The VA has come a long way. I remember getting out of the military about 20 years ago and dealing with delays in scheduling appointments, receiving prescriptions, and a general lack of communication.
My experience in the past two years since moving here, especially here in Cookeville, is completely different. I’m notified well in advance of appointments, and my specialists and PACT team have been some of the best. If there’s ever an issue with a prescription or something I need, a quick message usually gets it taken care of the same day.
I’m grateful for the team here and, more importantly, the consistency they provide. Veterans deserve good, dependable care, and that has been my experience with the Cookeville VA.

I just talked to this Mental Health facility because I was curious as to why 2 people left 1 Stat reviews and the rest were 5 star reviews. I spoke with a very nice lady that explained there services clearly. I've come to the conclusion that that 2 bad reviews were somewhat out of line.

I've been going to mental health places all my life. Most I've had bad experiences at. I recently moved here and gave them a call on a bad day asking for services. I was greeted with kind and calming voices and some awesome ladies who understood the help I needed. This place has out done all of the places I've been too.

I was transferred here from a somewhat larger hospital specifically for the orthopedic surgeon Dr. Terry, after having an accident and breaking my leg. I was nervous for many reasons, one of which it being a smaller hospital I was concerned about my level of care. Everyone I came in contact with was so nice and caring and truly helpful to me during this awful time. So many people went out of their way to make me comfortable and to make sure I had what I needed. Not just while I was there but after I went home too. I don’t remember everyone’s name but the few I do remember were my 3 nurses, Lila, Jenny, and Lori. They were so sweet and good to me and I loved just having conversations and getting to know them. Even after getting home I received a call and a card from the surgery team just to check and see how I am. Would absolutely go back and also recommend to others.

NP Mallory Ledbetter has managed my meds for years, and she's one the best providers I have ever had. She's thorough, she documents, she remembers details about your life, and care with her is very collaborative. She will absolutely use your input in making treatment decisions. Mallory really knows her stuff, and I recommend her to anyone who is trying to find the right regimen to manage their symptoms.
It's also nice to see a psychiatric provider run like an actual medical office. Vitals are taken every visit, labs are taken regularly, etc. They aren't just prescribing without any baseline understanding of the patient.

Ok ok ok. I am very shocked to see all these bad reviews. My 16 year old daughter had a very difficult time with self harm and depression. We were seeing another mental health facility and went without a therapist for a bit and my daughter took a hand full of pills. I changed her to Generations because I saw how great they were with my client that I take care of. My daughter did a 360 after starting Generations. We absolutely love this place. I am on first name basis with all staff. We LOVE Ms Judy. And now all my kids go and so do I. They are not judgmental and they also stay optimistic and understand that some children fib. Way to go... Mary, Kasey, Katie, Lauren, mallory, crystal, Jessica, judy, Tera, and all other staff. We love u all... and my kids love the candy. Hahaha. See yall tomorrow.

S2L Is a Christ centered recovery center for women. I had only been to 1 other treatment center (back in the 90's, it was 12 Step, secular recovery) The way I found S2L was by no doubt God doing for me what I couldn't do for myself. These ladies poured their hearts & souls into my spirit, reminding me of: who I am in Christ & who GOD is & how GOD sees me. I was only able to stay for 2 weeks due to health complications that were beyond S2L's capabilities. But what I can say is, after only 2 weeks, I came home to chaos with family & intense physical pain & I never once wanted to use alcohol or anything else to change the way I felt. The staff there are truly committed to the people they serve & unselfishly go out of their way to lift you up with the Word of God. I've been home for a little over a week now, my dad still hates me & I'm looking for somewhere to live with no clue how things will work out. However, I know Who is in control & I'm not worried about these things. I feel confident in Christ, he's always pursued me & has always provided.
The only other things I want to add are: 1. like most all treatment centers there are strict rules to abide by, go in with an open mind. These rules are for your good. 2. Be prepared to climb stairs to a lot of the classes & groups.

This place has been so amazing! This was truly a move of God to get here and stay all 6 weeks and to go home not powerless but aware of Holy Spirit in me .. I became the clearest in my mind after a very long time. With all of the leaders there and my coach Emily, I was truly blessed. God is in this place! I would always recommend S2L with the christian standards they have. And the love that everyone shown me was almost unfamiliar after so much turmoil but so so sweet. And to have a sisterhood now that I needed!

I've been seeing a therapist for a long time and she's great! She listens and genuinely cares. The other office staff is super nice and helpful too. I've been in therapy for quite a bit of my teenage and adult life and can honestly say that Adanta has been the best out of all.

