If I could give this place a million stars, I would. I have 60 days clean today (in an IOP program now) but I couldn’t have done it without the first 30 days being here. I wanted to give shout out to outstanding staff members here, but I realized the list grew too long and every member of staff was amazing. This isn’t a five star resort, but they have the most caring staff and your care is truly individualized. You don’t go without anything, but it’s not a day spa. It’s not overcrowded, so you don’t feel like just a number. If you truly want to work to recover, this is THE place. I went through this program when I was like 15 I'm 27 now. While I will say this program did not directly lead me to sobriety there was so much I learned here that have stuck with me for life. I've got over 2 years sober now.

My son has been there for nearly 9 months, I have seen a big difference in him. I've seen the meals they are being provided decent food. Reading these other reviews makes me so mad, I see my son on a regular basis I have never been told I can't see him until I have a drug test and background. As far as the staff they are all amazing I have not had any bad encounters with anyone, the counselors are absolutely amazing and everyone cares about the progress and if my son!!

Heads-up: When given a time to appear in-person, make SURE that you’ll be at least 10 min early. If you’re 5 minutes late, it’s considered a no-show, and if it happens twice in a short period, you’re cut. Even if you get there right on time, but it takes awhile to check-in due to how slow the check-in desk runs, even without a line, they may still consider you late and make you reschedule. I see my provider (Robin) mostly over Telehealth so it hasn’t been as much of an issue for me. But she has been one of the most helpful professionals I’ve ever been to, so the services are good, they’re just strict w/ attendance.

Charak Center for Health and Wellness in Medina, Ohio has an amazing, helpful and caring staff who go out of their way to assist both new and existing clients. In addition, my provider Angal, is patient, knowledgeable and compassionate with my needs. I'd been with a therapist in Las Vegas for over 9 years and thought she was top-notch; however, Angal and the Medina office far surpass my prior Nevada experience.

I highly recommend Medina office! They have been SUPER kind to me! And they pick up the phone when you call them! If I could give them 10 stars I would. Thanks, to a great facility caring for their patients

I have been going for almost 5 years now. I do love my therapist Lindsey very much, you guys are very understanding when it comes to me missing appointments. My only complaint is that most of the time when I call, no one answers. Thank you and Lindsey for helping me be a normal person in society and helping me be able to help myself. Never have an issue. When all places runout of meds they have it. I wish they could open more hours.

They have doctors and case management, they are getting my son's mother in and helping her where no one else could for months she's even missed an appointment and they still got her in right away, she is an extreme case, but I've never seen someone go so far to help somebody, and I would recommend them to anybody it reminds me of what the Nord center used to be like 20 years ago.

do not go here if you’re a person of color. and do NOT go here especially if you have an affecting disability. the ABLEISM was absurd to witness and was attempted to be covered up with surface level kindness. i wasn’t even the patient and i could feel how he was treated like a problem rather then a living person. if someone is hard of hearing and you were told multiple times to face him directly (making sure he is also facing you) and speak louder—not at the same LOW volume you were speaking at before, make an actual dumb effort to make sure the individual is able to grasp what you’re saying. it requires patience, you would think someone who went through years of schooling and claims to be experienced, would at least demonstrate basic decency. you are NOT superior because you’re not in a hospital bed fighting for your life. a disability is not—and will never be a flaw, nor is it a nuisance.. speaking at a low volume and then giving a blank stare for over 30 seconds is absolutely inhumane, and then ‘wondering’ why the patient isn’t answering you. DO YOUR JOB AND PROVIDE BASIC RESPECT OR QUIT.

I recently went in the hospital with pneumonia . Somehow I ended up in ICU . When I say everyone took amazing care of me . I’m impressed . The professional and caring is top tier ! I’m still under the care with follow up appointments . And with that I’m still being taken care of now that I’m home . Thank you so much for taking care of me .

I feel much better about my care since switching to the Lorain outpatient clinic, from another NE Ohio clinic. I hate having to drive further for appointments, but my PC has done more for me than my previous doctor, helped me figure out why my back hurts and the gentleman I saw at physical therapy helped my nerve pain less severe and frequent with one visit and simple exercises instead of more medicine. I can't wait to see how much PT can help my middle and lower back as well.

I would like recognition to go to Dr. Ashley Kenzik for her superior work in treating my diabetes. I was taking 3 shots of Novolog and 2 shots of Lantus per day along with a weekly shot of Ozembic. I now take solely one shot of Ozembic per week. And with the Ozembic my weight has gone from 305 to 258. In my opinion, one could not ask for a better physician than Dr. Kenzik. 08/14/25, this is to bring recognition to Dr. Pileski and Norma Thomas. I went to the civilian ER this morning for swelling in my calf and both feet. Doctor said I needed a certain medication asap and sent prescription to civilian pharmacy. Couldn't get hold of them all day. Norma called me to check on my status, and when I informed her of the situation she put in to have that med. shipped overnight. Can always trust the VA.

I have been going to the Lorain VA since roughly 2020 and they have treated me very well and have be concerned with me as a patient. I am grateful for the treatment I have received there.

zero if i could. horrible place. alicia was so triggering for all the adolescents. even told us one day when the nurse wasn’t there that “we are taking the long way to get our steps in” wore “i love diet coke” shirts. HALOTOP was found in the freezer from a staff member. DO NOT GO HERE

The facility reached out to donate materials to my classroom. When going to pick up the materials, the staff helped me load everything into vehicle. The staff was very friendly. I was given a tour of the facility afterwards. Very clean and well maintained.

I think my experience was a lot different than other woman as I've read the reviews so I decided to leave a review to tell my experience. I was in patient in 2013 and at first didn't love it, but realized soon after that I needed it. Rehab isn't supposed to be glamorous it's supposed to be something you remember to never do again. I went there and found a new way of life. I'm thankful for my 2nd chance. They showed me how to live again without the use of drugs or alcohol. They even took me to appointments when they usually have you schedule someone to come get you. I didn't have anyone!! I only had myself and that was hard enough. I thank God this facility is there and was able to help me get clean.

It's a lil janky compared to other options in Lorain county. When it comes to options to be able to being your child you want to choose here over Hitchcock. Staff is pretty cool only one or two are unfriendly. Everyone there wants to just see you succeed. Only getting 4 stars because all of Lorain county is shut down from a snow storm and they think it's a bright idea to pile children into a van to take them to class. It's negligent to only think of money over children. A lot of us don't have a choice to be there when it's open due to housing or other commitments other wise we would definitely keep our children safe at home instead of braving this storm.
