I've been in treatment 14 years. God and Medmark gave me my life back. If you truly want to feel normal again and get your life back on track then I suggest starting treatment ASAP. I have the best councillor anybody could ever have. Sherry Barnes knows me inside and out! The reason I don't go to a clinic closer to me is because of Sherry. You've got to have a councillor that you trust or your treatment could become jeopardized. So if you are ready to get your life back then I suggest Medmark and Sherry Barnes!

I have been going to this treatment center since August. In that amount of time I have seen people heal from opiate addiction to move on to healthier and better lives. I will say that the counselors at this clinic care deeply about each one of the people who walks through the door every day. If you struggle with addiction, I would suggest calling and talking to one of the counselors. Truly they care.

Broke down up here in Blairsville on our way home to Marietta. Needed to guest dose for 3 days and they ended up going above and beyond to do what they could to help us. Extremely thankful for this place. The director is definitely a lot more helpful and nice than the director at our home clinic. Definitely recommending them to anyone that needs them in this area. Hi. I just want to say this is a great facility for detoxing and peer support. But, when I came here I was not able to receive the medication I needed when I found the one that worked. I told my doctor that the adavan the nurses were giving me worked and that I was calm and aware of my surroundings. He said to take lithium and I said No because I have been on so many drugs in the past and they did not work, that because I knew the adavan worked to give me that. I started arguing with him and then I left without any medication except for the one pill that actually worked the first night I got there. So now it's been 5 months and I still have the same underlying problems; paranoia, anxiety, negative energy, hate, anger, and pessimism. I just want the nurses and health aides to know they are very good people and do a good job and the psychiatrist is a big fat nimrod with a paper shredder degree. Thank you.

I wish that the rest of the VA worked this well. Honestly, over half the VA works very well but this clinic is outstanding. I would recommend Dr. Scheffield to be the next Surgeon General but I wouldn't want to lose him.

The Blairsville clinic is the BEST place to go for healthcare in Georgia! The staff is very helpful, informative and friendly. The waiting room is clean and comfortable. Western NC has very limited resources. There is an abundant need for many different services as more and more people are retiring in this area. This is depleting availability of people offering these service, lengthen wait time and shortening patience of those willing to serve. I had to wait 2 years to find a place that was willing to help me. I am happy to of found ACS, as they were quick to serve and help me find my path. I am now 2.5 months in and feel like I my life has improved. I did not give 5 stars as the facilities are behind, however, understand the limited resources given to services like these to improve service.

Overall I had a good stay at focus. The tech’s and nurses were wonderful, and they genuinely care about the patients .There were some great sessions and classes by some very competent people.
Only reason I didn’t give a 5 star was because it was difficult to gain access to your cell phone. Cell phone usage needed to be approved and supervised by your counselor or another counselor. They do provide landlines for you to use daily, but given that our lives are on our phones with apps giving us access to our bank accounts, insurance portals, medical portals, and short term insurance, you really need access to your phone. Sometimes entering treatment isn’t planned, and there are outside personal situations that need to be taken care of. It was stated by a counselor that giving patients access to their phones interfered with their recovery, but I would argue that worrying about personal situations left undone by going inpatient unexpectedly is worse for recovery. I know I spent a lot of time worrying about trying to get things done and access to my phone. Luckily after several weeks in patient, I met a wonderful counselor that was an Angel. She allowed me the time to catch up on my phone, walked me through setting up my IOP and Dr.’s appointments for post discharge . Thank you V!!!!!!!
Some positives were you had TV access, there were many outings such as meetings, adventure therapy, and recreation such as access to the YMCA across the street.

Embark has been such a great experience for both my 17 year old son and me and his father. It’s intense as it is a 3 month long residential program, but I feel like everyone at Embark really cares about making things better for young boys that are neurodivergent and have behavioral issues. The staff works really hard to help the boys develop better coping skills so that they can be successful in life. The program also helps parents by providing tools for parenting children that are atypical. I can say that our son’s counselor Kevin truly made a difference in all of our lives. Our son would agree too. The weekly parent support group was helpful in that parents can connect and realize that you’re not alone. The other staff, psychiatrist, nurses are all very communicative and committed to what they do. We as a family are in a much better place now because of Embark.

Our soon attended Embark for 90 days. During his stay he learned many skills to help him better navigate day to day life. He also learned a lot about himself, allowing him to communicate effectively about his feelings and what maybe upsetting him. It was a process - but everyone came out a better person on the other end. Great facility and a super great staff.

I recently completed the 39 days at Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center and left with lasting tools to manage both my addiction, anxiety and depression. The grounds were absolutely beautiful, with sunny common areas for group therapy and a pond for quiet reflection. From day one, Brittney, one of my favorite nurses, monitored my detox symptoms with compassion making the medical side of recovery feel safe and supported.
But the heart of my transformation came from Dustin, my individual and small group counselor. Dustin didn’t just guide me—he saved my life. His presence, patience, empathy, authenticity and insight helped me find my voice after years of silence. In our sessions, I learned how to speak up for myself, name my pain, and begin to heal. I’ll never forget the breakthrough moments I had in his sessions. I could go on and on. Immense gratitude that he entered my life when he did.
The peer counselors were equally impactful; Cam was such an empathetic, kind, compassionate, genuine, positive soul. She still checks on me to this day. Forever Grateful to her. From Beth, Bill, Zac, Conrad, and a few more—I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your kindness and realness. Thank you.
By the end of the program, I noticed a dramatic shift in my ability to regulate anxiety without using substances. My relationships have healed, and I’ve maintained sobriety for almost 6 months so far. I wholeheartedly recommend BRMRC to anyone seeking recovery—especially if you’re ready to find your voice and save your life. It saved mine.

