Came to this place has been absolutely the best dentition I have ever done in my entire life for myself. Don’t really understand the low rating of this rehab. The only person willing to change has to be yourself. The only outcomes of this is rehab is SOBRIETY, DEATH OR LASTLY PRISON. They genuinely care about your being and I’m glad that God placed me in the care of these people. I wish nothing but the best for EVERYONE that comes through here but you HAVE to do it for yourself.
You have family, friends that care deeply about you and you can better yourself with the personal time you get to yourself. Look for something to believe in because you can not only make a difference in not only yourself but for your children and the people who surround you and love you.

I have been using this clinic for a long time and have had nothing but good experiences. The staff has always been great and I've received the care I needed when I needed it. I feel the VA gets bad press because of a few isolated incidents and people giving bad reviews tend to be the loudest. I know of a few other veteran friends of mine that have had great service as well from the VA.

St Gregory Recovery Center completely changed my mindset and my life. I’ve been to treatment before, but at St. Greg’s the focus is on learning tools and creating a plan for life *after* treatment - and that made all the difference! With the help of everyone on staff (and I do mean *everyone*) my time at St. Greg’s was a positive one where I felt safe, seen and heard, understood and encouraged every day. I went to St. Gregory’s beginning of July and graduated after 28 days. Unfortunately I did not follow through on what I knew I needed to do in order to stay sober (AA, SMART Recovery, Wilma’s after care program, Intensive Out Patient) and ended up relapsing. I went back a month later and was welcomed with open arms, no judgement, nobody asking “what happened.” They have amazing staff that want nothing more than to see their clients succeed and the information I’ve received there is invaluable as long as I follow through on what I need to do.

Sessions last for about 20 mins, and it's even less sometimes. The staff is courteous and the facility itself is always very clean and spotted in a cool location. This is really world-class healthcare for warriors like me

This is the third VA facility I've dealt with. They are the best by far. When I have to bring my young children with me, the staff are always so friendly and interactive eith them. Not every visit has gone as planned, but the hiccups were understandable and efforts were made to mitigate them.

I’ve unfortunately been to 9 inpatient treatments in Iowa and Hazelden in Minnesota. Powell is easily the best one in Iowa and their programming and staff are right on par with Hazelden. Which is one of the best (maybe the best) treatment in the USA. I highly recommend Powell if you or a loved one is serious about getting sober. They know what it takes to get sober and more importantly what to do to stay sober! 5 ⭐️

St greg’s helped me take the time and learn the tools I needed to get down to my core of what my addiction was. I was blessed to be able to come to St Gregory Recovery Center for help with alcohol addiction. I am over one year sober now thanks to the caring and knowledgeable staff. Their approach is evidence based and scientific, but also faith based. I experienced God working in my life to help take away my urges to drink and change my thought patterns. I also learned to live the 7 virtues with a great group of peers who all supported each other! Thanks to what I learned at St. Gregory, with a clear and sober head I am able to address and “fix” other flaws and weaknesses as well. Don’t waste your time anywhere else.

I have been going to UCS for over 10 years now for everything from medication assisted treatment to mental health care to getting a check up. I felt the need to write a review because I have noticed a significant change in the way patients are being treated and it is amazing to see that they are no longer putting a focus on punitive ideology and instead are listening to the reason for the trouble they are having. It is very refreshing to see. I also have a Human Services degree and a focus on getting my CADC certification so I can help people who are now going through what I spent years of my life trying to get past. I have seen a shift from the status quo and punishment for cannabis related issues. Which is also a big reason I am able to cope with PTSD and not even think about taking another painkiller for my own reasons. I hope that I can see a further bridging of the disconnect that still remains within the treatment community between patients and caregivers. It is a good start UCS!! THANK YOU FOR LISTENING TO US!!
