The Oaks is where life begins anew. I went to the Oaks after drinking and more. How I got there is a story in its self. What I encountered at the Oaks was unbelievable. People who understood me and my problems. Then I was handed the book and my life changed. After my time there I’ve helped a few men myself get there lives back the same way. Once you learn the program you’ll have a better understanding of how to handle life.
Since leaving the Oaks I’ve had many many great days. I’ve had meaningful relationships with people. I may have left my drinking buddies behind but I’ve gained some real friends.

Oaks Recovery saved my life and my marriage! My husband went to The Oaks in September 2024 and I followed him to Willow House 2 months later. Seeing my husband be restored through working his program at Oaks Recovery I wanted what he had and I knew where to find it. I have been to many treatment centers during my recovery, but the Bluff has been the best one by far. The entire staff was helpful and I received the support I desperately needed for my recovery. I dealt with Morgan and Phil the most because they were my case manager and therapist. I cannot put into words how great these individuals were in aiding my recovery. I have been to treatment centers along the east coast and they were good; however, I recommend looking into the Bluff if you need help.

Great experience, Staff was helpful at all levels. From the folks during my intake process down to my final days in the program. The information I received in regards to my addiction has given me the tools needed to be successful in my recovery. I'd like to thank personally my case Mgr John.O and therapist Billy. I have been a patient at Charlie Norwood for a few years. Outside of my VA experience in Springfield, MA this is the only other VA experience I have and I am well pleased with the service I have received to date. I’m extremely grateful to say my care has been extraordinary. The staff at the VA are a microcosm of greater society which is no different than the military. I’ve seen others articulate their not so great experiences and I wish it were different for them. Still, I loath the fact that veterans think every ill in their lives is the responsibility of the government. I’ve never seen so many people purport to be kick-butt take name warriors on active duty but act like they lack the mental dexterity to simply breathe once they become a civilian veteran. I’m am exhausted with these two-bit hustling oxygen thieves doing everything under the sun to fake injuries to garner personal financial gain. You chose to join the military. You have not cornered the market on “American Freedom” as there are plenty other people who have never worn a uniform that have also sacrificed. I’m sick of you greedy thieves hooping and hollering for attention while those who truly have bonafide ocular injuries can barely get their just due because the greedy scofflaws are getting shyt they don’t deserve. Tragically veterans know other veterans are scammers but instead of utilizing the integrity and moral courage we allegedly have to call these hustlers to the carpet, you simply turn a blind eye. Get over yourselves and stop thinking my tax dollars are supposed to fund every move you make and breathe you take!

I have been going here for a very long time, this place is not perfect but I can easily say the Current Program Director (Ms Christina) and the nurses (Jo and Shelby) have really done Alot to fix the issues. Before this director there have been times where the wait was over 5 hours! It no longer is like that, she's very nice, the counselors I have encountered are also nice and tend to help. I give the current staff a ton of credit, dealing with really difficult patients and fixing the wait time issues, It's not perfect. After numerous hospitalizations and 4 prior treatment centers, Rivermend Health's Bluff Plantation in Augusta was a vital turning point in our son's life. Staff and programs are refreshing and hands down more effective, holistic, professional, communicative, and involved than any others. They passionately work with patients and families to change lives. The follow through with support programs for depression and substance abuse is unprecedented in 10 years of struggle. I actually enjoyed here better then home yea a lot of fights broke out but the staff when had back then was fire like Mr ray was my favorite staff and they feed u really good we always was having fun doing some type of activity’s they made sure we called our parents and just overall I just loved it there

I was overwhelmed and had some trouble coming off of my meds and ended up being able to stay at Lighthouse for a few days and it was truly such a great and wholesome experience! There are SO many staff members who genuinely care about the patients.

This place has been a life-changer for my son. He recently completed the twelve month program after years and two near death experiences due to substance abuse. He voluntarily chose to go because he literally had nowhere left to stay. The Foundation took him in and gave him structure and stability as well as a program to start a new sober way of life. We are forever grateful for the staff and mentors of this facility. It really does reinforce my belief that we humans can help one another and hope is alive and well. LRADAC’s Outpatient Program was absolutely amazing and truly helped me change my life. From the beginning, Brooke, who placed me in the class that was the perfect fit, showed genuine care and understanding that set the tone for everything that followed.
My counselor, Arianna, was beyond incredible. Everyone in my class would agree she was made for this work. She poured her heart into helping us and genuinely loved what she did. She had recently gotten married and was starting a new chapter in her life....Then, in a moment that shattered us all, we walked into class one day and were told the devastating news: Arianna had been murdered by her husband, who then took his own life.
The pain was unimaginable. Continuing the program without her felt impossible—but we knew Arianna would have wanted us to push forward. And with the strength of our group, and the incredible support from the staff, we did just that.
A special thank you to Casey, our life coach, whose dedication and encouragement helped carry us through such a dark time.

This place is awesome. I've only had one bad experience and that was while been locked up in the mental treatment ward the first time but other than that it's been great including my 2nd visit to mental ward. They are very professional and caring at this hospital.
