I sent my 16 yr. old son to TRAILS in September 2023 and he graduated 3 months later. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They taught him how to survive and thrive in the woods of North Carolina. They taught him how to express his feelings and needs in a way that is respectful to everyone around him. They helped him learn about himself and brought his self-talk over to the positive side of things. They taught him that "he can do hard things". My family is so grateful to this group of people who run this program. We dropped off an angry, selfish, going-nowhere good kiddo and after a lot of work, missteps, repetition, and encouragement, my son had a fabulous growth experience at TRAILS that will serve him the rest of his life. Parents, do not hesitate to go with this program.

My stay here helped save my life! While the program is rigorous and rules are strict - if you throw yourself fully into the process, you will see results. Staff is warm and caring and are always trying to meet clients where they’re at. Hopefully I never need to, but I would return here for treatment if I had to.

Our 22 year old son was ‘failing to launch’ - gaming, marijuana use and generalized anxiety were issues that prevented him from moving into a healthy and successful adult life. The three months that he spent at Momentum provided just the right mixture of support, insight and challenge to help him channel his energies in a positive direction. His therapist, Joe, was compassionate and effective, and helped motivate our son to reach for more than he thought possible. He left Momentum with a very positive attitude about himself and his possibilities. He has just started a ‘transition’ program where he is utilizing the lessons learned at Momentum to carve out his new life. Momentum is a very fine program with a dedicated, caring and skilled staff - we can highly recommend it!

I was very impressed with the quality of care that my son received at Trails Momentum. He was there from May 2023-September 2023. He arrived in a very sad and lost frame of mind. He left with much more self confidence, and a feeling of purpose. His therapist, Joe, was amazing to work with. I would highly recommend Trails.

Great recovery program it help me overcome all the situations in my life I struggle with anxiety and depression and stress and most but not least I struggle with suicidal but by the grace of God He has helped me overcome things I thought I never gonna get rid off my struggle in my life. The reason why people put bad reviews on here is because they have not giving it enough time to process but the truth is it’s not what you take out of this world out it’s what you get out of with the people God puts in your life. I have a shirt that says Growth and it’s says grow through what you go through cause life is to short and we don’t know what going to happen to us when God calls us home. So I just want to thank God for LCO NC. If life was easy why did we decide to get help if we as humans being didn’t need it cause I can promise you one thing I needed every single thing that LCO NC provided for me. We don’t even live by the fruits of the spirit cause we let selfishness and Pride get in the way that GOD has for all of us in this world but in today’s world we think about ourselves and not about others. There is two greatest commandments 1.Love God with all your heart and mind and soul and 2. Love your neighbor as your self

This program does work, as much as you want to make it work. I’m going to 100% honest as well, this program is not a walk in the park. What this place, or Jesus in this place, has done with me is kept me sober since October 17th 2021 and grown me up spiritually and maturely as well. It’s called Life Changers for a reason, you have to want that change in your life.

When I found next step recovery I was at my lowest, I had found my bottom. I had my mind made up that suicide was my only way out. Then I found next step, and my second chance at a better, clean and sober life. I've been in and out of rehabs and detoxes my whole life. But this facility was different. I was welcomed like I was family and I had come home. With the love and compassion, not judged, but given a real chance at a better life. I'm currently living in the sober living house, and unlike a lot of places. The houses are very nice, clean, and up to date homes fully furnished. The staff is excellent, and always available to help with anything I need. Today I feel like a better man, a better husband, a better father, and I owe it all to next step recovery.

I have been a patient at Crossroads Seneca for going on 3 years now and I can confidently say that there is a fair chance I would be dead absent the high quality of care provided by the staff at this clinic. Methadone clinics get a bad reputation due to outdated stigmas surrounding opiate addiction and Medication Assisted Treatment, as well as the fact that many opiate addicts have co-occurring mental health and trauma disorders they are coping with that make treatment complicated. It's not an easy community to treat. It takes special people with a high capacity for compassion and patience. I just want to thank everyone at this center for being those special people that make a difference every day. Thank you Shelley for always being so supportive and caring with me. Thank you Hailie for always being so kind to me checking in. Thank you Jazzie for always making yourself available to me any time I needed help. And thank you to the pharmacist and nursing staff, who manage patients(even the struggling ones) so gracefully everyday.😊

