I would absolutely recommend the lodge to anyone who is on the fence about approaching residential treatment. When I first got here, I was terrified- I barely remember the tour, and soon after I was alone in my room, waiting for my belongings to be checked. I thought I had made a bad decision, to be honest, before my first roommate came in. I made so many friends at the lodge, everyone here is so kind and empathetic towards your struggles- including the staff! I know I probably wouldn't have and couldn't have made so much progress on my mental health journey without the lodge. Getting to see the animals, go to coffee, and participate in groups was wonderful. I hope everyone is able to get the chance to experience the lodge if they can, as it can be truly life-changing.
Thank you to the therapists there, the swing shift techs, and all the friends I met along the way. I hope everyone is able to find whimsy at the lodge, as I did.

I’ve been to English Mountain Recovery twice. It is by far the Best recovery program I’ve been to. I’ve been clean 13 months now I Loved it there cause the staff is incredible. Dr. Marianne Raynes at Centerstone has made a tremendous difference in my life. A couple of weeks ago, I was in a really difficult place, and she took the time to truly listen, talk things through with me, and thoughtfully evaluate what I was experiencing. Together we discussed my options, and she helped me make an informed decision about my medication.

My stay here was great. Don't get me wrong I had days I wanted to go home. But the staff was so nice and the girls were so nice that they talked me out of it. The groups were very awesome and really make me think about everything.

This is an amazing place!! These people saved my life. I’ve been to a few places before and never have I received treatment like I did at Sanctuary!! My counselor’s name was Sofia. She worked with me several times a week for a little over a month. She’s by far the best counselor I’ve ever had. She helped me work past my mother’s death and help me get to the route of my addiction issues. The staff here genuinely cares about you. They will go above and beyond. Sofia fought so hard for me in every situation, she never gave up on me. I’ve never had someone in my corner so much that wanted me to succeed in every way. Tracy my favorite tech still checks on me to this day. The facility is brand new, clean, and very nice. If you truly want to get better, this is the place to go. I’ve been home for months and I’m still doing great thanks to Sanctuary.

I have been going to this treatment center since August. In that amount of time I have seen people heal from opiate addiction to move on to healthier and better lives. I will say that the counselors at this clinic care deeply about each one of the people who walks through the door every day. Broke down up here in Blairsville on our way home to Marietta. Needed to guest dose for 3 days and they ended up going above and beyond to do what they could to help us. Extremely thankful for this place. The director is definitely a lot more helpful and nice than the director at our home clinic. Definitely recommending them to anyone that needs them in this area. Pasadena Villa provided me with a therapeutic setting, all the staff members were friendly and caring, from the reception staff to the doctors and nurses. My daughter's experience at Pasadena Villa was superb! The brilliant views, the healthy food, the fitness equipment, and the musical instruments (used for spontaneous jam sessions) were great! Then combine that with group sessions that encourage healthy healing friendships and practical tools for emotional regulation. One of the best elements was the weekly family counseling sessions (via conference calls or skype) that helped everyone heal. After a few months my child re-accessed hope and self efficacy and is able to participate in life again! I am eternally grateful!

This place is pretty special. They spread good throughout an under-served segment of our community by providing a safe place for neighbors recovering and healing, who might not have the means to stay in a rehab facility. People who have bills to pay, family to care for, and work to do (or find) and still deal with their personal demons have solace here. Tools are provided for work training, personal empowerment, healing through creativity, and many more classes and offerings (both in person/virtual), as well as personal mental health therapy sessions. This group perfectly exemplifies our mountain culture of hospitality and endurance while occupying a historic craftsman style home near downtown Waynesville. I really cannot give enough words of praise for this down-to-earth home-grown practice of truly caring professionals.

There are good people here and I have found them. Most of the classes they offer give you wonderful suggestions to learn to set boundaries and manage Anxiety while the one on one actually helps a lot if you get the right person. I feel it has benefited me with suggestions and strategies that you can apply to every day life. As someone said on here you have to do the work yourself. Didn't take you a day to get here so give it a few weeks and if you don't have the right class or person ask for someone else or go to a different class.
