Anthony and Nicole, as well as the other counselors have all been a tremendous help and everyone is always there to lend support when you need it! From day one, the staff has been supportive, attentive, and in constant communication with our family. When he first arrived, we questioned whether this was the right fit. The environment is more of a real-life, sober living setting rather than a locked-down or hospital-style facility. Initially, this felt intimidating—especially given my nephew’s social anxiety and his past experiences at other programs he left before completing 30 days. However, Rolling Hills has proven to be exactly what he needed. Through a combination of quality group meetings, individual therapy, and the structure of real-life living—staying busy and connecting with like-minded peers—he is truly thriving. They helped me unlock so much in my recovery, and I left my 30 day treatment feeling like a truly new man. I feel like Im a version of myself that I didn’t know existed. I have such supreme admiration for the boots on the ground: Marguerite, Kelly, Sheets, and Jeff, to the case managers (shoutout Maggie), to the group leaders like Betty, Scott, Nick, Donald, Kevin, Rob, Ben, to the nursing and RSS staff, the cleaning staff, and kitchen staff. They all contributed in saving my life. The frustrations stem from the negligence at the top levels of this company. There were several situations, and altercations that put the patients hygeine, safety, and ultimately, sobriety in jeopardy due to extreme budget cuts. The “interim ceo” peacocks around the hallways, and when directly adressed by patients with issues about patients concerns, he smugly passes the buck and ignores said issues. If it werent for these frustrations, this place could be the gold standard for recovery. For these reasons, I give the staff a 9 out of 5, and the pencil pushers a resounding 0 out of 5. From the very beginning, I felt confident that my son was in the right place and working with the right person. Sean kept me informed of every major development, whether positive or challenging. He communicated clearly, consistently, and with genuine concern for my son’s well being. When my son wanted to give up, which happened more than once, it was Sean’s dedication, patience, and steady guidance that kept him grounded. He supported my son through some very difficult moments and helped him stay committed to the program when he felt like walking away. What impressed me most was that Sean never pushed my son to make decisions for anyone else not for me, not for him, not for the program. Instead, he helped my son understand that recovery only works when you choose it for yourself. That shift in mindset was transformative, and it happened because Sean knew how to reach him, speak to him, and guide him without judgment. It is rare to find someone with this level of compassion and dedication for people they do not know personally. Sean’s own experience and journey make him a powerful example of what is possible. You cannot teach that kind of empathy. It comes from lived experience, resilience, and a genuine desire to help others out of the same darkness he fought his way through. In my opinion, Sean is nothing short of a blessing for individuals and families facing the challenges of addiction. My first few weeks were streamlined, cohesive and well structured. Groups were held by positive experienced professionals who more than anything want to see the clients succeed in sobriety and achieve a better life. They treat you like adults not criminals and cater to your goals, personality and level of treatment. Good food, warm community and daily AA meetings and sponsorship availability. Transportation was on time and they were available to take you to appointments, interviews, etc. Housing was incredible and high quality (Clean, big, and modern amenities). It's almost impossible to come out of this program without having gained an amazing experience, therapy and sober support. The nurse Sydney is absolutely the sweetest person you'll ever meet. I went there over a year ago and and she remembered me and made sure my stay there was comfortable. Being a decent human being/and/or being nice about it. I tried called the Sterling location 5 times where my friend is. She told me there is in IN FACT beds available but the person on the phone wasnt so friendly..almost demeaning. He said "just because there's beds available doesn't mean there's beds available". I was very confused...almost like he didn't want to help me save my life. And he was just annoyed to be answering the phone. He told me over and over in an annoyed and stern voice as I was in tears to call back at 9am.
