| Samaritan Recovery Community is a nonprofit agency that provides treatment addiction recovery services for adults in Nashville, Tennessee. Their services are comprehensive, community driven, and affordable to support men and women with limited financial means. Available programs include residential treatment, outpatient programs, and aftercare supp | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I graduated from the old facility many years ago and everything Mrs.Christy and other staff taught me, goes with me daily and gives me the tools to stay sober 1 more day. I was homeless, hopeless, broken and not a penny to my name. Samaritan sponsored me without question and gave me the tools to have a fighting chance. I had some relapses along the way, but everything the leaders at Samaritan taught me,the 12 steps, to not give up, to get up and try agin still resonates in me today. I have 3 1/2 years sober now. If you want to change, really want change and are willing to do anything to make that happen, Samaritan is a great place to begin your new journey. The food is amazing as well. Mrs. Angelia and cooking staff are top notch. The spread daily is over the top and delicious. The opposite of what I ate on the streets, if I ate at all. Good people, good places, helped save my life.

One of the best experiences I had was at Samaritan. Mr. Tim was director then and the staff was like family and the counselor were understanding and very helpful to your needs. The new building looks like things have improved I just hope they don't take away the lil park and the gazebo. I touched and prayed and sang with and for alot of people in that Peace Park.

I completed the 28 day program offered by Samaritan Recovery Jan 16, 2025.
It is my 3rd treatment experience since 2002.
I cannot say enough to express my gratitude for Samaritan but I am going try. First, they accepted me and others without insurance and at no cost to me. That’s a minor miracle in today’s world. I am 55 and Clients ages during my stay ranged in age 19-60. A good mix which created a unique environment. We had 12 step meetings each night on site and coffee each morning. All required to finish steps 1.2.3 before completing program.
The staff was excellent!! Low tolerance for unhealthy behaviors and held us accountable without being unnecessarily authoritative.
Then intake process was easy and admin staff was polite, knowledgeable and professional.
The Samaritan facility/building is new, clean and first class. I does not resemble any nonprofit inpatient treatment center nor operate like any I’ve ever seen.
I received Individual counseling, valuable and interesting small group sessions facilitated daily by a designated counselor who cared. In speaking with other clients over 28 days I do not hear any complaint about their counselors either. They all also facilitate large group sessions in afternoon and I can say they were excellent and also showed that they cared about us and our growth and recovery .
The food service/chef/cafeteria fed 35-43 clients 3 meals each day. All meals were very good, well balanced and of wide variety which was also a very pleasant surprise.
The groups that were facilitated in afternoons were well designed, specific to and for people in early recovery and tooics
Related to addiction and co occurring disorders. All facilitators were licensed professionals and 95% of staff is in recovery with long term success, decades of experience.
Samaritan also has daily , morning meditation for all clients who wish to engage.
It’s proven to help those with addictions and co occurring disorders so I was very happy they facilitate daily meditation. A few minutes each day changed each day for the positive for me .
The recovery, behavioral Technical support staff that managed clients needs was 24/7.
All of them were actively in recovery themselves so they understood us. I believe all tech, support staff had close to or more than 10 years sobriety.
They were patient, attentive and knowledgeable. Very Respectful and cared about the clients needs. That says a lot given fact that 40 people, all of whom were in Early recovery. Me included, Clients can be very hard to manage, and that’s an understatement. Support staff was truly the glue that held us together.
Samaritan also has full
Time clinical staff on site and Although I didn’t have a lot of clinical needs I will say that clinical director director, medical physician and all nursing staff were very attentive on a daily basis for clients who required medications, check ups or medical requests. Again excellent staff. Very qualified and steady.
Personally and without hesitation I can say that I had a great experience ant Samaritan.
I came in shattered and broken and I left 28 days later hopeful, renewed and optimistic. I highly recommend this facility and their 28 day program. Lastly, I was also surprised that they have transitional sober living on site and after care programs.
And Two things I really took advantage of in my free time was the music / sun room and small library.
Amazing and so surprising given that Samaritan is a non profit.
My experience and thier program is also clear and strong reflection of great donors and highly qualified executive staff.
If your curious how it happened - My story went like this….
I called, did assessment over the phone and 24 hours later I was picked up at a hotel near brick church and trinity lane .I was desperate and ready for a new life after havjng relapsed about 3 months earlier. Samaritan gave me every opportunity and more to build a strong foundation for long term sobriety. Truly grateful and cannot say enough about The programs and support I received at Samaritan Recovery.

