I remember getting out of the military about 20 years ago and dealing with delays in scheduling appointments, receiving prescriptions, and a general lack of communication. If there’s ever an issue with a prescription or something I need, a quick message usually gets it taken care of the same day. I’m grateful for the team here and, more importantly, the consistency they provide. I spoke with a very nice lady that explained there services clearly. I've come to the conclusion that that 2 bad reviews were somewhat out of line. I recently moved here and gave them a call on a bad day asking for services. I was greeted with kind and calming voices and some awesome ladies who understood the help I needed. Was treated with much respect and the staff was great the whole time I was there. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants to get out of any addiction. The staff there all truly cared and did their very best to help give me my life back and the only thing I didn’t like was that I couldn’t stay there a little longer because benzo withdrawal is as scary as it gets. I had only been to 1 other treatment center (back in the 90's, it was 12 Step, secular recovery) The way I found S2L was by no doubt God doing for me what I couldn't do for myself. These ladies poured their hearts & souls into my spirit, reminding me of: who I am in Christ & who GOD is & how GOD sees me. I was only able to stay for 2 weeks due to health complications that were beyond S2L's capabilities. But what I can say is, after only 2 weeks, I came home to chaos with family & intense physical pain & I never once wanted to use alcohol or anything else to change the way I felt. The staff there are truly committed to the people they serve & unselfishly go out of their way to lift you up with the Word of God. I've been home for a little over a week now, my dad still hates me & I'm looking for somewhere to live with no clue how things will work out. However, I know Who is in control & I'm not worried about these things. I feel confident in Christ, he's always pursued me & has always provided. The only other things I want to add are: 1. like most all treatment centers there are strict rules to abide by, go in with an open mind. These rules are for your good. 2. My experience at Brentwood Springs was amazing for the most part. I only had problems with one particular nurse who refused to give me medication that the doctor had already ordered, causing me to be in withdrawal for three days from a medication that I had no plans on stopping. Apparently, she had her own personal reasons for not wanting to give me my medication. She felt like I shouldn’t be taking it to begin with??? Once a more experienced nurse came in, though she took care of it and fixed the problem. The entire staff is kind and caring. The medication’s are very customized to each individual. When I felt like I was getting sick they extended my taper to make sure that I was not uncomfortable. The meals are catered or homemade. The kitchen pantry is stocked as well as the refrigerator and freezer. There are plenty of drinks and snacks including juice and fruit. I was able to reach out to my family on a regular basis and was given great advice about aftercare. I would recommend them to anyone seeking help in recovery. Daye 5 months ago I'd give out 10 stars if I could. I checked into to Brentwood Springs Detox without knowing how great it would be. I found them on the internet and pulled the trigger. They drove an hour to pick me up free of charge. Upon checking it they greeted me with an understanding of my situation. This helped put my mind at ease as I was already overwhelmed with stress of checking into a Detox center. They are very attentive of how you're feeling and immediately come up with a game plan for treatment. They are very professional in every aspect with your treatment and are open to you at all times if you are feeling a certain type of way, but at the same time every staff member is super laxed. The nurses are amazing and are available to you 24 hours a day. You can tell that they truly want to help you. I don't feel out of place here. The food is great, the people are great, and the way they have this place set up makes it feel like you are at home. They have tv's with all kinds of apps and cable. The whole place is clean and well kept. The rooms are clean. The meetings they set up are absolutely amazing and have helped me tremendously. They have a beautiful backyard with great views which is crucial to your feeling of well being (at least for me) Cameron is great as well. In the 3 days that I've been here he's given me tons of knowledge and advice and has made sure to check up on me and how I'm feeling. Again, the whole staff truly wants to help you. You can talk to them at all times about anything and they will all completely understand. I would recommend this place to anybody I know that needs help, and hopefully this review will help all of you who are searching the best place to help you and everything you are going through. They are not shy about ordering next level tests and scans. They have been aggressive with care as needed. I also have orthopedic issues from a very active and physical lifestyle over 69 years. Beware - Initial appointments take months. Once past your initial wait for an appointment and assessment the staff does not fool around.
