I've been in treatment 14 years. God and Medmark gave me my life back. If you truly want to feel normal again and get your life back on track then I suggest starting treatment ASAP. I have the best councillor anybody could ever have. Sherry Barnes knows me inside and out! The reason I don't go to a clinic closer to me is because of Sherry. You've got to have a councillor that you trust or your treatment could become jeopardized. So if you are ready to get your life back then I suggest Medmark and Sherry Barnes!

I have been going to this treatment center since August. In that amount of time I have seen people heal from opiate addiction to move on to healthier and better lives. I will say that the counselors at this clinic care deeply about each one of the people who walks through the door every day. If you struggle with addiction, I would suggest calling and talking to one of the counselors. Truly they care.

Broke down up here in Blairsville on our way home to Marietta. Needed to guest dose for 3 days and they ended up going above and beyond to do what they could to help us. Extremely thankful for this place. The director is definitely a lot more helpful and nice than the director at our home clinic. Definitely recommending them to anyone that needs them in this area. Joy, Shauna,and the dosing nurse are wonderful people and helped us when we needed it the most. Cant say thank you enough!!! ----Alicia and Brad----

Hi. I just want to say this is a great facility for detoxing and peer support. But, when I came here I was not able to receive the medication I needed when I found the one that worked. I told my doctor that the adavan the nurses were giving me worked and that I was calm and aware of my surroundings. He said to take lithium and I said No because I have been on so many drugs in the past and they did not work, that because I knew the adavan worked to give me that. I started arguing with him and then I left without any medication except for the one pill that actually worked the first night I got there. So now it's been 5 months and I still have the same underlying problems; paranoia, anxiety, negative energy, hate, anger, and pessimism. I just want the nurses and health aides to know they are very good people and do a good job and the psychiatrist is a big fat nimrod with a paper shredder degree. Thank you.

I wish that the rest of the VA worked this well. Honestly, over half the VA works very well but this clinic is outstanding. I would recommend Dr. Scheffield to be the next Surgeon General but I wouldn't want to lose him.

The Blairsville clinic is the BEST place to go for healthcare in Georgia! The staff is very helpful, informative and friendly. The waiting room is clean and comfortable. A special thanks to Jessica Collins & Melissa Anderson!!! You both totally ROCK!!! This is the very FIRST time my husband has left a doctor's office with a smile on his face! Western NC has very limited resources. There is an abundant need for many different services as more and more people are retiring in this area. This is depleting availability of people offering these service, lengthen wait time and shortening patience of those willing to serve. I had to wait 2 years to find a place that was willing to help me. I am happy to of found ACS, as they were quick to serve and help me find my path. I am now 2.5 months in and feel like I my life has improved. I did not give 5 stars as the facilities are behind, however, understand the limited resources given to services like these to improve service.

I came into this facility in bad shape with no hope as an alcoholic. After being there for 28 days I came out a new man. A different person. A better person. The staff there is unbelievable and have lots of knowledge to share! I could not have done it on my own. The food there is amazing also. Embark has been such a great experience for both my 17 year old son and me and his father. It’s intense as it is a 3 month long residential program, but I feel like everyone at Embark really cares about making things better for young boys that are neurodivergent and have behavioral issues. The staff works really hard to help the boys develop better coping skills so that they can be successful in life. The program also helps parents by providing tools for parenting children that are atypical. I can say that our son’s counselor Kevin truly made a difference in all of our lives. Our son would agree too. The weekly parent support group was helpful in that parents can connect and realize that you’re not alone. The other staff, psychiatrist, nurses are all very communicative and committed to what they do. We as a family are in a much better place now because of Embark.

Our soon attended Embark for 90 days. During his stay he learned many skills to help him better navigate day to day life. He also learned a lot about himself, allowing him to communicate effectively about his feelings and what maybe upsetting him. It was a process - but everyone came out a better person on the other end. Great facility and a super great staff.

Harmony Oaks has restored hope in my family's hearts and souls!!!! It is evident they TRULY care about the individuals who come there. My son (age 20) has been in and out of mental health treatment and treatment facilities for the past 11 months. He was diagnosed with ASD some time ago, and with bipolar disorder 11 months ago, and has attempted suicide 3 times in that span of time. During that time, I've also dealt with crisis centers, ER's, inpatient m.h. facilities, residential m.h. treatment, outpatient treatment and medication management. Right from the start Harmony Oaks has stood out from the rest! The level of communication they've provided to me/his family has been outstanding! ...Thank you, Olivia, Abby, Destiny, James, and Doug...for reaching out at different stages of the process, keeping me informed, letting me know my boy was okay, and for identifying the need for some additional care my son needed, and making all of those arrangements! You...the staff...are the family's lifeline when our loved one is being cared for by others. I can't begin to express the level of anxiety & stress I've experienced during times my son was at other facilities and I couldn't get anyone to communicate with me for about 5 days, even though my son had signed a release. And Greg...I think you might have quite literally saved my son's life. He called last night and told us that on the drive to the airport, you spoke to him and told him about assistance for persons on the spectrum, and that you would work with him when he returned to your facility after first receiving a higher level of care. Last night my son said he had planned to take his life (hence the need for a higher level of care before actually entering Harmony Oaks' IOP residential program), but that you made him promise he wouldn't harm himself. He said that you were a good guy...he expressed in his own way...that you actually cared about him, as an individual, and his particular challenges. My son has always felt invisible. But you made him feel seen, and I mean truly seen, like he's not just a number in a long list of names. Greg...my son is now saying he will try. He actually said that you changed his perspective. And nobody has been able to do that in the past 11 months, until you Greg! Thank you to all of you for what you do every day. A hard, hard job. But you change peoples' lives...not only the persons you work with directly, but their families as well. I pray God blesses each and every one of you. You have restored hope in my son, and given us/his family and friends hope as well.