This place has been a game changer for me. God led me here, no longer feeling like im riding in the backseat of my sobriety/ cleanliness. Now im driving this train and pulling some folks too.Feels amazing...also want to note how sweet the staff all were, even the couple token sourpusses have their value for sure. The food was actually pretty edible! Not that u really want to eat, but this is an absolute necessity in the beginning as well as sleep and the bed was comfortable enough i was able to sleep another absolute necessity you would be surprised i didnt find at other places, sometimes its about those little things that otherwise would have caused anyone so much more unnecessary uncomfort. Also, plenty of vape breaks, and they give u a good vape for your stay as long as u attend the groups, plz do as many groups as uu possibly can. Thank u again to all the staff, support and to all the beautiful people I met in there. If youre reading this and this would be your first time coming in for something like this boy are uu lucky to have just found this place.PLZZ JUST DO IT! ...RIGHT NOW. It finally is working for me wish I would have come here first! I plead the Blood of Jesus over you, and apply it to your situation in His Holy Name. Thank you Lord Amen

I could not be more grateful for the care I received here. The staff are amazing and will make sure that you are always comfortable. You will be respected, heard, and treated with dignity. You won't be dismissed, all your questions will be answered. Be completely honest so that you can receive the exact care that you need. You could not ask for better accomodations or understanding. The environment is immediately welcoming. Its quiet, peaceful. They have everything you need, you really just need clothing. (Its a bit chilly, bring hoodies and fuzzy socks) There are even laundry facilities. You will be provided with a vape or nicotine patches if you use nicotine products. You may rest as much as you need, the staff will let you sleep through the night, vitals are during the day. You can call your family, except for during group meetings. No visitors, but the stay is short. The counselors and peer support specialists are very honest, open, and eager to help you with your personal journey, without being pushy or making you feel rushed. Whether faith based or evidence based care is right for you, that is your choice. There are options for both approaches! The idea of group meetings was terrifying for me, an introvert, an addict full of shame and guilt. You are not obligated to contribute, that was reassuring. But I was surprised at myself for wanting to contribute and engage. It was a bit sad leaving. While here, I was not just a junkie, just an alcoholic, a lost cause, all of the negative adjectives I used to describe myself. I wasn't the things my family called me. I wasn't an echo of the childhood I lost. I wasn't an empty, lonely vessel on autopilot. I was a person. A human. Im more than my story, but sharing our perspectives and caring for each other felt like being part of a family. A family where you aren't the black sheep. It was almost overwhelming to feel that kind of support and HOPE. Ill be honest; When I came in, i wasn't ready to get help. The timing was just right. But very quickly that changed. They made me want to be better. Not for recognition or pats on the back. Not for attention or brownie points. They made me want it because they made me see I deserve it, I deserve to live a good life and be happy. If you are thinking about making some changes, please come here. What do you have to lose?

I have been to both the detox and rehab side of ADACT. I had a good experience. I felt welcomed and the staff is great especially Kelly, she goes above and beyond for the patients. The doctors and therapist helped me stabilize my meds. The classes were great too i learned different ways to cope and retrain my brain to start good habits to replace the bad. As an addict I felt like I was somewhere I could relate to my issues that not everyone can understand. Coming out of a toxic marriage that led to my addiction and mental health it was good to be somewhere different and around new people to get away from my usual triggers and start to take the first step to recovery and living a healthy life. When I finished they guided me in the right direction to continue staying on track for my recovery.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Life-Changing Experience — Forever Grateful Julian F. Keith Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Center was the turning point in my life. After attending five different rehabs, I arrived here in 2020 feeling lost and uncertain if lasting change was possible. But this place—this team—changed everything for me. From the moment I walked through the doors, the front office staff greeted me with kindness and dignity. The nurses were compassionate and attentive, the recovery coaches and counselors truly listened, and the education team made learning feel meaningful again. My therapist was nothing short of life-changing—she helped me dig deeper and start healing in ways I never thought possible. Even the cafeteria staff made an impact. They didn’t just serve meals—they served encouragement with every plate, and their warmth stayed with me daily. Because of Julian F. Keith, I began to believe in myself again. Today, I’m proud to say I’ve earned my associate’s and bachelor’s degrees, and I’m now finishing my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Substance Use Disorders, with a focus on trauma and gender identity. I’m also a North Carolina Board Certified Peer Support Specialist, giving back to others just like me—because someone once did the same for me here. This center helped me reimagine my future and reconnect with my purpose. I will always carry gratitude in my heart for what they gave me. I genuinely believe that without their guidance, structure, and compassion, I would not be where I am today. Thank you to every single person at Julian F. Keith. You changed my life. —Jennifer Nicole Brooks

