I joined the 30 day residential program at Resada and I am speechless of words to say as this facility was the best treatment center I could have attended, the staff is amazing, Veronica, Karma, Niko and Isaac did the above and beyond methods to make me as comfortable as possible and the most amazing role in my treatment to recovery, and everyone else follows along it is by far the #1 and I will recommend anyone and everyone I can that is seeking helping addiction. God puts us in places and in the paths of others for so many reasons and I can say I don't regret my addiction because he put me in Resada to meet so many others in the same situation and I wouldn't change it if I could. I give Resada 10 . Thank You Resada for helping me to my new life and journey of Recovery. Oh and the food is amazing Ms. Bonnie and her staff are the best.

It s not your mint on the pillow kind of rehab. It is raw and real. They have saved my life, and David goes out of his way to help those that out in the effort and show they are serious about changing their life. Be as honest as possible and be willing to accept it s not going to be easy. The only complaint would be some of the rules seem arbitrary, and often make no sense, which can lead to frustration.

I came across some of the most recent reviews today as I was looking up the website for contact information.I wanted to post a review that is five stars because that is exactly what Fort Lyon deserves, not because it has five star amenities or because it is perfect, but because without this place I would probably be dead. I was a resident for nine months in 2023. I was in a hopeless state of mind, body, and spirit. After losing my professional career and everything else, I found myself moving here. Fort Lyon is a place where you can live safely, and focus on true recovery and healing. If that is what you want. To be completely transparent, most negative comments are from people who are not ready for what it takes to turn your life around. It is not fun and you don't normally get your way, but I learned that is LIFE. I gained back ALL I had lost and so much more. Thanks to God ultimately, but also to this place and a program I work everyday. I am now over three years sober from all substances, and if you knew my entire story you would agree it is a miracle. Going in I was skeptical. The VA gets a bad rap. After getting the physical and paperwork the nurse came to the waiting room, sat down and explained the results. My private doctor does not do this. Appointments made and taken care of in a very timely manor. I was pretty impressed with the VA and this location.

Not perfect, but its clean and medical appointments are easy to come by. Mental health is a little harder to get the apts you want, but they're always available by phone. Small, but very clean and staff is extremely nice.