| Known as “Music City", Nashville, Tennessee, is an epicenter for country music and is home to Cumberland Heights Treatment Center. Since 1966, this private rehab has provided a full continuum of care for adults and adolescents struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. Whether you need 24/7 structured support or can live at home and a | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Only place in this part of the country that could help me. Had to come from over 200mi away because everywhere else had "doctors" in their early 20s that shouldn't even be allowed to practice at a rinky-dink medicine wagon show. If you're an especially stupid kind of addict like me, that uses substances too new for street names then you need to be aware that CH is one of maybe 3 places in the country that does actual research on addiction & novel substances of abuse. So they can and will do everything that is medically legal - regardless of bulls*** protocols - to properly detox YOU & save your life. In addition to the medical staff, the counselors, CAs, therapists and other staff were all wonderful. Special shout-outs to Natalie ❤️, Ed, Eddy, big John, Amanda, Deana, Jack (happy retirement!), Dr. Z, Dr. Sledge, so many others. Patient-staff ratio felt like 4:1 though it's probably not quite that high. Small-group or 1-on-1 therapy sessions almost every day. You can call family every day once detoxed, and might be able to have a visitation. You also get an hour with your mobile phone every 2-3 days. They hand you a tablet for appts/notes that also allows access to YT, being able to play music on headphones was a big deal for me.
It's an expensive place, especially if your insurance is trash but it's worth every penny. First time I was here I stayed clean 11 years, second time they helped me pinpoint exactly where I screwed up and now I know how to stay clean the rest of my life.

This place has gone way down hill. I have been a patient for over 6 years. The Dr’s, Counselors and staff are very nice and I thought that they all actually cared about patients until today’s interactions. Oh and the wait times are getting ridiculous. My last appointment took almost 2 hours. Then today I needed to have a Tele-health visit because my radiator in my car needed replacing. I live over an hour away from my clinic. I have called 4 times since yesterday and still no one has returned my calls. I am always on time for appointments, take meds as prescribed. Don’t cause issues. Today has made me feel very uncared about.
*** I wanted to do an edit to say that things have gotten so much better the last few months. I really appreciate the changes they have made and wanted people to know.

| Brentwood Springs Detox is a leading drug and alcohol detox center in the south eastern part of Nashville, Tennessee.. The goal is to help you wean off addiction related toxins from your body and get it ready for the main therapy. Their medically supervised detox program helps you safely and effectively manage the physical symptoms of withdrawal. | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I'd give out 10 stars if I could. I checked into to Brentwood Springs Detox without knowing how great it would be. I found them on the internet and pulled the trigger. They drove an hour to pick me up free of charge. Upon checking it they greeted me with an understanding of my situation. This helped put my mind at ease as I was already overwhelmed with stress of checking into a Detox center. They are very attentive of how you're feeling and immediately come up with a game plan for treatment. They are very professional in every aspect with your treatment and are open to you at all times if you are feeling a certain type of way, but at the same time every staff member is super laxed. The nurses are amazing and are available to you 24 hours a day. You can tell that they truly want to help you. I don't feel out of place here. The food is great, the people are great, and the way they have this place set up makes it feel like you are at home. They have tv's with all kinds of apps and cable. The whole place is clean and well kept. The rooms are clean. The meetings they set up are absolutely amazing and have helped me tremendously. They have a beautiful backyard with great views which is crucial to your feeling of well being (at least for me) Cameron is great as well. In the 3 days that I've been here he's given me tons of knowledge and advice and has made sure to check up on me and how I'm feeling. Again, the whole staff truly wants to help you. You can talk to them at all times about anything and they will all completely understand. I would recommend this place to anybody I know that needs help, and hopefully this review will help all of you who are searching the best place to help you and everything you are going through.