Glory to God be the highest !! I’ve spent seven years in and out of inpatient programs across the country, and I can say without hesitation that Solutions Recovery Center in Greenville, SC is on a completely different level. I’m not exaggerating when I say this place has impacted my life more than anywhere I’ve ever been, even during the hardest season I’ve ever faced. When everything in my life felt like it was collapsing, they saved my life. Solutions isn’t just a sober living community — it’s the gold standard, the blueprint, the example the rest of the world should be studying. The amount of respect they show every single person who walks through their doors is unmatched. They don’t just tolerate you; they honor you, they listen to you, and they give you the freedom to express yourself without judgment or shame. The staff doesn’t just do their job — they go above and beyond in ways that feel almost unreal. Their compassion is overwhelming, their dedication is unshakeable, and their belief in people is so powerful it feels supernatural. I’ve never experienced a team so committed to giving people a real chance, a real opportunity, and a real path forward. The community itself is something rare — a place where you’re treated like a human being with value, potential, and purpose. A place where accountability and love walk hand‑in‑hand. A place where you can rebuild your life with dignity. A place where you’re allowed to grow, stumble, rise, and become someone you never thought you could be. I’ve been through more programs than I can count, but Solutions Recovery Center is the only one that truly changed me. The only one that reached me when I was at my lowest. The only one that helped me find myself again. If you’re looking for the world’s greatest sober living community — you’ve found it. If you’re looking for a place that will treat you with respect — this is it. If you’re looking for a place that gives you opportunity, structure, freedom, and hope — Solutions is the answer. I owe them more than words can express. They didn’t just help me. They saved my life.

This is the only program that worked for him, just being in the meeting hall you can feel the sense compassion. Thank you so much to the staff and community that surrounds Solutions Recovery Center. My family is extremely happy with this program and will recommend it to anyone!

I loved my stay here! I basically came in kicking and screaming. But I’m forever thankful for basically being forced to make this decision for my life. This place saved my life. From my over the phone intake to the moment I discharged every staff member made me feel supported and they were excited for me to take the step Forward. Let’s start with the most important piece (at least for me). THEY ALLOW YOU TO BRING YOUR PETS. There were 3 puppies there basically the whole time I was there. It was so amazing. I also heard they had a bunny there at one point. So they love Furr babies and know how important they are for us. Paula picked me up from the detox. She’s the alumni coordinator. But really she’s a fairy God Mother. She does so much for everyone there. She answered my millions of questions everyday. She was always doing something and had the answer to basically everything. Kambree, the head nurse is the bomb. She’s so funny and caring. Very helpful in every way possible. Dr. Reed was great at adjusting my medications and going over the information about them all. He’s also quite funny! Brittney is the Boss and you would never know it because she’s so humble. She would get us ice cream like every other Friday! And was easy to talk too. All the groups were amazing. I learned so much about my recovery. All the therapist were GREAT! I had Tessa and she met with me every week, some times twice a week, and was very helpful. We talked a lot about boundaries and life balance. I loved her! Mario and Joe were awesome too and so fun and funny. You should check this place out just to hear Joe read a story. The Techs were so supportive and loving. Troy, the head tech, kept it 100% real and didn’t bull shit or sugar coat shit. As addicts we need that. Tray, also a tech, the maintenance man, driver for pick ups and discharges, plus an awesome man to talk too. He did so much for us while I was there. Tanner is also one of the best techs I have ever come across. And I’ve been to quite a few rehabs. He’s so caring, so understanding, amazing to talk too, very funny, Hung out with the clients but never made anyone feel like he was above them, which gained him a lot of respect. If anyone ever needed anything he always got it taken care of in a timely manner and didn’t make you feel like a burden, or forget about what you asked. Amber and Shannon made the weekends fun for all of us. We had a water balloon fight, went hiking, played volleyball. They were also very easy to talk to and trustworthy. Caitlyn and Shandra were there my first day and really made me feel welcomed. Other staff that I want to give a shout out just for being awesome: Melissa (financial lady), Maren (discharge lady), Mandy another therapist but also another title I forget. Over all living: you get a list for groceries you get to check off what you need, live in really nice apartments 3br 2 full baths. 2 people to a room. You get your phone for an hour a day 1pm-2pm while on lunch break. That hour really saved me. Allowed me just enough contact to the outside world and allowed me to check in on my family daily. (Except weekends). Over all this place was THE SHITT!! One of the best rehabs I’ve ever been to. All the staff were amazing.clients were awesome too. I will always be so thankful for this place. If you need help and you’re near Asheville, or even if you’re not, this is the rehab to choose. I love you my CV Family!!!

