I am from California, I spent 3 months at the facility. They definitely over charge you for treatment. Their facilities aren't the best....however there are some people here doing almighty work. One such person is Hakim. He is a counselor here. He is a good man with a good heart, he cares about people. I wish he would transfer to California and be my counselor there. He really helped to see many things in a different way. He's very passionate about his patients and the job he does. I would guess they don't pay him nearly enough for how valuable he is to this facility. I hope to see Hakim again one day. There is also Jay who is often the only nurse in the dispensery. A great guy and always has a kind word. I'll miss these guys very much....they probably have no idea how much what they do impacts people's lives....or maybe they do. Either way folks like them are rare in today world.

This is a response to the last review I see, the lady with a small star on her icon. Methadone is a safe medication, it stops withdrawals from illicit opiates and does not get the person in treatment "high", which allows the patient to get their lives back. Please educate yourself on methadone and methadone treatment centers.

Obviously the people saying "one addiction for another" has very limited understanding of this treatment and addiction. Yes, this treatment can take years. This verses cold turkey/abstaining is night and day with success rates. Or I like to call that the "just pray about it and hope" method. BTW it doesn't work. If it did, nobody would have an addiction. These people complaining are still failing drug test and trying to play the system. Eventually u have to admit defeat and surrender to ur recovery and stop trying to use illegal substances by counting days till ur testing is done or sneaking in urine or basically trying to manipulate ur recovery process. I promise u will get out of recovery what energy u put into it as well . Yes, there are a couple nursed that seem to not get we r patients and we pay thousands of dollars a year to be there and yet they treat us as if we r at the dmv. One is down right rude and doesn't even look at us. She will not speak to us u less ahe has to. We will not miss her when she goes we just really hope she leaves soon.

I do group meetings over zoom with Mr. Darren Steele. I enjoy my meetings with Mr. Steele and the rest of my group. From when I started with daymark til now our group has grown quite a bit. Mr. Steele is very through in going over the information in the hand out he emails us, and I feel I have learned quite a bit from him and a few of my group members

Saving life's in a great environment

This place is amazing. All of the staff is so sweet and helpful, the nurses are fast and efficient, and you don't just feel like an addict here. They treat you like a person and they really want to help you succeed, never judging you for your past mistakes. I've been to most all clinics in Charlotte, this is by far the best one.

Ophthalmology department is awsome

Dr. Shah is wonderful. He is really thorough and makes sure he asks all the right questions. I feel like he cares about my child and really wants the best for him. He is quick to respond to messages and is just an overall great provider.

Dr. Gellar is the reason I am alive. If you can't get along with him? Then YOU are definitely the problem. Seen him 25 years. I love him. He's PLATINUM in a bed of tin. Best psych practice in Mecklenburg County. Superlative! Nikki, Erica, and Devon RUN the front of the house like a WELL-OILED MACHINE. I was short with Nikki once (bc I am a lil crazy lol) and she took it in stride and accepted my apology. She has NEVER been anything but LOVELY and the other admin as well. I adore them. Erica is an angel and Devon has a gentle sweet spirit and she's always patient with me, even when I am disorganized and unclear, at times. Nikki and Erica too. Also Renita Hopkins is a pro but a doll. I don't mean to exclude anyone. Also, the "office" feels like a nice coffee shop...not "clinicky." It's one floor and easy to park. The environment outside is beautiful. I visited 3 other clinics/practices before EPPG and I had DISMAL experiences. EPPG was an oasis and they ALL work hard to remember that the clientele often have crises, and my overreactions or frantic manner has always been met with understanding and perceptible compassion. I don't know how EPPG can be topped in any aspect. My first psychiatrist committed suicide. Yeah. Dr. Gellar began treating me and he's the SOLE reason that I never took my life. He's guided me through many traumas and I am healthy and able to manage my depression bc of his devotion to excellent care. EPPG IS A MODEL THAT SHOULD BE DUPLICATED BC THEY ARE RARE AND UNSURPASSABLE BUT THEY STRIVE FOR PERFECTION. If you have bad things to say? YOU are most likely the problem, not anyone at EPPG.

