I lived for 9 months and I really liked it very much. They had adult sized tricycles in 2015. I would ride them around on the property to and from the Scripps Mansion and to the circle drive near the men’s treatment center. I tried riding to and from the gym/ physical therapy building where the business offices and printing press for the magazine journal. It was too hard going up hill but a breeze coming back down to the bridge . Then I had to get off and push it up to the treatment center for women. I really enjoyed my time at this place. However all good times have to end and mine ended .

Not only did I get my life back, I'm living a quality of life I didn't even see as possible before treatment. It was hard, hard work, but I'm a much better member of my community now, as well as engaging with life in fuller and more healthy ways. I thank God daily for the gifts and grace I received through treatment at Guest House!

* it's a long read, yet I hope this helps others decide to commit to this place and recovery* this was my 1st time in a detox since 2012. I only stayed 3 days due to the fact that I need weeks to come off my Suboxone that I have been on for near 6 years now and to get off of kratom and 7oh (kratom is NOT the same as 7oh just so u know,... 7oh is extracted from kratom and synthesized to make 7oh so it's extremely potent) I wanted to walk out of that place completely off everything but the intake Nurse/P.A. and I argued over my impulsiveness for stopping my Suboxone yet once she explained the weendown process I accepted it, it's not possible how I wanted to do it and she reminded me to slow down and realize my impulsiveness..3 months minimum of slowly lowering my dose to getting shots and then after about 3months I could be free, so i decided to stay to get thru my withdrawals from kratom and 7oh (withdrawals very intense yet short lived) the detox psychologist, I believe his name was Ray, made me realize so much about myself in our 2 short encounters that changed my thoughts and thinking as well as my understanding of myself drastically for the better. He's an ol'school cat, war vet, grandfather and his general aura and vibe was genuine and real. And the fact that he was so natural was a relief. All the detox nurses were great...except 1. She had shoulder length blonde hair and treated us like inmates rather than people who self-committed themselves to their facility. I won't go to deep cuz it isn't that deep but nurses like her and her judgement and condescending tone when speaking AT u not WITH u will be the cause of ppl leaving AMA. We enter a program vulnerable and she make u feel like dog shit on the bottom of her shoe SMH yet there was a male nurse with glasses and shoulder length light hair (not really blonde tho) and I believe he wore glasses, was so AMAZING. He introduced himself, came out to our smoking area and conversated with us (briefly) as the people we are. He showed kindness and care where that 1 woman nurse neglected to treat us as and for that I appreciate you even tho I don't remember his name. I've been home just over a week now and have not run back to my kratom/7oh addiction...my appointment is coming up in October to start my process of getting off my Suboxone properly. Now as for the intake process, yes it's a lil cold and rough, you have got to understand they are the 1st contact point for those coming into treatment. They see EVERYTHING, Who goes to detox sober/straight...I have yet to see that in my on and off recovery from 2000-2026, so they are getting the absolute worst of our selves when arriving. They must be stern and thorough in the start. Like no nonsense. I wasn't greeted with smiles and faith and I didn't arrive with smiles and faith such as that so I'm not mad and nobody attitude could stop me from wanting it... Take what applies to you and ur life and forget the rest. I would recommend this place to others. ( If u are going in prepare urself, read their list of approved items, and/or call the office and ask if you're curious if you can bring something that isn't on that list and what kind of packaging or even ingredients are restricted). And say this because I didn't get my deodorant and the only makeup I got that I brought was my liquid foundation but who tf am I truly trying to impress with my looks while detoxing LOL no biggie. It was battle that I chose not to fight...my zest bar soap worked just fine and deodorant.

Class's was Very great But people are still takeing food out of the cafeteria every night some can and some can't the one M,T, Needs schooling just 1 of them name starts with a B and end's with a Y, with (5) letters. She is not a people person. I will not be back or send anyone to them. The stars are for the schooling and counselors and the employees and M,T, that do their job have a great day. thank you

I was so scared and worried about what was going on with me and my memory. I didnt think there was any hope and this place gave me that hope.

I had an excellent experience with Milford Counseling Center and highly recommend them, especially for anyone going through the driver’s license restoration process. Their substance use evaluation services were professional, thorough, and handled with genuine care and respect. Dave was outstanding to work with — knowledgeable, understanding, and easy to talk to throughout the entire process. He made what could have been a stressful experience feel comfortable and straightforward. Ally in the office was also the utmost outstanding. She was friendly, organized, responsive, and incredibly helpful with scheduling and answering questions. The entire staff treated me with professionalism and compassion from start to finish. If you need a substance use evaluation for license restoration in Michigan, this is definitely a place you can trust - not to mention their rate is substantially lower than other providers listed in the state’s directory. I recently experienced River’s bend for about three or four months and they did a fantastic job. The group therapy as well as the one-on-one therapy really worked. The tips they provided were useful. The therapists were phenomenal, they really listen and took time out to understand and provide solutions to any problem you were having.

So far I’m happy I found this place. In my third week of IOP and Logan the group therapist for 2 of the 3 groups is tremendous, relatable and couldn’t be more caring.

