I sent my 16 yr. old son to TRAILS in September 2023 and he graduated 3 months later. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They taught him how to survive and thrive in the woods of North Carolina. They taught him how to express his feelings and needs in a way that is respectful to everyone around him. They helped him learn about himself and brought his self-talk over to the positive side of things. They taught him that "he can do hard things". My family is so grateful to this group of people who run this program. We dropped off an angry, selfish, going-nowhere good kiddo and after a lot of work, missteps, repetition, and encouragement, my son had a fabulous growth experience at TRAILS that will serve him the rest of his life. My stay here helped save my life! While the program is rigorous and rules are strict - if you throw yourself fully into the process, you will see results. Staff is warm and caring and are always trying to meet clients where they’re at. Hopefully I never need to, but I would return here for treatment if I had to.

Our 22 year old son was ‘failing to launch’ - gaming, marijuana use and generalized anxiety were issues that prevented him from moving into a healthy and successful adult life. The three months that he spent at Momentum provided just the right mixture of support, insight and challenge to help him channel his energies in a positive direction. His therapist, Joe, was compassionate and effective, and helped motivate our son to reach for more than he thought possible. He left Momentum with a very positive attitude about himself and his possibilities. He has just started a ‘transition’ program where he is utilizing the lessons learned at Momentum to carve out his new life. Momentum is a very fine program with a dedicated, caring and skilled staff - we can highly recommend it!

I was very impressed with the quality of care that my son received at Trails Momentum. He was there from May 2023-September 2023. He arrived in a very sad and lost frame of mind. This program does work, as much as you want to make it work. I’m going to 100% honest as well, this program is not a walk in the park. What this place, or Jesus in this place, has done with me is kept me sober since October 17th 2021 and grown me up spiritually and maturely as well. Having to use these services was an unfortunate event, but having Miss Yvonne made this experience a positive and I was glad to have her as an instructor. I have been to both the detox and rehab side of ADACT. I had a good experience. I felt welcomed and the staff is great especially Kelly, she goes above and beyond for the patients. The doctors and therapist helped me stabilize my meds.The classes were great too i learned different ways to cope and retrain my brain to start good habits to replace the bad. As an addict I felt like I was somewhere I could relate to my issues that not everyone can understand. Coming out of a toxic marriage that led to my addiction and mental health it was good to be somewhere different and around new people to get away from my usual triggers and start to take the first step to recovery and living a healthy life. When I finished they guided me in the right direction to continue staying on track for my recovery.

From the moment I walked through the doors, the front office staff greeted me with kindness and dignity. The nurses were compassionate and attentive, the recovery coaches and counselors truly listened, and the education team made learning feel meaningful again. My therapist was nothing short of life-changing—she helped me dig deeper and start healing in ways I never thought possible.
Even the cafeteria staff made an impact. They didn’t just serve meals—they served encouragement with every plate, and their warmth stayed with me daily.
Because of Julian F. Keith, I began to believe in myself again. Today, I’m proud to say I’ve earned my associate’s and bachelor’s degrees, and I’m now finishing my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Substance Use Disorders, with a focus on trauma and gender identity. I can say with absolute certainty this place and the men who lead here saved my brothers life. We as his family quite literally had lost all faith he would make it off the streets alive. Honestly, almost every time I spoke with my mother I was preparing her ac little at a time for him to end up dead. I had a great experience here but I chipped my veneer eating overcooked chicken tenders. I wrote a grievance and mgmt or legal came to talk to me about it and I am waiting to follow up. I have to get my entire veneer replaced bc the chicken was so hard it chipped my tooth in half! Other than that, I had a lovely time other than the first 24 hours when they had me on the wrong unit (unit 2) which didn’t seem to care how hard I was detoxing off of alcohol, opiates and benzodiazepines… I basically rolled around in bed for the first 24 hours, the entire first night I almost went insane with the shakes, cold sweats, sleeplessness, restless legs and other flu like symptoms x100 with no help and I didn’t see a doctor until 1pm the next day! They did eventually get me moved over to the proper unit (unit 8) where they were more attuned to my needs and that made the world of a difference!!! I will forever and always recommend this place to anyone who struggles with mental illness crises or addictions and need to detox!!! Xoxxo

The ten-week CASP program is one of the best Recovery programs in WNC. While other Pyramid programs are half full of people who were "pushed" there (by DSS, the Judge, their PO, their spouse) but CASP was full of 9 men who really want to stay clean. CASP also has their own grant funding, separate from other departments, which is why this program has so much respect in this area of the southeast.

Silver ridge was a fantastic place to go through the recovery process. I have done inpatient treatment once before but this place exceeded my expectations. Beautiful location in the country with a Mountain View. Accommodations are nice especially if you’re are in residential treatment in the main house. Classes are intense and fun at the same time. I really learned a lot about my addiction. Counselors, for the most part, are experienced and knowledgeable with most of them being in recovery themselves. They are very helpful accommodating the needs of clients and setting up after care treatment.
The kitchen serves delicious prepared food everyday and even the kitchen crew are great people.
Would highly recommend this place. The clients were all so friendly and I made some friends for life. Great vibe here.
The only hiccup I had was some issues with insurance and FML leave so you’ll have to stay on top of that but the problems were resolved.

I showed up 3 days into withdrawal and was hurting so bad. They helped me get my intake done quickly and got me medicated and feeling better. My counselor is great. JB has pushed me to complete goals and has just been a really great mentor. Overall RCC has changed/ and saved my life.

I was scrolling the web and I always check the reviews of places I have physically been seen at. I'm a single father now and i havent been able to post as much as i'd like. When I saw some of the comments they really well....pissed me off. Dr Craddock is one of the most caring DR/Pshyciatrist i have encountered in my recovery. I started in 2008 in Seneca,SC and quickly moved to Recovery Concepts with Dr Craddock. Just to put it all plainly. There was never a time anything was offered to me that i didnt have to take the assesment for or bring up first. He never said try these THATS BULL. They don't just hand out any medications if they are deemed nessicary and you bring them up the administer an assesment on you and you may or may not have ADHD or anxiety. I in fact do have and will always have SUD, anxiety and adult ADHD. I will say it again for those in the back. He is a great DR/Pshciatrisrt but they dont make you take the medication and they certainlly dont bring it up. Hope this clears the BS away from him.

This facility Red Oak recovery center is a unique treatment 👌 facility that gives clients space and time to heal. For me I know I gained a clear understanding of who l was and what I needed to do in order to love opening my eyes every morning. I found that I was ungrateful. Gratitude is why I want to joyfully scream and scream and scream thank you to the staff way up on that mountain. They may not hear my sound but I know in their goodness they'll feel my spirit. I know it's scary not knowing a place that your going but trust me this place will change your life if you will give them a chance to help you! All the staff are amazing and you will ❤️ every councilor you have. The other clients will become your best friends for life. The program is amazing and will be motivited especially for you. The Willows is located in a beautiful setting. It's a layed back community and a place to heal your heart as much as your mind! I really wished it could have stayed longer burned my insurance only covered 60 days. I miss this plagce and everyone there every day.
