Dr. Toombs and all the staff at the Midlothian Brightview location are very welcoming, professional, and helpful. Even though there is a location 3 miles from my home in Prince George, I continue to travel the 30 minute ride to the Midlothian location. I am sure they are just as good, but I have to go where I feel most welcomed, helped, and comfortable.

One of the best clinics I have been to in the area. They have gone through some recent changes and it has made it even better. Probably one of the nicest and most compassionate staffs I have worked with. When they say they will do everything to meet you were you are at they mean it. They all treat you with dignity and respect, and not as a number. I’ve been to other clinics, and I can truly say Applegate is the best. If you are debating starting treatment I highly recommend you check them out!

Went today for the first time and I could not have asked for a better experience! The entire staff was amazing! I was completely comfortable, they took care of literally everything, the process was super smooth and the staff-again, I just can’t say how caring and welcoming they were. They made me feel right at home. 10/10. You won’t regret going here!

I’ve been visiting this practice for years and cannot speak highly enough about their service. The staff is expedient, accommodating, knowledgeable, friendly, compassionate, and kind. Rescheduling is always easy, and they are more than happy to work with you if you’re running a bit late. Through sublocade I have been able to regain confidence, security, and stability in my life, making me feel whole for the first time since childhood. I can’t encourage those in need of and ready for help to contact the Coleman Institute (AppleGate Recovery) enough.

I love, love and love the team at Spero Health! Life Changing in all of the best of ways. They know you by name, your needs and goals. The Director, Nurse/Scheduler, Community Coordinator, Doctor and Therapist are all great. I have been able to manage my recovery stress free. They provide daily check-ins and you feel the care. If there are any questions I have outside of the rim of services provided, the information and directions are given to you. My appointments are executed effortlessly with them knowing my schedule and conflicts they may arise. I have been with other clinics before and it did not feel like home. With this company it feels like home and family. The Doctor is adjust successfully without force, He actually listens. Therapy is without judgment and I leave with so much motivation, eagerness to be better in my personal life and all around. I’ve found a new ways to think and feel. Awe man.. I have over 3 years in recovery and through some of my most difficult times, Spero has been my saving grace. Alva K (counselor) and Val J (nurse practitioner) have been the BIGGEST blessings to my life. I’ve attended several IOPs in the past and have been successful but Spero Petersburg has given me the tools I was lacking. Alva provides the BEST groups and one on ones I have ever been apart of in my 19 years of addiction. She is by far, one of the most talented and truly inspiring women I have had the pleasure of knowing. To be able to know her is a blessing. Val is a beautiful soul who continues to seek knowledge of addiction treatment daily. She will take care of you like no other doctor will ever try. You will feel entirely embraced in love and understanding as long as you are there for the RIGHT reasons. I have to agree with some past reviews, there have been lots of changes but our new case manager, Amber, is amazing. She will help you with ANYTHING you want to conquer (jobs, social services, training) Toya is also someone I can not say enough good things about. If you have a problem with medicine or appointments, she responds in good timing and truly cares. She will work with whatever issues you have going on or that pop up, no worries, Toyas got your back! Today was my first visit and it was a pleasant one. Autumn and Christine were very polite and helpful. I enjoyed a nice cup of coffee while filling out my paperwork. Then talked with Autumn and Christine so they could give me a urine screen and then check my vitals before visiting with the computer screen for a few minutes waiting for Dr. Sheri to get to me. The computer freezing up while talking with the doctor was the only thing that didn't run smoothly as far as I could tell. That in itself is pretty amazing considering they were not using their normal offices and reception area due to busted pipes in the rooms above them. I really appreciate that they remained patient, polite and funny while obviously working in a busy stressful situation. Thanks again Autumn, Christine and Dr. Sheri.

