Not to be antagonistic, but most, if not all of the complaints on here are from people who were asked to leave because they refused to submit to the leadership of HC, or they just left on their own because they were not serious enough about getting TOTALLY clean. My son went through the men’s HC program 2 separate times in Waverly (which is located near McEwen). The 1st time he completed the program, but relapsed later and had to go through the program again. The 2nd time he refused to submit to leadership & was asked to leave. HC leadership is godly & loving. I highly recommend this ministry!!!

Off the needle for 4 years on 6/28!!! Methadone maintanence saved my life! It was my 7th time going to a rehab facility. Soboxone never worked for me and I was terrified of the detox process. Methadone doesn't stop you from having withdrawal symptoms when you first start MAT. But it makes the transition so much easier and keeps you maintained it also controls the cravings.
It's not a super fancy top notch place but it's a good program and Western KY Medical executes it well. This place saved my life and I am eternally grateful!! ♡♡♡

Some will say this is "legal drug pushers" but that couldn't be farther from the truth. This place saved me. You get a weekly counseling session as well as other support. Insurance is taken here and you don't have to worry about looking for illegal stuff or missing work and family because of your addiction. This place works

I loved this place, although at first i was scared for being with complete strangers but we rapidly bonded together and realized we are all connected in our search for recovery. The therapies were super good and i truly disconnected so that i could had time to heal myself and defeat the addiction. Such a great place.

Recently my sister attended a 16 day Onsite Workshop for trauma. She recently lost her adult son, my nephew to suicide. It is difficult to put into words the profound positive effect Onsite has had on my sister. Pryor to going to onsite she was going to therapy and was active in a parent suicide support group. She continued to struggle daily. When I saw my sister after she attended the workshop, "it was as though I was seeing my 12 year old sister for the first time in 40 years".
The care and concern the team showed for me and my sister made a marked impact on our experience.

I came to the ranch after hitting rock bottom in my addiction. I am so thankful I was led to the ranch. I didn't know what to expect walking in the doors, but I was met with open arms. The BHT was kind along with the other men in the house. I lived a life of chaos and deception before entering the ranch. After my 30 days of intensive therapy, it gave me the skills, structure, and knowledge to start working toward a new life one day at a time. The therapists, counselors, psychiatrists, and leadership were most helpful in assisting me in my new found recovery. I have read previous reviews, and quite frankly disagree with most of them. I was in a position where I needed hard truth. I ran from truths throughout my entire addiction and did whatever I wanted to do while creating incredible trauma to those around me. I did not need a "kumbaya" rehab facility. I am most thankful to the people who were courageous and bold enough to speak hard truths into my life and spark change in me!

The Ranch absolutely changed my life. Spero Health has been a vital part of my recovery journey ! I sit back and observe others say they do not believe in MAT (medication assisted therapy) that it's just another substance to get off of and that's really far from the truth ! If I had never found Spero and the medication that I am on I would have done come across a pressed pill since my DOC was opiates I know by now or within the last t years I would have purchased a perk on the street and the odds of me overdosing on fytenol was great and finding Subutex saved my life it saves mother's, father's, someone's son someone's daughter someone that's loved in this world ! Being properly evaluated and treated them stabilized during trauma therapy and when u are ready the tapering off the medication helps get off of the medication and not suffer any withdrawals from the medication ! If u work the program or if you are in ur recovery and doing your recovery the correct way u will have a longer happier thriving and productive life ! Ty to all the former employees and current employees for getting up everyday and loving with you too and doing it with your heart instead of it for just a paycheck!

I wasn’t really sure what to expect with this clinic beings as I was coming from a clinic in Bowling Green, KY that I did not have a very good experience with as far as the staff/competence goes. However, I absolutely love how the staff at this clinic treats me and wants me to succeed. They make sure I have my meds and are very flexible with your schedule/lifestyle. Been going here for about 2 months now and really enjoy it so far. Highly recommend!

