The Ranch is life-changing. It saved my life... twice.
I have been to The Ranch twice this year, spending a total of approximately 90 days there. My first experience was in PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program), which I highly recommend.
Let me be honest: if you show up to groups but don't participate, repeatedly get up and leave, don't complete the homework your therapist assigns, or refuse to actually open up and talk about things during your sessions, then NO, you probably won't get much out of this program.
You have to pour into this program for it to pour back into you.
You can get better. You can heal. You can experience hope, love, peace, and joy again. But a huge part of that depends on what YOU are willing to put into your recovery. The therapists, BHTs, case managers, and other staff members cannot do the work for you. They can guide you, support you, encourage you, and walk alongside you, but ultimately, you have to show up for yourself.
The Ranch TN has some of the best staff, clinicians, and therapists I have ever encountered. You spend a tremendous amount of time in groups and with the BHT staff. These people show up for HOURS every single day to support you. They see you at your best, your worst, and everything in between.
Are you upset? Advocate for yourself. Speak up. Your voice matters.
Kristen, Raeven, Marchetta, and Neyriah are some of the BEST BHT staff at The Ranch. They have hearts of pure GOLD. Let them support you. Let them carry some of the weight when you feel like you can't carry it yourself. They genuinely care.
Now, let's talk about the therapists.
The majority of them (not all, sorry!) are some of the most amazing human beings I have ever had the privilege of meeting. They are truly God-sent. They will fight for you in rooms you're not in. They will advocate for you, listen to you, challenge you, love you, and show up for you time and time again.
Alexandra is the BEST. She runs groups like no other. She will love you, support you, and absolutely put you in your place when you need it. And sometimes, that's exactly what you need.
The experiential team is unmatched. Dan, Tracey, and Clare will support you, encourage you, and walk alongside you throughout your journey.
During my time as a mental health client, Candice was also an amazing therapist who facilitated groups with so much love and compassion.
If you are sitting on the fence about going to The Ranch, GO. I promise you, it can be life-changing. It saved my life, and I will forever be grateful for the people who helped me find my way back to myself.
Do the work. Take your medication. Keep your follow-up appointments. Practice your DBT skills. Use the tools they give you.
Not every day will be sunshine and rainbows. Honestly, most days probably won't be. Recovery is hard. Healing is hard. Facing the things you've spent years avoiding is HARD.
But you will find hope.
And sometimes, when you've lost almost everything, hope is the one thing you need most.
The Ranch gave me that hope. Twice.
I will never be able to adequately put into words what this place and the people there mean to me. Thank you for helping me find a life worth living again. I will carry that gratitude with me forever. ❤️

The Ranch will always hold a very special place in my heart. It’s the people who make it so special—the incredible staff, the brotherhood, and the genuine connections you build along the way.
If you’re looking for a luxury resort with private chefs, massages, and a pool, go to Malibu. But if you’re truly serious about recovery and ready to put in the work, I can’t imagine a better place than The Ranch.
I have nothing but love and gratitude for everyone there. I can honestly say this place saved my life.
And one last thing for corporate leadership: Every single employee at The Ranch deserves a 10% raise across the board. They’re the ones who make this place what it is. Take care of them!

I have been to treatment over 30 times and by far this has been the best experience. These people have accommodated me with all of my needs and trust me I had a lot of needs! lol I have never had the type of love that Freeman gave to me and my wife. They have the best of staff and the types of clientele that were in this facility were awesome also. I made some lifelong connections at this place and really found out a lot about myself. I found out what my triggers were and really dug deep. They are the only place that accepted me and my wife after she called over 40 places. I promise there needs to be a standard for having a couple in a treatment center because it can be done. Not saying anything about "becoming a couple" in a treatment center because I wouldn't recommend that. We were married before we came in. So if you are struggling with addiction and you are married, this is the place to go. They will accommodate the two of you in the most appropriate ways possible. We talk every night about how much we miss the comraderies that we have gained here. If your struggling, reach out to these people because they will help you. IF they can help a guy like me get sober then they can help anyone get sober. I had the absolute best experience here at Freeman Recovery Center, it was by far the absolute best treatment center I have been to. I looked forever to find a place that would take me and my husband. Let me just tell you that was difficult in itself, this place opened up its doors for us and came through in all aspects. We both got some good recovery and we both got some good experience here. The staff was extremely great and the facilities were top notch! I highly recommend them to anyone in search of treatment no matter the level of care! My therapist was awesome and she really helped me manage some of the things I struggled with. Without a doubt pick up the phone if you need help. These people will help you whichever way they can. They helped us with transportation from 3-1/2 hours away and didn't sweat it. If there was an option to add an extra star I would do so. Thank you FRC for all that you have helped me and my spouse with, we love you!

Discovery Place will always hold a special place in my heart. Very comforting place. Top notch Chefs Craig and Zach make downtown style food 3 times a day. Daily spiritual classes, speaker meeting and the guidance is the best in the country. DP for life!!

