Been seeing Dr Kahn for over 20 years. I have to say he's very good at his job, he doesn't over medicate you, listens to what you have to say, and if everyone forgot? He used to run the psychiatric unit at St. Luke's and that's enough for me. Enough said basically

Put simply, JourneyPure saved my life. I was at the proverbial fork-in-the-road where I could die or I could choose to take action and regain control of my destiny. I chose the latter and I’m better for it. The staff at JP-Franklin are second to none. From intake, to the billing department (Chance), to my group therapy sessions (and my therapist, Tim...awesome dude), and my coach (Jackie) I was shown love, care, and support by everyone with whom I came in contact, staff and fellow patients alike. They provided me with a judgement-free environment where I was able to be honest and vulnerable to get the most out of my recovery. I came in to the program in absolute tatters and left with my head held high. I was given the tools necessary to ensure that I started my journey of recovery on the right path. To anyone reading this and debating facilities or programs, please stop looking. This is the spot you need to be. If it worked on me, I assure you it can work on you. Do yourself a favor, make the decision to get sober at JourneyPure. I promise it’ll be one of the best decisions you ever made in your life. The journey of a million miles starts with the first step. Take that first step with these folks.

Called Journey pure at my lowest point in life and from the first day I called they helped me put myself back together, from therapy to medication to help myself stay sober. The entire staff from the lady answering the call on intake to the doctors and therapists, they all have your best interest in mind and are there to help and MAKE SURE you improve your quality of life with sobriety. Tim Byrum has been the greatest therapist anyone could ask for. I highly recommend him as a Therapist and Journey pure as a facility. I never thought i'd be at 31 days sober but here I am and IM PROUD OF IT!

The group therapist Tim Byrum is hands down the best group therapist this facility has. He goes above and beyond for the people in the group and I truly felt connected with the group and Tim when attending his group. I’ve tried other therapist at Journey pure but there wasn’t a lot of involvement with others and the connection and trust wasn’t there like it was with Tim. Journey pure has a true asset having Tim and other therapist there could really learn a lot from Tim. Groups with Tim felt like family lots of involvement you never felt alone and he really taught me a lot and made things easy to understand more so taught me to take a step back and look at the bigger picture and the knowledge I learned in just the few days I was in his group I will carry with me in this long journey of sobriety thank you Tim for everything!!

As with anything any experience is going to be what you make of it and they will work just as hard as you do. I highly recommend them. I spent years suffering in my addiction. Years of using people places and things to try to fill that hole. This program helps you understand the nature of your addiction, the reasons why and helps you start building a foundation for self love and recovery.

I moved to this centsrstone because I was poorly treated at another. It's not that no one wants to answer I was told that corporate wants people to use OAS. This policy was aggressively forced on me in another centerstone location. I goto this location and was recently told that the location is now enforcing this policy and are telling their front desk to do as was discussed to me ehich is to tranfer to OAS. Was told they aren't aloud to help appontment scheduling eity myself. I requested a transfer to make an appointment with my provider at their native locafion and was sent to OAS anyways. Unless you call OAS, This seems to be a policy moving forward. Calling corporate seems to make it worse so ide suggest users going forward give up on the idea of a perfect solution it didn't end well for me last centerstone I was at. I hope this helps. Response from the owner an hour ago Oldsunday, thank you for the high star rating! Thank you for your response, To be clear your location is very well kept and the staff has always been friendly. The 4 stars is in regards to how well managed your location is. I just hate that the times are changing where everything has to default to a call center. It's something you are being made to do.