The staff is a little underhired for the time, but all were respectful, kind, and tended to my personal needs. Just because you were detoxing or going through a tough time and didn't get everything you wanted does not make the facility ineffective. I trusted and still would trust that staff with my life. They saved my life on several occasions and the patient wants the help they offer then it will actually be effective. And it's terrible to hear people knock down a place full of such compassioned people just because showering might have been uncomfortable and being placed in uncomfortable situations bothered them. If you're there, you're there for help, and beggars cannot be choosers.

Our 13yr old spent a little over a week here recently. He said the staff treated him with respect and were "really cool". I also had a positive experience when speaking with the staff here regarding him. The facility was very well put together. The most important thing for me? They helped the 13yr old quite a bit. They seem to understand and care about what they are doing.

The staff, who is very shorthanded, was caring & understanding and tried to accommodate my needs to the best of their abilities with their limited resources. With the exception of Angel, on the Adult Unit, who was on a power trip and kept bullying & triggering several patients. The group therapy was insightful and I learned how to identify signs of when an episode was coming on and several coping skills to help me regain control of myself & emotions.
They love to feed you, with three hefty meals a day plus two snacks and the food is really good too!
I just wished they would allow you to go outside and walk around in one of the fenced in areas to get some fresh air and help clear your mind. Even in small groups or a couple people at a time would definitely help!

I have never been a patient of Buffalo Valley but I have witnessed many successful cases, I have seen people without hope and full of problems come to this place for help and after completing the programs are new people, It's amazing to see the light of their souls turn on, nobody can force anyone to achieve sobriety, they need to have to the will to be there.

This place is pretty awesome as far as rehabilitation facilities go.
MAT Program handled through free grants. Somewhat supervised by staff.
The administration is what you'd expect from the field. They're human; most of them genuinely interested in seeing clients better themselves in every way. You get what you put in, and a few of them are willing to build lasting relationships that can become the foundation of a new, positive social network should you plan on staying after treatment.
They give you more than enough rope to hang yourself with, that's for sure. If you're looking for babysitters, this isn't the place. This is a program designed to quickly and efficiently get you back on your feet. You keep your cell phone and everything.
I'd recommend it to anyone except individuals literally rendered unable to care for themselves by addiction. Don't know where I'd be without them.

WOW! Happily surprised by the care I have received from the Hopkinsville clinic. DR sat with me for almost an hour. Everyone genuinely cared about me. You hear horror stories about the VA, absolutely not the case here. Everything is annotated online and you can see that they are working in the background for you. I had a great healthcare team when I was active, and this clinic is right there if not a step above.

You will not find a better place to be a patient than this. The staff here is outstanding and will do everything they can to accommodate your needs and get you taken care of. They probably saved my life. Just be up front and honest about everything and let them make it work.
It is the attitude of the staff and the level of comfort I feel when I go there that has made it so easy to continue going and stay on this path. In fact, I enjoy it so much that I continue to go weekly instead of going down to less appointments each month.
The point is if you need a service that they offer here, do yourself a favor and at least come check it out. If you have any questions beforehand, feel free to give me a shout.

I took my son there when he was about 17 or so (he's 23 yrs old now) and they changed his life! He has autism and bipolar manic disorder. He wasn't diagnosed correctly at McKenzie Medical and the Dr here got him on the correct medication. We no longer live in Tennessee but I hope they see this and know he's still doing great (except for the seizures) Thanks for helping my son when no one else had a clue!
I'd like to add that the medicaid in Tennessee is horrible! No dental or vision coverage??? What's up with that?? and finding a good Dr, especially a psychiatrist is a huge task. Glad to be back in Ohio where my son and I both are well taken care of physically and mentally. And we both have dental and vision coverage.

8 used to go there a couple of years ago and had miss baker.. oh man she awesome person...i love her. I recently had to go back to get some understanding in my life and I requested miss baker. ..she just made my situation seen so much lighter years ago. Oak plaines saved my child’s life. Literally. She had so much testing done that primary doctors don’t do. I was a resident at Oak Plains Academy from September 2018 to April 2019. It wasn't perfect when I was there. I mean some staff members did lose a bag of my possessions and never got returned to me, but I had the ability to learn a bunch of stuff I'd never been able to learn from the kind hearts from staff members. And all in all it did shape me into being a better person.