I loved being here at this facility.They have been nice to me and helped me tremendous w all my mental health issues.My therapist Tabetha helped me through so much with my trauma.I have come so far as a woman .My anxiety and depression has gotten so much better.Heather has been so great! She’s helped me with so much! I've been too multiple programs. And I honestly have to say this program went over and beyond in my journey too sobriety. The staff actually cares about your life. Even though I'm a grown man. They held my hand and was with me through every step of the way. And what really caught my attention. Is that the other residents treated me like family from day one. I went to Black Bear Lodge back in February. It was one of the best decisions, if not the best, I’ve ever made. It totally changed my life. It helped me get sober and to find my true self after 55 years on earth. The staff were amazing, especially Mrs. Ginger, Mrs. Tiffany and Jim. The RA’s helped me out a lot. Many of them are also in recovery, so they knew where I was coming from. The cabins were excellent and the food was incredible. Let me not forget about the breathtaking Mountain views. I met life long friends while being there and we still encourage each other thru text, phone and social media. I think everyone should go to Black Bear at least once, preferably sooner than later. Even if you don’t have addiction problems. This place will change the way you think and live. Five stars for Black Bear Lodge.

I graduated from the carter treatment center today.
I completed the PHP/IOP program and have 195 days sober now. I will be staying for aftercare to continue to work and focus on my recovery.
This program gave me the accountability and tools to be successful and live a life without drugs and alcohol. I am very grateful for the opportunity to come here and all the staff that was supportive and were a big part in my journey.

Mt Sinai was very helpful for my family and our loved one from start to finish. The entire staff was very warm and welcoming. We have been dealing with this for almost 10 years and Mt Sinai actually addressed his underlying issues for the first time ever. I have been a client with Georgia hope for a year now via zoom/teams teletherapy. My first therapist was so amazing she was the one. She was the one who inspired me to get my bachelor's degree in Psychology for mental health. Then go for my masters to become an LPC. Well she ended up moving onto another job in April of this year. Then I got my new one end of April. I loved her too but sadly she's going somewhere else too. I see the new one next week. Even though I gave 5 stars I am bummed I keep getting new therapist. I didn't even find out about my new one until she called me today to tell me the news. I feel as if that shouldn't be happening as for some people like myself bringing up their trauma every time with a new therapist causes ptsd for weeks.

I live 10 minutes from Northside Forsyth and 40 minutes from Northeast Georgia Medical. For 10+ years I’ve had bouts with gastrointestinal and abdominal pain that would take down The Hulk. I arrived in the emergency room on yesterday and after an approximately 30 minutes wait, I was called back to triage and received immediate, professional care. I stayed last night and I expect to be here for another round of testing. My care team and the physicians are excellent thus far.⚘️💜

My Husband had cancer and got air lifted to Gainesville Ga the staff there was so compassionate in his and all our needs, you couldn't ask for a better place to send your loved one.
Unfortunately he passed but he couldn't have been in better hands.

Hi my name is jayda johnson, I was admitted to parkridge 2 times and spent multiple years there I would just like to say that this place is wonderful it gave me the help and structure that I needed but not only that it also gave me comfort and a place that felt like home. The staff are so understanding and kind I spent a total of 4 years there and i met wonderful people. They have my full support, respect and appreciation as a former patient.

I've been at RW for a year and just graduated last week. RW is a smaller clinical facility than most which allows for a more individualized treatment experience. The BHT, Sam, is a wonderful person who always has a great attitude and a smile. Lydia is the case manager for RW and she's always ready to assist in any way possible. She helped me navigate some legal issues in another state, even. The skills I honed at RW have undoubtedly secured a promising future where I had thought that was never possible.

I was going through a tough time and they were there listening patiently. The nursing staff, the counselors were so kind and understanding.
To be completely honest, I was saddened to leave.

I could never sing enough praises for this hospital. Every staff member was kind, compassionate, helpful, and gentle. Debbie, Ron, Bonnie, Meggan, Sheila, James, Corinne, the night MH Tech (sorry I didn't ask your name), and anyone else on unit 100 thank you so much for creating such a safe and comfortable environment. You really went above and beyond the call to service. To the two art and music therapists, thank you both, wonderful work. Thoroughly enjoyed your sessions. Elaine, Andrea truly above and beyond work you did couldn't ask for better social workers. You made my transition in and out of the hospital so easy. Greg and Jake at intake you immediately eliminated any fears I had. Greg was honestly the light of the whole experience. Incredible. I could not be where I'm at on my healing journey without each and every one or you.
The doctors/NP were all very kind and helpful as well but I only saw them for maybe 15 minutes total combined. But Dr. Oliver was fantastic discussing my treatment options and getting me settled into meds.
