Not to be antagonistic, but most, if not all of the complaints on here are from people who were asked to leave because they refused to submit to the leadership of HC, or they just left on their own because they were not serious enough about getting TOTALLY clean. My son went through the men s HC program 2 separate times in Waverly (which is located near McEwen). The 1st time he completed the program, but relapsed later and had to go through the program again. The 2nd time he refused to submit to leadership & was asked to leave. HC leadership is godly & loving. I highly recommend this ministry!!!

I attended Mirror Lake during aug-sept of 24. The place was pretty awesome. The staff was amazing. I can truly say that I never had a single issue with a single staff member. While I was attending there was a change in leadership. Let me tell you, it was a great move. The (boss man) you know who you are.....was great. He was out and about amongst us clients. He wanted to know what could be done to make our stay better. If it was possible he made it happened. He never told a lie, or exaggerated the truth. He also never just told you what you wanted to hear, just to get you out of the way. He was straight forward. I respect that in leadership. Ok. Now that we have that covered. I must say that the only thing that I did dislike...was having to be locked out of the cabins all day. I understand that we are there for recovery. Unfortunately, everyone does not rehabilitate the same way. That is an issue that may need to be addressed. Other than that one issue, this place is definitely a spot to chose for your or you loved ones recovery. Before I go, I have to mention the art class. The best 2 days of the week. Freeman recovery has been a God sent to my family. My husband is currently there and is now in IOP and I can truly from the bottom of my heart say thank you. He has been to many facilities and this has been the best one, there is such a difference we see in him. He has truly worked the program and loves himself again. I started freeman August 2022 and stayed with them for 8 months! I am a family interventionist and have been in recovery for over 16 years. Although Hope center ministries has had some growing pains their core is true service. I have seen men facing unbearable situations go through Hope center and come out productive members in the community and not return to incarceration or addiction.

Only place in this part of the country that could help me. Had to come from over 200mi away because everywhere else had "doctors" in their early 20s that shouldn't even be allowed to practice at a rinky-dink medicine wagon show. If you're an especially stupid kind of addict like me, that uses substances too new for street names then you need to be aware that CH is one of maybe 3 places in the country that does actual research on addiction & novel substances of abuse. So they can and will do everything that is medically legal - regardless of bulls*** protocols - to properly detox YOU & save your life. In addition to the medical staff, the counselors, CAs, therapists and other staff were all wonderful. Special shout-outs to Natalie , Ed, Eddy, big John, Amanda, Deana, Jack (happy retirement!), Dr. Z, Dr. Sledge, so many others. Patient-staff ratio felt like 4:1 though it's probably not quite that high. Small-group or 1-on-1 therapy sessions almost every day. You can call family every day once detoxed, and might be able to have a visitation. You also get an hour with your mobile phone every 2-3 days. They hand you a tablet for appts/notes that also allows access to YT, being able to play music on headphones was a big deal for me.It's an expensive place, especially if your insurance is trash but it's worth every penny. First time I was here I stayed clean 11 years, second time they helped me pinpoint exactly where I screwed up and now I know how to stay clean the rest of my life.

The staff here are amazing! The depth of recovery knowledge and length of sobriety were life saving. So many loving people in one center made me feel incredibly supported. One of the best experiences I had was at Samaritan. Mr. Tim was director then and the staff was like family and the counselor were understanding and very helpful to your needs. The new building looks like things have improved I just hope they don't take away the lil park and the gazebo. I touched and prayed and sang with and for alot of people in that Peace Park.

I completed the 28 day program offered by Samaritan Recovery Jan 16, 2025.It is my 3rd treatment experience since 2002.I cannot say enough to express my gratitude for Samaritan but I am going try. First, they accepted me and others without insurance and at no cost to me. That s a minor miracle in today s world. I am 55 and Clients ages during my stay ranged in age 19-60. A good mix which created a unique environment. We had 12 step meetings each night on site and coffee each morning. All required to finish steps 1.2.3 before completing program.The staff was excellent!! Low tolerance for unhealthy behaviors and held us accountable without being unnecessarily authoritative.Then intake process was easy and admin staff was polite, knowledgeable and professional.The Samaritan facility/building is new, clean and first class. I does not resemble any nonprofit inpatient treatment center nor operate like any I ve ever seen.I received Individual counseling, valuable and interesting small group sessions facilitated daily by a designated counselor who cared. In speaking with other clients over 28 days I do not hear any complaint about their counselors either. They all also facilitate large group sessions in afternoon and I can say they were excellent and also showed that they cared about us and our growth and recovery .The food service/chef/cafeteria fed 35-43 clients 3 meals each day. All meals were very good, well balanced and of wide variety which was also a very pleasant surprise.The groups that were facilitated in afternoons were well designed, specific to and for people in early recovery and tooicsRelated to addiction and co occurring disorders. All facilitators were licensed professionals and 95% of staff is in recovery with long term success, decades of experience.Samaritan also has daily , morning meditation for all clients who wish to engage.It s proven to help those with addictions and co occurring disorders so I was very happy they facilitate daily meditation. A few minutes each day changed each day for the positive for me .The recovery, behavioral Technical support staff that managed clients needs was 24/7.All of them were actively in recovery themselves so they understood us. I believe all tech, support staff had close to or more than 10 years sobriety.They were patient, attentive and knowledgeable. Very Respectful and cared about the clients needs. That says a lot given fact that 40 people, all of whom were in Early recovery. Me included, Clients can be very hard to manage, and that s an understatement. Support staff was truly the glue that held us together.Samaritan also has fullTime clinical staff on site and Although I didn t have a lot of clinical needs I will say that clinical director director, medical physician and all nursing staff were very attentive on a daily basis for clients who required medications, check ups or medical requests. Again excellent staff. Very qualified and steady.Personally and without hesitation I can say that I had a great experience ant Samaritan.I came in shattered and broken and I left 28 days later hopeful, renewed and optimistic. I highly recommend this facility and their 28 day program. I had a great counselor and amazing head rt lady's. Not to mention the front desk lady's. But I'm sensing a change with this new building it seems there more worried about there numbers being up than true recovery I guess that happens when the head people that don't even talk or come by to see the people in recovery run things. They seem more focused on painting a pretty picture in there numbers rather than that authentic spirit you could feel in the old samaritan. And if that is what is really transpiring than what a loss and such a disappointment. Greed kills the soul!

