They saved my life. Although, They can only save those that want to be saved. The program didn’t work for me until I started working it. I was in the clinic for a year and a half the first time around. I was still using, missed days, I didn’t really care about the program. I just showed up for my dose on the days I couldn’t get straight and that was it. However, When I went back six months ago, I was still using but I was tired of living that life. So, I got up to a stable dose, Stopped using, Started working the program, And I’ve been clean 122 days as of today.
The staff here has been amazing from the very first day I went two years ago. They aren’t judgmental, they’re supportive, and caring. The director is awesome and I love my counselor this time around, Ms. Jewel. If you’re ready to get sober, this is the place to go.
Thank you so much for my second chance at life, Crossroads Treatment Center. I love yall and I’m forever grateful to you.

This place is actually quite good, but I'm not sure if I would recommend it to anyone new if you have other options. At least not right now. I've been going for months and everything was fine and now it's like I see different counselors every time I go.
So I have to keep reiterating my story, specific issues, the supplements I take, etc. over and over again it makes things a little messy. Things have to be a little more consistent for proper assistance.
The turnover rate is bad over there right now which is usually not a good sign. But I don't know what's going on or why. I've probably seen like 7 different counselors now.
The people at the front desk are awesome though and the counselors I have seen numerous times are great, understanding and helpful.
I will update my review in a month or two, hopefully things get better there and stay like that for them.

I used to be in this group home back in my teens. I stayed here from 15 to 18. I promise you back then life was different and if it wasn't for the staff there I wouldn't be here now. When I was there we had Ms. Kilgore, Ms. Mitchell and Ms. Westbrook was in Tucker cottage where I was. Rogers, Marshall and Darden cottages were there then. I still use "easily mislead" or "my inconsideration to others and self" I always have to remind myself of my "easily angered" I use these words today.
There is a flowerbed at the very edge of the main house yard. I started that flowerbed. If the flowerbed is still there I can honestly say that was my flowerbed. Mr. Kocab and Mr. Tate let me do the flowerbed to keep my mind from wandering and getting myself in more trouble. I am not sure what life is like there nowadays but when I was there it was okay. Nobody wants to be away from their families and it is hard to be there when you look at it that way. Yes, I still got in trouble when I got home for a bit. Our family is so very thankful to Gateway and staff. They treated my daughter like family. Instilled independence and also much needed support. Mental health is very hard but they made it just a little bit easier. Much of the staff that is here spend more time with these residents than they do their own families. They are extremely dedicated and love them beyond judgment. Being an adult with some of these problems can be extremely debilitating, but they give them the opportunity to still be independent and supported. I've been going here for 6months and before that I was at the VA. There's a few differences between them both but most of all I can tell the Care. I have had 2 Counselors which is understandable considering the work load they have. Since the begining I have been happy and impressed how easy they made my transferring. I started just where I left off at the VA.The only thing I don't agree with or understand is when getting an increase u have to pick up for 3days before getting ur tak homes. I can understand this policy when u a starting out. But it doesn't make much sense after that. I can also say when there was a problem with my pick up (ther Mistake) my councler fixed and had all my bottles in 30mins. All I can say is If u work the program it works. Thank you

Avalon Recovery House is a sober living facility in Richmond, Virginia. They provide outpatient addiction treatment and sober living for adults. Avalon Recovery provides a warm and structured environment f | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I moved into the Avalon house about 8 months ago. It has really become a home to me. There is a lot of women in one home but we all manage to get along rather well. The Avalon house has been a safe , supportive, clean environment. We operate similar to the Oxford model in that we hold one another accountable. Anastasia is a hands on housing manager but she gives you the room you need to be an adult and make the decisions for your recovery that you feel are right. If you follow the rules, and prove to her that you’re trustworthy then she affords you that trust and she is understanding. I truly believe that Avalon is one of the main reasons that I’ve been successful in my recovery thus far.
It’s imperative in early recovery to surround one’s self with like minded people and Avalon is absolutely a home that you will find the resources you need to grow and thrive into the person you want to be. I absolutely suggest this home to anyone that is willing to put in the work to live a sober life. It’s all about what we put into it that determines what we get out of it.

Avalon is simply the best. The owner, Anastasia, is so genuinely invested in the success of every member in her program. She holds people accountable while also offering grace. She stands her ground on what she believes but also takes the time to truly listen. She's involved, caring, and earnestly invested in the path of recovery for every person she meets.
You won't leave this program without being impacted by what she and avalon has to offer. It develops structure, elevates discipline, and guides people from a state of "is this possible?" to a reality of unfathomable possibilities and complete change.

Virginia is ranked 12th nationwide in terms of addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $56,456.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Virginia vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of the treatment types listed above. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below.
There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Virginia. Most treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Virginia that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here’s the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment in Virginia.
UnitedHealth Group is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Virginia, with 185 treatment centers in the state accepting their insurance. Aetna is the 2nd most popular with 180 treatment centers accepting it followed by Blue Cross Blue Shield in 3rd accepted by 168 drug rehabs.
