I don t usually write reviews but I was at Alina Lodge for five and a half months. I did the extended guest program and I can honestly say that every part of this program is the reason I will have 10 months of sobriety in a few days. Alina accepted me when I was very resistant to treatment, trying to lock myself in my room for days and refusing to engage in treatment. The staff held such patience and love for me, and when I finally became willing and listened, the message provided to me helped me begin my journey through recovery. (Plus the food is so incredible I won t lie)

Been here more than once sadly, the program and campus are 10/10. Beautiful scenic campus with lots of freedom, and groups that touch anything you may be going through. The only place i would recommend to anyone suffering through this disease. From staff to clients to the facilities, you will not find anything better and another place and team that are 100% on your side fighting with you. Much love always and it's phenomenal if you do have to get help.

It's been a few years since i stayed but time hasnt eraesed the good memories. The place is very nice with a large cobblestone court yard in the the middle. Theres some small water features as well. I will admit that the rooms could use some updating.The folks there were very kind and respectful and the food was always good, its buffet style if I remember correctly. My counselor was great and the nursing staff was freindly. It's coed and they do the classes together but do not mess arounnd with the girls because they will boot you quickly.

Been a patient for a little over a year and it's a pretty good place. I haven't had any problems at all. Even had to go to a different state for a week because of a funeral and received bottles for the entire trip. It's a great place if you have one of the good counselors that actually advocates for their clients.

It's okay. I've been to better clincs. This one has a hard time keeping councilors and things are always chaotic and unorganized. Different rules for different days and also for different people. If your known and friendly with certain people you get treated differently than those who are new or not as outgoing and personable. This place changed my life. I have spent the last 10 years rotating different treatment centers and nothing had a more profound and permanent impact on my recovery than water gap.
From every aspect their treatment and experience is the best in class. A lot of the staff / psychiatrists have experienced addiction or mental health challenges in some capacity and to be supported in my recovery process by others who have REAL, lived experience and aren't just college educated / textbook informed academics trying to cure people of problems and challenges they can't relate to or understand from within is just one component of what makes Watergap so unique and so effective. The staff are not only extremely experienced and knowledgeable, but they have a perspective on recovery and healing that you can share and relate to with them, I think this also contributes to how caring the staff are, they really all take such a personal and deep interest in your recovery vs this just being a way to pay the bills and put their degree to use (which I have seen at many places).
Beyond the staff and recovery approach being incredible and also unique, the grounds are absolutely stunning with world class amenities. The natural beauty surrounding the facility allows your mind and soul to really connect with nature in the healing process and there are also such a wide range of amenities it feels like being at a luxury resort. From a massage/spa room, hiking in the beautiful Poconos mountains, group yoga and meditation, themed dinner nights, a glass sun room for yoga sessions, a beautiful golf course, daily hikes, a swimming pool - there are endless ways at Watergate to stay constantly entertained, distracted, challenged and inspired.

I had surgery on Valentine s Day. What an absolutely amazing visit to St. Lukes. Not only was every single employee and nurse kind, friendly and showed patience with the patients, they were all kind and friendly to one another. WDR was my first and hopefully last rehab. I didn t really know what to expect but I can say this place and everyone who works there are top notch. From the kitchen staff to housekeeping. The nurse and techs cared more about my recovery than I did. They really try to work with you. My case worker Donna was the bomb and even though she was in charge of my case that didn t stop any of the workers from helping me when I needed it. The techs have a story of their own and they really get it. No one was judge mental and they treated everyone like a human being. There isn t one person who worked there that I wish I didn t meet. I honestly wish I could have bought them all home with me. Even the community was awesome. Clients helping clients. I give WDR a 10+ on the rating skill. The director even steps in and got his hands dirty. It s team work at its best. I honestly fought the program the whole time for my own reasons. A week later I m still sober Thanks WDR for believing in me even when I didn t believe in myself you guys made a good impact on me and my family Loves y all more. Holcomb has been a life saver. They actually care about you and what you are going through and they treat you with the upmost respect and are extremely helpful, caring and knowledgeable, they now have 2 Drs who can prescribe medication if needed and I have personally interacted with 4 different therapist and they are all just wonderful and help teach you the tools and coping skills to apply in your everyday routine

This was my first experience with St. Luke s, and I was very impressed. After a bout with the norivirus and a fall at her nursing home in Schuylkill County, My 92-year-old mother was in bad shape with the virus, rhabdo, and pneumonia. This was her 3rd hospital in 24-hours as she needed a trauma center due to possible brain bleed. She arrived the eve of Jan. 9, and the ER doctors and nurses were AMAZING! Mom needed a TON of care, and they provided it with compassion AND explained everything to me in detail, which was very comforting. Eventually, she got a room upstairs, where we experienced the same level of professional care. I am convinced that the professionalism shown to mom over her five days there saved her life and her QUALITY of life. She is doing well! I am very grateful!

I’ve had more than my share of bad experiences with therapy, but the counselor here actually listend and helped my kids. Plus they were really flexible when I needed to change appointment times which happens a lot with me because of my work schedule. They also had telehealth appointments which made scheduling easier. Overall I’d recommend them

Only been here a couple times so far, but place seems decent. Staff are all friendly, and I like that they have cloud cloth's over the lights to make lighting more bearable. It is also close to home, which is nice.

I have been a client of this facility since October 2021 when I came home from inpatient. Pyramid is the foundation to my recovery... I have never felt like I had to stop coming just because I "completed" a program. I actively attend weekly group sessions and biweekly individual sessions with my counselor Jim. He has been a huge advocate for me since taking over my case a year ago. He is honest and patient with me and makes me feel heard. I have been on MAT throughout the entire time and even though it didn't always go my way, they supported me through it all. Dr. Malcuhay has been seeing me for years and makes me feel like she genuinely cares for my well-being. Sacha from Allentown is one of the nurses that has shown me compassion and held me accountable when I was extremely late for an appointment. Alyssa the nurse is prompt and professional, and it's refreshing to actually receive responses to my emails. Kate, Katie, Gage, Towanna have all been wonderful and I look forward to seeing them all. If your insurance is up to date and paid, you will have no issues here. Thank you for helping me find myself again!

I have been going to pyramid for 8 months, I completed my program and I still come once a week for group. Kate is my counselor and our group leader and she is amazing. All the staff is wonderful and very friendly. I have been clean and sober since my first visit 8 months ago. It's a wonder feeling.

Sending people back to jail well listen there coming from jail and it's a reward to get to halfway home early and the staff ain't there to baby anyone there to save ur life if u go back to Jail u deserve it. I was on contact my first day there meeting with girls. But when I figured out I was there to get my life on track find a job support MYSELF BUY MY OWN home and car girls Came second it works if u work it.