Thank you Harmony Oaks for taking a chance on me! From day 1 when I came to tour the place, I was surrounded with smiling faces who believed in me and promised to take care of me. There’s so many people who made an impact on me, so forgive me for missing any names - I did not have a negative personal experience with anyone. The staff told me about their recovery and were straight up - real humans, who let me cry with them, be vulnerable, and really understood me. Danielle and Nick were the first staff I met. Danielle gave me a big hug and assured me that she would help me push through and has been a radiant light at the front desk daily. Nick came running in and said I have to meet her and said I was his favorite person when I didn’t even know him and they both continued to keep me in check and show me love, while I learned to love myself. The therapists - Andy, Tanner, Paula, Abi, Teni, and more - were very knowledgeable and gave me a variety of different perspectives, knowledge, and advice. My case manager, Desiree had the biggest heart too. Someone who gets a lot of heat, but does not deserve it, we laughed, cried, reminded each other to keep smiling on the touch days, and got business handled together. The clinical director, Amber and clinical supervisor, Doug were so sweet to me and down to earth. Talking to them was so easy and never felt like talking to the “principals.” Last, but not least, the Techs/BHTs, are extremely appreciated. I learned throughout my recovery that leading with Kindness and Love, will get you so much farther with what you need and request from them, and they will give you the world within their means. The Techs that stood out to me the most were Stephanie, Bethany, Crystal, Helena, Kelly, and Sam. Forgive me if I forgot anyone who really helped me in my journey but I love all of you guys and cannot thank you enough!! I am so excited to get through the program and to be apart of the Alumni group!

Starting my recovery at Black Bear was a wonderful decision. The staff worked hard to take good care of us, I can't say enough awesome things about them. I completed the PHP/IOP program and have 195 days sober now. I will be staying for aftercare to continue to work and focus on my recovery.
This program gave me the accountability and tools to be successful and live a life without drugs and alcohol. I am very grateful for the opportunity to come here and all the staff that was supportive and were a big part in my journey.

I have been a client with Georgia hope for a year now via zoom/teams teletherapy. My first therapist was so amazing she was the one. She was the one who inspired me to get my bachelor's degree in Psychology for mental health. Then go for my masters to become an LPC. Well she ended up moving onto another job in April of this year. Then I got my new one end of April. I loved her too but sadly she's going somewhere else too. I see the new one next week. Even though I gave 5 stars I am bummed I keep getting new therapist. I didn't even find out about my new one until she called me today to tell me the news. I feel as if that shouldn't be happening as for some people like myself bringing up their trauma every time with a new therapist causes ptsd for weeks.

Have nothing but good things to say about this place. Each staff member, whether it be up front at the desk, nurse, counselor, or psychiatrist, has been kind and made the whole experience easier. I've been to many facilities and this one will always be my favorite! Thankful for people like this!

Georgia HOPE does great work for the community by providing community-based, school-based and telemental health counseling services. My son was a patient in ICU for several weeks. He was treated with professionalism, empathy, and a caring staff. The hospital had undergone some renovations and was nicely done and very clean. Very accommodating to family members. Most unfortunately, my son passed away, even though they had given him the best medical attention available. The nursing staff in ICU was outstanding, as well as the Chaplains on site.

Alissa in ICU was a literal angel on Earth. And I've crossed paths with hundreds of nurses over the years while my late wife battled cancer. She is unequivocally the best nurse I have ever met in my life. She took the best care of me possible.
Otherwise the facility is old but runs well and the food is surprisingly good.

We were sent to the Northeast Ga Medical center last night from Urgent Cate. The new ER is incredible. Prompt attention, great patient care by the care team we had. Very detailed test to determine the cause of my Husbands severe pain.
The ER has gone through a major transformation from when I was last there. everything top notch from care providers to waiting process and facilities. Definitely received 5 Star care! Checked in at 4:50pm, bloodwork, EKG, chest X-Ray, IV meds, diagnosis referral to a rheumatology and discharge at 7:45! Very different experience than before!

I went there as a child and was there for about a year or a little longer, I loved it there, the staff was always good to me, I loved Mrs.Nicole, Mrs,Stephanie and Mrs.Cassandra and Mr, Ernie and my therapist was Mr.ryan he was so sweet caring and awesome out of all the mental institutions I have been in as a child(which was a lot) this was my favorite one, I love how we could level up and go on outings too out to eat and everything and how they had school there too very good place

I've been at RW for a year and just graduated last week. RW is a smaller clinical facility than most which allows for a more individualized treatment experience. The BHT, Sam, is a wonderful person who always has a great attitude and a smile. Lydia is the case manager for RW and she's always ready to assist in any way possible. She helped me navigate some legal issues in another state, even. The skills I honed at RW have undoubtedly secured a promising future where I had thought that was never possible.