I received treatment at mirror lake and I had a great experience. The staff and counselors are super helpful and have been through addiction themselves so they can really relate to the clients. My experience at this rehabilitation center has been a positive and life-changing part of my recovery journey. The staff genuinely care about the people they work with and provide the support, guidance, and encouragement needed to begin making meaningful changes. I want to specifically mention Kayla Shenk, Kayla Sharpe, and Casey Campbell for their leadership, mentorship, and, shepherding through an extremely difficult period in my life. I want to mention RS Tony for going above and beyond to make the Apex clients feel comfortable. Also Nurse Caitlyn and Nurse Shelby for taking care of me, and managing all my medications. The Apex Recovery program has helped me gain a better understanding of myself, recognize unhealthy behaviors, and develop healthier ways to cope with life’s challenges.
Recovery is not always easy, but having a supportive environment where I can focus on myself and my future has made a real difference. I have learned the importance of honesty, accountability, and taking things one day at a time. I am grateful for the tools, knowledge, and support I have received here. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is serious about overcoming addiction and building a healthier, happier life in recovery.

My first exposure to the principles of recovery happened at Cumberland Heights in January of 2021 as a resident in the Young Men's Program. While I did not immediately pursue lasting recovery afterwards- I firmly believe the seeds of recovery were planted there.
Cumberland Heights provided a safe space for my freshly 20-year old self to practice vulnerability. The friends I made there are still involved in my life today. Cumberland Heights is the first reference I make to individuals in the greater TN area when they ask about possible in patient treatment centers.

Cumberland Heights was the beginning of change in my life almost a year ago. Big John still checks on me! What a great place with great people! The Music Therapy sessions are top-notch with John McAndrew. The gates coming into the property say “LET GO LET GOD” and I FULLY understand the meaning of it now. Although Id love to say Ive remained sober since leaving CH…I cannot. However, I can say that CH gave me the tools and knowledge necessary to start my journey of recovery. I am almost at 3 months for the first time! I made 89 days and lost it to a simple misunderstanding. Having the right Sponsor is key to success! Much gratitude for everyone that made my experience at CH meaningful.

I was able to attend the white water rafting at Ocoee last month with Cumberland Heights alumni and family... I just wanted to say THANK YOU so much for doing these events that bring clean fun into recovery! I had only ever done the rafting once before 9 years ago and I knew health-wise this would be my last chance to do it once more. I had so much fun, I felt comfortable letting go and relaxing in an awesome lodge with great food and even better people. I think I absolutely LOVED the campfire side meetings the most and getting to let things burn in the fire and then letting them "disappear" from me with the smoke...
Thanks to everyone who was there and who helped make it my 1st but hopefully not my last amazing experience with them! There were I believe like 60 of us, from all different walks of life and all but 3 were "strangers" to me when I got there and family when I left...The employees are some of the most down to earth, hard working yet friendly and recovery driven people I've met in my 9 years since getting clean. That weekend I felt so welcome, included and just part of the family and I'll keep those memories forever! Thank you Cumberbland Heights employees and alumni for an amazing last chance weekend! 💜

Milestones at Onsite is a truly special place. I’ve been to dozens of programs over the years seeking help with my mental health, and Milestones was by far the best experience I’ve had.
From the moment I stepped onto the property, I felt comfortable and welcomed. The staff and the people in the program quickly began to feel like family. Sharing deeply personal and private parts of my life, something that normally does not come easily to me, felt surprisingly natural here. The staff genuinely cares about you and treats you like a person and a friend, rather than simply a patient.
I’ve spent a lot of my life stuffing difficult feelings down and avoiding them. Milestones helped bring those feelings to the surface and gave me a safe, supportive environment to finally work through them instead of continuing to bury them.
I’m incredibly grateful for my experience here and the people I met along the way. Worth every penny, and I would recommend Milestones without hesitation to anyone who is ready to do meaningful work on themselves.

I went to Onsite during the hardest period in my personal life. The process helped me see and work through my attachment style and emotional reactivity. I left with tools, insight and taking responsibility for my side of relationships instead of outsourcing my peace. It helped me see my patterns, more clearly and honestly than before.
It’s not a magic fix, and the pain didn’t simply disappear. But facing it head-on showed me what type of person I am and gave me a real foundation along with life long friendships. I’m still doing the work, and I’m grateful I went even though it came at a great loss.

There are truly no words that can express how grateful I am for everyone at Next Door Recovery Center. When I came through their doors, I was at one of the lowest points in my life. I felt lost, hopeless, and unsure if I could ever become the person I wanted to be. From day one, the staff treated me with compassion, dignity, and unconditional support. They never judged me for my past—they believed in my future.
Every counselor, nurse, and staff member genuinely cares about the people they help. They don't see you as another patient; they see you as a person who deserves a second chance. Their encouragement, patience, and commitment gave me the strength to keep fighting, even on the days I wanted to give up.

Called Journey pure at my lowest point in life and from the first day I called they helped me put myself back together, from therapy to medication to help myself stay sober. The entire staff from the lady answering the call on intake to the doctors and therapists, they all have your best interest in mind and are there to help and MAKE SURE you improve your quality of life with sobriety. Tim Byrum has been the greatest therapist anyone could ask for. I highly recommend him as a Therapist and Journey pure as a facility. I never thought i'd be at 31 days sober but here I am and IM PROUD OF IT!

The group therapist Tim Byrum is hands down the best group therapist this facility has. He goes above and beyond for the people in the group and I truly felt connected with the group and Tim when attending his group. I’ve tried other therapist at Journey pure but there wasn’t a lot of involvement with others and the connection and trust wasn’t there like it was with Tim. Journey pure has a true asset having Tim and other therapist there could really learn a lot from Tim. Groups with Tim felt like family lots of involvement you never felt alone and he really taught me a lot and made things easy to understand more so taught me to take a step back and look at the bigger picture and the knowledge I learned in just the few days I was in his group I will carry with me in this long journey of sobriety thank you Tim for everything!!