Wonderful staff and program. The groups are thought out, planned and executed successfully. You can tell the staff are all on the same page when it comes to patient care. Addiction and substance abuse are addressed with compassion and professionalism. Even more than that, the program provides a crash course in mental health which services all aspects of life.Highly recommend for anyone suffering from any level of substance abuse. I m writing this as a parent. After researching several residential facilities it became apparent Peaks in Colorado Springs stood out from the others. We were specifically looking for mental health treatment. From start to finish at their facility there was always involvement in what was going on, (with my adult daughter s permission of course). Having caring and knowledgeable people to help through an incredibly hard time was needed and so appreciated. Through different stages of her care there was visitation, phone calls and weekly Zoom type meetings where families of clients could talk together with a therapist about highs, lows or concerns. The hardest thing to do was feeling like you are handing over your loved one at such a vulnerable time and not knowing what s going on. Peaks has so much compassion in knowing that. IT'S A YES. JUST GO.Unfortunately, an issue at home meant my stay ended early - there was a tragic miscommunication amongst staff the day before as well, which they handled with the utmost integrity. It was certainly the only snafu in my experience, and it rightfully belongs in the "sh*t happens" category. Staff had the humility and courage to own the mistake, and that willingness alone was enough to know that I had come to a place full of people who are truly the real deal when it comes to mental health.I left because I had to - not because I wanted to. In fact, I was planning on extending 30 days to complete their PHP, but life called me back home.Make no mistake - were it not for having to leave to handle something horrific back home (I'm from the other side of the country), I would still be there. I woke up this morning aching to go back to the safety, the compassion, the grace, and the mercy of Peaks. The staff are beyond wonderful. They sat with me through the darkest day of my life, and did nothing but love me. I can't describe how supported I felt. I could literally *feel* the empathy of the clinicians, nurses, and medical providers who sat with me and held space through the worst two panic attacks I've ever had.My housemates and I, and especially my roommate, wove a web of support and belonging I had never experienced. (Prior to admission, I literally could not get out of bed or do anything remotely social - I was even finding it hard to leave the house). I had the BEST time being part of a community, which gave me new confidence, and reassurance that I could get back into the game of life.I'm a therapist myself and I would 100% recommend Peaks as a committed, compassionate, caring healing space of the very highest quality. These people have their sh*t together.I have never encountered a place full of people who truly WANT to be there for you. Imagine being asked multiple times per day by staff if there is anything you need to feel supported. Being surrounded by people who know and care whether you've eaten that day, how you slept last night, and whether you need anything else to feel safe was pretty mind-boggling.I would trust Peaks to treat my nearest and dearest with zero hesitation. It will be the only mental health treatment center to which I refer my clients. Thank God for Peaks.Certainly I will forget to name some of the incredible staff, but Faith, Kinnley, Clint, Kara, Holly, Angela, Dr. Nichols, Sasha, JUDY, Cindy, Kyle, Pema, Julia, Chef, Taylor, Tara, Logan (x2), Heather, Eric, Marissa, the various therapists who led group, Bobby, Max in admissions, and Rachel - thank you for giving me a home, and at long last, an accurate mirror. Thank you also for tolerating my dirty blue hair and my massive disco fruit snuggie. I miss everyone already.Although I only got to stay for 10(ish) of the 30 days I had planned, the changes in me are real. I came into Peaks as a 47 year-old adult child, and left as a grown-up.Thank you, Peaks, for turning me back into me. Thank you for restoring my dignity. Continuum was able to help me break through to the heart of my addiction and trauma by connecting with others in my IOP group that I now consider family. George is the best therapist I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He has shown me ways to cope with not just daily struggles, but the deeper issues that have had long term effects that sometimes I am not aware of. By creating a place of safety and comfort, I am now able to say I do not fear recovery or connection with others anymore - and that is 100% due to George and Continuum. He truly cares about the people he serves, and I have never felt so much love from someone outside of family (which I now consider him). If there ever was a place to discover connection and healing, it is Continuum.

Detox is rough on some people and they never ever made me feel embarrassed or uncomfortable. I stayed for 21 days and was so sad to leave. Mixed emotions. I made many new friends that were also in the program. But the therapists and nurses all have a special place in my heart. Much laughter, many tears (I m an emotional person) and the feeling of finally finding a safe space where all of the things that I share stay there. My therapist still calls to check on me, love Mariah! My nurse practitioner Savannah, always listened to my questions and needs with such sincerity, I am truly blessed to have met her as well.

I had went to shadow mountain a few years back, and they have really helped me change my life for the better. I went in anxious and insecure, and everyone here (including Randal and Richard, and a lot more staff I can t remember the name of) had lifted me up and supported me in ways I ve never experienced in other facilities. Randal had helped me become more confident in myself while Richard had helped me understand my relationship with life and god deeper, and they gave me the opportunity to go forward to another sober living out in Huntington Beach, which has all lead to me coming up on 2 years sober this months, a finance I love, and a life that I feel like I m thriving in. Shadow mountain was a fundamental part of my life changing from relentless drug abuse and hurting myself and others around me, to growth in myself and a life where I have value and purpose. This is an exceptional treatment experience for addiction. The staff, led by the amazing Randall Staton, is extraordinary; many professionals passionate about helping people like me. The facility itself is nestled in Shadow Mountain and it is well maintained and very comfortable. The mountain itself is a very spiritual place. Over these 25 or so years, I have referred many clients to this fine facility located in the beautiful Taos NM area, consistently with positive results. When we decided to send my son to Sandstone it was by far the hardest decision of my life. With that said, in our case it was the correct decision. It was a hard experience for both him and us, but he said the staff truly cared for the kids and their recovery. It showed upon his return and we got our son back. It s been a year since he was sent to Sandstone. It hasn t always been easy, we have had setbacks, but they have been rare. He is currently in a leadership role in his sobriety group and is doing well in school. He has also been part of several panels about teen substance abuse. I am very proud of where my son is currently, but this journey back started a year ago in Sandstone.
