Don’t come here if you’re not ready to put in the work it takes to heal your mental health. The counselors here are amazing — they really care, but they’ll also challenge you to face the things you’ve been avoiding. The staff is attentive and supportive, always willing to help when you need something. The rooms are comfortable, the view is beautiful, and the food is actually really good. This isn’t a place to just relax and coast — it’s a place to grow, reflect, and do the hard work to better yourself. If you’re willing to do that, you’ll get a lot out of being here.

After attempting recovery many times at many places I finally found a place with not just run of the mill staff, but actual role models. The majority of staff here have struggled with addiction at one point or another themselves and are fully capable of understanding the situations many of us have been through prior to to coming here. From the techs, facilitators and therapists all the way up to the CEO, these people are great examples of what recovery can look like. The atmosphere has a balance of being professional yet fun. And the staff here manage to be empathetic towards the clients while also pushing us to find accountability in our lives and become better people. The housing is clean and well maintained. Clients go on "field trips" once a week to do cool stuff like kayaking, hiking, snorkeling, movies, etc. It was a relief to have found a place that is fun to be at and gives you the tools you need to have a successful transition from addiction to being a productive member of society. They truly deserve all 5 stars!

When I initially started, I was completely shattered and unsure if it was the right fit. However, they showed unwavering dedication to my well-being even when I lost hope. I wholeheartedly recommend this program to anyone in recovery. The team is genuinely invested, listens attentively, and exhibits great patience. Tribe deserves all the credit for my progress in recovery. 5 months sober and still continuing! My experience at amethyst was extraordinary. the staff was very supportive and I never felt like I was inconveniencing anyone by asking for something. The environment is very clean and the food is delicious and they even offer an alternative menu if the scheduled meal is not to your liking. it's very evident the entire team at amethyst works in client's best interest and really wants to see people get well. The aftercare planning is also remarkable. Amber is very thorough to ensure things outside of the facility are handled such as court or work and Kyliee ensures you have a plan when you leave. staff shoutouts also to Sal, Dustin, rob, Janet, kila, nate, Nicole (both), Jen, Alyssa, Dave, John (both), Desmond, leah, and savannah. Nursing is also compassionate and thank you to amber, nyaisha, Victoria, Abby, inocia, jess, Candice, Nicole, Cassandra, Sherry, Charmaine, and Nicole p. Kim is the alumni coordinator and so sweet. She ensures you have support afterward. Facilitators offer a variety of topics and it helps to speak in a group setting. if you and considering sending someone you care about here, I cant say strongly enough, you've found the right place. If you're looking at this review for yourself, you dont have to suffer any longer. Pick up the thousand pound phone and start changing your life. Youre worth it.

This Luxury recovery was amazing the nurses, care, groups, and group facilitators, the food and the cafeteria staff, physical therapist (Charlie) therapist, (Melanie) EMDR (Olivia) therapist, alumni on staff (Ian and John) the atmosphere was absolutely beautiful. The recreation set up from Pickleball to volleyball to yoga and art. Were all totally impressive. The small touches like the grand piano the guitar and the musical instruments for people to have an outlet are amazing. I have never seen more caring, empathetic, and non-judgmental nursing staff with Nina, Rosemary, Chris, Kim, and Kim, Sharon and Stephanie and Demara And so many more. I love the foundations app. It keeps me in touch with the alumni and events and accountable with daily check ins. Ian for sharing that. It’s a wonderful tool. The Koi pond and waterfall were gorgeous pool And Jacuzzi, relaxing and the walks very refreshing. I am grateful for the opportunity to spend a couple of weeks here.

