During MAT, FDA-approved medications are combined with mental health counseling to assist individuals mentally, emotionally, and physically. Medication-assisted treatment helps people manage cravings and reduces the chance of relapse during treatment. The residential treatment program allows clients to fully focus on their recovery without the dist
I am from California, I spent 3 months at the facility. They definitely over charge you for treatment. Their facilities aren't the best....however there are some people here doing almighty work. One such person is Hakim. He is a counselor here. He is a good man with a good heart, he cares about people. I wish he would transfer to California and be my counselor there. He really helped to see many things in a different way. He's very passionate about his patients and the job he does. I would guess they don't pay him nearly enough for how valuable he is to this facility. I hope to see Hakim again one day. There is also Jay who is often the only nurse in the dispensery. A great guy and always has a kind word. I'll miss these guys very much....they probably have no idea how much what they do impacts people's lives....or maybe they do. Either way folks like them are rare in today world.

This is a response to the last review I see, the lady with a small star on her icon. Methadone is a safe medication, it stops withdrawals from illicit opiates and does not get the person in treatment "high", which allows the patient to get their lives back. Please educate yourself on methadone and methadone treatment centers.

Obviously the people saying "one addiction for another" has very limited understanding of this treatment and addiction. Yes, this treatment can take years. This verses cold turkey/abstaining is night and day with success rates. Or I like to call that the "just pray about it and hope" method. BTW it doesn't work. If it did, nobody would have an addiction. These people complaining are still failing drug test and trying to play the system. Eventually u have to admit defeat and surrender to ur recovery and stop trying to use illegal substances by counting days till ur testing is done or sneaking in urine or basically trying to manipulate ur recovery process. I promise u will get out of recovery what energy u put into it as well . Yes, there are a couple nursed that seem to not get we r patients and we pay thousands of dollars a year to be there and yet they treat us as if we r at the dmv. One is down right rude and doesn't even look at us. She will not speak to us u less ahe has to. We will not miss her when she goes we just really hope she leaves soon.

Our family has been on an incredibly difficult journey seeking sobriety for our son, and finding The Blanchard Institute has made all the difference. From the very beginning, their team has been compassionate, empathetic, and unwaveringly supportive—not just for our son, but for our entire family. 63 days in, we know we still have a long road ahead, but we finally feel like we are not walking it alone. The clinicians and staff are knowledgeable, available when we need them, and truly invested in each person’s recovery. They have helped guide us through some of the hardest days we’ve ever faced with care, patience, and understanding. Knowing they are accredited and committed to high standards of care has given us additional peace of mind during such an uncertain time. We are deeply grateful for everything they’ve done and continue to do. I truly believe they will support us every step of the way to the end of this journey.

Pasadena Villa really helped me. I was not wanting to do group but let me tell you. These sessions are thorough and gives you the space to share with others and learn the curriculum! I feel better, and I think I'm going to be ok. Update.....I'm still ok. The meds prescribed for my condition work hand in hand with the coping skills I've learned from others and through my therapy sessions. One of the BEST decisions I've ever made. ♥️💪🏾

Pasadena Villa has been a huge help in my healing journey and I truly feel that my life is forever changed. I feel so much more secure within myself, so much more confident in my ability to manage difficult emotions, and I feel at peace knowing I am capable of carrying myself into this next chapter with grace, courage, and vulnerability. Carly was truly a life changing presence for me and therapist. Justin has been an incredible support and accountability partner throughout this process. Shawna broke my brain in the most beautiful ways in art therapy and she challenged me to see myself in a different light. Alex helped me find a new love for yoga and mindfulness. These staff members truly care about you and I recommend this to anyone who feels a little lost.

My experience at PV has been life changing. Even at only one week here I learned so many skills on how to regulate my emotions. I was skeptical of the group setting but it actually helps you speak your mind and talk about hard topics that you normally wouldn’t to friends or family. Over my 5 weeks I’ve been treated with nothing but respect and empathy from every employee, my group and especially my therapist Alex who makes me feel seen and heard. I owe my life to Alex who supports me and validates me. Thank you to this program and everyone who helped me change my life.

