My experience with this clinic has been nothing but fantastic. The staff here are very patient, respectful and friendly. I have had a few counselors. I would complain but I have really liked each one, and look forward to my sessions. This IS the only clinic I have personally attended but, I have had friends attend other clinics and it has mostly been negative feedback. I would definitely recommend!!

I've tried several different ways in MAT and honestly this place has helped save my life. The staff is wonderful they actually care and try to help you out w you ask for help and they have people who come and spend one on one time with us and provide the information we need to find housing......help w bills.

2nd Chance Clinic is, by far, the best experience I have ever had during my tumultuous recovery journey. The doctors, nurses, and staff are truly caring, compassionate, and make patient care their top priority. The Medication Assisted Treatment (MRT) program at 2nd Chance is hassle-free, convenient and completely intuitive for new patients to navigate. My only complaint here is that I wish I could rate 10 stars versus 5.
For those in treatment who are contemplating a change, or for those seeking out a treatment program for the first time. I highly recommend 2nd Chance Clinics. Godspeed on your recovery journey.

I've been coming here a little over a year now. I was first referred here after leaving a clinic I had gone to for 7 years. I couldn't find another doctor in my town qualified to treat me. Dr. Howard agreed to take me as a patient. I'm so glad he did! He is without a doubt the best doctor I've seen in this journey I've been on for over 10 years. He is very smart and can always explain any medical problem I'm having to me better than the actual doctor I'm seeing. For instance, I've had to see a hematologist. I always talk to Dr. Howard and let him know when I see a specialist or need a procedure of any kind done. He is great about answering questions I have and can explain why the doctors say what they do or why they want a procedure done. He listens, he's professional, smart and good at what he does. I believe everything happens for a reason. I believe leaving my previous clinic of 7 years and ending up here was supposed to happen. My counselor, Jodi, is also great! She is kind and caring. From the time you walk in the door to the time you leave, every single staff member here treats you good. You won't find a better place and I've been to a few. Highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Howard! Thanks to everyone that works here for making the last year a smooth transition for me.

I was there when my BiPolar Disorder went into a major depression almost a year ago. I was extremely suicidal. They were very caring and helped me to start to come out of it. It wasn't all medication. It was therapy and classes too. The staff is awesome!

The only place that truly assisted me. They referred me to a therapist who could provide the appropriate medication I required.
I am grateful to this hospital for saving my life. I attempted to admit myself to various hospitals, but none were willing to assist me. Having relocated from another state, I was aware of the medication I needed. Regrettably, therapy in this state is inadequate, and no one appeared willing to assist me.
Despite hearing negative feedback about Eastern State, I was concerned that they would be unable to assist me. Fortunately, they connected me with a therapist who could provide effective assistance. Although it took approximately a month to secure an appointment, I was able to see the prescriber within the following one to two weekdays.
I am indebted to Eastern State for saving my life.
Upon relocating from another state, I presented my comprehensive medical history, which, unfortunately, the mental health professionals in Kentucky disregarded entirely.

I would highly recommend Roaring Brook. The staff here met me where I was at but didn't leave me there. Through the group therapy they shown me the importance of community, through peer support we was able to target flaws in my time management and through the counseling I've been able to recognize and deal with past hurts and learn and understand my emotions. I love this rehab center. From the moment I got here, the staff were super accommodating and helpful with my needs all the way from detox to programming and therapeutic needs. They were friendly and the services were plentiful. The food was great and I love the therapeutic rehabilitative environment they provided. I love STEPWORKS in Nicholasville, KY. My therapist was Alaina and she was such an amazing, caring, listener when I needed her. She is highly compassionate and intelligent in her field. She knew everything I needed her for and never let me down. Jen, the Facility Administrator, is such a sweetie. She listened and gave me great advice. The staff is truly emphatic. They have various addiction backgrounds and knew all the right things to say. They gave me advice I will keep with me forever. Duke, the amazing Duke. I will miss that little guy with all my heart. "Puppy!" is such an outgoing ESA dog. He loves everyone he meets and for being 9ish years old is still the king of his castle. He is so loving and a great fit to keep love in the air there. Having Duke there to lend his 4 legged care and compassion makes StepWorks such a loving place. Some might say they wanted to leave or they didn't like being there. Those people didn't finish the program or take it seriously. I wanted to leave numerous times, but after a while it wasn't because of the program, but issues I was having mentally. After talking with the staff and doing the much needed changes to myself mentally, I realized it was me and not them. You have to take the program seriously to benefit from it. You have to follow the rules, be involved with the classes, do your chores appropriately... All to gain what is needed to live the sober life. Don't use the program as a way to have shelter, food, utilities, to meet a lover. You will not gain what you need to keep from being a statistic. Do as your supposed to, and you will leave there a new person and a changed sober person. I did and I'm not looking back. Thank you StepWorks for all you did for me. Amazing facility. The staff are awesome people. I was a mess when I got there and was way less than my best self. The staff gave me grace and space to process without judgement and with respect. This place has saved my life. Not just my life but the lives of my daughters as well. Without the staff and my clean sisters here, they wouldn’t have a mother anymore.