Hi I'm Michael Fulton ive been too coastal detox many times.Over the coarse of two years its a shame as too how many times it was .probably 20 times But it's not the place ,staff,medical or the therapist. I'm a alcoholic and been so for 45 years or more the family thats owns and runs coastal detox are so caring for addicts, alcoholics,and mental health they make sure and only hire people who have the same love,devotion towards the clients. I'm writing this because .(I'M FINALLY SOBER FOR OVER A YEAR) the first time in 50 plus years without being in JAIL,PRISON OR TREATMENT CENTER and between those 3 place in them many times BECAUSE OF MY ADDICTION but being honest about it. ALL of these places tried too help me (COASTAL DETOX) went above and beyond for ME coastal detox (MRS JUDY) I new treatment centers, detox, hospital, jails, BUT DIDNT know recovery I THANK GOD EVERY DAY THAT COASTAL DETOX LET ME GO BACK THERE ONE MORE TIME because everyone else were done with me. I'M SAYING ALL THIS TOO SAY YES ITS NICE TOO BE IN 5 STAR TREATMENT CENTER, DETOX IT MAKES IT EASIER THE STAFF SO HELPFUL AND KIND. ( BUT PLEASE DON'T BE LIKE ME AND TAKE IT ALL FOR GRANTED) IM THE ONLY KID MY MOM HAS LEFT BECAUSE OF ADDICTION IM SO GRATEFUL FOR COASTAL IVE NOT TOUCHED A DROP OF ALCOHOL SENCE I LEFT THERE NOW IM ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF MY MOM WHO LOST EVERYTHING BECAUSE OF ALCOHOL AND DRUGS SEE SHE NEVER USED ANYTHING BUT LOST EVERYTHING BECAUSE OF ADDICTION. Ambrosia in Port St. Lucie is an incredible facility with outstanding professionals. Nadine was my therapist and she was an absolute 10/10 clinician—incredibly supportive, skilled, and impactful. Additionally, James, who ran the family groups, was phenomenal in his approach. Even though my own family wasn't present, the environment he created allowed us to support one another seamlessly—such as reading letters out loud to stand-in family members in the audience. It created a deeply powerful space for healing grief. Now, eight years sober, I highly respect their professionalism and would recommend their program to anyone looking for true support.

If you or a loved one is struggling, I highly recommend Ambrosia Treatment Center. It truly changes lives. The admissions team is professional, knowledgeable, and empathetic (Specifically Alan) which reassured me that I came to the right place. The admissions process was seamless! I’m beyond grateful for the care and support my sister received here. The therapists and counselors are incredibly knowledgeable and approachable, always going above and beyond to help work through challenges at your own pace. The mental health support is just as strong as the substance abuse treatment, making a huge difference in her journey. I can’t say enough amazing things about this facility!

My daughter was at Ambrosia for several months and we had a positive experience. The best part about Ambrosia was the therapist. Therapist Katelyn is the first therapist who my daughter ever felt a connection to. Katelyn was absolutely amazing with my daughter and to our family. Best staff ever! Relaxing place to detox. Edit: Dr. Cordero-Torres is the medical director and he also oversees the Broward Health psych ward. He makes MAJOR cash. When I had primo insurance he made sure to take advantage of it.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this place changed my life. I came here after an overdose and a heart attack, not knowing if I’d make it. Today, I’ve been sober since October 13th, 2021—and haven’t relapsed since. 🙏The staff truly cared and gave me the tools and support I still use every day. How to explain it cause dr betty is very nice and sometimes if you need help then she always take you in very early and the staff in the front office they are very nice but don't let the bad vibes hurt/fool you because the new horizons stuart is always here to help or the injection from fort pierce to stuart injection staff that gives me the injection every 3 month's they are helpful and nice so if you need help again then new horizon stuart they got your back with meds. This was my first time in treatment, and didn’t know what to expect. The staff was kind and professional. The way therapy groups are structured, created a daily routine and schedule to simplify the path to recovery. All staff were caring and supportive of all clients, but a few that really went the extra mile for me like Janie, Trish, Linda and Leigh really stood out to me. The sense of community and friendships I made, have definitely left a mark and had a hand in shaping my path in recovery.