I can't thank Peggy Lombardo (Alumni Coordinator) enough for saving a family member's life. She befriended "Will" long before he was willing to seek help. He was never alone in life because she checked on him regularly and gently coaxed him into getting the help that he desperately needed. Approximately 7 months after reaching out, Will made the decision to better his life by accepting Peggy's offer of help. Once his decision was made, Peggy instantly started moving mountains to get him the help he needed. She was in daily contact with his family offering her advice, supplying helpful contact information, and even talking him through his fears when they became too great and he wanted to run. As a result of Peggy's unrelenting quest to help Will, he has received a Certificate of Completion from the Midwood Addiction Program where he received counseling, housing, a sense of community, independence, and gradually took control of his life again. A little over a month after graduating, Will has found employment and is ready to start this new healthy chapter in his life. When asked if he ever talks to Peggy anymore, the answer is "yes! she's full of valuable resources.". How do you thank someone who has saved the life of someone you thought was lost forever? There is no repayment plan that could ever be enough for this angel on earth. Peggy will always be our angel. She truly has an amazing gift and we are forever in her debt. XO

Great place! Coming into this I was a little skeptical about being treated well. The staff and therapist took their time with me, to tend to my needs as a new patient. I had some bumps along the way until I met Evie Dillard. She was so helpful to me by giving me extra resources to get ready to exit treatment. I’m talking about food, shelter and even information about great jobs. I started working, got a place to rest my and made great friend for life. Thank you so much, Evie.

Lemme tell you about the housing situation 1st. I read the good reviews and the horrible and the bad kinda concerned me. I can tell you the bad was not only exaggerated but most just someone salty and spreading total BS. There are no rodents and I've never been to a house that had zero bugs not even a fly before I got here, not even my father's house. Ok so these 2 floor some with a upper smoking/ lounge deck are nice nice! 4 bedroom 3 full double sink bathrooms , two with walk-in shower , I bath / shower and a half bath by living room. It's fully stocked with any pans coffee pot anything you need. The staff are some of the nicest ppl and you absolutely get to know them. You are treated pretty much how you treat them. Just be kind! Midwood center was the one I went to and the staff there are always awesome. If you need something just speak up, I've seen ppl come through and expect everyone to be mind readers. I would list everyone I love at Harmony but I'm horrible with names but there are standouts. Christine, Crystn (sik). Byron,Lisa, Miss Gail ( Amber always pushing DBT therapy 😬) Bobby, the tech who's name escapes me that calls everyone "Big Dog) And Lastly but firstly Miss Peggy who is the sweetest person I've ever met and she saved my life just by getting to know me calling my phone to talk to someone else. She had my back and actually drove to Salvation Army and helped me get insurance, talked me into Salvation Army in first place and bought my broke ass two packs of smokes She is absolutely a gift from God and deserves to be the highest paid at Harmony! But I'm betting she would do it for free No fear y'all this place is absolutely what you make it. Buddy Stovall

Clients may bring their spouses and children up to 12 years old. Specialized services are available for justice involved persons.
If you put in the work and do the next right thing this place can save your life. You just have to keep to yourself and stay out of drama. And be patient and ready. The only thing that I disliked was the curfew even if working was 12pm . And not being able to have your own food. Everything else was great.

If you don't want it still give it a try, you'll save your life and the loved ones that will hurt without you! 💯 Jejuan's one of the most caring pharmacists around, the nurses and insurance lady have smiles and patience as long as you're trying!! As far as people bashing couselors... It goes back to the goldden rule.. Treat others as you want to be treated, and if you feel it's unfair speak with the director- because she doesn't play when it comes to care of staff or patients.... This place has had its fair share of up-and-down in the last 10 years. But what I can say, is this, There is a counselor named Keith if you were a seasoned addict and you need genuine counselor, I want you to request Keith. This man has been in my life for 10 years, and as I came back-and-forth between clinics, he always became my counselor again. Never judgmental, Always always rational and you can’t help but to put a smile on your face when you’re around him his aura, It is purple. And I’m telling you right now he is a blessing to this place. The program director is also a counselor that has been there for a while and moved her way up. She is also fair and a sweetheart tells me to have a good morning every day. The financial person that does insurance she will work with you as long as you are doing for yourself and trying to make a better way for yourself they will help you. A lot of these bad reviews from people that are victim, mentality and don’t want to change their paradigm. It starts with the most important part, YOU

