As a clinical social worker running a local group practice, I regularly collaborate and refer clients to Mountainside Treatment Center. Their staff has always been exceptional, especially Courtney Hulse and Dan Sexton, who go above and beyond in tailoring their treatment plans for each client and family. Mountainside serves as a tremendous resource, providing quality substance abuse treatment that is critically needed here on Long Island. My experience with Mountainside has been nothing but positive. Jessica Leone has been key in my recovery. She consistently has a positive attitude, provides great insights and experiences. Jessica listens well and challenges me. She is open whenever needed and feels like one of my biggest supporters. I appreciate all that she does.

Where do I even begin? Steve Dixon and Julia Purcaro have single handedly saved my life. Hands down. I've never dealt with a VA hospital before, and so didn't know what to expect when my father started using their services. I have to say that we have been extremely pleased with what we've experienced.In addition to the very satisfactory medical care he received, another thing that was impressive was the respect with which they treat the veterans. I saw this not only with my father, but with others who I saw in the halls during our visits to their ER and other offices. You could tell that the care they gave sprung from appreciation for their service.Both the doctors and the nurses were always there for us when we needed them. They both made house calls and the nurses were there for us 24/7-- even for emergency house calls in the wee hours of the night/morning.Everything we experienced in our years of interactions with the VA left me with a feeling that socialized medicine could indeed work if done properly. That's not meant to be a political statement, but just an observation of truly good service coming from a government-run agency.My dad recently passed away, so I really want to thank the Northport VA for their service to him. It made a big difference to him and those of us caring for him. I don't know what we would have done without them.

Mountainside has been one of the best treatment facilities that I have ever worked with. Recently, I had a family member complete inpatient and IOP and I was amazed at how well the team works with their clients. From the initial intake process to referral services, I would have been lost without them!

I ve completed the IOP and OP program at Mountainside which I found to be incredibly helpful in my recovery. These secessions are psychoeducational, with the goal of learning about addiction in a group setting.After I completed I began to work with a recovery coach to help strengthen my recovery and commitment to remaining sober. My recovery Coach, Christina, is truly amazing. She checks in with me daily and we meet twice a week. We discuss what I am doing for my recovery on a daily basis and potential roadblocks I may encounter as I continue my journey of recovery. She also serves as a wonderful communicator with my loved ones and sharing my progress with them. She is always available for me when I need to reach out. Christina also helps me get back on track and is a great tool to help me rebuild my life.Most importantly, Christina truly cares about my recovery. She is so important in my journey through this new way of life and I highly recommend to all in recovery of looking into a recovery coach. It just may be the last pice you might need to make your recovery a successful one.

I would like to share some thoughts about Mountainside and especially our sons recovery coach Christina.Following his completion of a 28 day in-patient program with another provider he enrolled at Mountainside Chappaqua. He is in their Outside Patient and Recovery Coaching programs. Our son and Christina have been working together for about five months. They talk daily and meet weekly. A few weeks into the program Christina began doing weekly calls with my wife and me.Our son works with various therapists, clinicians and other staff at Mountainside. He is complimentary of the entire organization and their contribution in helping him understand his addiction and providing recovery support. My wife and I only work with Christina.Christina is EXCELLENT. She balances professional counseling, insight, accountability, great communication skills and timely follow-up. Having walked this life herself she is highly skilled and relatable but it s never about her. Christina cares. She has built valued trust with all of is. My wife s and my weekly calls provide an update on his progress and any open issues. She reminds us that he is accountable for his own recovery and keeps us in our lane. Most important she has helped keep our sons recovery moving positively forward day after day.

Westport House is well managed and well run. It has all the amenities you could ask for, with resources to get every aspect of your life back on track. The management and staff cares about you, and that's important when trying to better yourself. They really give you an upper hand. I hope I don't need to, but I would recommend anyone to stay here to get their life back on track, and I would again in a heartbeat.

After years of trying everything we could think of, my wife and I finally found Westport House. Our son was admitted quickly and efficiently, and, from that point on, our experience was incredible. After a couple of months we saw a noticeable change in our son. The staff was very timely in their correspondence with us and always treated us appropriately. During his time there, our son became actively involved in Alcoholics Anonymous, obtained employment, and began treating us and others with a level of respect we did not know he was capable of. He stayed there for 7 months, and I can say, it was very much worth every penny. Our son is still sober today and continues to attend the AA meetings that he went to during his time at Westport House. We cannot thank Westport House enough for giving us our son back. After 7 painful years, the change that he was able to make in his life is incredible, and it is all thanks to the great staff and services at Westport House.

After being in and out of many different rehabs, it was at Westport House that I learned how to live a brand new life. The staff was kind, loving, and compassionate. They showed me the way up and out of the horrible rut I was in. They also helped my family understand addiction, and what they needed to do to help me, and themselves. The atmosphere is relaxed, comfortable, and the incredibly supportive! Being able to see their therapists and clinical team was also essential in aiding my recovery. I'm so grateful for the life Westport House gave me.

My coach is candid and helpful, they work hard and are always available. Proper recommendations, meets me where I'm at, and has good feedback. Very grateful

I've been to several treatment centers on my path to sobriety. This is the only one that truly cared. The treatment they provide is what sets them apart from the other programs I went to. They even did some family counseling that helped my wife and I repair the marital damage that was done when I was drinking. Thank you Mountainside, Forever Grateful.

This place is a life saver .. literally helps with anything for those suffering from addiction and its consequences.. this place is full of angels willing to help may GOD BLESS THEM ALL.

It is really nice place , staff is understandings and easy going I think is a home warming environment place.

