From the very first phone call to the day Mason was discharged, our experience with Embark in Benton, TN exceeded every expectation we had.
As a parent, placing your child in residential treatment is one of the hardest decisions you’ll ever make. The entire staff at Embark made that process so much easier by treating both Mason and our family with kindness, compassion, and respect every step of the way. I probably sent far more texts and emails than most parents, constantly checking in and asking questions, yet not a single person ever made me feel like I was being a burden. Every message was answered promptly, every concern was taken seriously, and I always felt heard.
What stood out most was how genuinely invested everyone was in Mason. From the treatment team and residential staff to the front desk, every single person took the time to truly know him. He wasn’t just another resident, he was Mason. They learned his personality, celebrated his successes, encouraged him through his struggles, and built relationships that made him feel safe, supported, and valued.
Communication throughout his stay was exceptional. The team consistently kept us informed, responded quickly, held appointments as scheduled, and welcomed us during family visits. We always knew they wanted what was best for Mason, and that gave us tremendous peace of mind.
Mason spent 64 days at Embark, and the growth we saw in that short time was nothing short of remarkable. He came home more patient, more present, more thoughtful, and with skills that will continue to help him long after treatment. We know his journey isn’t over, but Embark gave him a foundation that we truly believe changed the course of his life.
There simply aren’t enough words to express our gratitude to every single person who played a role in Mason’s care. Thank you for treating our son like your own, for believing in him, and for walking alongside our family during one of the most difficult seasons of our lives. We will always be grateful.

Usually not the type to be fond on these places but I can say from the receptionist, to the psychiatrist and the therapist, they're amazing. Have shown nothing but respect, no judgement and have helped me so much in the matter of a month! Super easy going and down to earth! Recommend 10/10

I don't know know her name, but I wish I did to compliment her. I just called as a first time patient attempting to make an appointment, and after having the worst experiences at so many separate places, had almost given up hope... I had pretty poor expectations after seing the stars on google, but I called today, the Athens number, and transferred to someone for first appointments. I had the best and most hopeful experience in trying to get help my entire adult life. I talked to them for 30 minutes, and explained way more than they asked or I should have, but they just stayed so patient and kind. It was truly a different experience, and left me feeling positive and hopeful towards my induction telecomm interview tomorrow.

Miracle Lake really is a Miracle place! They not only help restore families, they help these men have a relationship with our Saviour, Jesus Christ! I have had only the best experience with VBH. There may have been a few hiccups but all got straightened out in a timely manner. My caseworker Miranda is great. I have read all the negative comments here and I’m afraid I don’t agree with that. They must've had their own issues.

Rushed my child here for an allergic reaction. I called them while on my way there and they were waiting for me to pull up. They immediately started medical care before they even knew our names. Staff took this scary situation very serious and provided excellent care! I couldn't be more thankful for the care they provided for my child. I definitely recommend this emergency department!

Focus saved my life. I stayed on the ED side for a month and I’m so glad that I did. There are too many wonderful things about this place to list but I’ll try! Amazing food, clean facilities, beautiful location, effective programming, individualized patient care, fun outings, and last but not least: INCREDIBLE STAFF! John is very in tune with his spirit and inspiring others to see and feel and find a spiritual connection. The Knoxville VA outpatient clinic is by far the best group of people to deal with. Especially Dr. Terrell and his staff. All of the nurses have been so kind and considerate. Dr. Terrell shows concern about the physical, mental and emotional well-being. It is an absolute highlight of my day talking to him. The fact that he knows my kids names, my wife’s name and what’s going on in our life makes me feel cared for. I am so grateful for the wonderful people and care. The VA has provided.

I was frustrated about not being able to find any mental health help after a traumatic injury when I did a walk in at Ridgeview. They got me in the same day and I met with a counselor named David. He was absolutely fantastic. Not only did he truly listen and evaluate, he also gave me resources and direction on where to go for further help. He really cared about me as an individual and set me on the path to find the right type of help for my particular symptoms of PTSD. I am so grateful that Ridgeview was there when I needed it most. Thank you so much for your compassion and caring.

I have been going to this treatment center since August. In that amount of time I have seen people heal from opiate addiction to move on to healthier and better lives. I will say that the counselors at this clinic care deeply about each one of the people who walks through the door every day. If you struggle with addiction, I would suggest calling and talking to one of the counselors. Truly they care.

Broke down up here in Blairsville on our way home to Marietta. Needed to guest dose for 3 days and they ended up going above and beyond to do what they could to help us. Extremely thankful for this place. The director is definitely a lot more helpful and nice than the director at our home clinic. Definitely recommending them to anyone that needs them in this area. Take you to emergency room and you have 72 to call the VA hotline and tell them where you’re at. That’s the way to get help when I was at the clinic. I had a heart attack check EKG stuff call 911 they took me to the ER I had to have 4 stents put in me the phone is controlled by Atlanta VA systems best not to call them just do walk in but like I said you need help call 911

I have been going here for 15 years and I am always happy with the help I get from the nurses and admin staff. They are always helpful and set you up for free medication if you don’t have health insurance. They have all sorts of programs. The only downside is you usually have to call a couple months in advance to book with a particular NP.