ONLY GIVING FIVE STARS SO THIS WILL BE SEEN BUT IT IS BY FAR THE MOST INCONSIDERATE, FALSE ADVERTISING TREATMENT CENTER..DO NOT GO HERE TO DETOX FROM ANYTHING BESIDES ALCOHOL!! I PERSONALLY WOULDN'T EVEN SUGGEST THAT IN MY OPINION!! TO ANYONE STRUGGLING WITH OPIATES ESPECIALLY, FENTANYL, DO NOT GO HERE!!! YOU'RE BETTER OFF DOING IT ON YOUR COUCH!! THE 3 TO 5 DAYS IN BETWEEN BEING ABLE TO TAKE SUBOXONE WILL BE JUST AS THE SAME AS QUITTING COLD TURKEY, ONLY DIFFERENCE IS YOU MAY GET A NAUSEA PILL FOR YOUR STOMACH BUT THATS IT. THEY DONT GIVE ANYTHING WORTH A DAM THAT ACTUALLY GIVES ANY RELIEF FOR THE SEVERE MUSCLE SPASMS, HEART RATE, BLOOD PRESSURE, VOMITING, DIARRHEA, MOOD SWINGS, INSOMNIA AT IT'S WORST, INABILITY TO EVEN STAY HYDRATED. THEY WILL LET YOU SIT IN YOUR ROOM ON DEATH'S DOOR WITHOUT A CARE UNTIL YOU GET SO SICK THAT YOURE UNABLE TO GET UP OUT OF BED FROM THE DEHYDRATION HUNGER AND INSOMNIA THAT GETS SO BAD TO A POINT THAT YOUR BODY CAN'T DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE PUKING, SHITTING, YAWNING, SWEATING AND FEELING AS IF YOUR BONES ARE BEING RIPPED OUT OF YOUR BODY UNTIL IT SHUTS DOWN AND YOURE NOW LYING IN YOUR BED COVERED IN YOUR OWN VOMIT AND ALL IN THE FLOOR ONLY THEN WILL THEY GIVE A DAM AND THEN SEND YOU TO AN ACTUAL HOSPITAL WHERE YOU FINALLY GOT SOME RELIEF BY BEING TREATED AND SEEN BY MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS THAT KNOW WHAT THEYRE DOING. MIND YOU THIS IS WHERE YOUR DETOX OR "MEDICAL DETOX" IS THE ONLY TRUE MEDICAL TREATMENT THAT IS GOING TO GIVE YOU RELIEF BUT ONLY AFTER YOU ALMOST DIE AND YOUR SO ILL THAT YOUR BLOOD BECOMES ACIDIC SO YOU TECHNICALLY HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO SLEEP FROM THE LIGHT MEDICALLY INDUCED COMA YOURE PUT UNDER WHILE ALSO BEING GIVEN MUSCLE RELAXERS BLOOD PRESSURE MEDS AND METHADONE TO HELP YOUR WITHDRAWALS DWINDLE DOWN TO MOSTLY SOMEWHAT TOLERABLE. ONCE YOU LEAVE THE HOSPITAL GO BACK TO CUMBERLAND HEIGHTS, BY THEN IT WILL BE LONG ENOUGH TO START NOT ONLY SUBOXONE BUT "SURPRISE!!!" 'SEROQUEL' FOR YOUR INSOMNIA 😂 AND 'REQUIP' FOR YOUR MUSCLE SPASMS AND RESTLESS LEGS, 'BACLOFEN' FOR PAIN AND ANTIDEPRESSANTS FOR MENTAL HEALTH 😂 SO IF THESE MEDICATIONS WERE AVAILABLE BEFORE THE HOSPITAL TRIP THEN WHY WERENT THEY UTILITIZED BEFORE THE DETOXING PATIENT GOT TO SUCH A UNSTABLE STATE OF HEALTH PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY???!! THEN ON TOP OF IT ALL AFTER YOU START SUBOXONE YOURE NOW PUT IN THE RESIDENTIAL PART WHERE YOU ARE PUSHED WAY TOO QUICKLY WITHOUT ANY CONSIDERATION FROM STAFF TO BE EXPECTED TO SPRAWL BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN DIFFERENT GROUP THERAPIES ACROSS THE CAMPUS FROM 6:30 AM TIL 8 PM ALL DAY EVER DAY IN THE HEAT COLD RAIN SNOW OR SUN MELTING YOUR SKIN OFF IF YOU DON'T FEEL GOOD TOUGH SHIT CAUSE YOU'RE KICKED OUT AND LOCKED OUT OF YOUR CABIN ALL DAY TOO. DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT ASKING A COUNSELOR OR TECH IF YOU CAN GO SEE MEDICAL TO GET A MED PASS TO REST THEY WILL KEEP YOU FROM DOING SO AND THEN IF YOU EVEN DO MAKE IT TO MECICAL ITS STILL A LOW CHANCE THEY WILL GIVE YOU A PASS. THE ONLY WAY TO GET ANY RESULTS IS BY SHOWING YOUR ASS AND THROWING A FIT. THERES PLENTY MORE TO THE HORROR STORY OF THIS HELL HOLE BUT ILL LEAVE IT AS IS FOR NOW.. PS DONT LET YOUR PROVIDER KNOW YOU GOT A LITTLE SLEEP AFTER STARTING SUBOXONE BECAUSE IN MY OWN EXPERIENCE IN 2021 THAT SIGNIFIED TO THE DOCTOR THAT I WAS CURED 😂😆 AND THEN HE CUT MY SUBOXONE OFF ON DAY FOUR SO I CHECKED MYSELF OUT AND JUST WENT TO A SUBOXONE CLINIC, TAKE MY MEDICATION WHEN NEEDED AND ALSO DIDN'T WASTE 26,800 DOLLARS ON A SORRY EXCUSE OF A REHAB FACILITY.