We are not bad people just as cancer is a disease so is addiction! I was never warned by my doctor that the medication he was given me would turn my life upside down and when it did my doctor cut me loose. Coming from a family with addiction problems I then knew I had to get help. This treatment center is great compared to others! They help you with EVERYTHING from your addiction to your transportation needs. Be prepared for friends and family to turn their back on you because it will happen. Narrow minded people think this isn’t getting help it’s replacing on addiction with another. If that’s the case then almost everyone in the world are addicts. If you get the flu and take medication for it same thing, you get poison ivy you get medicine for it same thing. Yes I know it’s not 100% exact but hopefully some of you get my point here! Please stop knocking us down when we are doing everything we can to fix the problem. I promise you if you take treatment seriously and friends and family support you and even get involved in your treatment you will find yourself again. You will be a better, stronger and caring person!!!!

This clinic has their duck's in a row and some of the friendliest and most helpful ppl I've ever met in my lifetime. I've been coming here a while now and I can honestly say this program saved my life and gave me back my life and if you've ever been there addiction changes you Thanks to all the help and support from the staff here FCCR shout out to Austin and Caitlin thanks for all your help. Bottom line I've been clean 6 years now I wanted for myself it was hard and I fought every day at first but it was time to leave the party and I did it I couldn't have done it without FCCR God bless you all ...... And everyone be nice to the staff they work hard and drug addicts as a group are not the easiest of people to deal with

An excellent house to go if you're in need of mental health care. Unlike going to a hospital psyche ward, where the nurses are just waiting for their shift to end and the doctor talks to you quickly and writes some prescriptions and rushes you out to see the next patient, the entire staff focuses on you. From the doctor, to the counselors and even the cooking staff, they focus on every patient as an individual and get deeply involved in your case. A very warm, cozy, welcoming environment, nice rooms and bathrooms, and excellent food. It's like a second home you can collect yourself and gather your thoughts and prepare for the outside world again. I highly recommend.

A real life saver. I have PTSD, amongst other things, and the folks here helped me learn how to survive with it. One staff member helped me through one of the worst flashbacks I have ever suffered. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, there is no shame in letting someone save you.

The house that is associated with this property is a great place to go if you're in need of emergency mental health care and assistance from substance abuse. They do not offer detox specifically but if you're doing a detox, they are able to support with their varied staff of psychiatrists, PRN, nurses, and psychologists as well as peer support specialists. I wouldn't have made it to today as psychologically intact as I am without them! My issues were: they cannot always accommodate a vegetarian or vegan diet & the nightly bed checks require some disturbance if you're a light sleeper. They offer ear plugs but you may want to bring a sleep mask to get your best rest. They are genuinely caring people and I highly recommend!

Crossroads was my truly life savior....if it wasn't for them I don't think I would be here today....it is a very nice clean place to go....there has been a lot of change over so far as counselors but it hasn't hurt me...I'm very please with Crossroads....I have even brought several people in for help....I don't know how they are doing now tho because I get take homes of 27 now so I stay to myself...Great place to go for help.....

I came to Crossroads in October 2017. I was lost and needed a strong foundation on which to plant my feet in recovery. I found that at Crossroads. I have always felt respected and hopeful with my treatment here. Crossroads has stood by me in my recovery through many trials and tribulations and I’m very thankful! There are some wonderful people here, my counselor Antionette is awesome and checks on me periodically throughout the time I’m not at the Clinic. The nurse’s are great about with helping me in any way that they can! Crossroads is a great place if you’re ready to start the path to recovery!!!! I have taken several program participants to various medical and mental health appointments over the years both in Virginia and in Maryland and was hands down super impressed with the staff at the CSB juvenile, adult, and emergency services. There was quite a wait for emergency services but each department communicated with each other and was so polite. Brian Stewart is one of the few names that we caught but he was phenomenal. The staff checked on us, fed us, and gave us blankets. We saw them touching base with some individuals who were clearly in crisis and they were just so patient and caring. Dr. Smith was our emergency services doc and I wish he could see people regularly because he was funny and he made my program participant feel heard. I have been with an individual to the primary care as well and enjoyed the collaboration with DO Pristell.
