I spoke with a very nice lady that explained there services clearly. I've come to the conclusion that that 2 bad reviews were somewhat out of line. I recently moved here and gave them a call on a bad day asking for services. I was greeted with kind and calming voices and some awesome ladies who understood the help I needed. Was treated with much respect and the staff was great the whole time I was there. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants to get out of any addiction. The staff there all truly cared and did their very best to help give me my life back and the only thing I didn’t like was that I couldn’t stay there a little longer because benzo withdrawal is as scary as it gets. They did what they could to get me help, change my meds, etc., and I appreciate it. Kimberly Lee 2 months ago People don’t usually consider rehabilitation to be a “pleasurable” experience. We associate rehabilitation with discomfort and moving away from the feeling of pleasure. Because that is what we were seeking through drugs and alcohol; pleasure and comfort. The day I returned home from S2L, someone asked me if my time in recovery had been difficult. My answer was, “It was not nearly as difficult as it probably could have been or should have been. Though there are people who struggle more than others.” After I had some time to really consider that question and my answer, I realized that the reason my experience had seemingly been so easy was because I was finally doing what God was calling me to do. Living a life of surrender to His will. The difficult part for me, was the life I was living before treatment, when I was trying to live my life according to my own will. When we reach a place of desperation where we are willing to surrender all, that is when true healing can take place. The Lord is working through this ministry. They are working in accordance with God’s will. They are saving lives, both physically and more importantly spiritually. I am eternally grateful for this place and for the staff. They want to see people live lives of abundance. It is a beacon set on a hill, where Christ’s light shines. I myself have been a patient of Cumberland Mental Health for quite some time.. years.. I started off going to the Hendersonville location yrs bk when I lived out that way,, which I also have nothing but great things to say about that location as well. I've also been to the Gallatin location. Their staff is amazing!! Always SO fiendly, informative, helpful, & there to greet you with a smile as you walk in... There's nothing worse then going into a Dr.s office (where post people would rather go/be anywhere else but the doctors.. lol) & not being greeted at all, or being given the stare down face that gives the look of the ole "Who are you? Why are you here? What do you want..?!" kinda face... lol!🙃 Ugh that's the worst! No worries for that when you walk into any of the Cumberland Mental Health offices! I can assure you of that!😉 Front desk staff are always so sweet, helpful, & get you checked in in a timely organized fashion.. No chaos, confusion , or waiting to be seen for hours past your appointment time.. I can say in all honesty I've never had to wait longer then 10 to 15mins at the most to be called back. That's a huge deal for us mommy's, working moms (& dads), or all humans in general.. We all have things to do, & places to be.. So sitting in a doctor's office waiting room is never ideal for anyone. At the same time, things do happen & I always understand when a Dr. or therapist is running behind one day or overflowed with patients/appts.. I get it. They're doing their jobs & they're doing it to the best of their ability to help all of us. So for me personally. So to wrap this up... I personally love Cumberland Mental Health & all their staff. Not just my provider... the secatorial ladies, the nurse, the therapist/case workers who never fail to always take a few minutes to tlk with me, ask me if I'm doing well, or if I need anything! Not only in the office, but they call periodically through the month to check up on me and that's so important and kind in my opinion!😉 They're a solid 5 star doctor's office in my book! 😉👍 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Natasha B 5 years ago I have been to several different mental health facilities and this by far is the best. One of the office worker came and personally apologize because everything was taking so long. Which I told them was okay because I understood. Because they are honestly doing their best to get everything done. They have so many task to do and they are handling it very professionally. The staff is always courteous and kind, very flexible with scheduling, and the case workers really do their jobs by finding you the best care options for your budget, insured or not, which I am not. When I arrived in TN last year I was technically unemployed and homeless for the most part. They have managed my medications, provided CBT ( cognitive behavioral therapy) bi-weekly, and arranged for UBER/Lyft rides to get me to and from scheduled appointments. I have contacted everyone even Volunteer Behavioral Health and they said Murfreesboro, I have over ten years of sobriety from street drugs and alcahol and I just think it is a shame that Gallatin Tennessee has no options, I would be willing to pick up patients for appointments or do whatever anyone needs help with, I could visit patients struggling with addiction or mental issues! I know now why not many people get their peer recovery certification now because it is so hard to find volunteering options! I think it is shameful, but at least you offer it in Madison so thank you but it just seems my story and my willingness to help other's could somehow help at the Gallatin location as well! They were there when I needed them. Staff members were awesome, took the time to listen and understand my situation. Dr. M. Slatton, Dr. L. Atkinson, and case manager Grace Reynolds were my doctors, friends, and most of all my rock. My therapist Dr. Slatton was there to help me with my problems and mental health. Always gave the right advice. Dr. Atkinson made sure that my meds were right for me. And case manager Grace Reynolds has made sure that I had everything I needed to get and always asked if there was anything that she can help me with even if it was food transportation. Always had her heart to help me in any of my needs. Overall, my five years experience at this facility which includes staffs and personnel, it was excellent.
