Sanctuary was very beneficial to my recovery process. There were a few standout employees (Candace, Kevin, Desiree, Chiara) who had sincere compassion and care for what I was going through. There was a sense of community there and always someone to talk too, you never felt alone.
The therapy helped me discover my issues , better understand them and deal with them head on. I now have better tools to help me move forward with life more positively. Ultimately, I really learned with this experience - you get out of it what you are willing to put into it.

Sanctuary absolutely changed my life. The Dr here was great. Dr Jennifer Cupp I think it was. I'm not geat with names. She made me feel very comfortable. She took time to address every question or concern I had. I think I actually found a Dr that will listen to me. The staff was friendly and great as well.

Karen, your groups were SO helpful & I learned a lot from you. Kevin, you are a god sent. Julie, Felicia, Sean, Ms. Marie & majority of nursing...the list goes on... ❤️ Thank you guys for keeping me motivated & giving me the strength to not give up. I definitely had my highs and lows but made it through. Pretty facility with a great view. Wish there were a few more activities to do but all in all it was good. I wasn't too fond of corporate coming in and making the terminations they did especially when having so many clients present because it definitely caused us to stress more than we needed to. There's a few other things but it's probably best I don't say them here lol. All in all, I am very grateful for Harmony's help in getting me sober. Thanks guys!

I was released from Federal prison on March 28, 2023 and sent here. I was worried because before being released my husband read the reviews and they weren’t a lot of good ones. Upon arriving the staff was very helpful, the place was very clean, the food was awesome, and my counselor was great. My counselor was John Horton he is awesome and tries to help in anyway he can. He also does the group meetings at Midway and I enjoyed going to them. This place is a good place for people that actually want to change and live a better life.

I was in the intensive outpatient program here and loved my experience. The counselors were wonderful and saved my life. The information I gained in this program, along with the realizations I had within myself, helped me to gain my confidence back and alleviate the mental health issues I was having. I had a terrible experience there and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I was discharged from the PHP and the staff refused to admit me to the inpatient unit. I was taken to another hospital far away. The ER treats patients like animals. I was denied my prescribed meds and the staff lied to me and had a terrible attitude. Do not go there or you will regret it!

The 90 days I spent at Next Step Recovery may very well be the most important decision of my life. Dealing with substance abuse most of my life then achieving sobriety for a decade and then losing it again. I've spent 5 years trying to get back to where I was but just kept failing. In desperation I came to Next Step for 30 days of treatment and later decided to complete a full 90 days of treatment. Next Step is simply different. The program and its environment were perfect for my needs. The staff is incredible and truly care. All their therapists are second to none. The housing environment blew my expectations away with a comfortable home (not a compound) combination of safety and recovery while maintaining many freedoms like going to the gym, grocery shopping and cooking, river rafting, walks through beautiful Asheville. I even got a cool job towards the end. Next Step just offered this incredible treatment program while offering the supported opportunity to to practice normal life with out substance abuse. Not really how I imagined this "treatment". experience would be. No it was ten times better! Most relaxed I've ever been in a long time.
Months later im back home with my family and everything thing is going great! And when things are not great I can handle it using the tools that Next Step gave me.
