I am new to recovery and only sought out Hudson following a heart attack last September. While in the hospital, I found out I had chronic heart failure, so my only option was slow death or getting sober. I knew I had no chance of quitting drinking on my own, so I begrudgingly checked myself into Hudson Behavioral Health. This was my first experience with rehab, so I came to campus scared and angry. I am antisocial by nature, so the first week or so I kept to myself and rarely participated in groups. I have always been skeptical about the true intentions of institutions like these, but eventually I realized the staff here actually made a genuine effort to help us as individuals. Almost all of the staff has had their own experience with addiction, so I felt more comfortable getting personal with my counselors than I have talking to regular people. I do believe I got lucky when I was assigned Missy as my counselor, but I would have been content with any of them. I honestly enjoyed my experience, which I know is rare to say about a rehab, but the rooms were comfortable, we were given plenty of free time, and I made friends with patients and staff that I continue to talk to today. I ended up staying 48 days because I applied to move into one of their transitional 3.1 houses. I still wasn t confident I could stay sober if I went back to living alone, so I have been in the Chestnut house since November. It was the best decision I ve ever made. The staff at rehab was good, but the staff running the 3.1 houses are probably the kindest people in this line of work. They are professional, but still know how to joke around. They re serious when they need to be, but always manage to treat us like friends rather than patients. Becca and Josh will go the extra mile to help you and they give their trust freely, so long as you show everyone respect. I ve been sober for 6 months now, and I feel better than I have in a very long time. I know I still have a lot of work to do, but I can honestly say this program saved my life.

I wanna start the review by letting everyone know that it is no longer Connections it is now Coras.... So I gave 4 stars because I love my counselor. She has helped me work on myself and other issues I have been through. She is also head of the Women's Trauma Group which has been so informative, helpful, and like gaining family that is supportive, none judging, and an amazing group of women.. Sometimes the wait to get in, urines, Doctors Appt., and your number in the queue for your meds can be long. However I hate when people complain about the wait when if they just went earlier but they wait and make themselves late and then blame it on the clinic. You should be there for treatment because you want help to make yourselves a better person not because you need to feel better or a free fix.

sadly when you see ratings that are so far apart and no real middle ratings one has to ask themselves who is the real problem. So all I can say is the staff on all levels has been great. Sometimes I wonder if they debrief the staff enough. I mean some of these kids and parents I see while waiting for my appointment drive me crazier than I already am lol. | Based in Cambridge, Maryland, the Cambridge VA Outpatient Clinic offers military members, veterans and their families a range of healthcare services, including support for mental health issues and substance misuse. They accept Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, and private insurance plans. Based in Cambridge, Maryland, the Cambridge VA Outpatient Clinic | Treatments Programs Payment Options | My husband (a veteran) went to the ER this morning. Come to find out, he has to get his gallbladder removed! When we got home he went straight to sleep and I went ahead and was trying to get everything set up for him (surgery, consult appointment, etc). I had so much trouble and unhelpful people on the phone through the general VA line. On a whim, I came into this clinic needing help on a situation regarding his surgery. I was met with a very, very nice lady named Miesha. She went above and beyond to help me. She gave me tips and advice on what to do next time this would happen (my husband hasn t been to the ER under VA insurance until today). She went out of her way to show me things that she didn t need to, and even provided me a Manila envelope and a binder clip for all my documents! From there, Kim (a nurse) took over and also went above and beyond to help me! I let her know how much pain my husband was in and got the head nurse to help! While waiting, she was so nice to converse with and I enjoyed getting to know her. Christine was amazing in ensuring we would get into a surgery consult ASAP. She s very kind and straight to the point! She was very eager to help me. I am not a veteran myself, so the fact that I spent at least an hour there getting information from everyone and they didn t make a DIME off of me is something that s unheard of nowadays. Thank you Miesha, Kim, and Christine for helping me! I wish I could have you all as MY primary care. ( :
