said, I think you have been running your whole life and you need to push through this. To which I said, Ok, Dr. Rob, I m going to trust you on this one. And I m glad I did. Roxanna was so sweet in having her door open always to provide a little TLC whenever something was troubling me. I think what some of us really needed was to have someone in our corner that we could trust. It is very difficult for me to trust anyone. And Ms. Gail was the amazing leader of many of our group sessions! Everyone loves Ms. Gail.My absolute favorite part of the program was having the opportunity to tell my life story in a small group, where I felt both seen and heard and maybe for the first time in my life, understood. I was also inspired by hearing the other client s life stories and experiences and seeing their strength in having overcome so many obstacles, even before joining Harmony.I was thankful for the behavioral techs, who drove us everywhere and provided so much support and security during the evening and night hours at housing. They were always willing to listen and provide any assistance needed. There were too many wonderful people to list here, but I give a special thanks to Ms. Sharone, Ms. Kay and Kai, who helped pull me through. Many of the staff are in recovery themselves which gives them compassion and empathy for us because they remember being in our shoes at one time and have a great deal of wisdom from their own healing journey.I feel that Harmony is the perfect name for this program. This was my safe haven in the midst of a storm. I loved the diversity there with both the staff and clients. They had people from all over the US, of different backgrounds, ages, and ethnicities. If you re struggling, this is the place to come and there s no time like now to begin.Just a little suggestion, if you decide to come: many of us brought comfort items, like our own blanket, pillow or towels to make us feel a little more at home; hobby or craft items, like drawing, knitting, etc. I like to cook, so I brought a few extra kitchen items.

I have been going to this clinic for several years and we finally have someone in charge who truly cares about the patients, staff and overall environment of the facility. Given the circumstances of this establishment being shorthanded, Ranita (The director) has been amazing with dealing with patients as they get irritated or agitated because of the wait time due to shortage of nurses. She has helped not only myself, but others I know as well to the best of her capabilities which I haven t seen anything she isn t capable of doing. I feel as if she s not given enough credit for the change she s brought since becoming director. Secondly, Lashonda, Kellen, and the doctor have also been amazing. I ve been coming to this clinic for over 3 years now, and I know. Trust me I do It s no secret that This location is NOT without its problems, the extremely high turnover rate for all, including the nurses, doctors and counselors is obviously an issue. And the nurses, counselors and even the last doctor have no shame and giving their thought on why things are how are they are. To really anyone that will listen. But the TWO people that are really keeping this entire clinic afloat is Ranita, and of course the most charismatic, caring and loving Lashonda. (Plus a small hand full of literally maybe 2 or 3 other counselors that continue to stick it out, and show they care)Judging by the rowdy, disrespectful, ignorant and immature crowd that are here literally every mourning complaining about SOMETHING and the verbal beating on the daily that theses folks hand out breaks my heart for them especially here lately since we ve been down to 1 nurse. POH is the shit son! I just completed 28 longgggg days of treatment there in wonderful Lexington, NC. Home of the best BBQ in state! Now, I am a different kind of of breed. I'm one of those troublesome Iraq War veterans that loved his 2 years in combat like no other. My alcolism took off after I left the Army I'm 2010. And I am a lucky one who made it back alive with just s very, very small case of undiagnosed PTSD that I prefer to not discuss unless at the VA. However, combat also made.my anxiety worse. Go ducking figure! I'm 100% service connected so I get free rehab for life all over..... but I burnt so many bridges that the VA finally said then you go do it yourself a d my hard headed ass did with ease. I might come across ass rocky or arrogant. But I'm not. Trust me, I've been in a few gunfight in Diyala Province, Baqubah, Iraq to be specific in 2007, been homeless a few times in the streets, and been hanging out with what people consider the outcasts and other stereotyped groups of people for 15 long hard years of boozing my life away for nothing.... feeling sorry for myself and having pitty parties about what coulda, woulda, shoulda type shit. Bro... let me tell you.... Give POH a try. Go tell them folks Ross sent you there and said try Tommy or Russell at the Mens house. Or Ms. Erica at tbe Woman's house. You don't want that SMOKE! 3 hots and a cot with a GREAT clinical staff and supportive interns as well... Ms. Antonia was my clinician. She was pretty cool. Thought she was always angry or would be hard on me at first. But I was wrong. Quite friendly and helpful. I had fun discussing my difficult life situations . With that I'll close my sarcastic long new review. I'll keep coming back! Lol.

I truly think if you are real with yourself, Path Of Hope is a great place of knowledge and understanding of the concept of addiction. You are going to receive the help that you need if you apply yourself and follow their suggestions. The counselors do not force anything on you, they just simply suggest that you adhere to their guidelines and rules. It is up to the individual to use the help and resources that they provide in order to live a productive life. This program has enabled me to see my life in a more positive way. It has also encouraged me to choose a career in the Recovery field so that I too can share my hope and knowledge with others on their path to recovery. This place changed my life for the better. A great place to receive help with any addiction. It truly has been a Path Of Hope for me.
