I had hernia repair surgery performed at Highpoint Health-Riverview with Ascension Saint Thomas. Dr. Nancy Barrett performed the procedure & the entire staff was friendly, professional, and made me feel very comfortable. The nurses were all so kind & Patrick (anesthesiologist) ensured me he'd treat me just as he would a family member. Overall I had a very positive experience at Riverview.

Employees at the front are very friendly. Doctors are the best. All tests are on the portal to see. I can't believe anyone is having trouble at this clinic. And most of it is free or at reduced cost on meds. You have to have an IQ higher than room temperature to use the portal.

I highly recommend Cumberland Mental Health as your health care provider for your mental health needs or whatever type of services you're seeking help with. I myself have been a patient of Cumberland Mental Health for quite some time.. years.. I started off going to the Hendersonville location yrs bk when I lived out that way,, which I also have nothing but great things to say about that location as well. I've also been to the Gallatin location. Their staff is amazing!! Always SO fiendly, informative, helpful, & there to greet you with a smile as you walk in... There's nothing worse then going into a Dr.s office (where post people would rather go/be anywhere else but the doctors.. lol) & not being greeted at all, or being given the stare down face that gives the look of the ole "Who are you? Why are you here? What do you want..?!" kinda face... lol!🙃 Ugh that's the worst! No worries for that when you walk into any of the Cumberland Mental Health offices! I can assure you of that!😉 Front desk staff are always so sweet, helpful, & get you checked in in a timely organized fashion.. No chaos, confusion , or waiting to be seen for hours past your appointment time.. I can say in all honesty I've never had to wait longer then 10 to 15mins at the most to be called back. That's a huge deal for us mommy's, working moms (& dads), or all humans in general.. We all have things to do, & places to be.. So sitting in a doctor's office waiting room is never ideal for anyone. At the same time, things do happen & I always understand when a Dr. or therapist is running behind one day or overflowed with patients/appts.. I get it. They're doing their jobs & they're doing it to the best of their ability to help all of us. So for me personally. So to wrap this up... I personally love Cumberland Mental Health & all their staff. Not just my provider... the secatorial ladies, the nurse, the therapist/case workers who never fail to always take a few minutes to tlk with me, ask me if I'm doing well, or if I need anything! Not only in the office, but they call periodically through the month to check up on me and that's so important and kind in my opinion!😉

I have been to several different mental health facilities and this by far is the best. One of the office worker came and personally apologize because everything was taking so long. Which I told them was okay because I understood. Because they are honestly doing their best to get everything done. They have so many task to do and they are handling it very professionally.

I have nothing but good things to say about this operation. The staff is always courteous and kind, very flexible with scheduling, and the case workers really do their jobs by finding you the best care options for your budget, insured or not, which I am not.
When I arrived in TN last year I was technically unemployed and homeless for the most part. They have managed my medications, provided CBT ( cognitive behavioral therapy) bi-weekly, and arranged for UBER/Lyft rides to get me to and from scheduled appointments. I am very grateful for the entire staff and establishment. Thank you for all of your help!

I’m surprised by the low reviews. I’m impressed by this place, they’ve given me full health care over the phone, I personally appreciate I’ve never been required to come into the office. Therapy sessions, med appointments, case management, all over the phone. Prescriptions sent to the pharmacy and refilled via text. It’s been a breeze. Everyone is friendly and makes me feel as though they genuinely care about my well being. I absolutely recommend this place again and again.

Been going since Oct 29, 2020, and am SO thankful they started taking TennCare. That was my last "excuse" I couldn't pay for both(drugs and the weekly fee), so I promised my family when they started taking my insurance I would go. Now, they do start you on a low dose, but it's for your safety and they move you up decently fast. They have gotten so much better in the 4 years I have been going. The staff now is much more caring than when I first started. Without them, I would probably be dead. I have been able to go on several vacations, do things with my family I wasn't able to do while on drugs, and enrolled in college to obtain my Associates Degree in Medical Billing and Coding. I send everyone I can there, and the ones that want to change have thanked me for sending them. If you truly want to get clean, they will help you. It's not easy, it is a process, and you have to put in the work, but BHG will do everything within the laws and statutes to assist you!

I finished my program 22 years ago, so lots has changed with the facilities itself, but the fundamentals of the program remain the same. At first I was like, no way is this for me. But Grayson totally got where I was coming from. The groups were super age-specific and chill. I learned how to set boundaries and say no without feeling weird. They helped me prep to go back to school too. Food was decent and the space felt safe. There is no way I could ever say enough good things about this wonderful ministry! My daughter in law graduated from the program and then chose to stay an additional 6 months as an intern before putting herself back out into this crazy world and has been so lifechanging not only for her but for the people around her. Is it a hard process? YES Are they strict? YES Are they God Centered Absolutely YES. But let me tell you from experience if you are battling addiction that is exactly what you need. The entire time she was there they ministered to her and to all of us as well and still do. They equipped her with the tools and resources to be able to be a fantastic wife and mother and Godly woman. The cost was peanuts compared to other programs that rarely have long term results. The love that is poured into these women is priceless.

This place will always hold a special place in my heart for giving me a second chance at life when I didn't think I was worth one. If you aren't ready to take a program seriously, it will not be an easy time. They're going to show you life how it really is and situations you're going to have to learn to deal with sober. There's no sugarcoating to it. Be ready to put in the work. It's not an easy road by any means but, if you work on it, you'll get everything you need out of the program to cope better with life and make the best choices for yourself.

I wish more doctors embodied his commitment to challenging the misguided practice of patient-driven treatment decisions. If you're seeking validation for a self-diagnosis or unnecessary medication, this isn't the place for you. However, if genuine mental health support and tangible results are what you seek, Dr. Kavur is unparalleled. Personally, after enduring a futile cycle of ineffective medications elsewhere, I am optimistic that the expertise and dedication of Dr. Kavur and his team will soon guide me off this revolving medication merry-go-round.