The counselors and the MAT program are really great at this place. They have to deal with a lot of patients, some of them court-ordered, so they do the best they can. But due to some of these clients there are a lot of bad situations, like people shooting up in the parking lot. But if you are serious about recovery you will achieve great things here.

Well for one my husband goes there and I feel it is very effective program if you choose to be clean and sober into outpatient yes there are ways that you can do your little drugs or get high or whatever but if that's the case then you're not wanting recovery yourself and if you're getting high and going to court and pulling the judge know that that's on you obviously you don't want to help but there are people who are in this program that are there for the help and they get the help they need and they recover and they recovered for a long time my husband has 37 months under his belt and still counting so it works if you work it not if you don't no one can change you only you so if you don't like what I have to say that's my opinion but obviously at the if it didn't work for you you didn't want it to work

Hello my name is Michael and I am family. I remember the first time I said this because it is the way we introduce ourselves at shepherds shelter. To be honest I didn't want to say it and didn't believe it. After 26 years of drug abuse I was anything but family by the world's standard I was Labeled as a drug addict junkie, thief, convict, liar, user and a list of names I'd rather not mention. But as I soon learned from pastor " it's not what people call you that matters it's what you answer to" I'm proud to say that today I am 2 1/2yrs sober a man of God because of the love and mercy that was shown to me through all shepherds shelter staff and especially Pastor and momma. Before coming to Shepherds Shelter I spent almost the last 10yrs of my life sleeping on the street. I seen nights I have literally almost froze to death. Spent 10 years in prisons and jails and seen no kind of hope for anything good I soon found myself back in jail , so I begged for rehab. Honestly my intention was just to get out of jail but that all changed in a Saturday night church service as I hit my knees to pray. I didn't pray some fancy prayer or make any deals I simply submitted I told God I don't know what I'm doing I obviously don't know how to live life please show me. Boy was I in for a game changer. The more I leaned into what was being taught there the more I started to see and feel change in my life. I truly became family and was treated as such. Shepherd's Shelter Ross Rehab is a wonderful place, they have helped me to find the right path in my life. I will be forever grateful to them for all the support provided. Shepherds Shelter is an amazing program It is life changing to anyone who is willing to accept Christ into their life. I am now approaching 2 years of sobriety after going through this program. It has not only turned everything around in my life I would go as far as saying it saved me from myself and the life I settled for in addiction. I have been working as peer support since completing treatment, and am well on my way to obtaining an associates degree in Human Services. The treatment offered here and God have done many things for me I would never have done for myself. I not only recommend this program to anyone still suffering through active addiction to consider treatment through Shepherds Shelter but I encourage them to take that first step in surrendering to God and welcoming Christ into their lives by reaching out to this facility. Transformation is possible and we do recover...but it all starts with the individual!

Upon arrivngl at Lexington Addiction Center(LAC) I was greeted with friendly staff that was awaiting my arrival. At first I was nervous because I was 500 miles away from home and didn't know anyone, but as I started to settle in things got easier. I shared a house with about 10 others that was in recovery just like me. The house was clean and well furnished. I had the opportunity to attend AA meetings 5 times a day which in part helped with my sobriety. My case manager kerstin was very helpful in assisting me with issues that I was going through at home as well as housing and giving me overall information that I needed to secure housing. I can't say enough how LAC has helped me. I appreciate all the staff for assisting me through this journey. If you are thinking about going to LAC please do so with an open mind and ready to get on the road to recovery, this place is really great!