I went to the next door in may 2023 if i could write a book about my recovery journey. God and the staff at next door saved this old lady life. I love you all but My case manager. Destiny My provider Emily My nurse stephaine. And all the ladies there was awesome to me I am back doing php and jen and the other ladies are great to. I would recomemd this place to anyone thats ready to change. The live in program is 28 days but if your ready for a new way of life it is a awesome start. I absolutely love them

I took a loved one here for detox, and an extended stay. The staff (while following all legal procedures) treated my family member with respect and empathy. Dr. Rothschild is the psychologist that first treated me and got me my 100% VA rating for ptsd, depression and anxiety. She is very good at her job, attentive, caring and understanding. I would say I would highly recommend her, but from my understanding she has now gone into more specialized sleep disorders medicine.

Called Journey pure at my lowest point in life and from the first day I called they helped me put myself back together, from therapy to medication to help myself stay sober. The entire staff from the lady answering the call on intake to the doctors and therapists, they all have your best interest in mind and are there to help and MAKE SURE you improve your quality of life with sobriety. Tim Byrum has been the greatest therapist anyone could ask for. I highly recommend him as a Therapist and Journey pure as a facility. I never thought i'd be at 31 days sober but here I am and IM PROUD OF IT!

The group therapist Tim Byrum is hands down the best group therapist this facility has. He goes above and beyond for the people in the group and I truly felt connected with the group and Tim when attending his group. I ve tried other therapist at Journey pure but there wasn t a lot of involvement with others and the connection and trust wasn t there like it was with Tim. Journey pure has a true asset having Tim and other therapist there could really learn a lot from Tim. Groups with Tim felt like family lots of involvement you never felt alone and he really taught me a lot and made things easy to understand more so taught me to take a step back and look at the bigger picture and the knowledge I learned in just the few days I was in his group I will carry with me in this long journey of sobriety thank you Tim for everything!!

I did my IOP at Foundations Nashville after leaving Black Bear Lodge. The transition was seamless. Even though we did IOP through ZOOM it was a GREAT experience. I had wonderful therapists: Lauren, Lyndee, and Dr. Dan! They offer lots of resources and the community and connection in the room and between the group members worked well despite the fact we were online.I highly recommend Foundations Nashville. I have dual diagnosis of addictions and depression and I came out of IOP much better than I came in and with the tools I need to continue my life long journey of recovery and discovery.Thanks again FRN IOP. I have been there twice wants to get a EMG for my nerves the second to see the neurologist. Got there an hour early after making a 2-hour trip. And I was told that the window by the receptionist that the doctor had emergency surgery and that would be a few hours late I explained to him that I had drove 2 hours to get there I was an hour early could they not help me some way. The receptionist went to the nurse the nurse talked to me the nurse took me to the resident Doctor who had spoke to previously and he addressed my issues prescribed me some medications and told me my primary doctor would have to prescribe them. He sent that to the primary care doctor after 2 weeks of running around talking to the nurse the nurse the doctor or whatever I don't think I still had a prescription wrote yet I'm absolutely upset that I had to wait this long being in pain for 5 weeks I've had one procedure at the pain management in community care and I got another one tomorrow the 10th of November I hope to get some relief. Again let me get back to the Nashville VA I went down the patient advocate and highly recommended that everyone that I was talking to that morning be recognized for the outstanding abilities I even advised the patient advocate he should get something while at the same time saying that I had went to the Murfreesboro VA emergency room urgent care and while there the nurse did not do his job and told him today and they know the day that I was there to go back and look at the video camera that was in the room and see what he did in order so that the 80 year old people will not get abused.

I don't know how to describe the transformation that occurred to me while at Rolling Hills but I'll try. I've never been in an environment with people who could help me transmute my anger into service to others but Rolling Hills did it. They have some of the most incredible people there, both the staff and the other people who went through the program with me. i went here for impatient for about a week, now i'm in their outpatient program now. i found it very helpful and most of the staff is very caring and genuinely want to help you. i wish i had a little more time with the psychiatrist while inpatient, but i understand they have tons of patients to see, and with the little time i had with the doctor, he did really care and figured out my diagnosis. the food was decent, i have a vegan diet and there wasn t too much for me but they tried to accommodate for me. in Inpatient they have group sessions that are either educational or just fun, most of them i enjoyed and found helpful. they also have a little yard so we did get to spend some time outside which was nice, made me not feel as trapped.their Outpatient Program has been very helpful with tons of different group topic and informational handouts so you can go home and keep working on your healing journey yourself. and they continue to help with medication management and help you find therapists, psychiatrists, and groups outside for once you leave.overall i had a good experience and would highly recommend this for treatment if you re looking for yourself or loved ones!
