As a disabled veteran, I can genuinely say that the care I’ve received at the Spokane VA has been outstanding. The staff is incredibly responsive, compassionate, and professional — I’ve consistently felt respected and well cared for at every step of my medical journey.
While referrals can take some time (as they are prioritized based on urgency), I’ve seen firsthand that when the need is urgent, they act quickly and decisively. I required two high risk surgeries, and the Spokane VA didn’t hesitate to refer me to the most qualified specialist in the entire state — in Seattle — ensuring I received top-tier care without delay. That kind of advocacy and responsiveness speaks volumes about their commitment to veterans’ health.
I highly encourage all veterans to take full advantage of their VA medical benefits and get registered with their local VA facility. The care, support, and dedication I’ve experienced at the Spokane VA have made a meaningful difference in my life, and I’m incredibly grateful for everything they’ve done for me.

Breakthrough has been an amazing resource for me. They were able to help arrange a payment plan, and the groups are very beneficial to my recovery. The counselors are all kind and invested in helping their clients. Highly recommend to anyone ready to achieve and maintain sobriety. They offer various levels of treatment from PHP to Outpatient services.
Also, forewarning: they will hold you accountable. You may think your disease is "not that severe," or you can "control" it, but that's part of the disease. You have to be ready and willing because they expect your sobriety as part of the treatment.

My first review was removed, so I’ll post again.
Breakthrough lied on my assessment so they could profit off of my addiction and take advantage of me during a very vulnerable time in my life.
After being kicked out of breakthrough because I relapsed, i had an opportunity to go over my assessment Breakthrough completed at my new treatment facility.
Needless to say I was more then surprised to learn they lied about my daily use as well as included a dual addiction to gambling, stating I have no other hobbies except drinking and gambling. BTW I can stand gambling.
Breakthroughs owner told me on a few occasions she wants to retire. It makes sense they would lie on assessments to trap people into intensive outpatient programs that pay $400 a day. I’m pretty sure they made over $20,000 off me before i was booted out of the program.
All I have to say is, please reconsider your choice to come here. They will lie to profit off you when you need help the most.
Thanks for nothing breakthrough.

SUD (Substance Use Disorder) is a serious disease that requires the assistance of educated, compassionate and empathetic individuals to navigate and conquer. You will receive the help you need at Break Through if and when you are ready to live a substance free life. PHP (partial hospitalization program) is available during the day and the evening. It is time consuming but a necessary step in recovery. You will be surprised how fast you move through this section on to Intensive Outpatient then
Outpatient. No one is let to ‘slip through the cracks’ as another review stated. Each client receives one on one therapy. There are book studies, massage, yoga. EMDR is available if the staff feels it is necessary for your recovery. The facility is immaculate and up to date. Every employee and outside contractor is heavily vested in your recovery. Counselors. Group Leaders. Medical staff. Reception. Director. Yoga Instructor. Masseuse. You will rarely meet an employee there that is not in active recovery. In other words, they get it! The staff meets on a regular basis to review all clients. My group leader noticed a shift in me and asked staff to keep an eye on me. I did relapse soon after because I didn’t reach out for help. And yet again later in the program. Both times I ignored the warning signs. Each time it was handled professionally and compassionately but firmly. I knew that that second time was my final or I would be heading back to Inpatient. I am now 10 months sober. Was it easy? Hell no! The hardest part is walking through the door for the first time after finally choosing your recovery over addiction. Recovery does not look the same for any 2 individuals. Break Through operates on this premise and will guide you through to a life that even you didn’t imagine you could be living.

Our son went to The Center in a very dark place. We all felt it was his last chance to get "well". Severe depression, drugs and anxiety attacks has sapped any remaining hope from him. Frankly we were both desperate and skeptical that anything could work. But we read everything about The Center and watched what seemed like 100 personal testimonies from previous clients. We called and spoke with admissions and they were wonderful. They answered all our questions and were very warm and professional.
My son did go to The Center and all I can say is we have our son back. His turnaround was simply amazing. It was hard work. At first he did not want to be there. But the staff was so supporting and really made him feel like he could do it. The individual sessions and the group sessions made a big impact on him, as did the DBT classes. He has made friends for a lifetime and can't imagine being in the place he was just a few months ago. I highly recommend The Center for anyone needing help.

Dr. Scott is a knowledgeable, interesting, complex, spiritual, compassionate, and amazing human being. I have been working with him for a year now and he has provided a safe space for me to uncover areas of myself that I unknowingly have neglected and ignored for years.
When you work with Dr. Scott, you will not receive a bunch of babble and incoherent jargon that leaves you more confused and feeling further away from healing. Instead, you will be met with some basic and fundamental core principals of what it means to be a kind human being and learn how to embrace who you really are and nurture yourself to become who you want to be.

Been using there services for 15+ years. Today I call to get ahold of my Dr. I just needed his voicemail, after a 5-6 min. of being on neglect a receptionist answers, so I briefly told her my situation and need to get at the very least his voicemail. She sends me somewhere, it rings 2x and goes back to that music they make u suffer through as u wait being on neglect and after a 7 minutes of being on hold the phone disconnects! Angrily I try dialing them back up to where I got a pre-recorded message where it WON'T let me even leave a message.... VERY VERY IRRITATED!!!! NEED MED REFILL for over a week. Anyway that's my rant!

They offer inpatient treatment to people who suffer | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Sundown was absolutely the best thing I could have ever possibly done for myself. I was terrified to go, and I was greeted with such gentle kindness and understanding. The staff is amazing and they all work so hard! Your room is cleaned for you, your laundry is done for you, and the kitchen cooks you 3 amazing meals a day and prepares snacks! The staff really makes you feel like family, and you can tell that they genuinely care about you and your journey. The rooms give you the perfect amount of privacy and space and they are incredibly comfortable. My counselor Barb is the most amazing, helpful, loving, and understanding human being and I am so blessed to have been able to work with her. 🙏🩷 I already miss her dearly! All of the lectures from the counselors were raw, moving, and very eye opening. I gained so many tools, friends, and knowledge to stay sober on the outside. ❤️ I would recommend Sundown to ANYONE struggling with addiction. This recovery center is absolutely amazing. It helped me gain back my purpose and will to live, and 100% saved my life. Love you, Sundown! Thank you so very much!

It’s been 3 weeks now that I’ve been calling everyday—waiting on hold for 20 minutes, and leaving a voicemail… haven’t received a SINGLE call back & have only gotten through to an admissions agent twice.