October Road specializes in outpatient medication assisted treatment. This Asheville, North Carolina, methadone clinic treats adults with opioid addiction and mental health conditions. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My name is Kelly Bowling, and I have three years clean and sober. My recovery journey started with October Road when I entered their PHP program, which at the time was called the River House. One thing I’ve learned in recovery is that many treatment programs struggle with staffing, and people in early recovery often don’t have positive examples to look up to. That was not my experience here—far from it. I was surrounded by staff who genuinely cared and demonstrated what recovery, professionalism, and service look like every day. The BHTs, clinicians, counselors, and support staff created an environment that was both structured and supportive. Justin, Alex, Chuck, and Gray made a lasting impact on me. They treated us with dignity, held us accountable, and encouraged us to believe that a better life was possible. The community was just as important. The groups were meaningful, the other clients became a source of support, and the overall culture helped me build a strong foundation for recovery. During my time there, I served as the cook for my house and even became the barber for many of the clients. We built healthy relationships, supported one another, and enjoyed simple things like going to the river after clinical days. I continued my journey with October Road through IOP and early recovery services. Even today, I still use October Road for my medical needs. I also return from time to time to speak with clients and share my experience, strength, and hope. Today, I serve in a leadership role in recovery and reentry services with a community-based organization called Operation Gateway. The foundation for the work I do today was built at October Road. The lessons, support, and examples I received there helped shape the person and professional I have become. I have a great deal of love and respect for everyone involved with this organization. They were part of the beginning of a life-changing journey, and I will always be grateful for the role they played in my recovery.

The October Road programs are really great. Like anything there is a feeling of sudden displacement at first. They have all the tools that one would need to start and sustain being sober/recovery. I personally completed inpatient at the RiverHouse. Then I completed intensive outpatient, followed by Early recovery. The staff is very involved with the whole process, start to finish. Oh, I forgot to mention that I currently have therapist via October rd once weekly which has helped me tremendously. My overall experience was very good 👍. I just currently celebrated one year of sobriety and still going strong. Overall if one is willing and able to go through with the program it certainly gives a chance at something better. ❤️❤️❤️

I was at both men’s Red Oak campuses from October 17, 2025- December 12, 2025. It was my second try at rehab (first time at The Estate in MS (4/25-5/25). Key take aways from my experience: 1. The success rate for staying clean after rehab is slim. 2. The difference between my first time to rehab and second time at Red Oak in the grand scheme of things was that I knew what to expect in a general since, had specific things I wished I would have known the first go around mindset wise, spiritual wise, and participation wise. 3. I don’t think there’s a rehab that’s perfect, and if you have a negative mindset and attitude you will always find things that lack and things you wished rehab had. 4. The outcome was far better than the first time because I had been plagued with not knowing how to feel or communicate when I first got clean, but at red oak I had so many successes and break throughs, main ones during the last 2 weeks which is incredible seeing I busted my ass during the entirety of my stay and only worked with positivity and optimism. 5. Again, your time at any rehab regardless of the program success wise is not based on any specific amount of time so make the time count, don’t have too high of expectations, participate as much as possible, And don’t take yourself too seriously. I have never heard of anyone that has stayed clean long term that didn’t actively participate during groups. I don’t think there’s is a rehab that’s perfect in regards to keeping you busy throughout the entire day. Most of my breakthrough moments happened during the down time when I was bored out of my mind and felt depressed. It was the perception change that took place from a negative view or mindset to a positive one and has carried over into now. The mountain campus with bump beds and and Residential campus all in one residential house were a lot different. I originally went to Red Oak expecting to only stay a month until I was made aware of the the second step after residential was the PHP Program in the mountains. I was kind of confused seeing it was supposed to mean a “half step down”care wise, but the only difference was that you punched out your medication with your own hands (while being monitored). It was also confusing to me that the rest of the patients at the mountain campus (except for the guys that also came from the residential campus) were admitted to the PHP program without any clean time and had were with the same caliber severity wise. It wasn’t a big deal in regards of the difference between a patient that is a month clean vs. a day clean, but it did make me question why I had to spend 1 month in a less developed program of the 2 and that the other clients didn’t have to and could do however much time in the mountains, but I was lucky enough to be given a scholarship to the PHP mountain campus due to my efforts made in residential so I’m happy with the outcome of the situation, so I could see that being an issue in someone else’s story. I had a great experience at the residential campus and really enjoyed both of my therapists because they both challenged me and didn’t settle for my shit (Jennifer in residential and Colleen during PHP). The PHP mountain campus also has a daily hour and a half process therapy group that is led by 3 licensed clinicians. It really made me feel more optimistic to divulge anything regarding to how I felt or headspace I was in because there were multiple feedback loops. The main part I think about with what I got the most out of the situation wasn’t really so much advice on how to feel or judgement, it was that I had 3 times as many licensed clinicians to interact with that all made me equally feel like my story was valid and 3 times as many times to be validated on whatever it was I was sharing. Communication side kinda sucked being letters only but it also probably was a good thing. Shout outs to Paul the director, Charlie, as well as to Tyler, Matt, Caleb, Jay, both Mikes, Kirsten, Shelly, Ann, and Riley!