I came to Rose Hill in July 2005. I was put on the right medication but gained a few pounds. I went through the program being on three different crews. The work therapy program is top notch. In August of 2022 I decided to go off my medication completely. I lost weight but was very manic and went to the Hurley hospital psych ward then back to Rose Hill for a 'tune up'. The Rose Hill psychiatrist got me back on medication and I'm very successful today in the community. I currently have one job that I've held for almost ten years at Genesys Health Club. The program carries on after leaving campus. I'm in the Community Support Program (csp) with some appointments at Rose Hill Center. I highly recommend Rose Hill Center.

I got a lot of support for my mental health. Very professional and they care deeply for each resident. They helped me find my self confidence and self worth. Most importantly they work as a team. I got support not just with my mental health but they provided an autism specialist who greatly improved my quality of my life. I owe Rose Hill so much to my life also the offer DBT therapy which challenged me to improve myself and receive support to reach my goals. My DBT coach Laura gave me hope to a broggter future and helped me with dealing with extreme anxiety. I totally recommend Rose Hill for mental health and people who are on the autism spectrum. Would love to one day share my personal experience in hopes to reach out to people who would benefit services from Rose Hill.

Truly a wonderful opportunity to experience if you’re looking to change your life. Unlike the typical, more “hospital like” residential, Rose Hill encourages independence and helping you build skills to use in the real world. My time at Rose Hill, as a resident, has changed my life. I would say the biggest pros are: You get to keep your phone, they don’t stop you from vaping/smoking nicotine, you can have your car there under certain circumstances, you can go out on “day passes” into the community, there are many outings on a weekly basis, you get to go grocery shopping on a weekly basis as well, and you get your own, decently spacious room. Rose Hill has competent and caring social workers/case managers, therapists and floor staff. People you can tell that truly care. I’d suggest Rose Hill if you want to change your life.

I am a patient at Sacred Heart. There staff is amazing and very resourceful. Also my therapist is so understanding and supportive I honestly feel like she is family! I would highly recommend them to loved ones etc

Works with you with your personal recovery journey, friendly staff and counselors, never too crowded, personal check in routine allowing for a more convenient check in and out. Caring nurses. After 4 different clinics, I recommend this one.

Just like anything else in life, it's what you make of it. Is this place run perfectly? No. Can you begin a life altering journey here? Absolutely. If you whine and cry, you will be miserable anywhere you go. Blaming others for your bad behavior should be one of the first things to go.

5 stars although I believe I would have enjoyed my stay more thoroughly had I had a Jacuzzi in my room !!! and I was blessed to only have had a roommate for 1 night that they placed another human in my room out of 30 I was there? Just my opinion? As for the program, saved my life ! When I really didn't care to myself, I learned a lot while I was there. Most importantly I somehow had the epiphany that I never went to treatment because I wanted to quit using drugs, I went to treatment because I still wanted to use despite heavy consequences and I didn't know how to stop, and I had exhausted every resource I could come up with to continue using. I have now been drug and alcohol free for 17 months and my life is better than ever, I didn't expect to get this far , this easily. A certain staff member really helped me in making the next next decision on where to go from Eastwood that was a very important decision, not to go back into the same environment where I consistently succeeded to use a failed to stay clean, now matter how many reasons I came up with, or who else I could convince that it was a sound decision. I face my problems today and almost look forward to solving my problems as they arise ,there's nothing that can will would or could stop me from living a good life other than poor choices that would or could lead me in the wrong direction.

This is far and away the best in-patient rehab center in Southeast Michigan. The overwhelming majority of negative reviews are predicated upon "I didn't stay sober!" or "My [son, brother, husband] didn't stay sober!" Sorry, but no recovery program can do the work on your behalf. Period. Eastwood provides and instills all the resources, tools, and planning that anybody needs to recover. Rehab is a stepping stool out of the hole you're in; unfortunately you still have to climb, or build the ladder (with 12 steps). The majority of staff are themselves in recovery, and wholeheartedly dedicated to guiding others and sharing what they have achieved. There is not a better collection of people who sincerely want to save your life than Gwen, Eric, Tim, Kim, Jake, Jeremy, Jason... ALL of these angels. This building is a beacon of hope, a light that can help anyone find their way out of the darkness of addiction. I showed up here with nothing but desperation, and was provided with shelter, a warm bed, hot food, medical assistance, a wide-variety of programming that attacks my addiction from every angle. Eastwood provided everything from clothing and hygiene products to peer recovery coaching and out-patient aftercare, to long-term sober living once you complete programming. You can show up here broke, broken, and on the brink of death..and depart with literally everything you need to become your best you. They make sure you don't leave until you have housing or a safe place to go to. They make sure you have a plan for the necessary help after in-patient. They make sure you're ready, that you're okay. If you or somebody you know has an alcohol or drug problem, Eastwood will truly provide every single thing needed to put the pieces of your life back together. This is an ongoing community, this is truly a brotherhood. This place and these people are keeping people out of cages and graves. They care. They will love you until you love yourself. Does that sound corny? I think killing yourself with drugs and alcohol sounds pretty corny. Pick one. This place matters <3