Insight is not just a IOP program, it is an incredible, loving, real, and supportive culture of teens and young adults , their families, and staff that have experienced the impact of drugs, alcohol, and mental health. We were in a state of tiredness and felt out of options and then we talked to Steve at Insight who explained that my son needed to experience joy, fun, support and just be a teen, who is now sober. We moved from MT to NC because this program was said to be one of the best. It is. Our son has traveled to other Insight groups, attended weekend events, found a core group of friends that have become our family. The IOP program is incredible, the culture of friendship and honesty and finding value in themselves is one I cannot explain to the fullest but is simply beautiful. The employee's Matt, Sierra, Steve and Heather are supportive beyond expectation and truly relate to our son and help me as a mom understand what recovery is. On Christmas Eve our son was struggling and Matt and Sierra took every call, every text, and supported our son directly which resulted in an incredible transformation that we see today. I can’t say enough great things about Insight. If you feel no one understands and you’re just spinning but desperately want to help your loved one believe me I was there and this is your place!

Truly blessed this program was recommended to us. If you have a teen or young adult who is struggling with loving themselves, connecting to others, finding meaning in life ... and they are using some type of substance to fill the void ... you won't find a better place. This program focuses on healing the child and the family unit. We are stronger, closer, wiser and more equipped to manage all the ups and downs of life thanks to Insight.

This is one of the best hospitals I've ever encountered. The staff defines it's excellence. Not just doing their jobs but doing their job with professionalism and grace. They should all pop out their chests with pride.

I cannot gush enough about the AMAZING experience we had at PMC! From the ED to surgery, to the 4th floor med/surg/telemetry unit. My mom received the most attentive and responsive care from each and every team member we encountered. From patient registration, nurses, CNAs, physicians, administration, patient transport, cafe service, etc...everyone who works here is so kind and friendly. The stressful medical situation my mother was experiencing was turned into a pleasant ride through the Novant medical system. A very special shout out to Nicole C., RN & Dr. Rossitch in the ER, Dr. Kyle Johnson, urology, Forrest P. patient transport, and each and every CNA & RN on the 4th floor telemetry unit. Thank you for the oustanding care! It's not easy work, but you all do it with compassion and enthusiasm! We are forever grateful for your service to patients and families. 🥰

I had an outstanding experience at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center’s Emergency Department. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with genuine compassion and care. I was called back for vitals within about two minutes, and although I briefly returned to the waiting area, I was placed in a room in roughly 20 minutes. I know ER visits don’t always move this quickly, but in my case, the efficiency was remarkable. I was in and out within two hours, which is incredible compared to past experiences I’ve had elsewhere. What truly stood out to me was the kindness of every single staff member I encountered. Each person took a moment to connect with me beyond just my medical needs—whether through a kind comment, a compliment, or a simple personal question. It made the entire experience feel intentional and human. I didn’t feel like just another number; I felt genuinely cared for. The provider, along with the entire team, was extremely gentle, attentive, and reassuring throughout my visit. They also helped move things along quickly in getting me scheduled for surgery, which made a huge difference. I’m incredibly grateful for the level of care I received.

I recently gave birth and had to stay for 5 days and I have nothing but good things to say. All Of my doctors and nurses were nothing short of perfect. I’d specifically like to mention Charity and Michelle in labor and delivery and then Jo in postpartum/ specialty. Not only did they all give me the best medical care but they truly made me feel like I was talking to friends. I will forever be recommending all of my friends to give birth here