I have had an amazing experience with this facility...recovery that sticks...from the new housing, great staff, and flexible food options...I was given the care I needed to get things right in my life and beat addiction...the staff is great, Jess my therapist is incredible to work with and can connect with anyone in a friendly way that can be appropriately tough when needs to be but is relatable and encouraging, it's obvious she loves what she does, my caseworker Janey gave me solutions that set me up for success during and after php level of care, and she goes above and beyond what's required to make things possible for us...last but not least I cannot forget the techs the blue that holds the place together. RBS techs are behind the scenes and available keeping everything running through the day and available 24 hours a day. They keep the place clean they get the beds ready they make sure we get to and from where we need to be. They also go out of their way getting us all the varies requests that we make that they don't necessarily have to do all in the kindness of their hearts... When we have bad days they still get the job done no matter where the clients are at or how they are being treated they're sensitive to the fact that sometimes we're difficult and our moods can go up and down trying to deal with so many new people while we're trying to get sober and learn coping skills. Out of all the techs I would have to say Taylor has gone above and beyond we had a rough start the first time that I tried to come through and I left... When I came back and actually finished this program you forgave me for how I was and has gone out of her way to help with little things that made big differences. She handles her daily responsibilities thoroughly and make sure things are done right and with care. Thank you RBS for this amazing experience I will be forever grateful!!! P.S. special thanks to all the people involved in my recovery here but I haven't mentioned therapists, techs, caseworkers, doctors, nurses, clinical directors, and all of the incredible group facilitators that fed me what I needed to overcome the need to use substance helping find that I never had a substance issue that I had an issue with my life and the way things were going. For showing me a different solution for those troubles that don't lead to substance abuse.

Every residential program comes with its own set of challenges, especially when children are involved, and this one is no exception. You can’t let the actions of a few staff members who struggle with good decision‑making define the entire team. This work is incredibly demanding, and there are many staff members who show up every day committed to making a real difference in these kids’ lives and setting them up for success. Their dedication deserves to be recognized. Even so, I want to acknowledge the consistency and communication I experienced throughout my son’s stay. His therapist (Thanks Mr. A!) made weekly calls, sharing the positives, the challenges, and the milestones—big or small. That level of transparency mattered to me. I can’t say my son made a complete turnaround, but I also recognize that growth requires personal effort and accountability. This environment isn’t meant to be all play and games; it’s a place where real work has to happen. If I’m being fully honest, I did feel there could have been stronger consequences and accountability for certain decisions. At the same time, I understand how difficult it is to navigate these situations in a residential setting. It’s a tough environment to manage, and there are no perfect solutions. Overall, despite the complexities, I appreciate the dedication and communication from the staff. Progress isn’t always linear, but the support was there. The residential facility had two incredible nurses, Mrs. M and Mrs. M, who truly carried a mama’s heart. I always felt they cared for the residents as if they were their own children. Even when the updates about my child weren’t what I wanted to hear, they had a way of turning a difficult situation into something constructive and hopeful. Their compassion and steady presence made a real difference. Although I genuinely felt my son would have benefited from staying longer, I also recognize that the staff advocated for him and that some decisions were simply beyond their control. Even with those limitations, I could see they were trying to do what they believed was best within the structure they had to work with.

You have to stay ahead of appointments, prescriptions, medications, etc. Dr Kepfer is experienced and knowledgeable psych Dr. she will guide you in the right direction. As a patient you have to follow through with orders. Mental health is difficult. We have to be proactive about our self care and educate ourselves on diagnosis. Medication is a “helper.” I, you, all patients must learn about your disease. Group therapy is an excellent way to learn about yourself, triggers, coping mechanisms, side effects, etc. If you’re not willing to help yourself, you can’t expect your dr to fix everything.

I don't think a day goes by that I don't thank dunklin and God for saving my son's life. Every time I got a phone call in the middle of the night I thought it was the police calling to tell me my son has died from an overdose. Through the mercy and the grace of God, Dunklin was put into my son's life and an entire family was forever changed. Thank you god and thank you dunklin for saving Bobby Ricchiuti.