It's because of Brightview Georgetown that I'm sober and thriving the way I am today! They go above and beyond just a staff member,they are family. They go out of their way to make sure I'm secure in being there,having active sobriety, they've been there at court for me advocating that I'm doing everything I can to be a better person and mother. If I was having a bad day they're supportive,they answer my calls and genuinely want what's best for me! The staff there don't judge and want to help in any possible way they can. If you're struggling to get where you want to be when it comes to sobriety, they're in my opinion the number 1 place to go if you really want a change for the better ❤️💪🏼

I've never been to a better medical facility. The staff actual care and do everything they can do to help you in whatever situation you have. I've been going here a few years now and have never seen anyone mistreated. The only thing I have seen is people trying to take advantage and the staff, obviously, having to tell someone no, their request isn't possible. There are strict rules and laws and no one should expect the staff to break them.

Staff are angels and all of them truly care about your well being, and want to see you thrive. Sadly theres only one doctor there and they work once a week, and they're quite a bit stingy with certain medications (Like amphetamines for ADHD and Benzos for panic disorder). I was admitted to The Chrysalis House in August 2019. I gave birth to my daughter while in treatment. I gained all of the skills and therapy I needed to sustain my recovery. I graduated in February 2020. I have full custody of all three of my children, I have a full time career as a recovery coach where I live now, I attend school full time as a Social Work major, and I am closing on my first home in 11 days. I was able to go from homeless to homeowner with the education I gained through this program. I'm able to be a mother, a student, and an employee rather than a hopeless addict that arrived at their door with two dollar general bags of clothes and hygiene products. I would recommend this program to any mother struggling with addiction. The chrysalis house saved my life and I am incredibly grateful for the healing I received from such a nurturing environment. I have struggled with addiction my entire life, before coming to BrightView I felt defeated and ready to give up the fight entirely. Luckily I decided to go and see what BrightView was all about & it was the best decision I have made for myself & my recovery. The moment you walk in you are met with a big smile and a very warm welcome from Miss Kaci and/or Miss Denise at the front desk. If you're extra lucky you might even spot the most adorable Director ever hanging up there ( Shout out Miss Hunter!) Seroiusly the nicest ladies you'll ever meet! I was feeling really low when I finally made it through their doors, but Miss Kaci let me know I was definitely in the right place, and that I was among friends. The medical staff is absolutely phenomenal! They were extremely patient and friendly, answering every question I had and I had plenty! Oh my goodness, I almost forgot to mention one of the things that impressed me most! Everyone I saw on my first visit made it a point to introduce themselves to me, even if they weren't my personal Counselor, or Doctor or whatever, it was really nice of everyone, but I didn't give it much more thought, not until I came in the next day and EVERYONE that I had met the day before greeted me by name! I quickly learned that this is just one of the staff's super powers. I don't know how they memorize everyone's names so quickly, but it's quite impressive and very appreciated.
I could go on and on, but I will leave you with one piece of advice. If you are struggling with addiction and are ready to take control of your life back, you should consider coming in and talking to the kickass staff at BrightView, you'll be glad you did.

This is the place to find your way to sobriety. BUT ONLY if you are honestly ready to work as hard at staying clean and sober as you did to stay high. I was left struggling daily by another clinic in town that would instantly shut me down when I would try to talk about the struggles I was having. I came here and the Dr listened to me. My dose was tweaked just a little bit and boom my life drastically changed for the better. The staff is absolutely great here.

I love this place! The staff are all incredibly sweet. They have snacks & hot chocolate for when you’re in the induction room waiting on meds or your first time starting mat. They have either intensive outpatient or regular outpatient. The decision is based on the care they believe you need to succeed in your journey. Everyone is different. If you choose to do mat or come for groups/therapy, that’s your choice. As long as you’re not here from either jail or court. For me, I come once every week & I will soon go down yo bi weekly & then monthly. You have the option here to see a psychiatrist, which in my opinion is just great. Not all of us can find resources that work in our favor where they’re all in the same building. They work with your schedule & needs. Please take the time to give this place a try if it’s your first time seeking help for outpatient care. They are genuinely friendly & helpful. I’ve been going here for a month & I feel like this time around I’ve made transformations. We are all in this together! Get the help you need!

Just took away a star because of how every time you need something and call and I needed to speak to my counselor for a minute has nothing to do with her but they want to know and ask and get rude if you don't tell them your private information that is supposed to be confidential..... It's understandable that they're trying to see if they can help with anything. But to keep prying to try to find out what it is about etc. Is not okay. Counselors and are the ones that, "need to know", why i need to speak with them. Period.
