I came from a bigger city with lots of choices for mental health care. This is by far the best care I have ever received. You get a caseworker to help you with literally anything. The Doctor is willing to work with you and allows you to take a part in your care. The therapist that I have is a trauma expert. I am so thankful for this place.

I seen an ob/gyn NP and really liked her and felt her exam for problem was adequate. What I did not like was the dictation goes on to say Upon exam : ears,eyes,nose,throat clear. Lungs clear to auscultation, abdomen no masses or tenderness, etc etc. she did not touch any of those areas. Is this to bill my insurance at a higher code. .. ?

Had my sweet baby in via c section in May 2024 and my experience was the absolute best.I had a c section previously in Cambridge and that was an absolute crap shoot. St Luke's took everything I put in my birth plan and made sure it was 100% followed. It was very smooth. Dr. Swanson is an amazing OB and helped me through a very trying pregnancy. Our room in the birthing center was wonderful, the care of all the birthing center staff and their attentiveness is unbeatable.I had infusions for iron at the infusion center - they were wonderful and very prompt.I also had a hospital stay during my pregnancy for a kidney stone. The room was small but other than that, the staff were great. They informed me of everything that was going on. I also ended up having a cystoscopy and Dr. Carrie was very understanding of my concerns and very informative. Having all this during a pregnancy was very nerve racking and my care team was attentive to my needs and helped me through every step of the way.I prefer to drive here than to any local hospital. Only improvement - different pillows...the pillows are not very comfortable.

My experience at Aspirus St. Luke's was fantastic. There was a surgery that was required. I arrived early in the morning and the team was prompt and had me admitted and into the prep area rather quickly. All the nurses were friendly and helpful for the start and post operation. It was nice to have smiling friendly faces after I awoke from the procedure. It's always interesting to see the bad comments about hospitals. This is a difficult role and my experience was very positive. Five stars plus.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with St. Luke's Mental Health Clinic. I truly hope that my review helps others considering seeking care here. When I entered the building for my first appointment, I was guided to a private room and sat down with a very kind woman who then asked me to share my story. At the end of the hour, she looked at her clipboard and said, "I think (therapist name) is going to be a great fit for you." I was so impressed that St. Luke's took the time to match patients with a therapist who would be their best fit, instead of just sticking them in available slots or making them choose based on online bios. I have been with my therapist for many years now and I can say she is the perfect therapist for my needs, and I am so grateful for the lovely woman who matched us together. My experience attending treatment at this facility is what saved my life. I was welcomed judgement free from day one and was treated with the upmost care for my entire stay. The staff only saw me for my potential instead of seeing me only for my past mistakes. I was given individualized care which challenged me to grow and take accountability for my past actions. Over my 45 day stay, I worked closely with all the staff and was provided with excellent support and education on my disease. They loved me until I was able to love my self. Thanks to the hardworking and supportive staff at Phoenix House I now have 4.5 years clean. I have been working as a Recovery Coach for the past 3 years and have just passed the exam to become a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. The likelihood of me being where I am at today would be shockingly low, if not zero, if not for my time spent at Phoenix House.

My son just recently went to Koinonia in Rhinelander. For him, let's just say when he left he cried & was scared to leave there. This is saying a whole lot!! It was structured, a great counselor, & they kept them busy with lots of group sessions. He needed this. I suggest a Sober living housing after this, which my son refused cuz he wanted to work. The only problem I have with this Rehab is that it's only 30 days, u can't stay any longer. My son said he asked & it's 800$'s a day there after that even insurance won't cover. This just isn't right. Well, unless u are Native American & the tribe pays. But others don't have this type of money & so badly need way longer to recover. Sadly, I have my doubts for my son. He did great there but it should have been waayy longer for him. It breaks my heart when he was so very close.

Recovery is a personal journey and it's outcome is ours to choose. Is it tough, yes. Is it sometimes emotional, if you're doing it right, yes. Did we color, sure! And role played and talked and laughed- a lot!! Never once was I made to feel less than anyone. The staff at Koin showed me how to look at myself in a new light and gave me tools to build a life and confidence I had never known before. The outside recovery groups that visit weekly are as supportive and have continued to help me on my path a year later. I'm grateful to Koin and the AA and NA groups. I love going back every Sunday to meet and support the current clients and learn their stories and see their own growth! Best experience of my life!

I have been back in MN for approximately 18 years now, it took me a long time to find a Dr. that actually values her patients opinions.