MCCA mcdonough was my 4th rehab and probably my last chance to get sober. It was the best place for me to come to in the state I was in and honestly Jenni, Heather, and Michelle are THE best counselors I ve ever met and worked with out of all the rehabs I ve been to. They believed in me when I didn t believe in myself. And they all go above and beyond to help any client with whatever they can. They are the reason I have remained so connected to the program, as well as helping me get back on my feet and in sober living and building a community and network in recovery. I have seen some positive reviews here but I ve also seen some negative, and it s a shame those people didn t have the experience I did because these counselors not only saved my life but they have changed it and me for the better. I don t know where I would be right now without their help, guidance, and assistance, and I fully plan on doing everything in my power to stay clean so I can come back one day, share my story for their groups to show that recovery is possible, the program works, and if you allow these amazingly generous women to help you that you too can have a life beyond your wildest dreams.

They are by far one of the best places and the staff is very kind and helpful. I personally have to thank them for all for my husbands well being Till this day I thank you all. Great job, and the patience you all have and understanding is amazing.

Just want to say that I'm extremely grateful for mcca and all the ways that the staff members helped me out. So grateful to have my life back, free from the bondage of alcohol,and drugs. But a special shout out to Heather she is the best counselor I could have even imagined, Heather has such a special place in my heart and has motivated me in not just my recovery but also In my life. she is viciously determined to get her clients on the right path and all the people she comes into contact with. I have never seen a one woman army untill I met Heather. She truly is a leader. With great social skills .Heather will sit down in the middle of any day at any time no matter how busy she is ,and make you feel like your the only person in the world. I owe my recovery every ounce of effort due to the love this woman has poured into me and my life. Tomorrow I will wake up , and be two months clean!!! In a new town ,with two jobs, my rent paid up ,and Love In my heart again not just for myself but also for other because of Heather alone.heather is definitely #1 in my book.

Beautiful facility for a healing environment, knowledgeable professionals, and life altering care. Their adolescent unit K House is phenomenally designed for optimal recovery and continue academics along w/ state the art practices. Their dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) program has highly trained staff and practitioners to optimize therapy outcomes.

A Lifesaving Experience for My Son s Broken Arm Exceptional Pediatric ER & Ortho Team!After a terrible experience at another hospital (Cohen LIJ), where the ER team failed us and no one followed up, we were referred to Nassau University Medical Center by our orthopedic specialist. From the moment we arrived, the care was "night-and-day different".Pediatric ER: The wait time was shockingly short, and the team was incredibly kind. My son, Tristan, was seen immediately, and 4-5 different nurses checked on him regularly, making sure he was comfortable. A compassionate Haitian doctor (I wish I got his name!) was thorough and reassuring.Emergency Surgery: We were admitted for an urgent wrist surgery due to a broken bone. The resident orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Omar Saleem (Precision Orthopedics - 161 Willis Ave Mineola), was outstanding. He took the time to explain the procedure in detail, answered all our questions with patience, and treated Tristan with so much empathy. The surgery went smoothly, and I felt confident in his expertise.Post-Op & Discharge: After a 3-hour wait (expected for emergency cases), RN Jin Young Lee handled our discharge with exceptional care. She reviewed all instructions clearly, ensured we understood follow-up care, and was genuinely kind.Hospital Environment: Yes, the building is older, but it s well-kept, clean, and organized. Even the restrooms were neat something I don t take for granted in busy hospitals!I m truly saddened by the negative reviews because our experience was flawless in a high-stress situation. If you need emergency care (especially pediatric) or a skilled orthopedic specialist, I highly recommend NUMC and ask for Dr. Omar Saleem if you need bone-related care.Thank you, NUMC team, for restoring our faith in medical care!

Every person showed extraordinary professionalism. Showed compassion and help with comforting my wife. Dr. Kay and Dr. Revolus and others in the Gynecology department showed a vast knowledge and indept explanation of the good and what to expect. Thank you Lord Jesus for guiding there hands.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Seafield. It basically saved my life and has guided me to a much healthier and happier way of living. I have 1 year sober, and I give much credit to this facility for getting me so where I am today. From the West Hampton rehabilitation center, to the women s sober house, to the outpatient counseling and meetings, it has been nothing short of wonderful and life changing. I have acquired so much from the amazing counseling and people that work here, the way you feel accepted and understood is profound. If you re looking for help in addiction and turning your life around, you ve found the right place!

Seafield Mineola is a wonderful place. I have had to refer a handful of patients over the years and they are always met with care and passion! Kieran and Stacy are always willing to do things out of the box and I appreciate that! Thanks for all you do!

They took great care of my elderly mom, the sweetest most caring nurses and doctors. The rooms were immaculate and the food was real good. She was very happy and well taken care of there, I was never nervous to leave her. They accommodated our every need without attitude or hesitation. I would recommend this hospital 100%

I recently had a procedure at Phelps Hospital with Dr. Karli Goldstein, and I cannot express enough how amazing my experience was. I traveled from Long Island for this procedure, and from the moment I stepped into the hospital, I was truly blown away.The lobby was beautiful, the registration process was smooth and efficient, and I was quickly brought to a private room that was both comfortable and calming. The nursing staff was absolutely incredible attentive, compassionate, and understanding. I have severe anxiety, and they went above and beyond to make me feel at ease, turning what could have been a stressful experience into the best it could possibly be.Dr. Goldstein and the entire team at Phelps Hospital provided exceptional care, and I am beyond grateful. I highly recommend this hospital and Dr. Goldstein to anyone in need of top-tier medical care in a warm and supportive environment.

I have been going to Jacobi for over ten years and I am very satisfied with the treatment and excellent way in which I have been cared for every time and the concerns for my well-being by the nurses and doctors alike. Love you guys.
