I moved to West Virginia, from Columbus, Ohio area, in November of 2020, and I was on Suboxone when I moved here, so this place is the first place I found and started going in January of 2021 and continued to go until July 2023. I lost my Medicaid coverage, like a lot of people did, and they turned me away because I couldn't pay with cash. First off, the cost is ridiculous and the amount of groups you have to do is crazy. I've been clean for 8 years from pain pills, but yet I had to do a group weekly. Anyways, I got new insurance and went in and the girl saw the paper in my hand and immediately said "uh oh". She tried to tell me that BCBS did not cover Suboxone and turned me away again. Now I know they covered it because I made sure before I picked the plan. It was like they didn't want to take the time to even check, so I said screw that place. The only good thing there is the counselor I had, Wendy, and Dr. Bell. I left and went to Proact and they took me in immediately and guess what, my insurance paid for the Suboxone, and Proact is a clean and inviting facility. Huntington Treatment Center not so much. My advise is if you just need Suboxone, do not go here.

I been a patient since 2015,I have to thank Everyone that has treated me.They are wonderful and helped me better my life .The Doctors,Nurses and my Previous to my current Counselor whom is Courtney , which I had the pass few years are a blessing. My Experience has always been positive.I went to a Clinic in New Jersey in 2006 after I was discharged from the Army, And I had a addiction to my pain medicine from a combat injury. The New Jersey clinic was a terrible experience, Drug infested, they literally sold narcotics and the take home bottles in front of the door.Noone was clean including many staff members.Medmark is 5 star location for opioid treatment. It works if you work it.And the staff there want you to succeed. They are what makes it 5 stars, because they care.Thank you to the great staff ,I have my Life back for a decade after being lost for the prior 10 years.

This review may be a lil outta order cuz im not sure where to start lol…but i have been going to Medmark Treatment Center since 2019…and all I gotta say is that it’s definitely gotten better with time…are they perfect absolutely not but no one not even medical facilities are either…that being said if you’re thinking about giving Medmark a try go for it…everyone has their own opinions as well and I’m sure you’re gonna hear a lot of negative comments and reviews about them but don’t knock it till u truly try it!!! They have saved my life and they keep me going!!! They are my # 1 fans and would go to battle for me if they had to BUT YOU GOTTA DO THE WORK AS WELL!!! You can’t expect them to stay clean for you…lol…doesn’t work that way!!! So if you’re looking for a good place to try medicated treatment then Medmark should be where ya start!!! Nursing staff is awesome as well, April & Chelsea are fabulous and are there to help you with anything you need when it comes to how you’re feeling or how the medication is working/helping you…give it a shot YOUR LIFE MATTERS!!! Whole new issues now, 2/25/25. Nursing, 1 star, the front desk ladies, Lester, and the supervisors and counselors have been nothing but great so I give THEM 5 stars. I have been through a LOT of counselors but I never have an issues being able to speak with one and they are really great. The two ladies I have spoken too for the last few problems I have had were awesome. I wish I could remember their names but they are the first two offices after the front desk, they both went above and beyond for me and I am very greatful for them. On to the problem. Back in November I missed my face date because a nurse had told me I had to be there before 2:30 to get my dose. I couldn’t come in the next day because I didn’t get off of work until 2 1/2 hours after closing, so I missed two days. When I came in I was told I had to be reinstated. Whatever shit happens. Well when I explained to either the director or supervisor why I didn’t come in, I was told there was absolutely NO rule saying I had to come in before 2:30 or I couldn’t get my take homes. Awesome, sometimes I can’t get there until 2:30, I run a business and work a regular job on top of 3 kids. Last month I come in at 2:30 the nurse Robin was visibly irritated I was there at 2:30. Look I understand how long it takes for someone who gets 28 days of methadone take homes. They have to dispense each day in individual bottles then seal them, that take a lot of time. I however, take suboxone. My take home is 2 full boxes and 24 from a 3rd box. So all but 6. I get here today at 2:16. I have to do a urine. I get to nursing and Robin is again annoyed. She says to me “ I told you last month you needed to be here by 2:15.” By this time it is now 2:20. She tells me she told me last month if I didn’t get there by 2:15 I would only get a week, which was never said to me. When I said to her a supervisor told me that there was no rule about 2:15, she has the audacity to say well I am part of nursing so I don’t care what front desk or supervisors said.” Power tripping like crazy. There are zero notes in my file saying I was told this. I was able to get my whole take home but I was dosed in an office and given my take homes there not at the window. All because the supervisor is awesome I also overheard a girl had come in to get a TB test and Robin tried to deny her. She apparently took buses so this was the earliest she could get there. . They had changed hours to be open late previously. Apparently changed it without saying anything except a sign on the door. A sign that had said they had late hours, when i made my last review that I was then told that it wasn't in effect until a few months later. So why would I pay attention to the sign anymore? But there have been new hours posted on the front door and online for over 2 months. I was told I needed a TB test. I get a month of take homes, Instead of just giving me the test and have me come back in 72 hours, they only gave me 23 days of take homes. I was supposed to come back today to get the TB test and then my take homes until Tuesday, the day I am supposed to come in for my monthly take homes. I go there and the doors are locked. The front desk ladies tell me apparently I wasn't supposed to be told about the new hours, even though it's literally online and on the front door. They get the nurse, Vicky, to come up front. She refused to even listen to me and started to get ridiculously rude and ignorant. I was rudely asked why I didn't come in earlier, told her I was at work. She has the audacity to tell me I need to change my work schedule to make it there in time. Even though I only come in once a month on a Tuesday. She tells me that I better come in tomorrow or all of my take homes will be taken. I work tomorrow, I don't get off until 3 hours after they close. She did not care what so ever, did not try to find any type of solution.I wish Ciara had never left. She wouldn't have let me get screwed over like this.

Clients seeking treatment for alcohol addiction may be required to undergo detox first. The detox process ensures any abused substances are out of a client’s system and that they are in a healthy frame of mind when they enter residential treatment. I’ve seen a few therapist over the years and I’ve gotta say truly Spencer James is one of the best if not the best therapist in the world he has really been helping improve myself and my overall happiness with day to day activities and all of my anger issues he is seriously the real deal!! Thank you so much man I swear you deserve a raise after hearing my crazy spews sometimes lmao but thank for always being very active and helpful and thank you for calling me if I don’t make it to an appointment and staying on me. I know this is his job but it truly feels like he cares and even though my ADHD brain is literally everywhere all the time you always stay on track and keep up with whatever I’m saying even when I’m bouncing around from one topic to the next so thank you Prestera for employing such an amazing therapist

My son was taken by ambulance to this facility in Parkersburg West Virginia. We were out of state and this was our first emergency visit with our son. The staff was amazing and the Dr was the same! Our son ended up landing himself with four stitches in his forehead and as it was a very traumatic situation the staff was very reassuring and provided the utmost care and support. We were out of state 6 hours away and completely lost on what to do who to trust and the team gave me such relief to trust them with our baby boy. They did such a phenomenal job and he is doing great.