They go above and beyond to help anyone who is in need of food or diapers. I'm so amazed by all the extra ways they reach out to help. They've extended their hours in the morning times for the elderly and they've made delivery options available to the homebound. It honestly makes me joyfully cry to think about and if we all helped in ways that these folks have the world would be a much better place.

The best treatment I've received in over 20 years of struggling with mental health issues. Catherine White is so easy to talk to and takes care in her treatment. First time in 22 years I've been genuinely sober and I owe it all to her and finally getting me on the proper medications.

I'm gladly to say that I have had the most and well care with Cheer Mental Health Center. They were there when I needed them. Staff members were awesome, took the time to listen and understand my situation. Dr. M. Slatton, Dr. L. Atkinson, and case manager Grace Reynolds were my doctors, friends, and most of all my rock. My therapist Dr. Slatton was there to help me with my problems and mental health. Always gave the right advice. Dr. Atkinson made sure that my meds were right for me. And case manager Grace Reynolds has made sure that I had everything I needed to get and always asked if there was anything that she can help me with even if it was food transportation. Always had her heart to help me in any of my needs. Overall, my five years experience at this facility which includes staffs and personnel, it was excellent. I would recommend anyone that needs help to them with my eyes closed. Keep up the great work.

We have gone to the Centerstone in Nashville the past 10 yrs then our Dr. Moved away, since coming to centerstone in Gallatin it's been a true blessing. Dr. Nyesha Waters has been wonderful with my children. She listens and ask lots of questions which I truly appreciate. She's patient and leave plenty of room for me to express things about my children and we together come up with the best care for them. I truly appreciate her hearing me as a parent and not just giving her opinion based on books or paper. Every person is different and need different therapy. The ladies in the office were very helpful and caring towards my children. I truly appreciate Centerstone and all they do. I know it can't be easy dealing with all the different personalities, and challenges some people have. Thank you all for all you choose to do. God bless you all!

I put 5 stars because of what you do for people, I am posting this review in attempts of finding volunteering options in Gallatin Tennessee for my peer recovery certification, I now have a chance to do something great with my life, unfortunately I do not have the best transportation and was told the only I mean literally only place I can volunteer is at Centerstone's Madison location! I have contacted everyone even Volunteer Behavioral Health and they said Murfreesboro, I have over ten years of sobriety from street drugs and alcahol and I just think it is a shame that Gallatin Tennessee has no options, I would be willing to pick up patients for appointments or do whatever anyone needs help with, I could visit patients struggling with addiction or mental issues! I know now why not many people get their peer recovery certification now because it is so hard to find volunteering options! I think it is shameful, but at least you offer it in Madison so thank you but it just seems my story and my willingness to help other's could somehow help at the Gallatin location as well!

I highly recommend Cumberland Mental Health as your health care provider for your mental health needs or whatever type of services you're seeking help with. I myself have been a patient of Cumberland Mental Health for quite some time.. years.. I started off going to the Hendersonville location yrs bk when I lived out that way,, which I also have nothing but great things to say about that location as well. I've also been to the Gallatin location. Their staff is amazing!! Always SO fiendly, informative, helpful, & there to greet you with a smile as you walk in... There's nothing worse then going into a Dr.s office (where post people would rather go/be anywhere else but the doctors.. lol) & not being greeted at all, or being given the stare down face that gives the look of the ole "Who are you? Why are you here? What do you want..?!" kinda face... lol!🙃 Ugh that's the worst! No worries for that when you walk into any of the Cumberland Mental Health offices! I can assure you of that!😉 Front desk staff are always so sweet, helpful, & get you checked in in a timely organized fashion.. No chaos, confusion , or waiting to be seen for hours past your appointment time.. I can say in all honesty I've never had to wait longer then 10 to 15mins at the most to be called back. That's a huge deal for us mommy's, working moms (& dads), or all humans in general.. We all have things to do, & places to be.. So sitting in a doctor's office waiting room is never ideal for anyone. At the same time, things do happen & I always understand when a Dr. or therapist is running behind one day or overflowed with patients/appts.. I get it. They're doing their jobs & they're doing it to the best of their ability to help all of us. So for me personally. So to wrap this up... I personally love Cumberland Mental Health & all their staff. Not just my provider... the secatorial ladies, the nurse, the therapist/case workers who never fail to always take a few minutes to tlk with me, ask me if I'm doing well, or if I need anything! Not only in the office, but they call periodically through the month to check up on me and that's so important and kind in my opinion!😉

I have been to several different mental health facilities and this by far is the best. One of the office worker came and personally apologize because everything was taking so long. Which I told them was okay because I understood. Because they are honestly doing their best to get everything done. They have so many task to do and they are handling it very professionally.