I will always be so grateful for Renfrew! I have been to various treatment centers and truly had such a great experience here and owe so much of my recovery to the team here. I spent several long months at Renfrew in PHP & IOP and came such a long way from where I started. No treatment center is perfect - Renfrew can initially seem to have a one size fits all treatment model and in my experience did not find it to be super individualized at first, especially with orthorexia, but if you verbalize that they will do their best to meet you where you’re at! Every single one of the staff while I was there - Kyla, Kasha, Alex, Lindsay, and Judi were all truly wonderful and really did seem to care about me and want to support me. The groups actually have value and I find myself using many of the tools and skills I learned in my day to day life far beyond my time here. It is challenging but it’s meant to challenge your eating disorder. I truly believe my time here saved my life and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking treatment

I spent several long months at Renfrew in PHP & IOP and definitely come such a long way from where I started and am SO grateful for all of the staff and team here for all they have done for me. I came for orthorexia as my outpatient team recommended I step up, then started in IOP here, after a month was told I needed residential for lack of progress. I was able to negotiate a PHP trial first but that still failed and am stepping up to res elsewhere but plan to come back as I step back down! No treatment center is perfect - Renfrew can have a very one size fits all treatment model and in my experience did not find it to be super individualized, but if you verbalize that they will do their best to meet you where you re at! I had to use a lot of self advocacy for any accommodations or when asking for what I needed or explaining what was helpful for me. The staff while I was there were all truly wonderful and really did seem to care about me and want to support me as much as they could. Shoutout to Kyla, Kasha, Alex & Lindsay! I was just told my orthorexia was too severe for PHP and IOP level. But I will say in both of these levels, they do expect a high level of compliance - most of the other people in PHP had stepped down from residential, and in IOP as well the expectation would be 100% meal competition to remain in those levels or they will be quick to step you up to res. There is no kitchen so the lunch and dinners were catered - often Jason's Deli, sandwiches, pizza (Dominos or Mellow Mushroom), burgers, pasta, and they would also have "dessert days" like Oreos, ice cream, etc. Breakfasts in PHP were oatmeal, bagels, yogurt, cereal, waffles and would rotate each day. I struggled immensely with the meals - for someone with orthorexia it was like going from 0-100 and felt impossible, they did not even feel remotely safe or healthy. PHP was basically the exact same as IOP x2, more like a school day. Some of the groups can be very repetitive but others I did really enjoy. As hard as treatment was and continues to be, I truly would not have made the progress I have without the team here and plan to come back stepping down after res! I also made some wonderful everlasting friendships during my time here and became close with both groups I was apart of. The recovery community is so powerful and just have so much gratitude for my time here.

If I could give 100 stars I would do it in a second! This place helped my daughter not only survive, but thrive! We spent some tough months in intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization. Insurance companies should have a better understanding of eating disorders and the needs of those living through them. We were thankful ours gave us what we needed but many cut therapy short. I hope that changes so people truly have the time and help to heal. The staff at The Renfrew center know their stuff and are caring, compassionate, and accessible. Families should be all in to support each other. Renfrew can’t do it all, but working together, true and lasting healing is a beautiful possibility! Thank you from my whole heart!❤️

My son was being denied transportation, by my local Department of Social Services, to a Medicaid covered day program. The worker from Genisis Project was amazing at encouraging DSS to reconsider their previous decision and to hire transportation for my son. I would not have gained access to the services my son needed were it not for Genesis Project. I can't brag enough about the excellent customer service I received. Thank you again, Tracey Luckadoo

Nothing but STRESS dealing with Earle Owens. Theyve got all my forms and FL2 soo messed up. Im nearing the Nov deadline and Alliance just told me he didnt turn my paperwork in. Mr Owens has had it for a week. If you value your sanity, find another place. Im reporting Mr Owens to the correct people. Maybe that will help future victims . Janice Huston

To look at Lepa's resume you can clearly see she's qualified and experienced ten times over. However, what she brings to her practice can only be described as an instinctual proclivity for care. I left CEH with a great experience and left feeling more assured than before I started. My therapist moved to a different state, which stopped my care, but I appreciated every minute of if. The first therapist I had there was completely demeaning to me and kicked me out as her client. She left me remembering the word, "You keep doing what you're doing and I promise you'll be miserable by 40." What a great way to remind you how awful you are... I'm an entrepreneur working long hours and struggling to find positivity in people to share life with. That remark and action spoke for itself but after that, the next therapist who took me under their supervision was fantastic at talking ideas and keeping me socially brave that my business grew 10x and slowly has me on the path to financial freedom. Just have to find the right person for you!

We have a family member who just had a very positive experience at ACE Recovery. It was the right place for him, and we are so very grateful to ACE for offering a program like this. We all feel hopeful now, which didn't seem possible before.

I’ve been to in-patient treatment 9 times; but ACE is in a class of its own. ACE taught me that I am responsible for my own recovery and offered the support and guidance necessary for me to learn how to heal.
