The Oaks is where life begins anew. I went to the Oaks after drinking and more. How I got there is a story in its self. What I encountered at the Oaks was unbelievable. People who understood me and my problems. Then I was handed the book and my life changed. After my time there I’ve helped a few men myself get there lives back the same way. Once you learn the program you’ll have a better understanding of how to handle life.
Since leaving the Oaks I’ve had many many great days. I’ve had meaningful relationships with people. I may have left my drinking buddies behind but I’ve gained some real friends.

Absolutely recommend this treatment facility, staff was amazing, never ate a bad meal, and feel like I got what I have been searching for for the past 20 years. Oaks Recovery saved my life and my marriage! My husband went to The Oaks in September 2024 and I followed him to Willow House 2 months later. Seeing my husband be restored through working his program at Oaks Recovery I wanted what he had and I knew where to find it. Oaks Recovery is a SOLUTION based treatment center for substance and alcohol abuse! Beyond that The Oaks has definitely become family and home to us. Best out- patient services I have connected with. The meetings are so helpful and everyone there truly wants to be there. It is very helpful that the therapists and case managers are not just standard run of the mill strangers, they are in recovery as well so they have the same experiences and can truly understand how hard life can be. I went to this place on my own with no idea how to stop and now I have graduated and over 2 months sober. They helped me get very affordable health insurance that covered everything! I am grateful for everyone I have met here and for my counselors who I get to keep seeing. The aftercare is free and you can keep going as long as you like. Please give this place a try. The old negative reviews are not my experience at all. It works if you work it.

I have been going here for a very long time, this place is not perfect but I can easily say the Current Program Director (Ms Christina) and the nurses (Jo and Shelby) have really done Alot to fix the issues. Before this director there have been times where the wait was over 5 hours! It no longer is like that, she's very nice, the counselors I have encountered are also nice and tend to help. I give the current staff a ton of credit, dealing with really difficult patients and fixing the wait time issues, It's not perfect. I'm sure they're still fixing things but I could definitely say that this facility is so much better than it has been in the past. Great job to the

I struggled with addiction for 20+ years. Thanks to southwest Carolina treatment center I’ve been clean for 4 years. Everyone at the clinic is nice. Sterling is down to earth and easy to talk to. He cares about the people he works with. He genuinely wants to know how you are doing. Everyone at the clinic is very helpful ,hopeful, and I get to feeling that they genuinely care about helping curve addiction in our community. 10/26/25 still using this same clinic, sterling is no longer there . Vick is my counselor now and he's awesome. He doesn't rush and takes the time to talk with me for as long as I need . This place saved my life literally. My treatment plan through SWCTC saved my life. I'd never heard of methadone and a friend told me about it. I was in denial and had spent so much money and time finding drugs. My whole existence depended on getting my pills. I wanted to stop and prayed for a way. I've been clean for 22 years now. Staff and programs are refreshing and hands down more effective, holistic, professional, communicative, and involved than any others. I was overwhelmed and had some trouble coming off of my meds and ended up being able to stay at Lighthouse for a few days and it was truly such a great and wholesome experience! There are SO many staff members who genuinely care about the patients.

This place has been a life-changer for my son. He recently completed the twelve month program after years and two near death experiences due to substance abuse. He voluntarily chose to go because he literally had nowhere left to stay. The Foundation took him in and gave him structure and stability as well as a program to start a new sober way of life. Guest dosed here while in SC, to be with my daughter while she gave birth to my grandson. My home clinic is the BHG Nashville Treatment Center. I was in and out in minutes, they had my guest dosing paperwork, and all 27 doses ready for me when I got there. Not sure how they bill, but I know in Nashville they tell you the contract says one thing, when it says something else. Aiken BHG was on top of their assignments and did a great job. Wish I could give the Aiken location more than 5 stars!!

When I 1st started BHG I was literally the definition of rock bottom, if I would of waited another day to come, I probably wouldn't be making this review right now, fentanyl had taken over my life, when I woke up in the morning F is the 1st thing I would do, and think about, the min my eyes opened I was scheming on how I was going to get my pills for the day and of course my wake up for the next day or I wouldn't be able to get out of the bed. When I 1st walked in them doors and walked up to the reception desk she must of seen the pain and desperation on my face, before I could even say anything, she looked at me and said you can let it all go now, your going to make it, we are going to get through this together and she came out to the waiting area and gave me the mother's hug that I needed so much at that time, well she wasn't the receptionist, who are absolutely great, but her name is nurse Kelly, from that day forward February 16th 2022 I have not touched another fentanyl pill , patch or how ever I could get it in my system. By the grace of God leading me in them doors that day, to a group of some of the most caring people, I'm free , all the staff and counselors are just amazing and Daylin my counselor is beyond great, he has a way to instantly make you feel comfortable and you can tell that this just ain't a pay check to him, you can tell that his concern is sincere and he truly wants to be a part of your journey to be clean if I could give BHG 10 stars I would, Thank you BHG for saving me.

The staff was professional and kind I would like to point out the excellent kindness of the ladies in the assesment office. It is hard these days to find people of their quality and caring. WOW!!! What a wonderfully blessed place.. a special place; that as soon as u pull into the driveway , the Presence Of God just envelopes U!! This place & This woman: Stacey Carroll, are both miracles. The much needed structure is within their daily schedule, the term "downtime" isn't an option. The program is packed with classes equivalent to course studies, the Biblical Teachers are knowledgeable with an understanding if the Bible, the atmosphere is one of "kindred spirits".. like that of king David & Jonathon.. or Ruth & Naomi. What is said here, stays here. Stacey Carroll is one the most pure hearted women of God I have ever had the honor to be around. She walks it.. like she talks it!! Backs it up daily, she was more than a role model or an example to me.. she has & is a "big sister" to me. I am an Alumni of Shalom. I stayed at the " farm:" for 9 months, then to the Shalom halfway house until my Motherb had a 2nd massive stroke that killed her swallowing reflexes.. Jesus took her home 1 week to the date of the 2nd stroke... Had I been out there using atthe time of hrb stroke & passing..I know I would inintenionally overedosed.