EXCELLENT care received in the ER today. I had to have a "bump" checked out and from the first moment until I was discharged I received nothing but professional compassionate care. From the kind woman who checked me in and got me a wheelchair, to the gentleman who wheeled me around in the wheelchair, I felt cared for. The RN who took over made me feel completely at ease about what I thought was a very embarrassing area to have assessed, so by the time the Doctor and Nurse who treated me, I was very relaxed. The Nurse was kind enough to let me know what Lidocaine was going to feel like (and she was completely spot on!) The Doctor was sooo professional and drained my cyst within no time. I didn't even know he was finished! All and all and completely wonderful visit and I'm so glad the Nashville VA is going to help me in the future.

This place has made some positive changes throughout the years here in Nashville, the establisment has had plenty of renovations, focusing drastically in providing veterans with indispensable service towards honrable men. In 10 years of service I've gotten nothing but positive result from this establishment as much as any sub unit that is operated under VA services here in nashville and truly have found what it means to be a Veteran. I hold a lot of painful memories in this place with injuries and medical concerns, and yet it's still pleasant walking in this wholesome place. Touching, to say the least, watching torn up men left and right but rewarding in everyday possible knowing you had the same guts as every one of them. I have been there twice wants to get a EMG for my nerves the second to see the neurologist. Got there an hour early after making a 2-hour trip. And I was told that the window by the receptionist that the doctor had emergency surgery and that would be a few hours late I explained to him that I had drove 2 hours to get there I was an hour early could they not help me some way. The receptionist went to the nurse the nurse talked to me the nurse took me to the resident Doctor who had spoke to previously and he addressed my issues prescribed me some medications and told me my primary doctor would have to prescribe them. He sent that to the primary care doctor after 2 weeks of running around talking to the nurse the nurse the doctor or whatever I don't think I still had a prescription wrote yet I'm absolutely upset that I had to wait this long being in pain for 5 weeks I've had one procedure at the pain management in community care and I got another one tomorrow the 10th of November I hope to get some relief. Again let me get back to the Nashville VA I went down the patient advocate and highly recommended that everyone that I was talking to that morning be recognized for the outstanding abilities I even advised the patient advocate he should get something while at the same time saying that I had went to the Murfreesboro VA emergency room urgent care and while there the nurse did not do his job and told him today and they know the day that I was there to go back and look at the video camera that was in the room and see what he did in order so that the 80 year old people will not get abused.

It gave me the tools I desperately needed to work towards being drug free. Had it not been for Bryan Smith, Morris Crosby, and a gang of others.... I wouldn’t be where I am today... nor would I have the testimony I have to extend hope to the addict that still suffering in active addiction. Thank you guys & God Bless

This was my very first visit to the VA. I was a little apprehensive with all the stories in the news are care at the VA, etc. I have to admit, I was very surprised. From check in at the desk to check out when I was done, this location treated me with respect and it was obvious they were concerned for my health care. The staff and doctor I encountered could not have been better! They were truly cared about my health and made sure I had any tests I needed. I want to say thank you to everyone there who made my first visit a pleasant experience.

Nashville is the 16th most expensive city nationwide for addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $63232. This is higher than the average cost of $56600 for addiction treatment in Tennessee and higher than the national average cost for drug rehab of $57,193.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Nashville vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of medical detox, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and medication assisted treatment. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below. There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Nashville. Most rehab treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Nashville that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here's the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment near Nashville.
Blue Cross Blue Shield is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Nashville, with 19 treatment centers in the city accepting their insurance. Aetna is the 2nd most popular with 18 treatment centers accepting it followed by Cigna in 3rd accepted by 17 drug rehabs.
Nashville has the 210th highest rate of drug use nationwide among nearly 400 cities surveyed. This number reflects the combined use of cocaine, heroin, meth, and marijuana, displayed individually below. The percent shown for each drug represents the number of residents in Davidson county that have reported ever using the following drugs, so these numbers should not be interpreted as direct evidence of current drug use in Nashville or Davidson county as a whole.
In 2023, Nashville had the 23rd highest number narcotics violations out of 330 cities nationwide, with a total of 2171 reported drug-related incidents that year. This includes cases of public intoxication, drug arrests, narcotics found during house calls and traffic stops, and any other drug-related crime.
Keep in mind these numbers are dependent on accurate record keeping and reporting laws by local police and sheriffs, and may not fully reflect all drug related crime in Nashville. All values are per 100,000 population.