I graduated from the old facility many years ago and everything Mrs.Christy and other staff taught me, goes with me daily and gives me the tools to stay sober 1 more day. I was homeless, hopeless, broken and not a penny to my name. Samaritan sponsored me without question and gave me the tools to have a fighting chance. I had some relapses along the way, but everything the leaders at Samaritan taught me,the 12 steps, to not give up, to get up and try agin still resonates in me today. I have 3 1/2 years sober now. If you want to change, really want change and are willing to do anything to make that happen, Samaritan is a great place to begin your new journey. The food is amazing as well. Mrs. Angelia and cooking staff are top notch. The spread daily is over the top and delicious. The opposite of what I ate on the streets, if I ate at all. Good people, good places, helped save my life.

I completed the 28 day program offered by Samaritan Recovery Jan 16, 2025. It is my 3rd treatment experience since 2002. I cannot say enough to express my gratitude for Samaritan but I am going try. First, they accepted me and others without insurance and at no cost to me. That’s a minor miracle in today’s world. I am 55 and Clients ages during my stay ranged in age 19-60. A good mix which created a unique environment. We had 12 step meetings each night on site and coffee each morning. All required to finish steps 1.2.3 before completing program. The staff was excellent!! Low tolerance for unhealthy behaviors and held us accountable without being unnecessarily authoritative. Then intake process was easy and admin staff was polite, knowledgeable and professional. The Samaritan facility/building is new, clean and first class. I does not resemble any nonprofit inpatient treatment center nor operate like any I’ve ever seen. I received Individual counseling, valuable and interesting small group sessions facilitated daily by a designated counselor who cared. In speaking with other clients over 28 days I do not hear any complaint about their counselors either. They all also facilitate large group sessions in afternoon and I can say they were excellent and also showed that they cared about us and our growth and recovery . The food service/chef/cafeteria fed 35-43 clients 3 meals each day. All meals were very good, well balanced and of wide variety which was also a very pleasant surprise. The groups that were facilitated in afternoons were well designed, specific to and for people in early recovery and tooics Related to addiction and co occurring disorders. All facilitators were licensed professionals and 95% of staff is in recovery with long term success, decades of experience. Samaritan also has daily , morning meditation for all clients who wish to engage. It’s proven to help those with addictions and co occurring disorders so I was very happy they facilitate daily meditation. A few minutes each day changed each day for the positive for me . The recovery, behavioral Technical support staff that managed clients needs was 24/7. All of them were actively in recovery themselves so they understood us. I believe all tech, support staff had close to or more than 10 years sobriety. They were patient, attentive and knowledgeable. Very Respectful and cared about the clients needs. That says a lot given fact that 40 people, all of whom were in Early recovery. Me included, Clients can be very hard to manage, and that’s an understatement. Support staff was truly the glue that held us together. Samaritan also has full Time clinical staff on site and Although I didn’t have a lot of clinical needs I will say that clinical director director, medical physician and all nursing staff were very attentive on a daily basis for clients who required medications, check ups or medical requests. Again excellent staff. Very qualified and steady. Personally and without hesitation I can say that I had a great experience ant Samaritan. I came in shattered and broken and I left 28 days later hopeful, renewed and optimistic. I highly recommend this facility and their 28 day program. Lastly, I was also surprised that they have transitional sober living on site and after care programs. And Two things I really took advantage of in my free time was the music / sun room and small library. Amazing and so surprising given that Samaritan is a non profit. My experience and thier program is also clear and strong reflection of great donors and highly qualified executive staff. If your curious how it happened - My story went like this…. I called, did assessment over the phone and 24 hours later I was picked up at a hotel near brick church and trinity lane .I was desperate and ready for a new life after havjng relapsed about 3 months earlier. Samaritan gave me every opportunity and more to build a strong foundation for long term sobriety. Truly grateful and cannot say enough about The programs and support I received at Samaritan Recovery. .
